“What was that?”
He was breathing deep, and it was a complete turn-on. He pulled away from me, looking at my face and then down my body. With his fingers he traced his come all over my body. I stood still, confused and unsure of what I had just done. He traced my breast. His come-covered finger went over my nipple, and I thought my knees were going to give out.

“I don’t know.” I looked up in surprise.
I watched the grin spread slowly over his face. He put his finger in my mouth, and I licked it clean.

He groaned
. “You are amazing. To think, if I would have talked with you sooner, we could have been doing this the whole time.” He turned me toward the water and began spreading the soap all over me. He was whispering in my ear, “So fucking perfect. I have never seen or felt anything so fucking perfect. The need to come inside you is so strong I almost can’t control it. Katie, I need you to get on birth control right away. I know how you feel about being pregnant, and I want to respect that.” He kissed the skin on my neck and then down my shoulder. “Fuck, babe, I am hard all over again.”

His words
set fire that spread throughout my body.  I hated sweet and sappy words, but I could hear raw need in his voice and I thought I could explode on words alone.

His lips crashed on mine
, and his tongue forced its way into my mouth. I could feel his passion all over my body. He kissed me, hard and demanding, and I melted. He lifted me as my knees gave out, and I wrapped my legs around his hips. I felt his penis at my entrance, and I moaned. I wanted to feel him inside me again. My need for him spiraling out of control, I began to wiggle, trying to get him inside me. All my rational thought was gone.

He stopped me and began laughing
. “You are a dangerous girl.” He stepped out of the shower and set me down to grab a towel. He wiped me down quickly and wrapped the towel around his waist, then picked me up, threw me over his shoulder, and walked me to his bed.

I started giggling
. “I can walk. You don’t have to carry me like a sack of potatoes.”

At the mention of food
, he tossed me onto the bed and ran toward the door. “I’ll be right back. Don’t go anywhere.”

I moaned loudly when he left.
I lay there for a second, breathing heavily and then like a splash of cold water, I was slowly coming back to my senses. What was I doing? I didn’t even know this man. I sat up and looked around trying to figure out the best way to leave. I had to get out of here before I did something really stupid. I went in the bathroom and put on my clothes.

Jason came in
to the bedroom and rushed to the bathroom. “What are you doing?” He looked frustrated. I hated that look.

“I need to go
. I lose all control around you. I don’t know what I am even doing here.” I looked away from him and kept putting my shirt on, then my shorts, and he just stood there.

“I need to buy handcuffs
. Every time I leave and come back, you want to flee. I am trying to understand why. I can tell you like me. In fact, I think you probably like me a lot more than you’re willing to admit. It drives me crazy that you could leave after what we just did.”

I was done getting dressed and was now standing there looking away from him.

“I can’t keep you here, so fine, leave.” He stepped out of the doorway. I looked at him, but now he looked away. I stood there, and he picked up a towel and threw it over the tub and left the room.

I stayed in the bathroom for a long time
. My hair had completely drenched my shirt, and I began to shiver not because I was cold but because I felt so alone. My hands were trembling, and my legs felt numb. I bent down to hug my knees and closed my eyes. I kept telling myself, “Be strong. Don’t let him see you weak.” I asked for strength, pictured myself walking downstairs and facing him. I needed to say bye, and I needed to go home.

I stood slowly and looked at myself in the mirror
. I practiced my smile, took a deep breath, and walked out the bathroom door. Then everything seemed to go blurry. The next thing I remember, I was in the kitchen. I took a plate from the cupboard and sliced what looked like lasagna from a casserole dish. I put a piece of garlic bread on my plate and turned around to face Jason. He was sitting at the counter and eating quietly. He didn’t glance up. I stood and began to eat. It was so good. I hadn’t really eaten all day other than breakfast, so I was hungry. I watched my food as I ate and heard myself humming. I tried to stop, but it was so good. Instead I laughed. I looked up at him, and he looked at me with no expression.

“It’s very yummy.” I smiled as I finished my plate and began cleaning the kitchen.

