“Her name is Delta?”

“I didn’t know, either.” He nuzzled her temple.

“You didn’t know she’d be there?”

He looked at her, hazel eyes piercing. “Of course not. Strother must have called for the other guys to back them up. They were off fetching your sister, and she was caught in the moment.”

She sagged against him, relief flooding. Strother had treated her like an outsider from the start, and she’d fought to earn Ace’s loyalty. If the Hell’s Sons were going to treat her sister with the same consideration, she’d get Delta out of here.

Jamison seemed to read her mind. “We can take off after the funerals. Get on my bike and go.”

She searched his gaze. “You don’t want to leave your club.”

“No, but I will. For you, I will.” Just as Stone would have given his life for her.

She pressed her lips to Jamison’s. His kiss was seeking, tentative. He still wasn’t convinced of her love for him, but she’d do her best to show him.

When she pulled away, she smoothed her thumb over his hard lips. “I won’t let you leave your club, Jamie. It’s your life.”

“But you wanted out of the Life. It’s why you faked your death.”

“Yes,” she said slowly. “But I couldn’t stay away. When I saw you in The Gearhead, I knew I was back. In a big way.”

Something slid behind his eyes—hope. “How big?”

She held out her forearm. “Do I need to add your name to this tattoo?”

A tender smile played around the corner of his mouth. He shook his head lightly. “What if I give you a ring? Vows?”

She stopped breathing. Since escaping her ramshackle marriage to Stone, she’d never considered binding herself to another person.

She stared into Jamison’s eyes, her heart kicking into a new rhythm she suspected was his. Nodding, she whispered, “Yes.”

He slammed his mouth over hers, the flavor of his passion intoxicating. He drove his tongue between her lips, and they shared a moan.

Dark need whipped in her core, a wild storm only he could calm. He scooped up her breasts, kneading them in his big hands. Leaning into him, she scuffed her fingers over his beard, loving the rasp, needing the chafe on her skin.

He strummed her nipples with his thumbs, working her into a frenzy with his touch and kiss.

She twisted in his hold and threw a leg over his lap to straddle him. His bulge met her pussy, and they began to rock.

“I’m going to bury my cock so deep into you, you’ll never forget who you belong to.”

Shuddering, she pressed her pussy into his erection. “Take me, Jamie.”

“Oh, I will.” He shot her a toe-curling grin. “Right here.”

He ripped her shirt overhead, exposing only her lacy bra. With a growl, he captured her nipple, worrying it through the fabric. Heat snaked through her body, and she curled her fingers into the hair on his nape, pulling him to her.

While his hands roved all over her breasts, she tore off his cut and T-shirt beneath. When she reached between their bodies and popped the button of his fly, their gazes locked.

His chest rose and fell as if he battled some inner dragon. Suddenly he tossed her over the arm of the sofa. In seconds he’d divested her of jeans and panties.

He swatted her ass.

“Ow!” She reared up, heart pounding and her pussy immediately slick.

“That’s for not staying put with Sarah and O’Dovey. How did you get the car keys?”

“I—I picked his pocket.”

Jamison caressed the undercurve of her ass and then spanked her hard. The sting echoed through her body. She clutched the sofa arm, dizzy for more.

“That is for breaking away from Ace and getting back into that goddamn warehouse after I sent you away. How did you get free?”

“I elbowed him in the junk.”

He fell still, and then she felt the vibration of his laughter. He ran two fingers down her ass, over her pucker, right to her soaking center. She wiggled to draw him in, but he resisted.

When he removed his hand, she mewled her discontent. The next swat took her off-guard, and she cried out. “What was that for?”

“For scaring the hell out of me. For letting me think for a second that Stone…”

She craned to look at him over her shoulder. “Jamie.”

His features shivered, a muscle ticking in his jaw. He leaned forward and dropped his forehead to her shoulder. “It killed me when you stayed with him before, and thinking you might want that again—”

She grabbed his wrist, thumb over a blood orange wildflower swaying in the sprinkling of hair on his arm. “I’m with you, whatever you do and wherever you go.”

“You’ll follow me into more of this club bullshit? Because Strother isn’t going to be happy until Blacky is dead.”

“I know. I’m with you, Jamie.” She jerked his hand against her ass, creating a light slapping sound.

