“How many times do I have to remind you that I am a married woman?” Farrah rolled her neck.
“I'm not the one who needs to be reminded,” J.R. said, smirking, and headed into the bathroom.

J.R. was well into his set. He had the entire audience in the palm of his hand. Over 2,000 adoring fans rapped along and swayed to the beat of his songs. The Parisian women in the crowd were losing their mind. They screamed, begged for the touch of his hand, and even threw their bras and panties onto the stage. Farrah and Sydney stood on the side of the stage and watched with admiration while J.R. commanded the crowd. She had originally planned on heading straight to Stella McCartney's ultra-exclusive party as soon as she finished getting J.R. dressed, but like everyone else in attendance, she couldn't help but become entranced by J.R.'s tone and mannerisms. His swag was impeccable. There was no denying it. Once you saw him live, you quickly realized that he had the X factor.
J.R. was born to be a star. The black snapback with
L.A.
written in white, bold print, black- and-white paisley print T-shirt, Rick Owens jeans and sneakers heightened his star quality. As the band slowed down the tempo, Farrah found herself bobbing her head to the pleasant sound of a song she'd never heard before.
“This a new joint, y'all,” J.R. said into the microphone. “I wrote this a couple of weeks ago. Rock wit' me.”
Unsure of what was about to happen, Farrah looked on diligently. As the lights dimmed and turned red, J.R. stood center stage in front of the mic stand. The red hue from the strobe lights seemed to be making erotic love to his cocoa skin as he rapped in high regard for a woman he adored. Farrah would be lying if she didn't feel a pang of jealousy as she heard him go on and on about this amazing mystery woman he had his eyes on. Farrah kind of felt mad that J.R. had been flirting with her so much, yet all along he was feeling on somebody else.
Girl, get it together. You have no business feeling any type of way about what this dude is rhyming about,
she said to herself. She couldn't make sense of why it was even bothering her.
Then the chorus came in and the crowd went wild. J.R. had the legendary Philly diva Jill Scott on the track. The song was catchy, upbeat, and soulfully romantic. Before going into the third verse, J.R. waved his hand. Without missing a beat, the band ceased playing.
“Y'all mind if I bring somebody to the stage real quick?” he asked the audience.
Everyone roared and screamed
yes
while others pulled out their camera phones to capture the moment.
“Farrah!” J.R. turned and looked at her.
Farrah's eyes bulged.
“No,” she responded, waving her hands frantically.
“She wanna act shy. Let me go get her,” J.R. jogged over to Farrah and took her by the hand.
“What are you doing?” she asked, feeling as if her heart was going to leap out of her chest.
Thousands of eyes were on her. She had never stood in front of such a big crowd.
“Ain't she beautiful?” J.R. asked the audience, smiling from ear to ear.
The crowd shouted back
yes
. Embarrassed beyond belief, Farrah hid her face with her hands.
“Stop that.” J.R. took her hand in his. “I wrote this song for you.” He cued the band to resume playing.
She the type of girl you pray for, Wanna give your all to, Love is in her eyes, All I see is you”
J.R. rapped while holding her hand and gazing into her eyes.
With the warmth of his skin on hers, Farrah became lost in the heavenly words J.R. relayed. No one, not even her husband, had said words to her that held so much meaning. She knew that J.R. liked her, but she had no idea that his feelings ran so deep. Even though they were in an auditorium full of screaming fans, J.R. somehow made Farrah feel like it was only the two of them stading on stage. Something about his energy had her on the brink of losing control.
At that moment in time she'd do anything he pleased. J.R. had her in the palm of his hand. She was his for the taking. Before Farrah knew it the song was over. The roar from the crowd and the look of undeniable desire in J.R.'s eyes sent chills up Farrah's spine. She was hypnotized and no longer wanted to run from her emotions. Face-to-face they stood, staring into each other's eyes.
Here they were with his feelings out in the open for the world to see. Farrah could keep on pretending that his attraction for her was one-sided. But as J.R. pulled her even closer into him and placed her face in his hands, Farrah couldn't deny the lust for him that lay in every crevice of her skin.
She wanted him as much as he wanted her and when his soft lips brushed up against hers she didn't resist it. Farrah closed her eyes and welcomed the warmth of his lips on hers. She opened her mouth and invited his tongue to dance with hers. She could feel the passion in his kiss and she relished in the sweetness of his lips. Farrah kissed him with so much intensity she swore her feet levitated off the floor. Sure, she belonged to another, but she'd deal with the repercussions of her actions later. J.R. made Farrah feel like nothing negative existed in the world. There, up on that stage in front of all those people, they shared such an intimate moment. For Farrah, it was as if time stood still.