Jason was still very quiet. I could feel his irritation. I needed to leave before disappointing him more, but I didn’t want to leave him like this. I finished cleaning, put the lasagna in the fridge, and turned to say something, anything, to make him happy with me again.

“So what time do we leave?”
What was I saying?

He was quiet
, still sitting at the counter, but no longer looking at me.

“How about if I am ready in
forty minutes?” I shrugged. “If you still want to go out, then I’ll be ready. If not, and you leave without me, then I will figure something else out.” I could do this. It was one of the things I did best—put on a show and wear a pretty face.

There was still no response from
his side of the counter, so I made my way upstairs and began getting ready. I knew I needed to look really good. My plan was to distract him with a sexy appearance. I wanted to look so good that no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t take his eyes off me. I slipped on my Miracle Bra, making my almost C breast look more C plus, then a black dress that showed off my now-tangible breast and made my legs look long. I still had that summer tan, and my legs looked flawless. I went into the bathroom and began blow-drying my hair. I styled it in a loose bun and curled the fallen strands, then curled and pushed my long bangs to the side. I wore large, black, hoop earrings and a black, choker necklace with a silver heart charm hanging from it. I put a little gray eye shadow on and eyeliner in the upper corners. I finished my makeup with mascara and red lipstick. I rubbed some perfume-smelling lotion on my legs and arms. It was subtle, but made me feel pretty. I slid on my black high heels with a bow on the toes and made my way downstairs.

He was at the bottom of the steps, but didn’t look
up and didn’t say anything. He walked to the front door and set the house alarm. I handed him my lipstick and driver’s license.

“Can you hold these for me
? I don’t want to carry a purse.”

He glanced at the content and put it in his pocket.

“We could take my car if you want?” I thought if he was planning on drinking, I could drive.

He said nothing
, just opened the door and closed it behind us. He walked to his Jeep’s passenger side to open the door for me. I knew this was going to be a challenge because of the dress and the high heels. I studied the door, trying to figure out where to grab a hold, and began inching my already short dress up my thighs. I took one shoe off, and that’s when I felt him behind me. His mouth was on the back of my neck. He was kissing me, his breathing was labored, and his hand fell underneath my dress. I gasped at the contact and stayed perfectly still. His hand slipped beneath my lacy panties, and I felt his fingers slip inside me. I knew I was wet. It felt overwhelming, his hand on me, in me. He pulled his fingers out and moved them around the front of me.   He slipped his wet fingers over my swollen clit. He did small little circles and then plunged his fingers back into me. He did this over and over creating a torturous rhythm, and I began leaning into his touch. I put my hands on the Jeep and bent over slightly to give him better access. I was getting close to my release.

He pulled his hand out after I moved and bent over me to whisper in my ear. “You are so wet for me
. I love that. You feel so smooth down here.” He grabbed me between my legs. “I want that.” He was breathing in my ear. It was intoxicating. He reached up and pulled my loose bun out, and my hair came tumbling down my back. “I like your hair down. Leave it like this.”

It was a command
. His fingers back inside me again, making me so horny and needy for him, I felt my mouth open, and I began to mumble.

“I was a dancer…I had the hair…removed.” I could hardly talk
. I felt utterly overpowered by his hands on me, moving in that hypnotizing pattern, and his sex talk.

“You go home with me tonight
, only me.” He didn’t wait for an answer. He removed his fingers quickly and lifted me into the Jeep. Then he walked around to the driver’s side.

I was so angry he
’d done that to me again. I felt like he was playing a game with my body, and my body was losing. I felt defeated. What was I turning into?

I looked out the window
, now enjoying the no-talking thing. He turned on the music and began to sing. This made me want to kick him hard. He was happy when I was frustrated. What an ass. I was better at this game than him. I was born to be quiet and look pretty. It’s actually what I excelled in. So if he wanted a quiet, pretty girl, he had one. I stayed looking out the window and watched the country turn into the city. I practiced my happy face out the window a couple times, trying to make my smile less of a grimace. A headache was forming. I took some deep breaths when he pulled into the sports bar parking lot. He got out and walked around the front to my side and opened the door. He was smiling, really smiling. He was completely happy with himself. I refrained from kicking him when he opened my door.

