“Fuck baby. How do you do this to me? It’s only been a few hours since we last made love and here I am wanting you, desperate for you. I feel like a bloody horny teenager again. I just want to sink into your body and fuck you hard. I want you so much, I need you so much. Let me fuck you baby. I swear I’m about to explode.” Eric’s voice was urgent with his arousal.

Natasha felt her insides clench at his huskily spoken words and when she looked into his eyes, they burned bright blue with his desire. “Bend me over and fuck me hard Eric.” Was all she said and with a groan at her words, he led her into the bedroom and with her facing the bed, he pressed his hands between her shoulders to get her to bend over.

She bent, hands braced on the bed, her buttocks angled up to Eric and she smiled at his muffled curse and then another string of curses as he struggled to undo his pants before sliding them down his legs. His shoes were kicked off impatiently, followed by his pants and then he came up behind her, his hands caressing her buttocks before one slid between her legs, his fingers brushing her entrance. When he felt how wet she was, he groaned again.

“God what do you do to my self control? I’m sorry baby, but I need you too much to go slow.” Eric warned her and with one hard thrust, he buried himself in her to the hilt. There was no gentle build up from him this time, he just slammed into her over and over again, so she had to fist the bedding in both hands to stop herself being pitched forward onto the bed.

The room was filled with the sound of Eric’s balls slapping against her buttocks and his harsh breathing as he thrust hard and fast. Natasha could feel another orgasm building in her despite having already climaxed in the restaurant and she gasped every time he drove into her as the pleasure built inside.

“Fuck baby, I’m sorry, but I can’t wait for you.” He groaned. He curved over Natasha’s back, his hands holding her firmly as he rammed into her, dragging her back against him with every thrust of his hips. Suddenly he stiffened, a loud tortured sounding groan torn from his lips and she felt him pumping his release deep into her. He kept moving, sliding one hand down to her clitoris and with one brush of his fingers and his shaft hitting her cervix, she came apart, her orgasm exploding through her. Natasha cried out, her muscles clenching around him and he groaned again, his hips jerking in response as her inner fluttering and spasms milked him of the last drops of his seed.

Once he’d finished Eric pulled free of Natasha’s body making them both groan softly. She normally loved to just enjoy that closeness of their intimate connection but she was too heavily pregnant to spend too long bent over the bed and Eric was mindful of that.

“Hop on the bed baby. You rest.” He told her and she pulled her dress over her head before doing as he said. She crawled across the bed and lay down with a sigh, her hand coming out to take Eric’s as he tucked himself up behind her, his arm going around her waist to hold her close. “I love you baby.” He whispered and Natasha smiled.

“I love you too.” She turned her head and Eric kissed her cheek.

For now, they both just enjoyed their closeness, this time together because tomorrow they went home and neither knew what that was going to bring for them with the spectre of Vivian hanging over them. Natasha could only hope she gave up on her quest to drive them apart, but given she’d gone to the trouble to take the file from work and had possibly followed them today, Natasha wasn’t feeling too confident that the woman was just going to go away, no matter how badly she wished that, that would be the case.

The following morning, they packed up their things and headed down to the hotel’s lobby. Natasha felt a little sad to be leaving. The hotel was the one place where they could pretend everything was fine. Going home represented the unknown due to Vivian. It was frustrating this close to the birth of their twins that the focus had been taken off them and they were going to have to start looking over their shoulders in case Vivian made an appearance.

Eric and Natasha were quiet on the drive home in the limo. Eric made a couple of calls, one being to Alice to let her know they were returning a day earlier, filling her in briefly on what was going on. He also wanted to know if things had been taken care of there and although Natasha couldn’t hear Alice’s response, her answer must have satisfied Eric because he smiled, his eyes shifting to Natasha’s for a moment.

She couldn’t help feeling a spark of curiosity over his comment. What did he mean by had things been taken care of there? She contemplated asking him but once Eric had finished with Alice, he straight away made another call to the private investigator he’d hired. From the one sided conversation, it seemed Vivian hadn’t been seen and it sounded like she had flown out of the country again.

