Without looking up, he said, “Is it so hard to imagine that I want to help you? That I desire you so much that I arranged for you could attend?” He looked at her then, and her heart stalled.

“You’ve never looked at me twice in the office,” Rose said softly.

His gaze locked on hers now, he whispered. “I saw you, Rose, believe me, I saw you.”

Chapter Three

R
ose looked down
at her plate, not exactly sure what to say after that, but feeling her cheeks heat. Before she knew what was happening, the sound of a chair scraping on the floor, of china clanking together, surrounded her, echoing off the walls. Lifting her head, she saw Jaxon coming toward her with his plate and wine glass in hand.

He sat down beside her, and she knew if this was really going to happen, not just because he’d paid for her and she’d signed a contract, but because she actually wanted Jaxon, she needed to loosen up. Rose knew what she was getting into, knew this was going to happen, wanted it to happen, and she needed to relax and try to enjoy this.

Enjoy this?

She didn’t have a choice, but the arousal she felt just looking at him, the desire she’d for him even before tonight, let her know that if she’d just relax and let herself enjoy this, Jaxon could make her feel really good.

He can make you feel more than good.

After a minute, they both started silently eating, the air thick. She forced herself to eat to help settle her stomach. When she was finished, she pushed her plate aside and grabbed her glass of wine, one that Jaxon had refilled. After sucking the whole glass down, she set it back down and exhaled. Her breath stalled and her heart raced when Jaxon brushed his fingers along hers. Tingles of electricity raced up her arm at the small contact. He lifted the wine bottle and poured her glass full again.

“Keeping a clear head might be better,” she said, knowing that getting drunk was probably not the smart thing to do, even though liquid courage was what she really wanted. Just looking at him had every erogenous zone on her body standing at full attention.

“I think having some wine might make you more relaxed, especially with what we are going to do tonight.” His voice was deep, sexy, and she grew wet. Clenching her thighs together, she swallowed past her nerves.

“You’re probably right.” All she could think about were the dirty things Jaxon would do to her. Would he be rough or gentle, seduce or dominate? Based on the way he was in the office, the power that emanated from him, the way he held himself, spoke to others, made her see him as very controlling and domineering in the bedroom.

And thinking about that has you even wetter, wanting it more.

Lifting the glass to her lips, she let the sweetly flavored white wine wash over her taste buds. Jaxon leaned back in his seat and watched her over the rim of his glass. She was so used to seeing every onyx strand in its rightful place at the office, but here he looked so carefree, like he just didn’t give a fuck. Did he know the effect he had on the female population, on her?

As she stared at his body, at the tightly corded muscles straining against the material of his shirt, of the definition that was so clear, so masculine, all she could feel was the wine and heat moving through her veins.

“How about we get your questions out of the way?” He set his glass on the table, his fingers splaying around the stem.

“Questions?”

He smirked again. “The questions concerning exactly what I plan to do to you tonight.”

Oh, yes, my questions.
She cleared her throat once more and found her nerve. “What exactly do you plan on doing to me tonight?” His other arm was draped over the back of his chair and his whole demeanor was relaxed.

“Anything I want, Rose.”

Her heart skipped a beat. “I…”
God, how am I supposed to respond?
Rose didn’t know what she was supposed to say, how she was supposed to think clearly. She focused her attention on the glossy finish of the table in front of her, but after a moment feeling his intense gaze on her, she finally lifted her head to stare into his eyes.

“Are you afraid?”

“Yes,” she said without hesitation, being honest. This man was her boss; he’d admitted that he’d made it possible for her to be a part of the auction, and she was his for the night. She didn’t know why, but she wanted him, and even if she could have stopped this, backed out, fled, she wouldn’t have.

“Why?” he asked in an almost somber voice.

She swallowed, not sure how to answer.

“What are you afraid of?” He kept his focus on her. “Me, Rose? Are you frightened of me?”

She didn’t answer right away, because honestly she didn’t know if she was afraid of him, or of what he might do to her.

“Pain?”

