“Yup.”

They went to sit with Bryan and Heather. “Oh, you got us food too?” Bryan asked. Pamela’s face fell.

“Huh?” she asked stupidly. “No. I’m just hungry. Sorry.”

Bryan rolled his eyes and took Heather’s hand. Pamela felt a little pang of jealousy as she let them through. She hated to watch Bryan being affectionate to his wife now that she had had him. Watching him as if nothing had ever happened killed her inside.

Her parents showed up just before Jada’s team went. “Did we miss her?” Jonta asked.

“She’s next,” Heather informed him.

“Good. We’re not horrible godparents,” Carmella joked, sitting.

Pamela had showered and was in her room dancing to Crush by David Archuleta. Not so much dancing as just moving her hips side-to-side, whipping her hair, singing her heart out, playing her air guitar.

She finally noticed Bryan standing in her door, an amused smirk on his handsome face. “You really are something,” he told her.

She hopped off the bed and went to him, smiling. “Shouldn’t you be home, old man, instead of here, creeping on me?”

“Oh, now it’s creepy?” he asked, his tone mocking, his brow lifted. She smiled.

“You’re older than my father.”

“By a week.”

She just shrugged. “Okay, Pamela. If that’s the way you want to act, I guess I’ll just return home to my cold, lonely bed.”

Pamela noted the implication behind his words. Heather was somewhere else, and she didn’t want Bryan to leave. “No, don’t go,” she said, taking his hand and pulling him back to her.

“Why should I stay?” he challenged. She smiled, rubbing up against him, pulling his face down to hers, kissing his lips softly, caressing his arms, her right hand trailing to his chest and down. She massaged his dick to hard and looked up at him.

“I’ll make it worth your time,” she promised, rubbing the nape of his neck with her left hand. He closed his eyes. Pamela didn’t know what she was doing, yet, she seemed to know exactly what she was doing. “Stay.”

He lifted her up, and she wrapped her legs around his waist, kissing him, her lips opening to invite his tongue in.

He palmed her ass, carrying her to her bedroom. “Am I old?” he asked. She shook her head no. “You better not call me old again. You won’t be getting no old dick.”

She just giggled, as if she thought he was joking. He kissed her neck, pulling her panties down, sliding a finger into her already warm, already soaked canal. Shit she got hot fast! Turning her on was no work at all.

“Mmm,” she moaned, pulling his face closer, her breathing becoming quick. He stopped and pulled her t-shirt, one she had stolen from him, off of her and massaged her nipples, causing them to stand erect. He kissed her stomach, and he stopped just inches above her pussy. She pouted. Always with the teasing.

“Pamela?”

“Hmmm?” she whined.

“I can’t spend the night.”

That disappointed her. What a time. She closed her legs. If he wasn’t staying, he wasn’t laying either. He came up and kissed her lips softly. “Don’t be like that,” he whispered. She turned her back on him, and he kissed her neck. “I would stay if I could,” he told her.

“Why can’t you?” she asked, tears threatening as her throat lumped up.

“Because my daughter lives with me, and how would it look if I didn’t show up home? The day my wife leaves at that.”

“Get out. Just go home,” she snapped, pulling out of his arms.

Bryan had no such intentions. He moved closer to her body and pulled her tighter into his arms so that they were back to chest with no room and she struggled against his arms. She often forgot he was the stronger of them. “Pamela, it’s not—”

            “Let go!” she shrieked.

“Pamela—”

“Let me go, let me go!” She struggled and struggled in vain to be free. “I hate you.”

Bryan let her go, and she pulled her clothes back on, pointing to the door. Hearing her say that she hated him really hurt his heart more than she could ever imagine it did.

“Get out. Just get the fuck out,” she snapped. “I don’t care. I don’t want to hear it.”

“I’m not leaving.”

“Yes you are.”

“I pay for this condo. It’s mine,” he said simply.

“If you gonna throw that in my face, you can stay here alone. Stay then. I’ll leave.”

She started for her closet, and he got up, restraining her. “Can’t you just relax, Pamela? If I could stay, I would.”

“Why are you so worried about Jada? You’re her father, not the other way around. If you stay out until dawn, that’s your business. Not hers!”

She was full on crying now, and Bryan wiped her eyes. Chances were, Jada was asleep. She had likely been asleep when he left.

“I’ll stay,” he whispered, and he kissed her, feeling her relax into him.

He took her back to bed and he skipped the oral, going straight for penetration, slowly making love to her, watching her features contort in pleasure, listening to her soft moans. This was comfortable, cozy sex; and she liked this. But she wanted to get back to crazy, wild, passionate fucking. After tonight, at least. Because this, this was nice.

He watched her fall asleep and took a short nap. He woke up at one and untangled himself from her, pulling on his clothes, and he went home.

The house was completely silent as he snuck to his room and showered before climbing into his bed.

Around seven, Jada knocked on the door. “Daddy,” she called in.

“What?” he groaned, groggily. He couldn’t hear what she was saying, her voice was muffled. “Open the door, Jae.”

She came into the room. “I’m going to practice now.”

Bryan looked at his clock. “Have fun with that.”

“Bye, Daddy.” She kissed his cheek and left the room. “Oh yeah, I’m gonna be opening the shop for Ma until she comes home.”

“I know.”

Bryan got out of bed and brushed his teeth. He waited for Jada to leave before he drove back to Pamela’s place. She was still asleep, but as soon as he got into her bed, she woke up. “Don’t touch me,” she mumbled. “You lied.”

“Pamela—”

“You said you would stay, and you left. You lied.”

She got out of bed and went to shower. He couldn’t touch her.