J.R. could not believe he was finally kissing the woman who had been invading his mind for the past few weeks. He never thought he'd have this opportunity. Knowing she was married, he had figured she would never let anything happen between them. So with that in mind, he hadn't seen any harm in how he'd been flirting with her. He had written the song a few days after reading the article about her. He had planned to perform it tonight, but he hadn't planned on bringing Farrah up on the stage. That had just been a spontaneous last-minute thing. Now that he knew he had her open, he no longer cared if she was married or not. This was the woman he wanted for himself and he was prepared to fight for her if he had to. You know what they say, “All is fair in love and war.”
Chapter 13
At night I think of you.
–Ghost Town DJ's, “My Boo”

Nervous as hell, Farrah paced back and forth across her living room floor, wondering if she had made the right decision.
Am I moving too fast?
she thought. But then a visual of J.R.'s face would appear in her mind and she'd remember just how much she longed to see him.
Okay, Farrah,
she stopped and looked in the mirror.
This is nothin'. You're a grown-ass woman. You ain't gonna let J.R. see you sweat. You ain't got nothin' to be afraid of. Shiiiiiiit . . . look at you. You will have his tight little ass runnin' in circles.
Farrah was chuckling when the doorbell rang.
Oh shit, he's here!
Taking a much-needed breath, she inhaled deeply and smoothed down her hair.
Okay bitch, you the shit. Let's do this,
she thought, opening the door.
“What up?” J.R. traced her physique with his eyes.
Farrah looked good enough to eat, in a gray cowl-neck, padded shoulder, long-sleeve top with the back out, black-and-white geometric print, skintight leggings and pointed toe, Christian Louboutin heels.
“Damn, you tryin' to make my heart race on purpose?” J.R. admired her curvaceous frame.
“You said wear something sexy.” She turned around to grab her clutch purse, giving him a good view of her plump ass.
“I did, but damn.” J.R. walked up behind her and wrapped her up in his arms. “Forget the date. Why don't we just fall back and stay at the crib tonight.” he kissed her softly on the neck.
The stirring feeling of his lips on her skin caused Farrah's nipples to sprout.
“No, you wanted to go out, so we're going out.” She pushed him back with her butt.
“You better watch that thing. A booty like that can cause bodily harm. And if you keep backing it up like that you gon' mess around and get yourself in trouble,” J.R. said with a sly smirk.
“Shut up and c'mon.” She dragged him by his arm.
Outside the building she expected for them to hop in his car, but was surprised when J.R. took her by the hand and began walking up the street.
“Are we going to a restaurant over here?” she wondered, confused.
“I guess you could say that.” He played coy.
“Okay.” Farrah smiled in anticipation.
“But on the real ma, you look beautiful tonight.” J.R. gazed down at her.
“Thank you.”
“I mean, you always look nice, but tonight you must've put that extra
ump
down on it,” he joked.
“You stupid,” she laughed.
“But . . . ah . . . tell me. Did you buy that outfit especially for tonight?”
“No,” Farrah lied. “This ain't even that serious.”
“Oh word? It's not. Then why you still got the tag on it?” He placed his head down and grinned.
“What?” Farrah stopped dead in her tracks, mortified.
“Here, let me get that for you.” J.R. stood behind her and reached into the back of her shirt and pulled out the tag.
She was beyond embarrassed and unable to come up with a good enough explanation other than the truth, so instead she decided she'd just play it all off. “I hope you don't think that I really went out and spent my afternoon finding this outfit for you, 'cause that's not the case. I ain't even trippin' off you like that.” Even though that was, in fact, the truth. Farrah and London had spent three hours looking for the perfect dress that hugged her body as if it was handmade according to her measurements.
“Mmm-hmm, that's what yo' mouth say.” J.R. handed her the tag and then retook her hand.
“Whateva J.R.” Farrah turned her head to the side and laughed.
“A'ight we're here,” he said, staring up at an abandoned building.
“You say what now?” She twisted up her face.
“C'mon.”
“I'm not going into that death trap. Are you crazy?”
“Farrah, I ain't got time for your bougie uppity games. C'mon.” He tugged gently on her arm.
“Okay, but if I see one thing crawl out at me I'ma kick everybody ass involved.”
Once inside the building, Farrah was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't filled with broken glass and debris. The building was actually going through its final stages of renovation.
“What is this place?”
“I'm not sure, exactly. I sort of stumbled onto it and had my assistant get me the information so I could rent it out for tonight. I wanted to take you someplace that was just for us with no other people around. You're special, Farrah, and I want to treat you as such,” J.R. said as he held her hand and they walked through the building toward a set of stairs.
“Oh, my God, J.R.. This is . . .” Farrah paused, unable to find the right words to convey how she felt. “Unexpected. I can't believe you did this for me.” She hugged him around the neck tight.
