He rapidly walked to the front door and opened it before I had a chance to ring the doorbell. When I saw him I stood there clutching the roses with a frog in my throat.

“Aaron, it’s a surprise to see you.”

“Yes, Dr. Carmichael, I’m here to see Monica.”

“Cultivated roses, I see you’ve made an excellent choice.”

“Yes sir.”

“Well, how about you and I go take a drive?” he said stepping outside and closing the door behind him.

“Sure, Dr. Carmichael,” I said nervously. “But what about these roses I brought for Monica?”

“Bring them along, Aaron.”

We moved down the walkway that led to the driveway. I noticed he was neatly dressed as usual.

“So, should I drive?” I asked once we reached our vehicles.

“I would prefer you did,” he said. “The traffic in Atlanta can be so unsettling for me.”

I placed the roses carefully on the back seat as before and we began our unknown departure. The only words he said during our ride were what road to travel and where to turn. I remained silent and hesitated to start a conversation. After a while, we ended up at a golf driving range on North Druid Hills Road.

“So, how’s your golf game?” he asked opening his door after I parked.

“It’s pretty bad,” I said feeling a little more comfortable. “I’ve been neglecting it a lot lately.”

“Now’s the perfect time for you to catch up on it,” he said. I come here and practice all the time plus it relieves stress.

We walked in together and both received a framed bucket filled with golf balls and a golf club. The interior of the range had individual tee stations where one could stand and hit countless balls into the green which stretched for a couple of hundred yards. The green was littered with balls from previous users. I found an empty tee station and Dr. Carmichael found one right next to me.

“Do you love her, Aaron?” he asked catching me off guard as he placed a golf ball on the tee in front of him.

“Yes, with all my heart, Dr. Carmichael.”

“How did the infidelity situation come about?” he asked swinging his club and sending the golf ball out into the green.

“I guess I wasn’t thinking with the right head on that fateful night.”

“You’re young, Aaron, and sometimes with that comes pitfalls you may not be aware of,” he said striking another golf ball off his tee. “During your maturation in marriage you have to find a way to side step those pitfalls or they will destroy you.”

“Yeah, I see your point,” I said as he began to tee up again.

“Remember what I told you I had never done in my marriage back on your wedding day in Hawaii?”

“You said you never…”

“Yes, Aaron, I remember what I said,” he announced cutting me off quickly. “But that wasn’t the wholehearted truth.”

“So, did she ever find out?”

“Oh, yeah, and it did damn nearly killed our marriage,” he said sounding ashamed of his past. “It took a long time before she could restore her trust and faith in me but thirty years later we are still together. What I’m trying to say, Aaron, is sometimes negative things happen to make you stronger in the long run.”

“I never thought I’d be hearing this from you, Dr. Carmichael.”

“I’m telling you this, Aaron, because I want your marriage to succeed like mine despite what has happened. You’re going to have to allow Monica to trust you again. It’s a gradual process but it can happen.”

“Dr. Carmichael, why are you sharing these words of wisdom with me, now?”

“It’s because I love my daughter and don’t want to see her hurt anymore. Now, are you going to stand there all day and watch me?”

I felt some sort of relief as I grabbed a golf ball out of my bucket and teed off. My shot was horrible as I sliced the ball to the far right.

“That was downright awful, Aaron,” said Dr. Carmichael. “You definitely need to practice. Well, tee up again and have another go at it.”

We spent the next few hours on the driving range talking as Dr. Carmichael gave me some pointers about my golf game and life in general. I felt we bonded more during our time there than we ever did in the past.

The sun began to set and the rush-hour traffic had picked up when we left the driving range. As I pulled into the Carmichael’s driveway for the second time that day, I felt a sense of urgency to speak with Monica but I was nervous.

“Why don’t you grab those pretty roses and come on in, Aaron,” Dr. Carmichael said as I turned the car’s engine off. “You can talk to Monica after we all have dinner together.”

“Um, Dr. Carmichael, I think the dinner may be a little extreme right now,” I said as I retrieved the roses from the back seat. “I just wanted to talk with Monica one-on-one.”

