She shrugged her shoulders and said, “It doesn’t matter. They will be ours together. The three of us will raise them as a family. And besides, they are fraternal, so they may belong one to each of you. Either way, we will all love them and care for them, right? Does it matter to you who the biological father is?”
Nikkos
sat up and pulled both of his mates into his embrace. “No, baby, it doesn’t matter. I was just worried that any baby of mine would come with all my flaws, and Adrian’s child would be so beautiful that we would have to beat the suitors off with sticks when they came of age. Especially if they are girls.”
Anstice let out a giggle. “Sweetie, first of all, you are both beautiful males. Second, boys or girls, they are all getting locked in their rooms until they are thirty. Remember, I have seen how much trouble the two of you get into.”
Nikkos
sat up with Anstice standing in front of him. He lifted the hem of her shirt and placed kisses across her belly while he whispered to the babies.
Kassie came into the study, followed by Damian, and she asked, “Mommy, do you have a boo-boo?” Anstice shook her head. “Then why is Daddy kissing your tummy?”
Anstice held her hand out and the little girl took it. “Because Mommy is gonna have babies, sweetie. You’re going to be a big sister. What do you think of that?”
Kassie tilted her head and bit her tongue like she was thinking really hard, and then asked, “Can I name them?”
Anstice chuckled and said, “You can
help
Mommy and Daddies pick out a name, but I get the final say, okay?”
Kassie nodded her head and went back to Damian’s side, where she was obviously excited. She was still talking a mile a minute when Mikhaila, Lucian, Elijah, and Shana came into the room. Kassie informed everyone in the room she was going to be a big sister, and everyone took turns congratulating the mom and two dads.
Anstice looked around at her extended family that was about to get bigger and thought again, I really do have a perfect life.
