Which would be a shame because it had been a very,
very
good kiss.

At the requisite time, he got in his car and drove back to the charming little town, this time paying more attention as he went. There wasn’t much to see of the place, just shops lining the roads and what appeared to be a park in the middle of it all, but it all had the atmosphere of a close knit community.

As he drove, he could see people greeting each other, talking to each other as they went about their days, carrying bags of groceries or flowers or books. It was like something out of a movie, and Alexei shook his head.

He’d never experienced anything like it.

He passed the tavern and then kept driving, finding the mechanic and body shop right where Emma had said it would be. Judging by the dented car that was right out front, Emma was already there, and Alexei parked in the lot and walked over to the car, grinning when he saw her get out.

She was lovely, as always it seemed. Her hair was pulled up into a ponytail, and she was dressed for the unseasonably warm day in shorts and a t-shirt. When she saw him, she glanced up at his face and then looked away, putting her cellphone in her pocket and seeming to take a deep breath before she looked back at him.

Oh, yes. She had definitely been affected by their kiss, then. He wondered if she’d thought about it all night. If she too had been so roused by the memory that she’d had to get herself off before she went to sleep.

He hoped she had because he liked having an effect.

“Good afternoon,” he said to her with a smile. “How are you?”

“Fine,” she replied, voice low and snappish. “You’re late.”

“By two minutes, if that,” Alexei protested. “You sound like you’re not happy to see me.”

Emma rolled her eyes. “Maybe I’m not. Can we just get this over with? I have other things to do today.”

Alexei bowed at the waist and gestured for her to precede him into the shop. “After you. This is your show, I’m just here to pay for the damages.”

She glared at him and then turned and marched into the auto shop. Alexei had to work not to laugh out loud as he followed her. He was under her skin, alright. She hadn’t even been this upset with him when he’d crashed into her car. This was definitely her avoiding thinking about the night before and how it had affected her, which he was now sure it had.

“It’s right out front,” she was saying to a tall, portly man. “The back is all smashed up, so I don’t know if anything’s wrong with it other than that. I’ve been driving it all week, and I haven’t noticed any real problems.”

“Well, we’ll have a look, Em,” the man said. “Give you the fairest price, of course.”

She smirked at that. “Oh, don’t worry about it, Billy. I’m not paying for it.”

“Insurance covering it, then?”

Emma shook her head and gestured to Alexei. “Nope. Billy Tate, meet Alexei Alexandrov, the moron who crashed a Porsche into my car. He’ll be handling the payment.”

Billy turned to look at him with wide eyes. “That’s no way to treat a Porsche, son,” he said, and Alexei sighed.

“Yes, I know. It wasn’t intentional, I swear. But as she said, I’ll be paying for the repairs, and money isn’t really an issue, so don’t undersell yourself. Whatever needs to be done, I’ll handle it.”

Billy arched an eyebrow at him and then looked back at Emma who was rolling her eyes. “Right,” he said slowly. “Well. We’ll just bring her in, then.” He accepted the keys from Emma and then headed out, presumably to get the car.

“Why do I get the feeling I said something wrong?” Alexei wanted to know.

“Because you’re you,” Emma replied. “Look, I appreciate you coming through and paying for this, but you don’t have to...broadcast the fact that you have money. Anyone can see that just by looking at you. It’s not going to make people around here like you any more.”

Alexei frowned. “I wasn’t bragging,” he said. “I was just making sure that he knew he didn’t have to cut any corners to make it affordable.”

Emma laughed and shook her head. “Yeah, I know that. But Billy wouldn’t have cut any corners anyway. He would have just charged me less. That’s how things are around here.”

“Hm,” he said, mouth twisted. “I’ve never experienced anything like that before. Usually if you can’t pay, you get worse quality service.”

“Well, not here. People here try to help each other out. So you don’t have to start waving your credit card around to get people to respect you or whatever. They’ll respect you more if you don’t, actually.”

“That’s...so different from what I’m used to,” Alexei admitted. “This is a very strange place.”

To his surprise, Emma was smiling at him. “I know. That’s why I love it.”

It really was a completely different experience, and Alexei was quiet, watching as Billy drove the car into his shop and waved over another man to help him go over it. It took nearly an hour for them to finish, and the two of them sat in chairs in the air conditioned part of the shop, waiting to find out the verdict on the car.

For the most part he just observed. Watching as people came in and chatted with Emma and each other. Everyone seemed to know each other, and if they didn’t, there were introductions. Emma never introduced him, but she glanced over occasionally as if checking to see if he wanted her to.

When Billy came back and said that it was going to be a while before they were even close to being done, Alexei looked up. “Shall we get something to eat?” he suggested.

Emma hesitated for a moment and then nodded. “Sure. There’s no place around here that’s going to serve caviar or whatever it is that you rich Russians eat,” she said, but there was a smile playing around her lips that made him think she was teasing.

“I think I’ll survive,” he said, amused.

She suggested a restaurant nearby that served excellent pasta, and Alexei drove them there, and the two of them had a very nice lunch. And of course ‘very nice’ in this case meant that they spent the whole time bickering and teasing each other. But something about the atmosphere of it had changed. He could tell that she wasn’t as annoyed with him as she was trying to seem, and he wondered again if it was the kiss that had done it.

Judging from the way she kept glancing at his mouth, he was willing to bet it had.

They had undeniable chemistry, and he could feel that the tension between them was growing by the second.

Personally he was looking forward to seeing how it was going to snap.

