When he’d left his ex-wife naked in their bed with another man, Mike never dreamed of looking for a second chance at love. Theirs hadn’t ever been a perfect marriage, but he’d done his damnedest to try and make the woman happy. He just never seemed to be able to meet her expectations.

Taryn though…he was convinced she’d fallen into his lap at the perfect time. She made him whole again. She wiped away the sour memories haunting him—the ones that made him feel like a failure. Then, she chased away the demons threatening to pull him under at night. She was his angel.

Pulling back from her soft lips, he smiled into the pale green eyes staring back at him. They were filled with honest love. He kissed her forehead before resting his own against it. Face-to-face, nose-to-nose, he spoke again, “I didn’t mean to rush this, rush you, but I feel it—it’s right. I want you, Taryn. I need you.”

“I meant it when I said yes, Michael.”

Leaning toward her ear, he whispered, “That’s not exactly what you said, sugar.” Seeing her bite her lip in response made his dick jump again. “Yep…you’re perfect, Taryn. Absolutely perfect.”

Finding Perfect
series

Gabriella James learned the hard way kids could be mean. First in middle school, then high school. That’s why she sought refuge in her family's bookstore. Books and words didn’t hurt her there. They were a source of comfort, as was the quiet, and the elderly people she could actually trust.

Now grown, she was the third generation to call the bookstore her own. However, Gabby had secrets no one in her family knew about.
They weren’t anything that would hurt them, so she wanted to keep it that way. It was her privacy
she guarded with an iron fist. Even if it meant her family couldn’t know. They had no idea how hard she worked, how hard she poured her soul into their world. It was because of the kids in her past that she didn’t want to back in her life.

Only one person knew
, but now he was on his way. Into her town, her privacy, her world, and Gabby had a sinking feeling her life was about to change forever.
