Sheila looks at me. Brandon laughs and signs, 'sister.' “I don't know how to make Mom.” He shrugs. She looks from him to me.

I put my hands up. “I know it's a lot. If you're going to shoot me can you make it a leg or something?” She's not saying anything. “Maybe not in front of the kids.” She starts crying. “Fuck.” I take the step to her and pull her off the bike holding her head to my chest. “I'm sorry baby girl. Deirdre wasn't keeping him. I couldn't let them give him away.” She cries more. Fuck.

“Say something. Anything will work here.” I hold her chin up.

“I love you.”

“Thank fuck. I thought you were going to shoot me.”

“Not today.” She wipes her face.

Stella is pulling on my pants. I lift her up and she kisses Sheila making her laugh. She signs, 'I love you,' and I laugh. She's too fuckin’ cute, but I think that saved my life today so I kiss her cheek. I pull the helmet off her and set her down.

“Come see what the Prospects did.”

“Let me pull my bike in.” She gets her bike in the garage and the kids get theirs in on the side of hers.

I laugh. We'll need a bigger garage. Brandon takes her hand and walks her to his room. I carry Stella behind them.

I set her down knowing who's knocking and get the food from the guard. Setting the plates and silverware I call them for dinner. Brandon comes running with Stella's hand in his. He stays right at her side. He's going to be a good brother. Sheila is behind them smiling.

'He's not mad I shot his father,' she signs.

'Don't think he liked him much. Don't try to take him to McDonald’s.'

She laughs. “Okay.”

We eat and get the kids washed. On the deck they're playing with motorcycles and dolls. Every doll is a jump the motorcycles go over. Sheila thinks it's funny.

Getting the kids in bed is easier than I thought. Brandon watches us get Stella down then climbs in his bed without a word. Sheila sits and tells him she's glad he's here. He looks relieved. Shit, I should have said more for him.

She bends and kisses his head. When she moves I tell him if he needs us he can just call and we'll hear him. He nods and turns over. I kiss his head and tell him he was a good brother today.

Walking out I grab the monitor and Sheila's hand. We set the monitors on the table and I hand her a beer. She sits against me throwing relief. “How did you end up with Brandon?”

I tell her about what Eliza said and asking Deirdre to bring him over. Once it's straight in her head I ask about Strapper. She's got me laughing, but I want to beat his fuckin’ head in myself. I tell her I called about the trailer then Tiny. She's not happy I called Tiny, but it's done and she lets it go.

When there's nothing left to say we sit enjoying the night sounds. When a bike comes or goes I know who's home or leaving. It's nice to just sit. It's been an eventful day.

“You want Danny to make them rooms?”

“He'll show whether we want him to or not. I love all the rooms he’s made, so I'm good with that.” She stands. “Let's go in, it’s chilly out here.”

I stand
and take the monitors with me then drop them on the table and the bottles in the recycle bin. When I start down the hall she's standing in Brandon's doorway. I like the look of that and scrape my foot so she knows I'm behind her. She looks back with a smile. “We need to take the side off the crib before she falls.”

Resting my chin on her head I smile. Fuckin’ kids. Stella is on the floor next to Brandon’s bed. “I'll do it tomorrow, tonight I'll put the mattress on the floor for her.” I get the mattress and carry her blanket and stuffed monkey setting it down by Brandon's bed. Sheila lays Stella on it so gentle then kisses her head. I slide it over and pull Sheila out.

My turn. I get us undressed and walk her over to the bed. I make sure she can see me in the mirror, moving her hair I bite her neck and lick up to her ear. She moans when I bite her lobe holding it in my teeth as I slowly release it. I push her shoulders down and kneel. My favorite position is behind her. I'm glad she’s willing to let me do this, but I move slow until she's moving for me. With her ass at my face I bite just under and get the movement I'm waiting for. I spread her legs and keep my mouth biting and nipping her ass while my fingers slide in. Fuck she's ready. Putting both hands on her ass I trail kisses to her pussy and she arches for me. “Fuckin’ sweet baby girl.” She's rolling her hips with my hands squeezing her ass putting my tongue where she needs it. Fuckin’ sexy as hell. She's off, but I can't stop. When she starts moving again I move away getting a groan and smile.

