Gudama looked at him silent with a stone look.

“Is everything ok? She heard us earlier didn’t she,” said Andy, sensing his thoughts, “Layla knows everything.”

“It doesn’t matter. What’s important is getting our job done by any means necessary. I don’t care if I have to personally overthrow the government myself. I will enjoy the sweet smell of success,” Gudama said bluntly.

“Gudama, you know that is forbidden.”

“I don’t care! This is my fight, not yours or anyone else’s!” he shouted with a clenched fist.

“Very well,” Andy said taking a breath, “as you wish. Understand however, that your actions will result in serious consequences that I’m afraid even I can’t prevent. Additionally, please know that I cannot continue with your personal quest. Our agreement was for earth’s mutual benefit. What you do on your own is your decision.”

Gudama’s eyebrows slanted, “I know, just provide me assistance and you’ve got your deal.”

“It is not I who you owe Gudama, it is your promise, remember? There are others who need you. The commitment you made to them.”

“And in doing so, I believe you have made such a promise yourself, to me,” Gudama said standing face to face with the much taller Andaglios.

“That indeed I did,” he replied.

“Then you assure me that no matter what happens, no matter what reactions we generate, no matter what I do, you will be there, you will support me, and guarantee your trust in my cause.”

The tall blue man read his eyes and slowly took a deep breath, “Yes my friend I will…I will.”

Gudama folded his hands in respect to Andaglios.

“Thank you…and I’m sorry,” he said bowing his head apologizing for his aggressive behavior.

Andy placed a hand on his shoulder in forgiveness.

Both of them turned their necks towards the window, staring at the earth where their destinies await.

Reflections

Leaning on the glass, Gudama pondered his past and how to avoid making the same mistakes on earth. He noticed Layla walking in.

“How’d you sleep?” he asked.

“Ok,” she said rubbing her eye while yawning, “How about you?”

“Ok, just thinking about everything.”
“Oh, thinking about what?” she asked scratching her leg.

“Just about our next move and how earth will react and everything else, I guess you could say I’m anxious.”

“Can’t wait to get outta here huh?” said Layla.

Gudama darted his eyes out the window in silence.

Layla came next to him to see her home planet.

“Beautiful isn’t it? I’d hate to see anything bad happen to it,” she said turning to him.

“Nothing will, I can assure you.”

“Good, because if anything did, I would fight with all my might till death against anybody to save it,” Layla said looking into his eyes.

Gudama studied her, returning her gaze.

“Earth needs more like you.”

“Oh they’re plenty more like me, millions, ready to fight for their precious land.”

“Heh, we’ll see,” Gudama said with a smirk.

He walked away and spoke to the ship in another language asking if preparations were ready. Andaglios appeared and Gudama said a farewell in another language before opening a portal back to earth.

“Ladies first,” he gestured to Layla.

“Lead the way. After all, you are here to save us.”

Gudama tilted his head and walked towards the portal, “You ready?” he asked her.

“Yea, are you?” she replied challengingly.

Gudama smiled and walked through the portal. Layla started following, but stopped just before entering to look at Andaglios.

“You have nothing to fear, we are on your side,” he said telepathically giving a kind smile.

Layla studied his eyes and then walked through the gateway.

Instantly, they arrived at the hills by the lighthouse they were at before thanks to Andy’s teleportation portal. Gudama started walking towards the lighthouse deep in thought.

“Where are we going?” asked Layla.

“I just want to check on Luke before we depart with our plan.”

“Umm ah, maybe we shouldn’t bother him, we should focus on our plan,” Layla said nervously scratching the back of her head.

“What? What are you talking about, it’ll just take a minute,” Gudama said stopping to turn around, “Why did you say that?” he asked face to face with her.

“I just thought we shouldn’t waste any time, I guess I’m just over anxious,” she replied.

Studying her face, Gudama grew suspicious.

“You’re hiding something. What were you doing last night?”

“Umm…sleeping,” she hesitantly answered.

“Oh really, no secret activities that I should be aware of,” he asked curiously?

“What, no, no, we’re in this together.”

“Oh, is that so? Very well, then we’ll check up on Luke, and depart after that.”

