“Greg!” Hailey cried, “Greg, please,” she moaned as he simply starting making out with her, trying to control his raging lust.

“No! No!” he whispered sharply.

Hailey grabbed his cock and lifted her hips to take him in her body again. Greg pulled away, moving his cock higher, away from her tempting pussy.

Hailey groaned and pushed at his shoulders, making him lie flat on his back on the bed as she kneeled over his thighs. Greg grabbed her waist, breathless, his face hard and dark with undeniable ecstasy.

“No! I don’t have a condom. No, Hailey,” he whispered lovingly, pulling her face down to kiss her, and Hailey’s heart clenched painfully.

She knew he hadn’t had sex in years, and he still cared enough to stop in the midst of it. Her heart soared, and for the first time in her life, she didn’t care that she could be risking pregnancy. She slid lower, keeping eye contact with the man she adored beyond her wildest imaginings.

Greg’s breath grew harsher as he guessed what she was going to do. She stroked her lower lip over the wet head of his cock, and her eyes were blazing brown, hungry and lustful. He memorized the sight of her gorgeous face and the expression of longing in her eyes.

His eyes closed as her lips locked over the head of his cock. He groaned a deep throaty sound, and stroked the sides of her head gently, holding her hair off her face and relishing the tightly wrapped lips around his cock.

“Hailey! Jesus! Baby,” he whispered, his balls tightening in need, his cock going mad with desire. Hailey didn’t hear anything. She stroked his balls lightly, holding onto the ball sack and gently tugging downward, sliding her flattened tongue against his shaft.

Her pussy was clenching and unclenching, and she felt like she would cum again any instant, without him even penetrating her pussy or touching the swollen clit. Greg tensed as she began moving her head back and forth, slowly, gently taking his cock halfway inside her mouth. Tenderly, she let his cock slide deep inside, until he felt the head of his bulbous cock hit the very back of her throat.

He groaned, and grabbed her hair tighter, getting goose bumps on his arms as he tensed for orgasm. He didn’t want to cum, something was holding him back, and some weird sense of…he didn’t even want to think.

He refused to think of anyone besides the gorgeous woman he had begun to care for so much.

Suddenly, Hailey abandoned his cock and straddled him. He clenched his jaw tightly, denying his dick the release it craved. Her pussy lips hit the very base of his shaft, suckling at it. It was buried in her enveloping, wet warmth.

“No, Hailey. No sweetheart,” he moaned, clenching his eyes shut, grabbing her waist down so she couldn’t ride him. Hailey bent over and kissed his eyes, circling her hips against his navel, feeling the streaks of orgasm rip through her insides.

“I want you, Greg. I want you so bad. Please, don’t deny me,” she moaned and Greg’s eyes opened at the pained tone in her statement. He released her hips instantly and Hailey sat up, her hands placed on his chest, her head fallen back as she began to ride him.

Greg had never before seen such a beautiful sight. Her large, full breasts swayed and jerked, and she rode him fast, taking his cock deep. She slid her hips back and forth alongside him, moving up and down, and Greg could feel the head of his cock grinding against her pussy walls.

Hailey whimpered each time his cock hit her sweet g-spot and she came with a scream, writhing and shaking above Greg’s body. Greg saw her spasm as she came above him, and he finally let his cock have what it was hungry for. He spurted his load deep into her core, heavily, making him shake and jerk.

Hailey’s pussy was tightening around his cock, sucking at it, and she seemed to drain every last drop of his cum into her body. His bitterness, his bleakness, his guilt, all seemed to evaporate within moments and he was consumed, wanting the moment to never end.

Hailey collapsed on top of Greg’s chest, and he grabbed her back. They were both sweaty and breathless, and lay there for what seemed like an eternity.

Greg’s cock was still semi-hard, refusing to soften in the hot confines of her pussy. She kept his cock trapped in her exhausted insides and occasionally tensed her muscles to tease him.

