“Jeanne Cooper, aka Mrs. Chancellor, has worked that role to the max. Her book is equally good. Jeanne is still young and restless.”
—Aretha Franklin
“I loved my dear friend Jeanne’s book so much that I read it in a day and a half! She’s one of a kind, and
Not Young, Still Restless
definitely does her justice.”
—Lee Phillip Bell, cocreator,
The Young and the Restless
and
The Bold and the Beautiful
“Daytime’s undisputed grande dame delivers a no-holds-barred memoir so full of heart, wit, and insight that reading it is like sitting with a glass of fine wine and the great lady herself. Jeanne Cooper’s memoir,
Not Young, Still Restless
, is a gift, not only to her millions of fans and admirers, but to anyone interested in how a talented, independent woman thrives and survives eight decades in this brutal business of show without compromising her principles, her work, or her fierce individuality. Ms. Cooper is a treasure, truly one of a kind, and her memoir is a helluva good read!”
—Anthony “Tony” Geary, Luke on
General Hospital
“Fasten your seatbelt! You are about to fly with Wilma Jeanne Cooper as she is blown up, down, and sideways through eighty-three fabulous years of life! Smashingly funny, heartachingly honest, and loaded with some damn fine dish (yep, she kisses
and
tells!), this is much more than a memoir. It’s a handbook for survival. You won’t just admire this woman’s feisty grace and old-soul wisdom, you will want to be her when you grow up.”
—Michael Logan,
TV Guide
“This amazing woman and I have known each other since we really were ‘young and restless.’ How wonderful to have a book that shares her life with the world, and how blessed I was to have been part of it all—her incomparable talent when we worked together on movies and TV shows, including many episodes of Perry Mason, and at-home time with our families, trying to keep our kids (and husbands) out of trouble. I simply adore her. Take her home with you—the book, I mean.”
—Barbara Hale, actress, and
Perry Mason
’s iconic Della Street
“Written beautifully, lived beautifully. As spectacular as she is to know, the journey was even more fabulous. So that’s how it’s done.”
—Hillary B. Smith, actress,
The Doctors,
As the World Turns, One Life to Live,
and
The Bold and the Beautiful
“I love working with Jeanne. She has a great sense of humor and she and I don’t hold back with our opinions. I have warm feelings for her because I respect the fact that she has survived in this business for so long and is still standing strong.”
—Eric Braeden
“Jeanne Cooper is a wildly interesting woman, and lucky for us, she has written a wildly interesting memoir. Treat yourself.”
—Marcia Wallace, actress and author of
Don’t Look Back, We’re Not Going That Way
“What a great life Jeanne Cooper has had! And here she is, having come full circle. Jeanne started out young and innocent and has ended up
old
and
innocent
.”
—Susan Flannery, Golden Globe
and Emmy Award–winning actress