“Sure, as you wish,” she said backing off raising her hand.

Oh my God, what have I done, she thought?

Suspicious, Gudama walked a couple of steps ahead of Layla, occasionally checking back at her as though she were up to something. The distance grew as they reached the sand and Layla’s face became more revealing as she sniffled a bit with her concerned look. Gudama had a bad feeling and started running. On his way he noticed bullet holes on the walls of the laundry building and other damage done to the lighthouse. Gudama looked up to the balcony and with his super sharp eyesight, noticed that the telescope had been confiscated.

“Luke,” he uttered to himself, “Luke!” he exclaimed while sprinting towards the lighthouse.

“Oh no,” Layla said as she too noticed the carnage.

“Luke, Luke! Lu-” Gudama was caught off by the sight of the dead body of his dog. He slowly walked towards the lifeless carcass with piercing eyes and stern lips.

Layla ran to catch up, “Gudama, something has gone wrong. I can explain,” she said arriving.

Slowly Gudama turned to her. A vicious look wiped his face causing Layla to swallow saliva.

“Explain this,” he said stepping aside revealing the dog.

Layla gasped coving her mouth.

“What have you done?” said Gudama.

He ran inside the lighthouse while Layla fell on her knees in front of the canine’s body.

“Snuggy...I’m so sorry,” she said stroking his head.

“Luke!” Gudama shouted barging inside. He leaped up the stairs calling for him. Broken pots, kitchenware, and furniture stained the floors. Further up, Gudama noticed something else, blood. It led up to the highest floor which Gudama traced, but found no Luke. Angry, Gudama hastily searched, but only ended up downstairs reuniting with Layla.

“Where’s Luke!” he screamed like an animal scaring the wind out of Layla’s lungs.

“I don’t know,” she murmured.

With raised fists, Gudama shouted at her, “What the hell happened? Answer me!”

“I contacted a friend ok!” Layla admitted.

“You did what, why?”

“They helped me sneak in that night I met you. I thought they were worried and might call the police so I tried to send a text letting them know I was fine. I didn’t think they would send military!”

“Argh! Lies, all lies!” Gudama frantically ran up the stairs again to recheck for Luke.

Layla’s head fell down as she pondered her actions. She glanced outside a window and saw red on the grass. Gasping, she went out to investigate. The blood trailed behind the lighthouse to the garden.

“Gudama!” shouted Layla.

Hearing her call, Gudama stopped and headed to her. His mouth fell at the sight his retina revealed to his brain, “Luke,” he said walking over.

Bullet holes filled Luke’s body as well as the remnants of battery. His face was unrecognizable from the attack.

“Get me a towel!” yelled Gudama.

Without skipping a beat, Layla fetched a towel with a water bottle. Gudama wiped Luke’s face, cleaning the blood. Tears burst from Layla’s face, “Gudama, I’m so sorry,” she said sniffling. She came to comfort him, but Gudama shoved her away, knocking her down.

“I’m sorry Luke. I’m so sorry,” he said shedding tears placing his hand on Luke’s lifeless face, “You were right, you were right all along. I should’ve listen to you, but was blind, blind by my own foolishness. Forgive me Luke…please.”

Rising up, Gudama glared at the sky, the sun’s rays illuminating its brilliance as Layla looked up.

“I now exercise a new plan, the only plan, the one that even earth primitives will understand.”

“Why are you talking like that? Violence is not what you do, this goes against everything that you’ve preached, in your books, your speeches, everything!” she pleaded getting up.

Gudama stood in silence as his blood boiled.

Layla shook her head in disbelief, “You’re one of us, don’t do this. I know that’s not you. Deep down beats the heart of a good hearted human being.”

“Hush, you know nothing of me! I came here to liberate your kind. You came to me offering help and I believed you, trusted you, thinking you were sincere, but now I see you’re no different. You’re just like every earth woman on this planet who only seeks money, sex, and liquor. I came here selflessly to help you. You came to me for personal gain and fulfillment of your wretched vile fantasies!”

“No that’s not true I really wanted to help you!”

Gudama walked away with big strides. Layla tried to stop him begging for his mercy, but Gudama pushed her away out of anger, causing her to fall.