Greg could feel her pussy tightening around his cock and he pulled her down to his side, his body still intimately joined to hers.

When Hailey opened her eyes, they were full of an emotion he had forgotten existed in the world. She parted her lips as if to say something but then stopped, bending her head and pressing closer to his bare chest.

Greg slid out of her and Hailey moaned at the loss. “I never want to let you go,” she whispered and Greg’s arms instinctively tightened around her, holding her close.

“I don’t want to go,” he whispered and he meant it, but a sudden burst of doubt reentered his soul. He saw Deb in his mind and clenched his eyes shut, trying to blot out the memory of her. She was gone, but her memory refused to leave him alone.

Deb’s mother’s words returned to haunt him and he tensed in Hailey’s embrace.

He knew she would be hurt and he didn’t have the heart or the courage to hurt sweet, wonderful Hailey. But he was so confused, he was suddenly tense and breathless, and he wanted to escape. He wanted to run away from all the dread and confusion messing with his mind, and he was terrified.

Slowly entangling himself from Hailey’s embrace, he pulled away, avoiding the shocked expression on Hailey’s face.

“Greg?” she whispered holding his hand tightly but he tugged at it, his face twisted in pain. Hailey saw the look perfectly and she knew, she knew this was it. He was going to leave her.

Pride and pain crossed her face, but she checked herself instantly. Greg saw her dark-skinned hand slide out of his, but at the moment he didn’t care, he just wanted to escape.

He grabbed his clothes off the floor, and swiftly slid into them, avoiding Hailey’s eyes, turning his back to her.

Hailey looked away from the tall, injured man who ruled her heart, and clenched her jaw tightly together. She refused to let the tears spill from her eyes. She couldn’t let him see her. She didn’t want him to. She wanted to hide, cover her face and bawl for being an idiot, for being so naïve.

Greg stopped at the bedroom door, tense, his neck aching with stress. He turned to glance at Hailey, and saw her staring at the wall to the left, her face harsh, unlike anything he had ever seen on her gorgeous face.

“I...” he began, but he didn’t trust himself to say anything.

He wanted to run, and he wanted to escape. Something seemed so wrong in the situation he was in. He left without a second glance at her and Hailey’s tears spilled down her cheeks. However, she refused to make a sound until she heard the front door close behind him.

Then the tears began full force and her sobs were wrenched from her chest, escaping painfully through her lips. She pushed her face onto the pillow, trying to suppress her sounds. Her shoulders shook, and she let her tears flow. Her heart was damaged irreparably, and she knew nothing Greg ever did was ever gong to fix this.

She was broken, her insides shattered into a million pieces. She cried until she fell into a deep, exhausted sleep.

Chapter Fourteen

The next day, Hailey awoke to swollen eyes and a splitting headache. She refused to move, and pulled a pillow beneath her to hug tightly. She thought she would be bawling again, but she didn’t feel the tears coming. She felt numb, and dead.

Greg, with his beautiful smile and silly jokes, crossed her mind several times, but she didn’t feel anything. It was as if he had been wrenched from her chest and held no place in her heart anymore.

She thought it might be her survival instinct kicking in. If she still loved him the same as she did before he abandoned her, she would surely die of the ache.

She stared out the window, and no worldly necessities like food or water interfered with her plight. Her naked body was sprawled on the sheets, and she lay motionless.

The sound of the phone ringing relentlessly finally disturbed her meditative state. She urged herself to move, but couldn’t bear to shatter her composure. What if it made her ache, what if she would shatter physically just like she was shattered emotionally?

Morning turned to night, but she had no sense of the passage of time anymore. She noticed it had gotten dark after a while, but still, she stayed unmoving.

The night was filled with confusing, fast paced dreams where she had to run from something, but was too exhausted to move fast enough. Occasionally, she searched for water in her dreams, and sometimes the light, and when she finally awoke, she was breathless with the exertion.