He shook with laughter and gave her a proper spanking—five blows that warmed her ass.

With hurried movements, he stripped. From the corner of her eye, his cock was full and thick in his fist as he rolled a condom in place. Her folds seeped fresh arousal, which he quickly found with two fingers. He spread the cream over her pussy up and around her clit.

Heat spread, and her pussy clenched in need. When he sank his fingers into her, she was primed for a good, hard fucking. Instead he held his fingers in place, letting her pulsate around him.

“Hell, you’re so fucking tight.”

“Sink into me, Jamie. I need you.”

He withdrew his fingers and smoothed her juices over her hard bud again. A fever took hold of her. She rocked, trying to take all she wanted, but he wouldn’t be rushed.

Reaching back, she gripped his hip and tried to force him, but he resisted, blanketing her back with his sculpted chest, his breath warm on her ear.

“You’ve never said the words, Ever.” His voice revealed his torment, and her heart leaped.

Over her shoulder, she met his gaze. The sparks in his eyes were gold and green fire.

“I love you.”

In one hard thrust, he filled her. His cock split her needy tissues, his growl a love song of his own. “Hell.”

Pushing back, she took every inch. He spread her cheeks to sink another fraction deeper. “No one is touching what is mine ever again. You hear me?”

“Yesss.”

He pistoned his hips, giving her exactly what she wanted even if he hadn’t given her the love words in return. As he shoved her over the sofa arm again and again, pounding hard and deep, her heart opened, and she let him in all the way.

He twisted her hair in his fist and jerked her head back for a long, tongue-dueling kiss. His flavors sent her out of control. When the first throbs of release stole her mind, he anchored her with his gritty words.

“I love you.”

Chapter Sixteen

When Ever entered the club, Delta walked right into her arms. Jamison watched Ever’s face closely, drinking in her surprise as if it belonged to him. After the time they’d shared, everything that had to do with her was his business.

Her eyes fluttered closed, and tears flowed.

“Did you know you had a sister?” Ever asked in a broken way.

Delta shook her head, the waves of her hair mixing with Ever’s. If not for their hair and the small spattering of freckles on Delta’s nose, they might be twins. Their similarities had everyone in the club whispering.

“I didn’t know until they showed me a picture. It’s undeniable we share a mother.”

Ever released her sister and spent long minutes looking at her. The club was silent—not a clink of a beer bottle could be heard. Finally Ever took her sister’s hand and led her to a table in the corner.

Rocket turned on the jukebox, and Led Zeppelin filled the quiet.

Ace shoved an envelope under Jamison’s nose.

He inwardly cringed. The last thing he wanted was more intel. “What’s this?”

“The guy who called the hit on Ever’s mom.”

He glanced up to see his girl smiling and Delta laughing. Jamison pulled the sheet of paper from the envelope and unfolded it. The copy of the death certificate bore the name Hanan Peerson.

Jamison looked up. “Ever’s father?”

“Yep.”

“But he was dead before the hit went out on her mother.”

Ace folded his arms and leaned against the bar. Copilot collapsed at his feet. “There was a clause for her to be killed upon his death.”

“Are you telling me this is all Ever’s father?”

Ace nodded.

“But why? Where did you get this information?” He waved the death certificate of a man who had destroyed his own family. And for what reason?

“It seems Bobbi Peerson got knocked up to a Raiders brother.” He raised his jaw toward Delta. “They took the child from her, gave it to a couple in another chapter. They raised her.”

“Baptized in dirty water,” Jamison said quietly, staring at the girl who was as much sunshine as her sister.

“Delta’s adoptive father had a file, which our guys confiscated when they stormed the club looking for Delta. Actually, Drake got the file. He was very…persuasive, I hear.”

Jamison cocked a brow. Drake sat near the jukebox, staring without pause at Delta. Obviously he was as smitten as Jamison had been that night at The Gearhead. Peerson girls did that to men.

“In this file, it was clear that Hanan took out a hit on his wife?”

“To take place after his death, yes. It was a jealousy thing. He didn’t want his wife to fall into the hands of the man she’d betrayed him with.”

“God, what a fucked-up way to live.” If Jamison couldn’t have Ever, would he be able to give her to Stone and walk away?

Yes, just as Stone had given her up.