“You’re not a monster Gudama, don’t do this. You’re a child of earth. Your loyalty belongs to us,” she said looking up from the ground.

“Oh please. Throughout my space travels, I’ve obtained multiple citizenships on many worlds.

I’ am not bound by the false mind illusion of patriotism. My loyalty is to the welfare of all lifeforms. I treat each planet as a whole and do what’s best for all citizens not just on this world, but for all worlds all across the galaxies.”

Layla recovered and stood in silence with her head titled down and hands together.

“I extended my hand offering you help and how does your planet respond? They send their military to kill one of my own in cold blood, these so called brave honorable men of duty, it disgusts me.

It is the same response they did when Jesus tried to spread peace. Their actions are despicable. They fight for politics not freedom. Violence is the only thing you feeble minded earthlings can grasp. You’re all nothing but a bunch of wild animals, monkeys carrying guns with no logic or reason!”

Tears fell down Layla’s crystal like eyes down to her rosy red cheeks who felt horrible and guilty for the incident. Layla fell to her knees and folded her hands crying, pleading Gudama to reconsider an alternative. She begged for his forgiveness and apologized for her actions. Gudama crouched down to cover Luke’s face.

“This type of response deserves only one kind of action, the action that will end confusion, the action that will end evil, the only action that will solve all problems, and the action that will erase any misunderstanding.”

“What action is that?” Layla asked teary eyed.

Gudama slowly looked up at Layla, his eyes piercing through her soul, “War,” he slowly uttered in rage.

War

Furious, Gudama rose to his feet clenching his fists and teeth.

“Gudama please calm down,” begged Layla.

A loud explosion was heard in the distance.

“Was that a bomb?” Layla said startled.

“So, it’s begun,” said Gudama.

“What?”

“Another world war, they do this when they want to cease more control. It appears my arrival threatens their power, so now they’re kicking it in into over-drive.”

Layla browsed the web on her IPhone. She was shocked by the breaking news she came across.

“Gudama look! We’re being invaded,” she said pointing to the latest headlines.

“Alien space ships flood the skies!”
it said.

“What? This is preposterous! Fools, there is no such thing as an alien invasion, they’re already here! That’s why I wrote my book to warn them!”

Gudama paced around and kicked a humungous rock.

“You see, I don’t have to start a war, they already created one for us all!”

Layla pointed out to Gudama that the president was making a live emergency speech in response to the situation. Gudama walked beside her to watch the live feed on her phone.

The president declared war against the allied foreign forces consisting of multiple eastern countries and informed that the planet has been invaded by aliens. Gudama was at the top of the hit list with his picture being displayed as the most wanted. He was dubbed extremely dangerous and not to be trusted. Also, the president claimed that there exists two such species of extraterrestrials that are benign and presented on stage for live television a short skinny grey species possessing large black eyes along with a big head along, and a tall lizard like alien. The president stated that they are friendly and on earth’s side. The aliens both waved, falsely appearing to be peaceful.

The sight of this on media enraged Gudama.

“Dame them!” he yelled jolting his clenched fists.

Layla gasped, “Oh my God, those are the ones you warned about in your book!”

Gudama’s face expressed utter disgust by this news.

Swallowing saliva, Layla suggested returning to Andy’s ship and reconfiguring a new plan.

“I have a limited number of times I can return to the mothership. That’s why I was so careful. I just wasted my last visit with you.”

“So you’re going to kill those who oppose you and conquer earth,” said Layla upset.

“Take over? Why in the world would you think that?”

“Because you hid your identity and the way you two were talking last night terrified me. I was eavesdropping on your conversations and sent a distress text from my phone using technology on the ship.”

“How the,” Gudama sighed shaking his head?

“Do you have any idea what you’ve done? Are you out of your mind! Huh? I’m here to save the earth not destroy it! Are you crazy, haven’t you learned anything from my book?”

“I’m sorry Gudama. I thought you were dangerous, but when we were leaving Andy said something to me telepathically and I knew I was wrong.”

