We kiss again, this time very fervently. He whispers in my ear that my family is in the room and I must get down off of him before we start not being able to control our actions again. I slide off of him even though I don

t want to. Everyone is now congratulating us, even my dad. Seamus walks up to me, grabs hold of my hand and kisses it.

My lady, I think congratulations are due.

I quickly thank him and smile. I think that it is a little unprofessional to be kissing my hand as I am now engaged to his employer, but I do not say anything. He smiles back at me with a look of mischief in his eyes. He is so handsome. Stop Victoria, I tell myself. I am engaged now, to a wonderful man, my Mr. Right, I can

Chapter 12: The attack

             
My friends and family all seem to be really happy for me. They probably all assume that I have thought this through because I always think everything through very thoroughly, examining ever detail with a fine tooth comb. I never make rash decisions, until I met Lliam anyways. They don
’
t need to know that though.

             
Mom is talking about grandkids, dad is on the porch probably tell Lliam to take care of me and threatening his life if he doesn

t. Ellen and Lianna are over by my mom on my laptop looking at wedding dresses, and giggling like school girls. I, however, am alone on my couch, sipping on now warm champagne. Seamus walks up to me and sits down on my couch.

Forgive me, my lady, for speaking out of turn, but you look a fright. Are you ok my dear?

Me? A fright? Who does he think he is talking to? I am furious. He is staring at me with a strange look on his face and instantly I start calming down. I can barely keep my thoughts straight. What is he doing to me? There is a glowing blue ring around him, sapphire color actually, like my engagement ring. I try to speak and I can
’
t. Seamus picks me up like a baby and carries me to my bedroom. What is he doing? I try to scream, but nothing comes out. I try to hit him on his back, but my arms are not cooperating. Something is seriously wrong. The calmness leaves me when he turns his gaze away to close my bedroom door and is instantly replaced with anger. Seamus touches my arm and starts to lift my shit. I close my eyes. I figure since I started being able to move again and my anger came back when he looked away, that it must have been his eyes doing that to me. 

             
Now I am trying to fight him off.
“
With all do respect, Victoria, I am going to take you now whether you like it or not. Open your eyes, it will make it easier for you.
”
He thinks he is going to have sex with me, rape me, take me without my permission. He is nuts, he is not going to do anything to me, I would rather die.

Fuck you!

I scream.

I will not open my eyes and you will not have me anyways. Somebody will here me.
”
I scream again, louder this time. 

             
Now, I wish I had had my eyes open because I would have see his fist hurtling through the air towards my face. Wait, Lliam heard me calling him that night in the bath tub. I try to think hard for Lliam to come to my room and save me from Seamus. All the while he is trying to get my pants off. I kick him in the groin and he slaps me hard in the face. I try Lliam through my thoughts again.
Lliam, please hurry. He is hurting me. I am in my room. Please come here! Please Lliam.
He has to hear my thoughts, it is my only hope. Nobody seems to hear my yells, I really hope my thoughts make it to Lliam.

I am on the front porch talking to Matt, Victoria
’
s father. He seems like a decent man. He says he trust his daughter
’
s decision and if she chooses to marry me, than he welcomes me into his family. I am really glad that this went so well. I was so nervous. Victoria had thought all evening that I was nervous about meeting her friends and family. That wasn
’
t the case. It was mainly the fact that I was going to propose to her the first time meeting all the people she loves most. She doesn
’
t have a big family by any means, but they sure do love her. I mean, honestly, who couldn
’
t love her. She is perfect in every way.

             
I start to pick up faint cries of help from Victoria. She is trying to reach me with her thoughts.
Come to my room. Please hurry.
She sounds distressed. I tell Matt that I need to use the restroom, no use trying to explain that I can here Victoria
’
s thoughts. I reach her bedroom door. It is locked. What
’
s going on? I need to keep quiet, but I have to get in here. There seems to be some type of sound barrier spell on this room, I can sense it. Who Is in there with her? Seamus, it must be.

             
I try to think of a way to get into her room without causing a ruckus. I can
’
t hear anything from in the room do to the spell, and I am positive that they cannot hear me. That may just give me the benefit of the doubt because Seamus won
’
t be expecting me and I am almost positive that he doesn
’
t know that I can hear Victoria
’
s thoughts when I am not looking directly at her.