She licked her lips. She supposed that was one of the fears, not the most prominent one, but one nonetheless. Rose nodded.

“Are you afraid I’ll hurt you, that it won’t be good for you?”

Did she think he would hurt her for the sole purpose of deriving pleasure from her pain? Rose knew he was a dominant man, knew he liked to be in control.

Hell, Jaxon Caldwell was always in control, and she found that extremely arousing. She’d always been a woman that was shy, more reserved, but even thinking about allowing herself to let go, to be with this man in every way, had this pleasure-high stealing over her. To think that he could hold her down and have his way with her was something she had never thought might actually happen, but it was certainly something she’d fantasized about.

“Yes, to a degree,” Rose answered honestly, not about to lie, because there was no point. Jaxon could read someone just from the expression on their face, by their body language.

The sound of his fingers drumming on the tabletop had her looking down and focusing on his hands. His fingers, long and masculine, tapped out a rhythmic beat that seemed to match the beating of her heart. She was like a scared rabbit running from a wolf as he chased her through the darkened forest intent on devouring her.

“Look at me,” he said in that deep, commanding voice; one that had shivers quaking her entire body, and stealing her breath. His finger was under her chin before she could even obey him; and she’d ever intended to disobey him.

“The only kind of pain I’ll give you will be the kind that makes you come.”

God, she was going to pass out, because as much as that should scare the shit out of her, she was so wet right now, so damn wet that she shifted on the seat to try to alleviate the intensity.

“I would never hurt you without knowing you’d enjoy it.” He leaned in an inch and she smelled the intoxicating aroma of his cologne, and the sweet, spicy scent of the wine he’d just consumed. He still had his finger under her chin, holding her immobile, as he looked into her eyes. Yet, he barely touched her. “The pain I will give you will always be controlled and only meant to heighten your pleasure.”

He leaned forward another inch until she felt the heat from his body spear into hers. “Anything I do to you will bring you just as much pleasure as it will bring me, and in fact, seeing that pain cover your face, followed by your pleasure, and hearing your cries of orgasm, will be so damn arousing, Rose. So fucking hot.”

She was breathing heavily now, her chest rising and falling harshly. If she just titled her head an inch, their lips would be touching, but she wanted his power, his control. Rose wanted Jaxon to show her the dominance that surrounded him. She made an involuntary noise in the back of her throat, and he groaned deeply, as if sensing how turned on she was right now.

“Why me? Why the auction?” she whispered, glancing down. “Why would a man like you need to pay for a night with a woman?” When he didn’t respond right away, she looked up.

He was watching her so intently, making her feel bared, exposed, and she loved it, but she also felt off balanced.

“Why is it so unbelievable that I would want you, Rose?”

“Because you’ve never even looked twice at me, because you’re my boss, and because you can get any woman you want.” She swallowed past the lump in her throat. “I’m sure acquiring a virgin for free, especially for you, isn’t unattainable.”

“I can get any woman I want.”

He didn’t say it with cockiness; he didn’t even look smug. He said it matter-of-factly.

“You’re different, gentler, sweeter. You’re different from the women that I have been with, Rose.”

“And that’s a good thing?” she asked plainly.

He smoothed his thumb along her cheek before taking his hand away from her face. “Yes, it’s an incredible thing.” He leaned back in his seat. “The women that I’ve had wanted me because of who I am, what I have, and what I can give them. You’ve never come onto me, never tried to entice me. I’ve noticed you from day one, Rose.”

“You wouldn’t have had to pay for me,” she whispered, inserting her foot into her mouth right away, and feeling her cheeks heat because of it.

He smirked, but it wasn’t really one of humor.

“No?” He lifted a brow, seeming intrigued.

She shook her head. “No,” she whispered.

“But I knew you needed help. Would you have preferred me just to give you the money?”

God, she didn’t want to talk about this, because she didn’t want to feel like this was a transaction anymore. She didn’t want to be with Jaxon because he’d paid for her. Now that the wine was flowing through her body, relaxing her, easing her worries, she just wanted this to happen.