“Are you ready?” He was looking at me
, still smiling, and I shook my head and smiled back, trying hard not to bite my lips. He reached over and gently put a piece of hair behind my ear. I immediately took that same piece of hair and put it back where it was.

“I want it right here,”
I said, referring to the hair that was clearly in my face, but he just leaned into me and smiled. I could tell he was stifling a laugh.

“I am well aware of how much you want it.”

What an ass. I was pissed. He turned and walked toward the bar, and I followed.

Chapter 9
Strawberry Drink

We walked into the bar. It was loud. There were so many TVs everywhere. To the back left, it looked like there were pool tables. I also saw people playing air hockey, and basketball machines were lined up to the right. Jason pulled me behind him, and I scanned around at the all the people who were casually dressed. I looked like a little rich girl trying to get everyone’s attention with my short, tight, black dress. I hated going out. I was so socially awkward, I wasn’t sure I had ever fit in anywhere.

We came to a table with couples already there
, and Jason helped me up on the bar stool. I looked around as he started to introduce me to everyone at the table. I nodded, knowing as smart as I was, I would never remember their names. He moved his stool closer to mine and sat down. As he got comfortable, he put his hand on my thigh. One touch with his hand, and I was locked into him. My eyes drifted over him, and he flashed his sexy smile at me. The people at the table were talking about sports, I think. I was just smiling and nodding.

I watched the people in the back shoot hoops and darts. I
saw movement closer toward the table and locked eyes with a tall, skinny redhead. She was staring at me like she wanted to rip my head off. I thought that was odd, but maybe she knew me from years ago, before I moved to Brentwood with my family.  I was into dance and always stealing the spotlight from other girls. She was probably one of those girls. Or maybe it was simpler than that, maybe she was mirroring my face. I mentally checked out, thinking about my family in any capacity made me do that. When I gazed back at the table, a red beverage sat in front of me, and the table seemed to be looking at me intently. I smiled and nodded, and they just kept staring. I reached for the glass of thick red liquid and took a big drink, trying to appear busy. I swallowed and began to choke. The alcohol burned as it went down. Yuck. Jason began rubbing my back, and when I looked up again, the conversation had moved elsewhere.

“You taste like strawberries to me
, so I ordered a strawberry drink for you.”

I nervously kept the drink in my hand and would drink when the attention was back on me. My goal was to sit and look pretty
, no talking. I finished my alcoholic drink and felt much better. My body began to lean toward Jason’s. His heat was a magnet. I glanced away again and noticed how many more people had filled the place. I could no longer see the games going on in the back.

My gaze finally fell
back to my table and I noticed a new glass of the red liquid in place of the old glass. I looked at Jason and said, “Thank you.” He leaned over and kissed me. I reached for his face and kissed him back. His soft lips, his tongue, his smell took over all my thoughts, and nobody was there except us. My body buzzed with sexual heat and the only thing I wanted more than air was this man. I wanted to drink him, eat him and breathe him.

Jason
pulled away and cleared his throat. I opened my eyes to a smiling crowd at the table. I began drinking my beverage and smiling, a real smile. My table broke out in laughter, and it snapped me out of my daydream. I looked at the couples, having a great time, laughing and smiling and then I realized the joke was on me.

“What?” I was
the outsider to this group and now I was feeling very uncomfortable.

Jason
was quick to react. He was great at reading me.  He moved his arm around my body and leaned in. “Dave thinks it’s ironic that you’re a hygienist and you like to bite.”

I felt m
y face flush red and my eye turn into saucers, I was so embarrassed.

“It is very funny
. I think it’s Jason’s fault. He brings out an animal in me.” The table again broke out into laughter, and I suddenly felt really dizzy and hot. I needed some fresh air, maybe a splash of water on my face.

Jason saw me attempting to get off the stool and jumped down to help me.
“You OK?” He looked concerned.

“Yes
, I just have to use the bathroom.”

He grabbed my hand. “I’ll walk you.”

