Ausar
shouted something she was too dazed to understand. His cock seemed to get even

The
world lurched like a broken elevator and Elise found herself lying face-down on
the workroom table, fully dressed, panting heavily. She felt feverish,
raw-skinned, and muscle-sore. She checked her watch—nearly eleven at
night.

It
was a dream, she told herself. But she didn't believe it.

The
shipping manifest still lay on the table, albeit a bit crumpled thanks to her
rolling around on it. Elise counted the crates. Twelve. She counted the number
of crates listed on the manifest. Twelve. No extra crate, no mysterious giant

It was a dream.

Her
shoulder ached more than the rest of her. When had she hurt it? She unbuttoned
