CHAPTER ONE

“Take me home tonight, Angie?” Kyle flashed me a sexy grin, his ocean blue eyes glinting. Spearing several olives with a toothpick, he added them to a cocktail he was making for a customer.

He didn’t wait for my answer. “Don’t go away. I’ll be right back, baby,” he added huskily. Then he hustled to the other side of the bar to deliver the drink.

As if I was going anywhere. I was planted on a bar stool in my usual spot at the Bite Me Bar, trying to act as if his words had no effect on me. But they did—oh yeah they did. Waves of desire rushed through my body and my panties felt moist. He could probably smell my scent, even though he was a few feet away working behind the bar.

Kyle and I had slept together more than a few times over the past few months and the sex had been beyond mind blowing. At 6’4’’, the sexy bear shifter’s surfer boy good looks—his dirty blonde hair, easy grin and powerful, muscular body, were a huge turn on. Not only was he easy on the eyes, but he knew just where and how to touch me to drive me wild. Just thinking of our time together made me cream my panties. Plus, we got along great. I really enjoyed his company and he seemed to enjoy mine.

But that’s where it stopped. As much as I would have loved to take it to the next level, Kyle made it clear he was all about having fun and playing the field. As a bartender at the Bite Me Bar, he had a big field to choose from. Lots of sexy werewomen dangled their charms in front of him and vied for his attention every night. Sometimes, he would take one of them to bed. We weren’t committed to each other so he was in the right to do as he pleased, but it hurt—a lot. I kept thinking there was something special between us and eventually he’d forget the other girls and just want to be with me, but it hadn’t happened. I knew it was time to move on.

Kyle was back in front of me in a flash. “I’m off at 2am. Do you want to wait for me here, or should we meet at your place?”

“Kyle, stop being such a horny bear and do your job. I need another drink.”

Kyle leaned over the bar counter. “Do you want another pale ale, a Howling Martini, or…”

“Beer, please.” I tried to avoid looking at his sexy ass and glanced around the Bite Me Bar. It was a busy night as usual and the drinks were flowing.

“Coming right up, you sexy she-wolf,” Kyle said, grabbing a frosty mug. He filled it to the rim with beer and set it in front of me.

I greedily took a long slurp of the hoppy brew.

“Mmm, just watching those pouty lips of yours…what you do to me woman…”

“Stop it, Kyle. Like I told you last week, I’m not sleeping with you anymore.”

God he was tempting. And I knew exactly what
his
pouty lips could do.

“I need you tonight…tonight…tonight…” Kyle sang, giving me a pleading, puppy dog look.

It was pretty obvious Kyle didn’t believe me last week when I told him I was done sleeping with him. I rolled my eyes. “Enough! I’m not going to bed with you again, period.”

Kyle stopped mid-note, a surprised look on his face. “You’re serious?”

“We’ve had this discussion already, Kyle. Yes, I mean it. I need a real relationship, not just a roll in the hay. Go flirt with one of your groupies. Take one of them to bed,” I wagged my finger towards the end of the bar.

Women were attracted to Kyle like bees to honey. He had more than his pick of the litter. They lined the Bite Me Bar nightly, reveling in any bone of attention he’d throw them. He would have no trouble finding someone else to warm his bed this evening. This didn’t exactly make me feel good, but it was what it was.

“Besides, I have a date tonight.”

“You have a date?” Kyle frowned.

“Yep. A real, genuine honest to goodness date—not just a romp in the sack, and he’s due,” I tapped my watch, “any minute now.”

“Really…who is it? Where did you meet him?”

“Well, that is none of your business, Kyle Collins.”

Ok, I didn’t want to admit that I’d never met Monty in person. I had come across his profile on a social site when his tiny thumbnail photo caught my eye. I clicked, and whoa…I had to keep from drooling. The guy was smoking hot in an earthy, rugged way.

I sent a friend request which he’d accepted, and we’d been texting and chatting for a while now. Why not? It’s not like Kyle and I were in a committed relationship.