I don

t have much time, I need to take Victoria. I need to fuck her now. If I ruin her, Lliam will never be king. I
’
ve worked my ass off my entire life to be where I am now, and Lliam just has to marry his mate to become king. If I fuck her than bit her on her mark, she will become mine and Lliam won
’
t be able to touch her. She must be trying to call him in her mind. It won

t looking at her. She is pretty damn intelligent though even thinking to try in the first place, and she was quick to realize that if she didn

I have given her quite a few blows telling her that if she would open those pretty fucking eyes of hers I would stop hurting her, but she won

t. I think he is near, I can sense him. I finally get her pants mostly down, its now or never. I rip her panties off and spread her legs. She kicks me in the face.

She stomps on my crotch and I throw her against the wall. Shit! She is unconscious, well, I don

t have another choice. I make my way over to her to complete my plan. Just than, the door comes free of its hinges, and is set down quietly as to not draw attention. It is Lliam. Damnit! He is so fast, I figured that when I sensed him being near I would still have about ten minutes.

I know what that bastard is doing. I am picking up his thoughts. I don
’
t know why I can hear his now to, it must be because he is so close to Victoria and she is in distress. I know that while trying to rape my mate, my future wife, he has hurt her. I grab the door and tear it from the hinges as quiet as possible, and set it on the floor.

You ungrateful prick!
”
I curse at him, than I attack. I cannot kill him here, but I will take him to the queen. I bloody his nose and tie him up with Victoria

s ever so useful head scarves.

             
I run over to Victoria and cradle her in my arms. I grab a blanket and wrap her in it, then lay her on her bed. I put Seamus, still tied up out of the window and take him to the car, locking him in. I go back to her bedroom window, and climb through. Matt is coming.

Chapter 13: The lie

             
I know he is worried and wants to know what happened to his daughter. I can
’
t tell him the truth though, that would mean telling him that I am a vampire, and I can
’
t do that. I think up a story quick.

Sir, I am not sure. It appears that someone came through her window and attacked her. I have phoned the police and they are scouring the area. I heard noises in here and couldn
’
t get in, so I knocked the door down. He ran as I came in.
”

             
I am proud of myself for thinking on the spot like that, it
’
s a pretty believable story I think.

m glad you got here in time Lliam. I see you have this under control. I have to go to the office, but please, take her to the hospital if she needs and call me if you hear anything. Oh, and Lliam, can you stay here tonight? I would prefer is she isn
’
t alone here until this scoundrel is caught.
”
Wow! Matt trusts me with his daughters safety. I mean, I guess I did just prove myself to him, but it still surprises me that he is willing to trust me with her like this.

Thank you sir, I unfortunately have things to tend to at home. However, I don
’
t want her to be alone here either. I will take her to my parents place with me and if she needs to go to the hospital I will drive her myself. Though, I think she will be alright, looks like just a few bruises. She probably passed out from fear. I will keep you informed sir.

Lliam, call me Mathew.

He shakes my hand, kisses Victoria

s sleeping head then leaves.

             
Everyone else has gone already and Victoria is starting to gain consciousness.

”
She nods her head. Her eye is pretty black already and her right cheek is still pretty red. It looks like it might bruise as well.

s P.O.V

             
I hit the wall and can

t open my eyes. My head hurts, I am not unconscious, but I can
’
t get my eyes to open. Seamus thinks I
’
m asleep, and I hear the door come off the hinges. I hear a scuffle, I think Lliam is winning. Now it is quiet. What is happening? I wish I could see. My dad, I hear him. He is talking to Lliam for a few minutes, they are talking about me, about what happened. I am glad Lliam made up a story, I don
’
t want my dad to know that his driver did this to me. My dad kisses my head and leaves.

             
Lliam is talking to me now. He knows that I am awake, my eyes start opening.
“
So, the story is that someone came in my window, you scared them off and phone the police right?
”
I ask.

You heard that?
”

Well, I was awake, I just couldn

t move or open my eyes. I think I was to scared or something. I could hear everything though. None of this is your fault Lliam, don
’
t think it is. You got here in time to save me from being raped. I would rather have a few bumps and bruises than be forced into having sex with that monster! By the way, where is he now?

Lliam explains to me that Seamus is tied up in my head scarves in the car outside and that he is going to take him to the queen for punishment. I do not want to know what that entails. As I already knew, I am going to spend the night at Lliam

s tonight. I start to get my bags packed. I am really excited to see my fianc
é’
s house. While I am packing, he drives Seamus to his mum so that I don
’
t have to ride in the car with him.