Jamison ran his knuckles over his jaw. “Good information. Looks like Bobbi Peerson has been avenged.”

“Yeah, and I think Strother and his old lady are mellow for the time being. We did something at that warehouse.”

“Yeah, but Blacky can’t be allowed to walk. Not only because of the drugs, but he’s threatened Ever and O’Dovey too. And he will surely go after Sarah and Cassidy again. I heard O’Dovey say they located Cassidy with that aunt.”

“Yeah, I heard that too. As for Blacky, first we have to mourn, bro. Two of our brothers have fallen.”

Jamison pushed out a heavy sigh through his nose. Without Jimmy, Robbie, and Blake, their club felt smaller. Yet the guys left standing were brought closer by the loss.

He shot a look at their prez. “Strother had better stay mellow because we can’t have any more losses.” At some point Jamison would go after Blacky himself. He’d also planned to make Strother step down, but now was not the time. He’d allow all of them to settle before raising the vote.

Ace shifted his weight, and Copilot laid his head on his master’s boot. “I’m with you, brother.”

Jamison inclined his head. “Are you?”

“On all of it. You were right about Ever. I’ll watch her back to the ends of the earth.”

Grin spreading over his face, Jamison gripped his brother’s hand and yanked him into a hug. Copilot groaned at having been jostled, and they laughed.

“It’s your time soon, bro.”

Confusion etched between Ace’s brows. “To what?”

“To find that special someone.”

Ace threw back his head and loosed a laugh that made everyone look up. Ever smiled in response, and Delta’s lips fell open. “The only thing special I’ll get is a good blow job.”

Jamison shrugged. “Look around. Plenty of sweet butts here tonight.”

“You’re right. I think I’ll use my dog to lure a few in. C’mon, Copilot.”

Smiling, Jamison watched him circulate into the group. He caught Ever waving him over.

As he milled through the brothers, sweet butts, and old ladies, he spoke to brothers, kissed their cheeks, clutched hands. O’Dovey apologized for letting Ever out of his sight, and Sarah nodded. Feeling light, Jamison embraced them both.

When he reached Ever, she extended a hand to him. He captured it and pressed a kiss to her soft knuckles, instantly aroused by her sandalwood and vanilla scents.

“This is Jamison. Jamie, this is Delta. My sister.”

“No one needs a blood test to prove that.” He took Delta’s hand and kissed it too. He turned a chair backward and straddled it. A second later Drake was there, positioning himself at the table for four.

Jamison suppressed a grin. He didn’t think it would be long before the brother staked his claim on Delta. Jamison threw a look at her ring finger—bare. At least some irate husband wouldn’t be storming the club looking for her. Yet, what other baggage would she bring?

He’d have to get Ace to fire up the computer.

A sweet butt rotated through the club, getting drink orders. Since Ace had gone off to find a little fun, Tommy was pouring whiskey with a liberal hand. Jamison raised a finger at the man, and he nodded.

“I’ll take a tequila,” Ever said.

“Um…just some soda for me.” Delta’s choice of drink was a flag to Jamison. She was probably a recovering alcoholic, or knew enough about herself to keep from drinking and making a fool of herself in front of the sister she’d just found.

Drake’s face registered all Jamison had just seen too. He passed up the offer of a drink and instead watched Delta. He’d certainly seen firsthand how alcohol could wreak havoc.

He extended his leg and rubbed his thigh, which was really a stump. He was a war vet, and after seeing the atrocities of Afghanistan, he’d come home to become a full-time alcoholic. He hadn’t lost his leg in the war—he’d lost it drunk driving.

Delta’s eyes lit up as they looked at each other.

Ever asked questions then, about her roots and how Delta had gotten to the family who had raised her. They discussed the other chapter of the Dark Raiders and exchanged stories from their childhoods. When Delta yawned, Ever took her to one of the guest rooms and situated her there.

Jamison intercepted her before she returned to the MC and pulled her into his bedroom.

“Light the candle, Jamie.” Her eyes glowed, bringing to mind hot wax massage sessions.

“Good idea.” He waggled his brows, but she didn’t laugh.

Sobering, he guided her to sit on the bed. Then he sank to his knees before her. “What’s wrong?”

“I was just worried.”

“About?”

She remained silent.