When the limo pulled up in the sweeping driveway of Eric’s home, Natasha couldn’t shake a feeling of dread that filled her. It was a relief to hear that Vivian definitely was out of the country, that had been confirmed, just no one knew how long she was gone for at this stage as she hadn’t booked a return flight.

Alice came out to greet them, hugging them both and she took some of the smaller bags as Eric and Henry carried their larger ones inside.

“Lunch will be ready in half an hour Mr Rothman.” Alice said, “That should give you time to see to things upstairs.” Her eyes moved from Natasha to Eric and when Natasha saw a look being exchanged between them, she knew something was going on.

“Thank you Alice. I have a private investigator coming here in a couple of hours so I’ll take Natasha upstairs now before lunch.” Eric turned to Natasha. “Come with me baby. I have something for you.” And he took her hand, walking her over to the lift so they could go upstairs.

“What is it Eric?” Natasha’s curiosity was peaked as they rode up in the lift but he just grinned at her, “Patience baby. All will be revealed in a minute.” His response just made her groan. He was being so mysterious and Natasha didn’t want to be patient. She felt more like stamping her foot like a petulant child rather than be patient.

When they stepped off the lift, rather than go to their bedroom as Natasha expected Eric stopped at one of the other bedrooms. The door was closed but her first clue as to what would be inside was what was hanging on the door. There were two name plates, Erica and Nathaniel.

Eric watched Natasha’s face as she read the name plates before turning to him, a glimmer of excitement showing in her eyes. He grinned at her and tilted his head towards the door, encouraging her to open it, so she did and as her eyes fell on what was in the room, she gasped.

Slowly she moved forward into the room, her eyes wide as she tried to take in all she was seeing. The first thing that hit her was the smell of new paint. The walls were a deep moss green down the lower half of all the walls and the tops were painted a creamy yellow which had been sponged over in a couple of deeper shades of yellow and some spattering of the moss green. An ornately carved length of timber ran around the walls where the two paint colours came together and it was painted white as were the skirting boards and the timber around the windows.

There was a white blind on the window with lace curtains and drapes made from yellow and green fabric and the carpet was a buttercup yellow colour. At each side of the room there were identical wooden cradles but the kinds that Natasha had wanted, the ones that rock by themselves. One was filled with pretty pink bedding and the other one had blue. Above the pink one was a mobile of butterflies and over the blue one was a mobile with spaceships and planes.

At each side of the room were matching change tables, both stocked up with nappies and everything Natasha could ever possibly need for changing the twins. There were even bins for the dirty nappies to be disposed in and a baby monitor attached to each cradle, plus night lights that were like flat discs, secured to them. In one corner was a large comfortable rocking chair covered in dark green fabric, which Natasha recognised as her chair for feeding the babies and there were white cupboards on each side of the room too. When she went to have a look, each was filled with the baby clothes she’d been buying.

Natasha turned to Eric, tears in her eyes and he simply smiled at her. “Do you like baby?” he asked her softly and she nodded, her throat too choked with tears to answer him.

She threw herself into his arms and he held her as she sniffed and sniffled. Finally she managed to choke out, “I love it Eric. It’s perfect.” Natasha smiled up at him. “How did you manage to get all this done so quickly though?” She had to ask.

“The minute we left here baby for the hotel, the crew came in to start. Bloody Vivian nearly fucked it all up though with us having to come back a day earlier. I wasn’t sure they’d be done in time but fortunately they were.”

“They’ve done an amazing job Eric. It’s just so beautiful. We’re all ready for our babies to be born now.” Natasha hugged him again. “I love you so much. I can’t believe you did this for me and you got all the things I liked too.”

“I love you too baby. I just want you to be happy.” Eric’s eyes glowed with the warmth of his love. Natasha’s smile faltered when thoughts of Vivian flooded her mind.

Somehow Eric knew what was on her mind though. “We’ll get her baby. She’s not going to hurt you. Come on, we’d better get back downstairs. Alice should have lunch ready for us now and in a couple of hours the private investigator will be here.” Eric said.