As I started to walk, my legs were like Jell-O. The room was spinning; droplets of sweat were running down my face. I put my other arm on his forearm, and we walked to the bathroom. I let go of him as I walked in. I was relieved there were no women inside. I staggered to the sink and looked in the mirror. I saw two of me, then four. My eyes struggling to stay open, I took a towel and soaked it and put it on my forehead. My breathing had increased, and I turned around still hanging on the counter trying to steady my breathing.  My stomach flipped and I lunged toward the bathroom stall, grasping the sides of the toilet seat,
gross,
and vomited. Someone was behind me holding my hair back. When I was done, I was helped up and moved back to the sink.  I washed my hands, trying to balance myself on the counter. The room was moving all around me. A very pretty woman with long blond hair and hazel eyes handed me another wet towel. I used it to wipe my mouth.

“Are you Kat
arina?”

I nodded
, not recognizing her, but at the moment, I didn’t recognize myself in the mirror. “Yes.”

She was
holding my arm to help me from losing my balance. It was like bricks were attached to my lids making it hard to keep my eyes open.

“I will take you to Jason
. You don’t look so good.” She was struggling, I could tell, with all my weight on her now. Someone else walked in before I drifted off. She was on the other side of me helping me walk.

“Shit, how much of the sedative did you put in her drink?”
The girl was talking, thinking I had already dozed off.

“Only a little
, she’ll wake up soon.”

That was all I could remember.

* * * *

My eyes began fluttering open when I was in a car. The backseat was empty other than me
. I was lying on leather seats, my world still spinning. I heard voices in the front seat but couldn’t make out conversation. My body was numb, my voice broken. I couldn’t move. My eyes rolled back in my head, and I fell back to sleep. I woke slightly as we were entering an elevator, a girl on each side. I found my voice, but my legs still couldn’t stand.

“What are you doing?” My voice was slurred
. I tried to move my neck. My head started pounding, and I felt like I was going to be sick. Thoughts began racing in my head. “What do you want from me exactly?”

“You know he’s going to be pissed
, right? He probably won’t forgive this.” A high-pitched voice of one of my captors was talking over me, ignoring me.

“Drastic times call for drastic measures
, and he will forgive me. Our attraction is one of a kind. No other bitch can take my place.” She sneered at me.

I wanted to laugh so hard at the dramatic way she sneered
, but I didn’t, couldn’t. I felt a smile play on my lips.

She kept talking to me
. “He’s using you. You know that, right? He will really only love her, but she died. He said that I was the next best thing to love.” We all stood facing the elevator doors, waiting for them to open. I was attempting to hold myself up by my own legs. “He just uses girls and always comes back to me. He knows all the right things to say. I know he’s not done with me because he still has his membership here. If he was truly done, he would’ve canceled it.”

The elevator doors opened at
floor ten, I thought. I was still in a daze. There were mainly men talking when we walked into the lobby, and then there was silence. The girls still had me draped over them, my legs beginning to hold their own, my heels feeling wobbly on my feet. The blond on my right walked up to the counter and started to tell the man behind it to let us in. He didn’t. First he pointed at me.

Who is that? Bettina, she needs to sign a waiver to go in.”

I was trying to place the name
. I couldn’t remember where I had heard that name, and then it hit me. This was Jason’s last girlfriend, the one who had played games with him to break his control. She was trying to get his attention through me, she
wanted
him angry. Shit. I felt my heart rate increase as adrenaline took over, and I started to yell.

“You crazy bitch
! He said you were an attention seeking twit, but I would have never believed this. What did you think, you take his date and he would finally come running back to you?” I took a step away from her feeling like the world was moving a bit too fast. “You are so pathetic. Really, what a desperate move to get a man that wants nothing to do with you. You’re a pretty girl, Bettina, but Jason has obviously moved on. Get. Over. It.”

She smirked at me
, and I smacked her face so hard my hand stung from it. Quick movement began all around us. I felt someone at my back. I elbowed him.

Nobody touches me!” I yelled loudly, scaring myself. My eyes wide open, I looked around and continued. “Listen, give me a phone, and let me call Jason. He’ll pick me up.” I sounded winded, and my legs were trembling underneath me. I stumbled back over to the elevator. “She drugged my drink. I need to go to the hospital.” I pointed at Bettina, who was crying. What an actress.