Monty and I clicked and I felt like we’d been friends for years. We had so much in common. I couldn’t wait to meet him in person, and tonight I finally would. He had taken a two week vacation from work and was driving from North Carolina to visit me and spend the next few days in Frederick. Then he planned to spend another week in D.C. exploring the Capitol, Lincoln Memorial, museums and other attractions.

Kyle grimaced. “Is he tall with dark hair, a straggly mustache and beard, and a dumb look on his face?”

“Kyle! Don’t be mean. He’s deliciously scruffy, not straggly… and yeah, he’s tall and dark.” I followed Kyle’s gaze to the entry of the Bite Me.

“It looks like he’s here,” Kyle muttered.

Oh my God! I’d heard of people from online dating sites using other people’s pictures or deceptive photos of themselves to get people interested in them. They made themselves look hot when they actually weren’t. But that wasn’t the case with Monty. He looked just as handsome in person as he did in his photo. He
was
all that and a bag of chips. A thatch of thick, dark hair framed a ruggedly handsome face, and his body… Even in his clothes, I could see he was made of twisted steel and sex appeal. I licked my lips as I imagined
that
steel buck naked and twisted inside me.

He was looking a little lost. I couldn’t help myself and I rushed towards him. It was so awesome to see him in the flesh.

“Monty!”

A smile lit up his face as he recognized my voice from the phone calls we’d had and he spotted me. He walked quickly towards me and scooped me up in a big hug, holding me tightly for a moment before letting go.

“Angie…Angel Sue. You look like an angel.” I could feel Monty’s eyes roaming my body and taking in my curves. I was average height for a woman with an overly generous belly, breasts, and hips. He’d seen my pictures so he knew I wasn’t Ms. Skinny Minnie. It was obvious he liked what he saw as his grin grew wider. I’m happy with my curves and I don’t need anybody’s approval, but it still felt good to see his pleasure. As he leaned in to hug me again, I could smell his cologne; a mixture of wood, amber, and bergamot. Even though he was in his man, through the scent I could smell the essence of his bear—strong, determined, and fierce. He was delicious.

For a moment I felt shy, but Monty put me at ease right away.
“Let’s see it?”

I didn’t have to ask, I knew what he wanted to see. I pulled the top of my shirt part way down my shoulder, revealing my angel wings tattoo. It was in honor of my sweet Granny and namesake Angel Harper, the woman who had raised me and my sister Missy after my mom deserted us.

“I love it…so sexy. You’re so sexy.”

“Oooh la! You are such a sweet talker.” I could see this was going to be a good night—a really good night. “Let’s get you a drink,” I said leading my prize over to my seat at the bar.

The other seats were taken so I offered mine to Monty; he’d had a long drive after all.

“Let’s share.” He sat down on the stool and scooped me up with his right hand, pulling me onto his lap. Wrapping his arm securely around my waist he whispered in my ear, “You fit just right.”

Kyle moved over towards us, his eyes narrowed into thin slants. “What do you want to drink?” he asked gruffly.

“Monty, this is Kyle,” I said. “Kyle’s a good friend and a top notch bartender. He makes a mean Howling Martini and pours a frosty glass of beer.”

“And Kyle, this is Monty from North Carolina.”

“Hello, Monty from North Carolina,” Kyle said, a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

I frowned. Kyle was acting pretty rude. What was this all about? We had no commitment. He flirted with other girls in front of me and made no secret of the fact that he slept with some of them. Was he thinking he could have who he wanted but I couldn’t? Hell to the no…that’s not how it worked.

“Draft, please…” Monty said, ignoring Kyle’s tone.

Kyle poured Monty’s beer and set it in front of us.

I decided to ignore Kyle. He was likely just pissed I wasn’t going to sleep with him anymore, but that was his fault for not wanting a deeper relationship.