Together they went downstairs in the lift to go and have their lunch and although Natasha ate, talked and gushed to Alice about the beautiful nursery for the twins, at the back of her mind, Vivian lurked and no matter how hard Natasha tried, she couldn’t shake the feeling that trouble was coming in the form of a tall, slim model with ice blue eyes and blonde hair and no matter what was done, it wasn’t going to be enough to stop Vivian from coming after Eric or herself.

It was enough to cast a shadow over her excitement about the nursery and as Natasha gazed at Eric as he ate and talked, all she could do was hope that he was right, that all the effort he was making to keep them safe would work because she hated that their happiness as a couple and their excitement over the impending birth of their babies was marred with the potential trouble that a hateful, angry woman could cause them.

She didn’t want to think about what could happen if Vivian got to them, just how far the other woman might be prepared to go. Eric had to be right, that he could keep them all safe, because the alternative wasn’t something she could bear thinking about.

As her mind turned over with worry, she looked across at Eric again and his eyes met hers. He must have seen the concern in her eyes because he reached over and took her hand, raising it to his lips. “I love you baby. I don’t want you to concentrate on anything other than that. I will keep you safe.” And Natasha gave him a weak smile, secretly praying that he would be right.

                                                                                Chapter 31.

Two weeks later as Natasha stood in front of the bathroom mirror brushing her teeth, she watched Eric shaving as he prepared for work. He only had three more days to go and then he was going to be home until after the twins were born. He simply refused to work any longer than that and possibly risk not being there to help when her labour started.

As she finished brushing and rinsed off, Natasha picked up her brush and began to drag it through the tangled mess of her hair. A tiny smile tilted her lips when she thought about why her hair was such mess and images of her and Eric making love filled her head.

“What are you smiling about looking very much like the cat who got the cream I might add.” His eyes held hers in the mirror.

Natasha couldn’t stop herself from blushing. “Nothing, I..I was…just thinking about how you don’t have much longer at work before you’re off until after the twins are born.” She stammered.

Eric snagged her around the waist pulling her against him. “Bull shit baby. What were you really thinking about?” He asked.

Natasha’s colour darkened. “Damn you Eric, can’t a girl have secrets with you?” She complained, squealing when he nipped the side of her neck. “Ok, I was thinking about us, when we made love earlier.” Slowly she lifted her eyes to look into his through the mirror. “Happy now?”

Eric chuckled. “Fuck yes baby, I was more than happy, I was very satisfied.” He whispered his lips against her ear. “You were amazing. I love you sweetheart.”

He turned her in his arms to drop a hard kiss on Natasha’s lips and groaned. “Damn, I don’t want to leave you baby but I’m almost done with work. Things should be at the point where I can leave everyone else in charge soon and just enjoy the time at home with my gorgeous wife before these two decide to make their appearance.” Eric said, before reluctantly releasing her.

He spent a few more minutes getting ready before kissing her again and leaving for work. Natasha sighed, feeling the familiar sense of loss she always felt when Eric wasn’t around her. He had some sort of power over her, that was for sure and when he was with her, nothing else seemed to matter but when he left, it always took her a little while to get over what she called the ‘Rothman effect.’

Quickly she changed into one of her maternity sundresses in cream with purple polka dots and headed downstairs to have breakfast. Alice was bustling around in the kitchen as usual, but she turned, greeting Natasha with a warm smile. She handed over a tall glass filled with a fresh, home made banana smoothie, the latest craving that Natasha was experiencing these days. There hadn’t been any strange requests so far, although most involved dairy of some kind.

“I’m just going out on the terrace Alice, it’s such a beautiful day.” She told the older woman and headed out through the living room to the large double doors that opened out onto the terrace where less than three weeks earlier Natasha had walked on her way down the aisle to marry Eric.

She sat down on one of the chairs sipping on her smoothie as she watched the early morning activity that was already taking place on the harbour. Ferries went past, a few speed boats and yachts, there was always something going on, on Sydney Harbour. The sunlight shimmered on the water almost blinding to look at it and she shielded her eyes against the glare.