“And you can, in my study, but only after dinner. Besides, the dinner table historically has always been a place for great therapy.”

As I walked up the front door with him, I wiped my sweaty forehead. The sweet smell of dinner filled the air as we walked into the house. I was glad he had made the dinner suggestion now. After dinner, I would finally be able to talk to my wife whom I had so desperately waited for.

CHAPTER 24

“Oh, that was so fulfilling, Sebastian, the way you made me come,” said Darlene after she just finished riding him. She lay down on his muscular chest breathing heavy with her legs spread between his waist.

“That’s good for you but I still want to come too,” he said easing his fingertips down her spine.

She pops up and places both hands on his chest looking down into his eyes. Carefully, she balances herself on him so he would remain inside her.

“Why haven’t you come yet?”

“Because I aim to please you first, Darlene”

“Sebastian, you’ve been fucking me all morning and I need to go before Bradley gets home.”

“What time is it?” he asked but really not caring.

She looks over to the night stand next to the bed and reached for her watch. As she did, her perfectly round and full breasts dangled in his face.

“Damn, Sebastian, it’s already six o’clock in the morning,” she said with a slight bit of panic in her voice. “He always gets home by seven.”

“Don’t worry you’ll make it,” he said as his tongue began to caress her nipples.

“You’re turning me on again licking me like that, Sebastian,” she said closing her eyes and tossing her watch away.

“Here is the master plan,” he said after pausing from licking her breasts. “Are you listening?”

“Yes,” she moaned out with her eyes still closed as she began to gyrate on him.

“When you get home take a quick shower, place a robe on, and roll in the bed as if you had slept there all night. Then, run to the kitchen and fix him a simple breakfast like eggs and toast.”

“I understand that’s pretty easy,” she said in a sultry voice with her eyes still closed. “But what if he wants some?”

“Tell him it’s that time of the month for you and enlighten him with a blow job. I guarantee he’ll fall asleep like a baby.”

“You think that will actually work?”

“I promise it will,” he said after he licked her nipples again. “All men fall asleep after they come especially when their bellies are full.”

Sebastian had now placed his fingertips on her back again. Although this time, he slowly moved them down her side until he had a firm grip on her ass. She was already riding him pretty steady by now. He lifted her up by her ass making sure his dick was extending all the way in and out of her.

“Hurry up and come, Sebastian, before I get into trouble.”

“That’s it right there,” he said feeling a sense of pleasure. “I’ll come when I’m ready to.”

“But you’re making my pussy sore.”

Sebastian didn’t care as he gripped her ass harder and pounded deeper into her. Sweat began to permeate through both of their bodies.

“I’m almost there!” he yelled out. “Don’t stop riding me.”

“I won’t, Sebastian,” she said clawing her fingers into his back. As she did she leveraged herself perfectly on him. She was in control now riding him even faster. “Let it go, baby!”

“Ah, here it comes!” he exhaled out.

She slowed down her pace a notch but still rode him so he could fully extract himself. After he eased his grip off her ass she knew he was there.

“I want to see you again later tonight, Superman,” she said lying on his muscular chest again.

“That shouldn’t be a problem,” he said laughing and breathing hard.

“Now, I really have to go because he is going to kill me if I’m not there.”

“Not before you give me a kiss.”

She lifts her head off his chest and obeys his command. Then she springs off his dick, gathers her clothes, finds her watch, and rushes to the bathroom. Within two minutes, she was completely dressed and headed out the front door.

Sebastian stayed up after Darlene left his place and turned on the television to watch a live episode of
Good Morning America.
Before the show came on, he fixed himself a cup of hot tea. The early rays of sunlight beamed through his coverless enormous windows of his loft located on the historic side of the West End district. For the next few minutes, he finished off his tea while sitting in front of the television. Then he made his way to the bathroom where he used a straight razor for his morning shave. He hated having any facial hair so the process of shaving was always quick and easy. A long hot shower washed away any evidence and residue he had just slept with another man’s woman. He decided to put on his charcoal grey suit for the lengthy day that awaited him at Donaldson and Bradshaw.