Layla pulled out her IPhone and showed him the replies to her messages she sent to her friend. It revealed her emergency text last night to Henry. Fearing for Layla’s safety, Henry’s concern drove him to inform police, telling everything that happened and got Eric involved who gave officers the lighthouse location as his heart ached for Layla’s wellbeing.

“I never meant for anything to happen to Luke, you, or Andy. I just wanted to protect my planet.”

Gudama showed her his teeth displaying his rage.

“Dame these blasted devices,” he said crushing her phone into a fine powder.

“I was afraid, your anger scares me. I’m so sorry,” said Layla trembling while backing off.

She feared she may end up like her phone.

Gudama made violent gestures of anger.

“This is why I hid my identity, you know why, because I realized if people knew, all I would receive was jealousy and hatred, the only things you losers know how to do!”

Layla returned his statement with a naïve puppy face, saddened by the situation. Gudama made a disapproving grunt and walked away shaking his head. He withdrew a small capsule from his utility belt.

Pressing the button Gudama tossed it and out emerged a medium sized spaceship.

“You have a ship? I didn’t know you have your own mini-ship.”

Gudama proceeded to board on the walkway.

“Where are you going?” she said following.

“I’m going to put an end to this. By destroying the evil of your planet I save millions and prevent your world from being eliminated by more powerful civilizations! The stupidity of your rulers will cause them to continue their idiocy outside of earth, and when that happens, eventually someone much more advance than them will crush them like the cockroaches that they are! By doing what I’m doing, I save you from your inevitable death!”

“Stop this Gudama I know you’re not a murder! Why don’t you come clean? Just tell everybody who you really are and what happened.”

“You really want to know what happened to me, huh? You really want to know where I’m from. Nowhere, I was captured a long time a go by intergalactic gangsters!”

“What are you talking about? You said you went with Pleiadians.”

“Yes, I did, but there’s more to it.”

Layla sighed, “Alright Gudama, I’ve had enough of this! Tell me full truth. Who are you, where are you from?”

Gudama let out a breath, “I’m from earth just like you. Like I said, I was approached by Pleiadians who offered me assistance and left with them for a while. I saw it as a chance to gain knowledge and power, an opportunity like never before, so that I may return to earth and accelerate it out of tyranny. The original agreement I made with them was a short visit to learn what I need to help this world. Technically, taking another from an undeveloped planet like earth’s is forbidden however, I went with a group of volunteers so it was legal. Still, there were those who frowned at contacting earthlings.”

“Word got out that I was on the Pleiades and those who disapproved despised that an outsider from earth was learning higher knowledge and spiritual science. Fearing I would misuse such new power, these renegades attacked us. They killed my friends and destroyed their planet. Everyone I loved, everything we worked so hard for, gone! They took me as a prisoner for their sick experiments, but luckily I was rescued by a space traveler and received help. In order to earn my return to earth, I tagged along and fought on other planets for peace. I don’t exactly know how long I was in space, but it was long enough that I had to travel back in time. I already lost a world failing to protect them. I won’t lose this one...again.”

Calming down, Gudama walked up closer bracing her, “Look, I’m not going to harm the innocent. I know I get scary when angry, but believe me I can control it. I unleash my fury only on those who seek to destroy. When you travel outside of the earth and see different worlds, something happens to you. Words are not best at explaining it, but you become changed, you see things differently. You learn more about yourself and that life is very precious and how it is essential to do whatever is necessary to preserve it. When I met Andaglios and others who believed in the freedoms of all species, we together created the Galactic Earth Federation in order to save it. I became commander of a special intergalactic fleet of individuals dedicated to serving humanity, and helping those in need all over the universe. We have come back to stop the evil of this planet. I respect the views of all worlds as they are based on their own unique experience, but the way I see it Layla, to limit oneself to another world’s expectations is not only childish, it is downright insane. You’re just going to have to trust me.”

Boarding the ship, Gudama gestured for Layla. Happy, she ran after him delighted that he still allowed her to accompany him.

“Don’t think I’ve forgiven you. I’m only taking you, because it’s too dangerous to let you go,” he said ending her excitement, “You managed to get my friend killed all within our own ship, I can’t image what you do if set free.”

“But Gudama,” she pleaded.

