I take a few minutes to think of what my mum has told me. It all makes sense.

So, we must get married, and she must change? Mum, I do not know if she will want to change into one of us.

I tell her honestly. I mean she did take it well when I told her I was a vampire, but can anybody honestly expect her to willingly change into one?

Lliam, she will. She was not afraid when you told her what you are was she?

I shake my head.

I didn

t think so, she will marry you and she will be guided into biting you by the spirits of our ancestors. She will want your blood. She will crave it. She won

t be able to control herself. And than, my son, she will be your princess. Treat her right and she will do the same for you. Now, I expect you to bring my future daughter-in-law tomorrow for dinner, say

oh, 6:00 P.M. And don

t forget that you cannot mention any of this to her as it will influence her somehow.

I knew she would be excited to meet Victoria, I didn

t think that she would be this excited though. I know, now more than before, that she will invite the family, probably more than I thought because Victoria is going to be my bride, a princess. Oh mum, we had that planned already.

Go see her Lliam, I can tell that you want to, but I have one last thing to tell you.

She pauses for a moment, thinking or maybe waiting to see if I was going to say something else.

You have two months to marry her or it will be to late. You do your part and propose to her, and I will take care of the rest. Don

t be hasty son, now go!

Two months!? That is not enough time. Of course I know that Victoria loves me, and I am sure that she will say yes; so I really don

t know what I am worrying about. I guess it is just the thought that within two months time, probably quicker knowing my mother, I will be married. I think to myself for a couple of minutes. How will I propose? Will I be romantic about it, or serious? Will I do it in private or in front of people? However I do it, I have to do it right that

s for sure. It is to early to pick Victoria up, so I decide to make my way to the jewelry store. I walk in and th first thing I lay eyes on is a small diamond ring. It has blue sapphire hearts around the center of the clear stone. She loves sapphires, and they match her eyes to. I know it is not a traditional wedding ring, but we are not a traditional couple either. I purchase the ring without looking any further. I know it is the one, she will love it. I think I am going to ask her tonight. Yes, that is what I will do. I slide the ring into my pocket and head to buy some lunch for Victoria and I. I am going to surprise her at work.

I stop at the store and grab two chef salads with ranch dressing, before going to Victoria

s shop. Before I walk into her store, I see her looking out of sorts, still beautiful, but maybe just a little stressed.

Hey princess, I brought you some lunch

What

s the matter?

She instantly smiles at me.

Hi Lliam, I am so glad that you came. I have been having a cruddy day to say the least, and I

ve been thinking about you. That

s really the only thing that made me smile today.

She kisses me softly on the lips and we talk about her bad day as we eat our salads.

Some rude customer came in giving her a hard time. He apparently wanted to buy some kind of pipe for five dollars and she kept refusing him. She assumed that he was drunk and asked him to leave. When he refused, well

she tased him. He called the police and was arrested. Thank god. Next she tells me how excited she is that I will be meeting her friends tonight and I realize that I haven

t even met her parents. I plan on proposing tonight, so I guess I better have her invite them to. At least then they will know me for a few minutes before I ask to marry their daughter.

About that, Victoria, I would like for you to invite your mother and father as well. I want to meet them. I will have Seamus pick dinner up for all of us and meet us there.

He wants to meet my parents too? I guess I better call my father and tell him about Lliam first. Lliam tells me he has a few more things to take care of and that he will pick me up at five. I give him a goodbye kiss and he leaves. As soon as he is gone I dial my dad, I don

t really want him to know that I haven

t told my dad about him yet.

My dad picks up on the second ring. I decide I am going to be super sweet and call him daddy, maybe that will soften the blow. I have always been a daddy

s girl and he is pretty protective of me. He never really yells at me, but I hate to disappoint him, I think the look on his face is worse than his yelling.

Hey daddy. How are you? I have someone to tell you about daddy!

I say it like I am super excited rather than nervous, maybe he will feed off of my emotion and be excited to. I doubt it.

Slow down Vicky, you sound like your so keyed up that you could jump out of your skin. Now who is this person that you are so excited about?

He

s very serious. My plan on sounding so excited hasn

t worked as well as I thought. I will keep it up, maybe it will work

at last I hope it works.

I met a man daddy! A wonderful man! His name is Lliam!

I pause for a moment to see if my dad will say anything, and he doesn

t. I tell him about Lliam, I tell him how happy Lliam makes me to. He isn

t getting any more excited.

Daddy, I want you to come meet him.

I say sort of apprehensively.

When?

he asked sounding short with me.

Tonight

around five thirty or six o

clock. Please say you will come daddy.