As Monty and I talked, the words just couldn’t come out fast enough. We had so much in common. As we chatted I realized Kyle was still hovering around. Though there were a lot of people at the bar and only him and Chloe bartending, he made no move to wait on the other customers.  He seemed to be going out of his way to make as much noise as possible; banging glasses, coughing, and turning on the blender.

As much as I loved sitting in Monty’s lap, Kyle was being pretty obnoxious. “Why don’t we head out of here?” I said to Monty, making sure to say it loud enough so Kyle would hear. “There’s a little wine bar up the street. We’ll have more privacy there.” It was pretty nervy of Kyle to try and intrude on my date. He didn’t want a serious relationship, but he didn’t seem to want me to have one with anyone else either.

“Yeah, it’s pretty noisy in here.” Monty wrapped his arm around my shoulder as he flipped a few bills on the bar and we left, not bothering to look back.

CHAPTER TWO

We never made it to the wine bar. We had barely walked out the door to the Bite Me when Monty pulled me towards him, giving me a long, deep kiss. I could feel currents of electricity running through my spine it was that good. I sensed a promise of what was to come and I knew he felt it too. I didn’t want him to pull away.

“Damn, your lips are sweet like honey. And you know us bears love our honey.”

“Uh huh, I know,” I giggled, giving him what I hoped was a sexy look. I wanted him looking for more honey from my lips
and
from my honey pot.

“I’ve been waiting all night to do that. If that bartender Kevin…”

“Kyle…his name is Kyle.”

“If Kyle hadn’t been trying to kill me with his eyes, I would’ve done it sooner. Just didn’t want things to get nasty in there. I didn’t want to fight with him. I don’t like hurting people if I can help it.”

“Kyle and I, we, umm…” What was I supposed to say? Should I say that Kyle and I were sex buddies or friends with benefits? It was best to keep it simple and tell the truth. “We…um…we’ve gotten together a few times but it’s over. He’s not ready for a committed relationship and I am.”

“Maybe it’s over for you, but not for him,” Monty grunted.

“Nah, he’s just looking out for me. Come on. Let’s go back to my place.” I grabbed Monty’s hand. It was large and firm and it felt good to squeeze as we walked. “I live just a couple of blocks up the street.”

We walked along in silence, my mind a mix of emotions. This man excited me. He had a needy hunger and fierceness to him that turned me on and I knew he liked me. Yet at the same time, I thought of Kyle. Was he upset just because he didn’t like getting turned down, or was he a little jealous? My heart melted a little as I remembered the times we’d shared together. Well, he’d had his chance.

“Here it is—my little home. Not fancy, but it’s affordable,” I said as we reached my place.

My apartment was one of two units in an older building in downtown Frederick. I was on the lower level with a street entry.

“I like it,” Monty said, admiring the outside of the brick building. “The architecture in the downtown area is really nice.”

We walked up the few steps to my apartment and Monty followed me in as I unlocked the door and pushed it open.

“How about a drink?” I asked. “Do you want beer, wine, whis…”

Before I had a chance to finish, Monty reached for me, pressing me against his body.

“You babe, I just want you. Ever since we started chatting online, I’ve felt this connection with you. And now that I see you in person…” He held me closely. I could feel his cock stiffening through his pants as he pressed against my body.

“Well now, I…” Before I had a chance to finish my sentence, Monty’s lips were on mine, his tongue probing my mouth. Monty was a little rough around the edges and that excited me. He knew what he wanted and he was going for it. Happily, it was obvious what he wanted was me. I loved his fierceness.

“Mmmm, you’re so delicious,” Monty murmured.

Me, delicious? He was the yummy one. From his handsome good looks to his gruff but warm personality, this werebear tantalized me.

“Do you mind?” Monty scooped me up and set me down on the couch.

“No,” I whispered. My voice was caught in my throat. God I wanted him.

“Good.” Staring directly in my eyes, Monty started unbuttoning my blouse.