“It isn’t just about sex, Rose. I don’t want it to be just about this one night. It’s not just because I’ve paid for your cherry.”

Oh. My. God.
The way he said that last part had her entire body heating.

“You want this,” he stated it with cool composure, and she found herself nodding.

“Say it,” he ordered.

Rose licked her lips. “I want this, want you Jaxon.”

He let out this low, primal, and almost animalistic growl. “Good, because I want you suck my cock, Rose.”

Chapter Four

J
axon spoke so
calmly, yet his tone so demanding, that Rose found herself standing and pushing away from the table immediately. She wanted this. Even though it seemed wrong on so many levels, she knew she wanted to be controlled by a man like Jaxon.

No, she wanted to be controlled by Jaxon himself, totally, irrevocably. She wanted to be completely at his mercy, at the mercy of the man who had bought her for the night.

“Undress for me. Let me see you fully, Rose.”

He pushed away from the table and leaned back in his chair. Legs slightly open, he looked like a man that was ready for anything, ready for her. He kept a hold of his wine glass as he watched her undress.

Rose slipped the material off her shoulders, and the robe fell to the ground silently, seamlessly. The cool air brushed along her sensitive flesh, her nipples hardened and she felt herself become impossibly wetter. And there she stood, devoid of anything, her pussy bare, as specified in her contract, with Jaxson’s gaze trained right at her.

From the way his eyes grew heavy-lidded and his knuckles turned white on the arm of his chair, she surmised he enjoyed looking at her, was pleased with her. That pleased her in return.

“Come here,” he said in a low, commanding voice.

She took a step closer to him.

He swept his gaze down her breasts, lower to her belly, and stopped when he got to her pussy. “A bare cunt, just the way I envisioned you, Rose.”

God, his voice is so damn deep, I can feel it reverberate inside my pussy.

“I love that there is nothing obstructing my view of your clit, love that you’re all pink and soft.” He crooked his finger at her. “Come closer.” She was frozen in place as she watched him unzip his slacks. However, he didn’t make an effort to remove his cock, and that had her needy for more of him.

She swallowed roughly and closed the distance between them until her knees brushed his legs. He leaned back even more in the chair, totally relaxed.

“Get on your knees, pretty girl.”

Kneeling before him, Rose looked up at him. He reached out and ran his thumb along her bottom lip before lightly pulling it down.

“Open your mouth,” he ordered softly.

She did as he said, her whole body shaking from the force of her nerves and her arousal. He then proceeded to move his thumb into her mouth and run it over her tongue. He leaned forward, their lips inches apart, their breath mingling together. With his other hand, he gripped her chin between his thumb and forefinger, their eyes locked, her breath stalled.

“You want me to kiss you, pretty girl?”

Rose found herself nodding right away.

He smirked, dipped his gaze lower, and groaned. “Say it, Rose. Ask me for it.”

“Please kiss me, Jaxon.”

And then he slammed his mouth on hers, slipped his tongue between her lips, and mouth fucked her. He did this for long seconds, dominating her with just his tongue. He had her beg for more, though neither said anything, and he had her wetter than she’d ever been in her life. She might be a virgin, but she wasn’t a prude.

Jaxon broke the kiss too soon, but she was ready for more, ready for this to be more.

“Take my cock out and slip it into that sweet mouth of yours.”

She reached out with shaking fingers, separated the material of his fly, and pulled out his hard, long, thick cock. He hadn’t been wearing briefs, so there was no obstacle to obeying him. A glance up at him showed an expressionless face, yet his eyes told her he was waiting, anticipating this.

Looking down at his shaft, she felt her mouth water and her throat tighten. His dick was long and thick and tipped with a bulbous head that was flushed red with his arousal, and tipped with pre-cum from his need for her. Veins lined the heavy length, almost throbbing with the force of his desire, his arousal.

The very idea of putting him in her mouth, sucking him until he came in her mouth, shot his load down her throat, had her leaning forward, parting her lips, and eager to take him.

She’d given oral before, but she wasn’t an expert, certainly not like the other woman he’d surely been with.