“I should have gotten a puppy,” she thought the next morning. Thoughts and plans wafted through her dehydrated mind, and she sat up. After a moment, she realized that she had finally moved after endless hours. Her body urged her to fall back into bed, but something inside her snapped.

Twenty-four hours were enough to wallow in the loss of the man she had assumed had loved her. Greg didn’t love her, and she was past the point of making excuses for him. At some point, he had to realize that he had to move on and when he did, Hailey promised herself she wouldn’t be there.

She was done. She didn’t trust him, or anyone else, for that matter. He had ruined her. If someone as wholesome and sweet as Greg could hurt her so much, she feared what another man could do.

She had been scorned by a man who had been broken. In turn, he had broken her. When his family died, a part of him was gone forever, and Hailey refused to waste another moment of her life.

She walked naked to the kitchen and picked a bottle of water from the counter. Determined to get out of her misery, she stomped to her bedroom and pulled out the small suitcase out of her closet. She was in a hurry. She needed to get out of the place where Greg had laughed and joked with her, and had later made love to her.

Hailey’s breath shook as the unwelcome thought crossed her mind. Her face twisted in agony, but she was too strong and stubborn to let this overtake her. She grabbed several hangers of clothes off the rack and threw them in her suitcase, and then several boxes of shoes to join the unruly pile.

Her undergarments, her toiletries, her cosmetics, soon followed suit. Pulling on a green dress that wasn’t even ironed, she stepped outside.

She hadn’t washed her face in two days, let alone showered, but she never looked like a disheveled mess, her mother always said. She pulled her hair high up on her head in scruffy bun, and slipped on brown aviators.

Climbing into a taxi, she was on her way to the one place she knew she would find peace.

“Misty Heights,” she said to the driver, but her voice came out husky and unrecognizable. These were the first words she had spoken in a day.

Chapter Fifteen

Hailey saw her brother playing on the lawn with the family dog, Koop. He squinted in the sun as the taxi drove into the curved driveway, and a smile spread across his face.

He ran towards her and Hailey slipped out of the cab dejectedly. The sight of her seventeen-year-old brother’s face, however, made her smile timidly.

“Hey Isaiah,” she said and hugged him tightly.

“You’ve shrunk, sis,” he said in her ear, and Hailey chuckled. The sound of her laugh had a rusty quality to it, as if it hadn’t been used in years.

“Sure I’ve shrunk. How did you feel this morning when you woke up a foot taller?” she said.

“Aah!” he said with a cheeky smile as he took her suitcase. “I felt awesome,” he replied.

The large doors to her father’s house opened and the siblings stepped inside. “Mom! Hailey’s here!” Isaiah called in his husky, booming voice. Hailey winced.

Hailey walked straight towards the room that had been her bedroom before she moved away for college. Hailey’s body relaxed for the first time in days, and a stiff ache spiraled across her shoulders and neck. She saw her mother step out of the dining room, and Hailey slipped off her glasses.

“Hailey sweetheart!” her mother, Mary, called. Instantly, her smile faded as she surveyed her daughter’s unwashed and grimy hair. “Hailey?” she said again, nearing her and touching her arm gently.

“Yeah, she came unannounced. Wonder where the manners are these days,” Isaiah said and slipped away to her bedroom with Hailey’s suitcase.

Hailey’s eyes were glued to her mother’s, and like always her mother knew everything. Hailey threw her arms around her mother’s neck, and her shoulders shook with unshed tears, but she wouldn’t let them spill. She knew that once they started, they would be unable to stop.

“Where’s Dad?” she asked instead as she pulled away. Hailey’s relationship with her father had always been turbulent, and he was the reason she refused to cry in this house. He had always seemed to think that Hailey was weak and timid, and she refused to do anything to reinforce his belief.

“He’s out back,” Mary said, and slid her hand over her daughters face. “Come,” she said and took Hailey’s hand, dragging her tall lean frame along the corridor to her room. “Get out, Isaiah,” Mary said as she saw him sprawled on her daughter’s bed.