The man behind the counter made a phone call. Bettina was grabbed by the arm and taken into a separate room
, and the other girl, the redhead, took off toward a door that said stairs. I stood there looking around the room, pressing the elevator button, unable to comprehend what was happening. The redhead was quickly taken as well and escorted, a little more nicely, to the same room. When I turned around, a man stood in front of me. I made eye contact with him and then reached for the elevator buttons once again. I just held the button down as he stared at me.

“Hello, I am Brad Christenson
, the owner of the club. I need you to come with me.”

I just looked at him
, my finger holding its spot. “No, Mr. Christenson, I will take my chances on the street.”

My heel gave out beneath me
, and I fell to the ground. The elevator door opened, but again I was unable to move. All eyes were on me as I tried to pull myself into the elevator, but I was not successful. He bent down to help me up. I waved him off.

Give me a minute, please.” I tried to sit, feeling the urge to cry and scratch all the eyeballs out of the men standing and staring at me. He was patient, and then his hand reached out. I watched it for a long time, weighing my options. I rose to my feet and took off my heels, my ankles throbbing.

I glanced up at the man before me. He looked professionally dressed
, with a nice black suit and a black shirt underneath, no tie. His blond hair and intense, hazel eyes were pleading with me, his hand still within reach. I reached out and took his hand. He helped me up, and I walked barefoot behind him.

H
e stopped at the front desk and turned to me. “Before we enter, I need you to sign these.”

I looked at the elevator and back at him and bit my bottom lip.
“Bullshit. I won’t sign shit.” I had to smile a little. I just said “shit” twice.

“The papers are for privacy. What you see in the club cannot be
discussed outside the club.” He was so stiff and standoffish, I could tell he was annoyed.

I looked up at him and shook my head no. We had a stare down for a few long moments
. Brad still had a hard face. I decided I would do the same and put my hard face on.

He turned to the man standing behind the counter
. “Call Jason. Let him know what’s going on.” He eyed me for a minute. “Tell him she will be with me.”

I watched as blond
-haired Brad turned away from me and walked toward a door on the right wall. He was a big guy, Jason’s size, maybe even taller. The bulky muscles were the same, although Brad had a much rougher appearance. I leaned against the counter and evaluated my best way to escape. It was definitely the elevators, but there was little hope of me walking that far without help. I looked back to Brad. He had opened the door, and he was making his way back to me. He quickly steadied me with his hand, now resting at the back of my upper arm. He walked through the open door, and I felt like a troubled child being escorted to her room. I shook my arm free of him.

“I am fine
. Let me go.” I was slowly starting to recover.

I stood my ground as much as possible
, making it hard to walk normally. Brad sighed with frustration or irritation. Either way he wasn’t going to rescue me, I knew that for sure. The room was so dark, it was almost black, and it took moments for my eyes to adjust. Brad was impatient, his arms reached out to grab mine again causing me to stumbling again.  He let out another sigh before he bent over and swept me under his arm. The shock of his swift movements had me dazed. In twenty two years of life I had never been carried like this. I struggled to break free. His arm was like a steel cage around me and kicking and screaming didn’t seem to help because nobody stopped him. He carried me to another door and set me down to reach in his pocket for a key. His hand slid up my back and firmly gripped the nape of my neck, a move my father used when I was a child, treating me like a robot with an on switch.  My head fell forward and my body froze.  I tried to focus on my breathing, counting my breaths, remaining perfectly still. The door finally opened and he moved us inside. He let go of me, then closed and locked the door behind him in one swift move. When I heard the door lock, my adrenaline took over, my legs moving on their own to the other side of the room to get as far away from him as possible.  I hated the sound of a door locking, especially when my hands weren’t doing it. He could sense my distress. I stood behind a couch, still leaning, trying to gauge my escape. I lifted my dress off my thighs, preparing to run. My heart was beating so fast, my hands shook, and my breathing was erratic.  He reminded me of my father and, I knew from experience what happened after the door was locked.  His eyes roamed over me, stopping at mine and I could see dark places inside him.  My body instinctively went numb in response.