“Silence, I can’t trust you anymore.”

Swiftly, they zoomed high up into the sky, yet inside you couldn’t tell as the interior was unaffected by the incredible speed they were traveling at.

“I need to inform earth of the situation,” Gudama said sitting on his seat, “Press that button over there,” he said pointing.

“This one,” Layla asked to which Gudama nodded. With one push of a button, Gudama broadcasted another global message interrupting all communication equipment. He informed people of his disappointment and of the attack from the dark government causing the death of his friend, and his intention to stop the war. Additionally, he warned everyone to not trust reptilian or grey aliens.

“Many of you believe that your military fights for your freedom, but this is an illusion. They serve to protect the establishment, that’s what they’re fighting for. Now I understand this may be hard to accept, but you need to wake up to the reality of the situation. Media has been hypnotizing you for far too long,” he continued.

With authority in his voice, he demanded that all countries cease world war to prevent additional chaos and await his further instruction on dealing with domestic terrorists and the alien invaders. He thought for a second and then told everyone he was departing to the deserts of the Middle East to end the war. Gudama signaled and Layla cut the transmission. Gudama inputted a command to recourse his ship to the new destination.

“What are you going to do?”

“Destroy terrorists and evil aliens assisting them.”

“Aliens are helping them?” she said surprised.

Within a few minutes, they landed at their rendezvous with religious extremists. Once they reached the area, Gudama wanted to stop terrorists before dealing with global super powers. Wasting little time, Gudama destroyed several known Islamic terrorist camps, zapping them like bugs from his ship. He took them off guard by swiftly flying in and out, not spending any more time than necessary to take them out. Layla worried about innocent lives, but Gudama assured her of his accuracy and that they were all terrorist facilities. Gudama viewed the Islamic fascists as psychotic primitives and made quick work of annihilating them. He then landed at a remote location

“You stay here, don’t want you getting hurt, and don’t even think about anymore secret calls, this ship only understands alien dialect. Say the wrong thing and you’ll be lost in deep space.” Gudama said departing. He proceeded to walk to an isolated area, the sand cushioning his every step.

“Wait!” Layla called running after him outside.

“Before you go, I have one question,” she said bracing him, “Did you have any feelings for me?”

“What?” Gudama said slowly, “You really lost it.”

“Tell me you had no feelings.”

“Please, I’m not answering that.”

“Why?”

“Because it’s a stupid question, let me go.”

“Say you never felt anything!” she said grabbing him closer to which Gudama couldn’t respond. Both of their eyes were locked exchanging the most powerful force in existence.

“Then that’s why you’ll return,” she stated.

Releasing her grip, Layla let him go and returned to the ship. As the ship began its ascend, she watched Gudama from the big front window. He took one last look at her before it promptly left, zooming sky high in orbit keeping Layla safe from harm’s way.

“I will,” he said watching the ship disappear into the heavens. Wind blew his hair in all different directions and he stood awaiting the military. About eleven miles away, American forces were ordered to investigate. Troops gathered themselves as anxiety overwhelmed them for the unknown power of an alien. Fear filled some of their hearts while others were eager to fight. American soldiers were led by the general who got the call from intelligence informing him the location of where Gudama’s ship last landed. After some pursuit, they found him sitting on the ground in mediation. Alert to their arrival, Gudama rose up and turned around.

The general smirked as Gudama steadily walked closer. Soon after, they were face to face.

“Welcome to earth. I’m General Larson, pleased to meet you,” he said extending his hand with a grin. Gudama didn’t flinch, refusing his offer. “Impressive charade you pulled off, outstanding theatrical performance,” commented Larson.

“End this, it isn’t worth it.”

General Larson laughed holding his forehead, displaying his big yellow stained greenish teeth, “Why did you come back? You should’ve stayed in space Commander,” Larson said mockingly.

Gudama slanted his eyebrows.

“Yeeeess, we know who you are, and of your alien friends,” Larson said smilingly.

“Earth needs me, I’ll never abandon it.”

“How do we know you haven’t become one of them hmm?”

“We could have turned off all your power if we wanted to. You would have been gone by now,” Gudama stated in a serious tone.