Pulling her up I sit on the chair. I moved it yesterday so she can see the mirror. I turn her and lift. “Legs on the arms.” She lifts her legs up and I sit her on my lap so she's facing the mirror. “You keep your hands on you. I'll move you.” She moans and I hold my dick sliding her down. Fuck. “Nothing like the feel of your hot, slick pussy sliding down right the fuck there.” I moan with her when she hits my legs. Jesus.

I move her and she's getting louder. She likes this as much as I do and it pushes me to move faster. “Hands baby girl.” She gives a low purring sound and I'm pulling her harder. “Take it Sheila. Put a hand on your pussy and take it baby girl.” Her hand moves and I watch her head go back. “Yeah baby, just like that.” Looking down watching her ass hitting against me, and I'm done. Fuck. “Going harder baby.” I pull her down hard and she's off. I move her until I can't then hold her down deep. “Your pussy stroking me feels so fuckin’ good baby.” I slide her legs off the arms and sit until she comes down. Every fuckin’ way is better. “Love you Sheila.” I kiss her head wrapping my arms around her. She moans for me and I smile.

Chapter Eleven
Three weeks
Jax

I have her cut and the ring. Tonight I'll give them to her and get the fuckin’ Brothers off my back. You'd think we were together for fuckin’ years with the way they nag. I smile. I'm not saying shit, but I can't wait to see my name on her. Every fuckin’ thing she does is better than I thought it would be.

“You want company?” I look over the counter and smile.

“I didn't expect to see you Danny. What brings you down?” We just got rid of Tiny and Nancy again last week. Fuckin’ 'rents haunt me.

“Rooms. Heard there were some kids that sleep on the floor so I thought I'd make them some beds. Fuckin’ parents don't know any better, they’re new at this shit.”

I laugh. Fuckin’ Brothers. “Sheila said you'd show.”

He smiles. “Always liked that girl. What do they like?”

I give him all I know. They don't know characters enough to say they have a favorite, but they like playing with the motorcycles. I tell him about them jumping all the other toys with them and he says he's got it. I give him colors and he walks away. Sweet!

I look at her schedule and smile. She's got an early day with therapy in the morning. I have the dogs with Alex, but I'm out at three. I think about dinner and work that plan into my day. With everyone set, I get to work.

Sheila

I pull my phone before I go in and smile. He hopes it’s a good one. I'm surprised by all the little things he does to make the days good. Texts, calls, little videos of the kids signing to me and at home he always puts me before him. It makes me do little things for him so he sees I appreciate it. Now I know how the Brothers keep their women. Everyone works for it. I can't say I ever thought about it, but looking back I see all those little things and how they matter. I'm smiling when I walk in. I matter.

We talk for a while but it doesn't feel like therapy. She asks about the kids and how they're adjusting then about Jax. I answer everything and she says we're done.

“That went by fast.”

She laughs. “You don't need me anymore Sheila. If you need me, you know how to find me but you're right where you should be. You're thriving and happy. Putting the past behind you has set you free. Now you can go live with your new family and man without anything dragging you down. I wish all my clients had your support. I'll get the paperwork over to Mr. Knight right away.”

“Fuckin’ awesome. Thanks!” I hug her and leave smiling the same way I went in.

I walk into Security with the smile still on my face. “Good day?” Taylor asks walking toward the classrooms.

“The best. I'm done with therapy. She's sending the paper to Prez.”

He hugs me. “Fuckin’ nice. No more dreams?”

I know he hasn't gone for help. “Not a one, Brother, and the flash never happened again. I don't think I was ready to deal until I had a reason to. The timing worked for me. Taking it all out and looking at it made it easier to deal. If you're ready, try it.” Knowing only the little bit he shared with me I can't tell him it's his time to deal. I know I wasn't ready.