He didn’t have long to wait. As they were leaving the restaurant, where Alexei hadn’t made a fuss about her paying, he saw her seem to make a decision. Before he knew it, he was being pushed against his car by a very determined Emma.

“What’s this?” he asked with a smirk.

“Oh, hush. Look. This doesn’t mean I like you.”

Before he could retort, she was on her toes, hands pressed to his chest as she kissed him tentatively.

Alexei was certainly not going to complain about it, and he smiled against her lips.

“I think you do like me,” he murmured against her mouth, and she growled.

“Maybe I don’t care what you think,” she replied. “Get in the car.”

“What?”

“Get. In. The. Car,” Emma said. “I’m not doing this where everyone can see me. I’ll never hear the end of it.”

He blinked in confusion, but did as he was told, getting behind the wheel of the car and pushing the seat back for good measure. Whatever it was that she wanted to do was clearly something he was interested in. After she had glanced around, Emma followed, getting in his lap and then closing the door with a firm snap.

The car wasn’t spacious by any means, but Alexei was glad that he hadn’t brought the Porsche because they never would have been able to do this in that tiny car.

As it was, there was enough space for Emma to get in his lap, legs tucked under her to either side of his hips. Her head didn’t hit the roof of the car, but that was more about her short size than the space in the car.

Alexei’s hands went to her hips automatically, and he dug his fingers in, relishing the slight gasp that was the response.

“What are you doing?” he asked her, voice husky.

“Shut up,” she replied. “Just. Shut up.” And then she was kissing him, and he had to obey the order. Her mouth was warm and sweet, and Alexei groaned, his own lips getting in on the action as they moved with hers. He hummed under his breath and used his grip on her hips to pull her closer, dragging her to him and deepening the kiss.

They fit together so well, despite their height disparity, and Alexei found that he liked it more than he had been anticipating.

When he needed to breathe, he kissed from her mouth to her neck, lips sliding over soft, warm skin. Her soft noises of enjoyment made him bold, and he lightly scraped his teeth over her pulse point, enjoying the way she shivered against him.

“How far do you want to take this?” he murmured against the skin of her neck, not wanting to push too far, but needing to know if he was going to have to stop soon before he got too worked up.

Emma pulled back so that he could see the dark flush on her face and how hooded and heated her eyes were.

“Do you know what I did last night?” she asked, voice soft in the space of the car.

“No,” he said. “Tell me.”

She swallowed hard and rolled her hips forward, grinning when he moaned for her. “I laid in my bed and tried not to think about you. About how you kissed me. But I had to think about it because it was so
good.
And then I came twice thinking about you and me like this.”

“About us in my car?” Alexei asked, and he knew he sounded somewhat breathless.

“No, just about us in general. I imagined what it would be like to have your hands on me. Your mouth on me. To have you in me.”

He groaned at that because he’d been thinking about the same thing, and he still wanted to know what it would be like. He still wanted to kiss her all over and make her make lovely sounds for him. The car wasn’t big enough for any of that, and he wasn’t going to push his luck by suggesting they spend the rest of the time they had to wait for the car to be ready sleeping together at her place, so he just grinned and decided that this would be a very good exercise in taking what he could get.

“I can make that happen,” he said, and he leaned in to kiss her again, this time not going slow at all. No, this time he laid his claim, kissing her hard and passionately, nipping at her bottom lip and then pushing his tongue into her mouth when she gasped softly for him. It was such a pretty sound, and his cock jumped where it was trapped under her, already hard.

He mapped every corner of her mouth with his tongue and then coaxed hers to tangle and twine with his, the heat and desire building between the two of them with every second that passed.

One hand wound its way into her ponytail, and the other slipped under her shirt, touching the soft skin of her side, her stomach, and then up to her chest. He pushed her bra up and over the full bounty of her breasts, moaning into the kiss as he groped first one and then the other.

It seemed to be something Emma was enjoying because she arched her chest, pressing her breast into his palm, and he could feel the bud of her nipple as it hardened against his hand.

“Do you like that?” he asked, breaking off from the kiss to breathe. “Do you want more?”

She nodded and licked her lips slowly, a sight that went straight to his dick. “Please.”

He wasn’t going to make her beg. Not when he wanted it just as much as she did. Alexei pinched her nipple between his thumb and forefinger, watching her expression as he twisted it slightly. When her mouth dropped open and she rocked in his lap, he figured that meant that she was enjoying it.

Alexei grinned and decided to test his theory, using his hand in her hair to pull her head back sharply, exposing the lovely column of her neck and all that brown skin.

Emma moaned loudly, shaking just a bit. “
God
,” he panted, pulling against his hold just a bit, just enough that he tightened his fingers both in her hair and around her nipple. The sound she made then was more like a sob than a moan, but from the dazed look in her eye, it was all pleasure.

“Alexei,” she said, voice breaking just a bit. “
Please.

And god, the way she made his name sound when she was desperate and horny was amazing. “What do you want?” he asked her.

“Touch me.”

He could have argued that he was touching her, but he didn’t. Instead he let go of her nipple and slid his hand back down until it was resting between her legs.

She practically humped his hand, head still forced back while she bucked her hips, rubbing herself against his palm.

It registered in his lust clouded mind that she was so wet that she was soaking through her shorts, and his eyes widened at that. “You really want this, don’t you?” he asked. This was different from the woman at the club who had been so eager to sleep with him that she’d taken him to a back room on her break, and it was different from the hooker who had fingered herself in front of him because he was paying for it.