After her shower, she dressed for work, wearing the blouse from the day before, pulling on a pair of high-waist, navy trousers. She tucked the shirt in and went to make a simple breakfast. Bryan was trying to speak to her, but this resulted in her just turning on her earphones and ignoring him. She did give him food, though, and after she ate, she went and pulled on a pair of flats, making her way to her car.

She knew what her mother would say about her carbon footprint, but she didn’t care. She was not riding in the same car as that man.

He showed up not even a full minute after she had. “If it’s not professional, don’t speak to me,” she told him.

“Pamela—”

She could tell by his tone that it wasn’t work related, so she made her way into the building, bumping into a young man. “I’m so sorry.”

She was always bumping into someone. Damn, she was clumsy.

She helped him pick up the papers she’d knocked out of his hand. “Oh, God, I am so clumsy,” she said to herself. “I’m so sor—”

“It’s okay.” He smiled. She finally looked up at the beautiful specimen of a man.

He seemed around six feet tall, and he had the most piercing blue eyes with full, pink lips, begging to be kissed. He had a strong jaw line, and short, brown hair. It didn’t hurt that he was well-built. It was the first time she had ever been so attracted to someone so young. She could tell he was younger than thirty, but he carried himself like a full-grown man. That was what she was attracted to. The maturity. He wore a three-piece suit, and he wore it well. She could see a little stubble on his face from shaving. She never did like a completely clean-shaven face although Marc and Elijah didn’t have beards.

Bryan came in, and Pamela finished helping the guy pick up his papers. “Jordan?” Bryan asked.

Jordan stood and greeted Bryan with a firm handshake. “Good to see you, Mr. Valdez.”

“This is Pamela, my assistant.” He put his hand on the small of her back as he introduced her.

Jordan smiled at her, and she shivered from the desire coursing her veins. “We’ve met,” he said coolly.

“Well, we have work to get to.”

Jordan slipped a card in Pamela’s hand as Bryan led her away and into the elevator. Bryan took it and ripped it up. “What the hell?” she snapped. “He was cute.”

Bryan gave her a look, and she didn’t care. She folded her arms across her chest. When the elevator stopped, she didn’t even look his way. She walked to the office, sat down, got to work, and ignored Bryan when he wasn’t talking about work. Bryan got up and kissed her, pulling her into his arms, feeling her melt into him, her frustration simmering down. He felt through her hair.

The door opened, and there stood Marc. He just stood there, watching them looking like deer caught in headlights.

Nothing was said for a good minute as the three stared and then Marc smirked. “Give me a good reason not to tell my mother,” he challenged.

“She’s in Ecuador caring for your sick abuela,” Bryan told him. “Would you really do that to Heather?”

“I’m not her husband, fucking around with a girl more than half my age. Give me a good reason not to tell her padres,” he said, licking his lips, looking Pamela’s direction.

She rolled her eyes, folding her arms across her chest. “Hell no, I already said I was never fucking you again. That won’t change.”

“Oh, your parents would be so disappointed at the little harlot they raised.”

“Pamela is not up for barter. I’ll give you anything else you want,” Bryan told him.

“Let me go home and think about this for a second.”

Marc left the office, laughing, and Pamela glared at Bryan. “This is your fault, you idiot.”

Breathe Again

Pamela had not spoken to Bryan since Marc caught them kissing. She called off work and changed the locks on her door. This had been going on four days. Finally, her mother came to see what was wrong with her. “Are you sick, cariña?” she asked, feeling her forehead and her neck. “You have a fever. Lie down.”

Carmella pulled a thermometer out her purse, and Pamela sat up. “Lie down, child.”

“Did you just pull that out of your purse? Really?”

Carmella ignored her daughter. “Open your mouth.”

Pamela opened her mouth and Carmella stuck the thermometer under her tongue. When she took it out, her eyes widened. “Pamela, really, are you having sex?”

“Why do you keep asking that?” She rolled her eyes.

“Girl, this is pregnant woman temperature.”

“So? I’m sick.”

Carmella looked at Pamela for a little while. Bryan stopped by when he got off work. He knocked, in hopes Pamela might actually open up this time. His surprise when her mother did. “Oh, Bryan.”

“Hey, Carmella. Is Pamela okay? She’s been out all week. Thought I should check on her.”

“She’s coming down with something. Hey, I really have to get back to the boutique. Could you look after her?”

“It’s no problem.”

“You’re a life saver. Thank you, Bry.”

Carmella kissed his cheek and headed to her car. Bryan closed and locked the door, and when he stepped foot in Pamela’s room, she pulled her head under the cover and turned her back on him. “Get out.”

“No.”

“I’m going to call the police.”

“And they’ll ask for the lease. Which has the both of our names on it. I play the game better, Mela. This, I can guarantee.”

“What do you want?”

“I wanted to see you.”

He sat on her bed and she moved to the very edge, nearly falling out. “Pamela, I love you.”

“You’re stupid, and I hate you. Why don’t you just leave me alone, okay?”

“Because you’re my woman.”

Pamela knew it was weakness on her part, but she came out from under the cover. “Do you mean it?” she asked. He nodded and kissed her. She put her arms around him and held tightly to him.

She sneezed. He backed up. “You really are sick,” he noticed, taking a Kleenex from her nightstand and wiping the snot away before going to her bathroom to wash it off with hot water. He could hear Pamela in her room sneezing up a storm.

“I’m not sick. I’m allergic to something,” she called. “It’s probably dust. The people above me… Holy cow.”

Bryan turned the water off. “Whatever you say, Pamela. Just keep your little germs to yourself.”

“Get out then.” She rolled her eyes.

“Why you wanna be so mean all of a sudden?”

She gave him a look, deciding maybe it was a bad idea to have just kissed him, because now he was beginning to act just like the young guys she didn’t like.