“Yeah. I'm happy for you Sheila. I love seeing you without the pain in your eyes.” He walks into a class and I watch him. He's not ready.

I get to mine and smile at Eliza signing, ‘I'm done with therapy’ and she comes running to hug me almost bowling me down. The guys laugh.

“I'm so happy for you! This is a day for celebrating!” She signs she's pregnant. I hug her so damn happy. She was worried and I lost her last baby for her so it worried me too.

I blink my eyes a couple of million times and we start class.
She's pregnant
keeps popping in my head, but we get through it. After class we get a drink in the break room and I try not to watch Darren kiss her. “Enough already! He's going to do you in the closet again and we have more classes.”

He laughs and lets her go. I congratulate him and get the biggest smile. I'm so fuckin’ glad they're together. They fit together perfectly.

I'm surprised when Prez walks in. He has a coffee maker and fridge in his office. He walks to me and pulls me up. “I'm fuckin’ proud of you. You got your life back and you're happier than I've ever seen you.”

I hug him back. “Thanks Prez.”

He looks at Darren. “She's done with therapy. No restrictions Brother.”

Darren smiles signing, 'Fuckin’ nice.'

“Yeah.” I check the time and drag Eliza down to the classroom.

These are the old PD officers. We go through call procedures and I get some eye rolls. I look at Eliza.

“Call for the body cam,” she tells me then looks at the class. “The eye rolling is why you're here.”

I walk out letting her talk and call Ops. Jason will put it up on our board. When I come in the board flashes on. We watch the whole thing right down to Driscoll taking the gun from me without anyone saying a word.

“The first mistake was the officers showing so late. They got the call the same time we did. You saw when they showed and we were farther away. We were their backup. You know what they were doing? They finished eating and stopped for coffee. You know why?” No one answered. “Their body cams showed them saying HS can handle it. A domestic dispute call. Thinking backup was seconds away we went in and got the boy out.”

Eliza moves forward. “Every mistake that could have been made was. An officer died on the scene because the PD decided HS could handle it. We are partnered with you, not the maid service meant to hand you the perps. You roll you're fuckin’ eyes at my partner again, you might as well just get up and walk the fuck out. HS did not die at that scene, one of yours did. Wake the fuck up. You're here because you've shown someone you're fuckin’ lazy.”

I throw her chin. “If you don't pass these classes you lose your job. No one wants to work with you and we won't put our Brothers in jeopardy because you want to play clean-up crew. We have a Clean-up crew and you would
not
make the cut. Anyone wanting out, get the fuck out. If you stay you show us a reason to keep you.”

I look around and see everyone is listening. Not bad. “So, from the beginning, you get a call and what happens?” Everyone raises their hand.

In the market the kids are good. I think this mainly because we see kids screaming and arguing for what they want and I'm fuckin’ glad they aren't mine. Brandon holds Stella's hand walking on the side of me. They watch the crabs in the tank while I'm getting meat to grill. When I'm done I tell them we need veggies. Stella does her little dance making me laugh. We get corn and onions and Brandon brings me applesauce saying they like this one because it's fresh. I put it in the basket and walk them to the register. Brandon watches a little girl yelling at her mom and looks at me. I shake my head letting him know it isn't the way to act. He helps put the food in the bags and takes Stella's hand again. Good fuckin’ brother. The lady tells him he's a good helper and he's proud signing it to Stella. She stomps her feet making little noises. I laugh and hold his hand walking out. I saw Strapper at another register watching, but didn't look at him. Tiny beat the fuck out of him, I'm surprised he's back here so soon. I heard he had a hospital stay up there.

I get the kids and food in and head home. Coming through the gate the guard is smiling. I throw him chin wondering what that's all about. When I turn I see it. “Fuck.”