Driving through the downtown connector on his way to work, he punched the accelerator as his Chevy Camaro zipped past the cars on the interstate. He didn’t mind the long commute or dealing with traffic as it was a pleasure riding in his new car. Although he contemplated on buying a luxury European sedan, he knew now he had made the right selection.

By nine o’clock, he had made it to his destination and parked his high-performance car in his reserved parking spot. As he entered the building, a friendly voice called out to him.

“Good morning, Mr. Carter.”

“Morning to you too, Harold,” Sebastian said in a hurry as Harold was shining a pair of shoes for a customer.

“How about a nice shine on those expensive wingtips you’re wearing?”

“Maybe during my lunch hour I’ll come down and see you,” Sebastian said continuing to walk towards the elevators.

“Okay, Mr. Carter, I’ll be looking out for you,” Harold said with a smile. “Have a good day.”

“You do the same, Harold.”

The next person Sebastian encountered was the friendly and attractive concierge whose desk was next to the elevators. There were a small group of people waiting for the stainless steel doors to open. He decided on making small talk with the concierge while he waited.

“Well, you’re looking quite impressive today,” he said flirting with her.

“Good morning to you as well, Mr. Carter,” she said as if she was bothered by his advances.

“So, have you given any thought about going to dinner with me?”

“You know it’s against my company’s policy to fraternize with workers in the building.”

“Oh, come on now, I won’t tell a soul,” he said leaning on her sleek desk. “Besides, it’s just a harmless dinner encounter.”

“Mr. Carter, I have to follow the rules.”

“But sometimes rules are meant to be broken.”

The elevator’s doors finally opened as the small group of people slowly began to make their way on it. The concierge was relieved as well.

“Looks like your elevator has finally arrived,” she said looking at the people behind Sebastian. “Better hurry before you miss it.”

Sebastian looked back at the elevator and noticed the last person in the small group getting on. Then he turned to her again.

“Yeah, I see,” he said calmly. “Well, think about my proposal, anyway.”

“Okay, I’ll give it some thought.”

Sebastian smoothly moved away from her desk and jumped in the elevator just before the doors closed. He smiled the entire time as the elevator traveled upwards.

Once inside the confinement of Donaldson and Bradshaw, he made his way to his small office. While he traveled there, he stopped at a few of his female colleague’s desk to say hi. Inside his office, he took off his jacket and placed it on the back of his chair at his desk. Then he sat down and looked at the phone in front of him. Before he could pick up the receiver in walks a visitor to his office.

“Sebastian, I was making my routine walk throughout the office this morning and thought I’d stop by.”

“Good morning, Mr. Bradshaw,” said Sebastian quickly standing up in attention as if he was about to salute his boss. “How’s everything going this morning?”

“Just fine, Sebastian,” he said in a stern tone. “And how are things going with you?”

“It couldn’t be any better, sir.”

“That’s great to hear, Sebastian. In any event, meet me in my office in one hour.”

“Do you want to see me regarding the alterations I made to Aaron’s work?”

“Actually, yes, but we can talk more in depth about that in an hour,” said Mr. Bradshaw as he noticed Sebastian was a little nervous. “It’s not that big of a deal but Mr. Black will be joining us too. I’ll see you shortly and don’t be late.”

“Yes sir.”

Mr. Bradshaw turned around and walked out of Sebastian’s office. When he got to the door he paused and remembered he had to ask Sebastian something else.

“Oh, by the way, how is Aaron doing?”

“I haven’t spoken with him lately but I’m sure he is okay,” Sebastian said still standing in attention.

“Well, if you speak to him let him know I asked about him. I’ll probably have my secretary call him in a few days.”

Mr. Bradshaw turned back around and walked away as Sebastian sat down. He refocused his attention to the phone, picked up the receiver, and began dialing. There was a sweet voice on the other end that finally spoke.

“Topaz Consulting Group, how may I direct your call?”

“Yes, I am trying to reach Tiffany Towns, please.”

“Sir, Ms. Towns is not in the office at this moment,” said the same receptionist I had dealt with a few days ago. “Would you like me to transfer you to her voicemail?”