I say, all but begging him to come.

A few seconds pass, and no response. I assume that he is taking it all in. I mean, I did just lay a lot on him. Here I have been single for almost four years and I call him out of the blue to say I met a guy and I want him to meet him tonight, Finally, he agrees, thank God.

Daddy, I have to go, and tonight, please take it easy on him daddy. I really do love him.

I had to throw in that last part so he know how serious I am.

I hang up the phone and start getting ready to close up shop. It is almost five now, I was on the phone with my dad for what seemed like an eternity. Lliam walks up at exactly five o

clock. I am just sliding my doors closed as he walks in. We walk hand in hand to his car and drive to my house talking quietly about our day. He seems a little nervous.

Its ok babe, don

t worry. My friends and family will love you just as much as I do.

I grab his hand and stroke his thumb with my finger. My touch seems to calm him down, though I can still sense the tension.

We pull up to my drive way; Ellen, Lianna, and my mom are already here waiting for us. I hug them all and we head into my house. Surprisingly, Lliam and Seamus have already set my dining room table and placed dinner on the counter. Steaks, corn, potatoes, dinner rolls, and champagne. I thought champagne was for celebrations and wine for meeting new people, but hey, Mr. Right can do this any way he wants. I snigger to myself.

We all sit in my living room with champagne glasses in our hands. We are talking and everyone seems to really like Lliam. My dad finally walks in, fashionably late. I can instantly tell that he really doesn

t want to be here. I hope he isn

t hard on Lliam. I introduce him to Lliam and we all head to my dining room for dinner.

Lliam is sitting next to me, Ellen is at one end, Lianna at the other, and my parents sit next to each other across from Lliam and I. My parents have been separated for a long time, but when they think something is serious, a stranger would never know they weren

t happily in love. Everyone is asking Lliam a million questions, giving him the fifth degree. I am sure he notices that everyone likes him, but his uneasiness is getting stronger. The worst part is over, I just don

t understand why he is still so nervous.

After dinner, we return to my living room with more champagne. Seamus comes in to join us. Seamus did not attend dinner, I wonder why he is coming in now.

My baby girl met a man. She says that she loves him and sounds like she is sincere about it. I am not to sure though. It has been almost four years since my Victoria has so much has said a man

s name to me, now she claims that she is in love with one. I don

t understand why she didn

t tell me about him before today. I am not mad at her or disappointed, I just wish she had trusted me enough to tell me right away.

At any rate, I am meeting him tonight. I don

t really want to go tonight, I want to have time to think about the situation over before I come face to face with the guy who stole my daughter

s heart. I said I will go though, so I have to start getting ready.

As soon as I am done getting dressed, I head to Vicky

s house. I am trying to be open minded, I just hope he is not a looser. When I get to Victoria

s everyone is already there. I walk in and right away we start eating dinner. I talk to Lliam a lot, he actually seems like a pretty good guy. Great, actually. I couldn

t ask for a better man to steal Vicky

s heart. He has a great personality, a nice car, he lives in Litchburgh so I am assuming his job pays pretty well, and he has his own personal driver. I have never really understood why people need drivers, but to each their own. I like him anyways.

I do notice however, that he is really fidgety. He must be nervous or something. I first noticed it when Vicky introduced us, I

ve been here over an hour now, his nervousness should have left. I bet he is up to something, but what. I will find out before the night is over, I promise myself.

Lliam stands up from my couch, even more nervous now than he has been all evening. He taps his champagne glass rapidly,

I have something to say to everyone.

We all stop talking and give Lliam our undivided attention. What is he doing? What is he going to say that hasn

t been said already?

I am so happy to meet you all, and I want to say to each of you that I love Victoria more than life itself.

He gets down on one knee in front of me and reaches into his pocket. What on earth is he doing? My friends and family are staring at him in shock.

Victoria, darling, I love you with all of my heart. I have never felt this way with another person, and I want to spend my entire life with you by my side. Would you do me the honor of being my wife? Will you marry me Victoria?

Oh my God! He just met my family and friends, and me for that matter. Now, he is proposing to me. Ellen and Lianna both look so excited. Mom and dad are staring at me probably wondering what I am going to say. I day dreamt of our wedding ceremony in the bath last night. I do love him more than anyone else, ever. I never want him to leave me. He is starting at me nervously, waiting for me to answer. I stand up and grab him and pull up to me. We are both standing now. I wrap my hands around his neck, jump up and around his waist, and kiss him quickly.

Oh, Lliam, I love you so much. Yes! Yes, of course I will marry you.