I leave the truck at the corner and walk the kids and bags through Taylor, Brantley and Jared’s yards. Stella's diaper bag, my laptop, the cut, and the groceries all on my shoulder or in my hands. I feel like a fuckin’ pack mule. Brandon has his little backpack on so that's something. When we get to the house I help Stella up the stairs and walk in. Fuck, there is no fuckin’ way we can stay here. I look up and see the sky. I put everything on the plastic covered couch and pick up Stella. “Hold my loop Brandon.” He grabs my belt loop but he's looking all over the place. “Ready?” He nods looking up at me. “Danny!” I hear a yell and look up at where the ceiling used to be.

His head appears. “I'll come down.” Since I'm seeing the sky from the living room I think this is a great idea. He walks in from the kitchen. That was fuckin’ fast. He smiles. “The back stairs.”

“We didn't have stairs this morning.”

He smiles and tells me to come see the plans. Oh fuck. It was beds. All we needed were beds. “The two rooms were small. You'd never fit more kids with what you had. I called Little Ben and he said do what I have to, so we went up. You'll have three bedrooms, a big bathroom and a bonus room over the garage. Your bedroom down here gets bigger and we'll put in a nice bathroom. It all works out nice.”

“We could have moved to my house.”

“Tiny's in there and says Sheila likes her garden and trees. She has a thing for the yard.”

I nod. “Tiny's in there?” This is not the day for this. I had a plan.

“He came with some Brothers and the kids to help. He's got food going out in the back.”

Fuckin’ great. “Where are we sleeping?” There is no fuckin’ way the kids can make it through all this safely. Tools, wood, pieces of insulation are everywhere and the fuckin’ ceiling is sky.

He looks around. “It did end up being a little bigger than we thought. I have help tomorrow. We'll run straight through and be done in two days.”

That doesn't tell me where we're sleeping. “Every room in my house is filled?”

“Yeah Brother. We have help staying in all the spare rooms there, at Alex's and the Officers.”

I nod and walk away. “Hey did you get a date yet?”

I stop and look at him. Seriously? “That was going to happen tonight.”

He looks surprised. “Sorry Brother. Two more days and we're out.”

I walk back to the couch and put Stella down so I can pick everything up again. We trek back to the truck and I call Darren. “Can you get Sheila off the schedule for two days?” She's on training rotation so he'll get her covered.

I call Jared. “I need someone to cover me for the next two days.” He'll get me covered.

I call Lee. “I need someone to check in with Tim. I'm off for two days starting now.” He'll get Tim covered and he's sorry about the house. He's got Prospects showing for the second shift now.

I call Sheila. “Where are you?”

“Security. I'll be out in twenty.”

“I'll pick you up in forty. Before you leave there look at the house. Don't react, don't call anyone, just look.”

“Okay.” She sounds happy so I'll go with it.

“I'll be there in forty, Lucky.”

She laughs. “Not going to do it.”

I drive us to the store and grab clothes and a screen tent. At the back of the garage I unload everything into the RV and drive us to Security. She's laughing when she sees it. She climbs in the door and kisses the kids. “I didn't know you still had this.” She kisses me and sits. “What the hell happened to the house?”

Seeing her in the passenger seat hits me hard. It’s where I wanted her to be when I took Nomad. “Danny thought the rooms were too small for more kids so Prez told him to do what he needs to. Spare rooms everywhere are now spoken for and my house is filled with Tiny, the kids and workers. We're covered for the next two days so we're out until this fuckin’ circus is done.”

She laughs. I look at her then back at the road. “I love it. Thanks for saving me from the crazy MC.”

She goes in the back and sits with the kids. I had a movie going for them hoping to keep them busy until we get to the lake. She's just sitting back down when I'm turning into a shopping center. “I got shit before we left but you'll need clothes for two days. The kids are done. I'll get the food.”

She nods and takes Stella with her while I go to the next store and get food with Brandon. We're putting it away when she walks in the door. “Perfect timing.” I kiss her and get the kids belted in with some fruit. We have a good twenty-minute ride then some set up time before dinner. Everyone is excited and happy, making me happy. My girl will get her cut and ring tonight just like I planned. Well almost.