I could barely breathe as his hands slid the shirt off my shoulders and he moved to unclasp my bra, my breasts spilling out in front of him. He gazed at them in frank appreciation. The way he looked at me made me squirm with pleasure. There was so much neediness and desire there.

“Monty, should we…”

He pressed a finger to my lips. “Shh…this is so right. I’ve wanted to do this all night.” Monty flicked his lips along the outline of my angel wings tattoo.

“Mmm,” a little chill of delight raced through me.

“You’re so fucking sexy. You were meant for me. Do you see how my lips fit perfectly over your nipples?” He grinned as he lowered his mouth, brushing his lips softly along my neck and shoulders. Then, he hungrily sought out my nipples, licking and flicking them with his tongue. As he buried his face in my breasts, I could feel my panties growing wetter and wetter.

“So luscious,” he murmured, a mouthful of tit between his lips.

He lowered his mouth, rolling his tongue along my stomach.

I moaned with pleasure as I leaned back on the couch.

“You’re such a beautiful woman, Angie.”

“That’s so sweet of you, Monty.”

“Do you know what I think would be sweet? I think it would be very sweet if you were naked,” his voice grew low and hoarse. “Angie, get naked for me.”

The rawness of his voice was such a turn on. I unzipped my jeans and Monty helped me wriggle out of them. I was slouched on the couch with nothing on but a pair of aqua panties.

“Fair is fair Monty. I can’t be all naked and you fully dressed.”

“That’s no problem,” Monty said, giving me a wicked grin as he pulled off his shirt and pants.

I swallowed hard, admiring his firm shoulders, muscular pecs, and cut abs. As he pulled off his boxers, my eyes widened. Monty’s cock was thick, long, and at full mast. I couldn’t help but lean forward and plant my lips on it, hungrily sucking it fully in my mouth as I cupped his balls. I swallowed him deep, his dick rubbing against the soft palate of my mouth.

Monty groaned. “Mmm, I love the feel of your lips wrapped around my cock and balls, but you’ll make me burst. Baby I need to taste and fuck you first.”

Sliding his hands along my thighs to my panties, he lifted my ass up from the couch. He pulled them off, tossing them to the side. “Nice,” he whispered, stroking two fingers along my folds.

“You’re so wet and ready.”

God, was I ever.

“I’m going to lick you first.” Monty leaned down and ran his tongue along my slit, burying his nose in my folds and inhaling deeply. He lapped up and down, again and again, till I was dripping like crazy and my thighs were shaking. He was driving me wild.

“I love your scent and your taste,” Monty moaned between licks.

“And I love how you…God it feels so good…taste me…” Electricity was shooting through me as he licked and sucked. I didn’t even know what I was saying anymore. Then he zeroed in on my clit, circling and flicking the bud with his talented tongue.

“I can’t stand it any longer!” The pressure inside me was so intense, I just had to let go. Waves of pleasure shot through my body. I clawed the side of the couch as the ripples rocked through my inner core. It felt so amazing.

“I have to have you now.” Monty worked his lips quickly up my belly button and back up to my mouth. Holding me tightly, he pushed his cock deep into my slick passage and stroked back and forth.  The pleasure on his face was intense as he filled me up with his hefty shaft, slapping his balls against me.

“Fuck me, Monty!” I screamed. “Fuck me harder!”

Monty was ferocious, sliding against me, his body slick with a light gleam of sweat, his mouth sticky with my juices. He was pounding my pussy deeper, longer and harder with every stroke.

“You’re so wet and tight, I can’t hold back,” he moaned. Then he exploded, his face twisted with pure bliss as his sperm shot into my pussy. He held me tightly as every ounce of his seed poured into me. He pulled out his cock, his creamy sperm dribbling down my thighs and coating them with the milky liquid.

“God that was so good. You’re my little angel, Angie,” he whispered as he held me close.

I’d thought sex couldn’t get any better than when I was with Kyle… but I was wrong. It was different, but just as good with Monty.