“Thanks, ma. I'm glad you're enjoying your time with me so far. But this is nothing. We're just getting started.”
“Oh really now?”
“Just wait and see.”
“Wow, okay.” Farrah continued to follow his lead.
“C'mon, that's not all I wanted to show you.” J.R. led her up the steps to the rooftop.
Upon arrival Farrah's eyes watered with tears. J.R. had decorated the entire rooftop to look like the Garden of Eden. There were imported trees with Chinese lanterns hanging from the limbs. Thousands of twinkling lights and candles lit up the sky. And in the midst of all of that was a small table set for two. To the right of the table was a tan, suede sectional and directly in front of that was a mahogany glass top coffee table with three cylinder vases filled with floating candles and petals.
“This is too much.” Farrah wiped the tears, which were falling from her eyes.
“I told you there was more,” he stated. “Here, have a seat.” J.R. pulled back her chair.
Once Farrah was seated, he poured her a glass of wine and revealed their entrée for the night, which was hidden cleverly under a silver dome.
“Bon appétit
.” He lifted the lid revealing two boxes of Chinese takeout.
Overwhelmed, Farrah cocked her head to the side and whispered, “Come here.”
J.R. gladly walked over to her. “Thank you,” she whispered into his ear. Lovingly, Farrah took his face into the palm of her hands and planted a sensual kiss on his lips.
J.R. pulled her into him and planted his hands on her hips while Farrah glided her hands all over the back of his head. As their kiss became deeper, J.R. never let go of her as he walked them toward the entrance door. Once there, he pinned Farrah up against it as his hands roamed throughout her body.
“Stop, J.R.,” Farrah managed to say in between breaths. “I can't do this,” she pleaded.
“Yes, you can,” J.R. whispered as he gently sucked on the bottom of her earlobe.
He hiked her dress up and slid his hand between her thighs. Before Farrah could grab his hand to try and stop him, his fingers grazed along her pussy lips and penetrated her walls and she instantly became wet. She moaned and groaned as his fingers probed and played with her insides. All she could do at this point was throw her head back in defeat as his lips made their way down her neck. With his free hand he pulled her dress down to expose her beautiful breasts. Farrah's dress was so tight she wasn't able to wear any underwear with it. He squeezed her right breast and took the nipple into his mouth. He sucked and played with her perfectly round nipple as his fingers came in and out of her cave.
“Take your dress off and lay down on the couch for me,” he instructed as he took a step back and started to take his clothes off.
Without hesitation, Farrah did exactly as she was told. She undressed herself and made her way to the sectional. She was past the point of no return. She knew what she was doing with J.R. was wrong because she was still married, but her body was yearning for more of his touch.
J.R. walked over to her fully naked. This man had one of the sickest bodies Farrah had ever seen. Seeing him standing before her, the best she could compare his body to was Lance Gross from
Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor
. You would never guess this man was so perfectly sculpted and chiseled underneath the clothes. He got on top her and they were skin to skin. She could feel his hard penis throbbing against her pelvis.
“You want me to put myself inside of you?” he asked.
“Yes, baby,” was all Farrah could muster.
He grabbed his manhood and teased her pussy lips with the tip of his dick before thrusting himself deep inside of her. Farrah groaned and thrust her hips as he pumped in and out of her. Without warning she felt an orgasm creep up on her.
“I'm about to cum!” she screamed.
“Say my name!” he ordered her.
Farrah was so enthralled in her body clenching up and about to explode she couldn't find the strength to say anything. She had never experienced a feeling like this. She had always considered Mills to have given her the best sex of her life, but that all changed tonight.
“Say my name, Farrah!” he stated as he pounded her even harder.
“J.R.!” she whispered.
“Nah, say it louder!” he said. “I wanna hear you scream my name while you take this dick!” he stated while he looked down at his penis getting swallowed up by Farrah's pink, plump pussy.
“J.R!” Farrah screamed as she came all over him. She was gasping for air as every nerve and muscle in her body tensed up and then released.

Farrah woke up completely winded. Her panties were wet and her pussy was throbbing.
Did I just have a wet dream?
she asked herself as she sat up in the hotel bed. Her heart was racing and she kicked the covers off of her, being that she was sweating also. She could not believe she had just experienced her first wet dream. Until now, she'd heard and read about them, but she never thought she'd have one herself. She went to bed thinking about J.R. and trying to make sense of whatever it was that she was feeling for him, but this dream just took everything to a whole new level.
She knew she had to get ahold of herself and figure out what she planned on doing, because regardless of how she was feeling, the fact was she was still legally married to Mills. She was set to fly back to the States in the next few days, so she decided she'd use that time to pray and ask God to help her work things out. She especially prayed that her decisions would ultimately lead her to the happiness she knew she deserved.
