I mirrored Jude’s words.

He cocked his head with an amused
expression.

“I assure you, you were neither of those
things, and I understand your reaction.”

His smile faded and he continued,

“But you’ll have to get used to it, I’ve
already arranged everything for your friends.”

I opened my mouth to argue. He silenced me
with his thumb over my lips and spoke very slowly.

“I said, you’ll have to get used to it
Clea. Remember, mine.”

Landon brushed his thumb against my lips
and pushed it inside my mouth,

“Suck!” He ordered.

I gawked at him in both confusion and
surprise.

“Don’t let me repeat myself Clea!”

I complied and sucked at his thumb. He
rolled it inside my mouth, he tasted like a mix of salt, and a familiar fragrance
I’d smelled on him.

“Good girl.”

He pulled from my mouth, and put his
finger in his.

“Sweeter than all my favorite desserts.
Can’t wait to feel it wrapped around my cock.”

His words, along with his burning gaze,
electrified me. I fell short of words, and breath. I was mesmerized by him and
longing for him.

“Tell me Clea, have you done that before?”

I flushed scarlet and stared down at his
chest.

Landon gripped me harder, his fingers
invading my skin.

“Answer me!” He ordered.

I immediately shook my head no.

“Good. I’ll be your first.”

He said his tone composed and serious.

“You’re a very arrogant man, Mr. Davis.”

I stated firmly, a little annoyed by his
presumptuousness, but secretly relishing it.

“One more thing for you to get used to.”

He responded wryly.

“Are there any other aspects of you I
should know about? Or should I just make my way back home right now?”

I said sarcastically.

His face sobered and his expression became
unreadable. I was only teasing him, but he seemed affected by my statement.

“Miss Dane, if you’re looking for ways to
convince yourself that I’m no good for you, then don’t look any farther. I know
I’m not.”

I wanted to interrupt him, but he brushed
me off with a scorching look.

“Which is why, I suggest for you to spend
the weekend with me and decide for yourself.”

Landon paused for a moment, then spoke
again.

“If after the weekend, you decide that you
want to call it quits, I’ll let you be and you’ll never have to deal with me
again.”

His words were firm and concise. The
notion of never seeing this man again felt like a knife stab in my stomach.

“But if you choose to carry on with me,
then you’ll have no way out.”

He nodded to confirm his statement,

“You get controlling, arrogant, and possessive.
You get fucked-up and mercurial. You get all aspects known to mankind which
need getting used to, with no way out, ever.”

His words reverberated in my head. He
described himself as a way to explain to me what I’d be dealing with. I
couldn’t understand the restriction; a weekend wasn’t enough for me to know the
man. I needed more time.

“How about a week? Sounds fairer for me to
get to know you.”

He shook his head.

“Two days, two nights Clea. That is my
final offer.”

“What if I want out a week from now?”

He simply shrugged

“No way out before the end of the
relationship.”

I frowned and gave him a confused look

“So what’s with the ‘ever’ if we can
actually end it?”

Landon acquiesced readily.

“Yes, after six months.”

What in the effin’ hell?

“You mean, a relationship with you has
some kind of an expiration date?”

I was astounded by the words coming out of
my mouth.

“I wouldn’t put it that way, no.”

“How would you put it then? Please,
enlighten me Mr. Davis.”

I was askew and bewildered.

“The six months are renewable if agreed on
by both parties. I just think that six months are enough for a couple to go
through all phases before they get bored of each other. I find that, agreeing
on a due date for the end of the relationship is a suitable means to avoid
heartache and disappointment.”

I needed someone to pinch me, or punch me.
I thought I might’ve been hallucinating or living a nightmare. I flew all the
way from Manhattan to visit the man, to be with him, and he was announcing that
whatever we were going to have was doomed to end no matter what.

I wanted to evaporate from the surface of
the globe.

I was destined for failures in any
relationship. The thought saddened me.

“Miss Dane?”

I blinked at him, unsure of the way I felt
about everything he’d said. I had no idea what to do. I wanted him, more than
I’d ever wanted anyone in my life. He was a mystery to me, and I wanted to
unravel him. But I knew I wasn’t cut out for that kind of relationships.

“I’m sorry Mr. Davis. I won’t need a
weekend to decide, the answer is no. I don’t see myself starting something
doomed to end.”

Landon blinked at me in disbelief,

“What do you mean by that? Please
explain.”

“Well, it’s pretty obvious. Would you get
on a plane if you knew it would crash?’

Landon frowned slightly.

“I’ve told you that I’m not made for
relationships, I knew that. I had no expectations coming here to see you.”

I paused.

“Well, I did… But it doesn’t mean that I’m
going to agree to your kind of relations either. Why would I want to get
involved with you, knowing that I’ll lose you in the end?”

I stopped moving to the music, feeling an
ache reaching from my stomach up to my thrumming heart. I was disappointed.

“You wound me Mr. Davis.”

I swallowed the lump in my throat and
spoke again.

“And I must say, that is no way to live
your life. It is well known, that sometimes relationships end, that people end
up heartbroken and disappointed. Most of the time, people aren’t aware that
there was nothing else to gain from their relationship, but they fight, they work
on it and give it their best. We function that way. Some succeed; some survive
while others move on. And that is what makes us human.”

I looked around me searching for
reassuring eyes. I needed my friends.

“Life can be unfair, and unexpected. Look
at us. We were two strangers just two weeks ago, on another continent, and now,
we’re dancing and discussing a relationship with an expiration date. I could be
your soul mate, or just another fling. Yet, you’re not even willing to try, you
decided that six months would be enough for you to know me, and get bored of
me. I can’t believe I was stupid enough to expect anything else from you.”

He stood there, watching me with a
blistering gaze.

“Are you finished or is there something
else broiling in that head of yours?”

Landon didn’t seem the least affected by
my words; it pissed me off.

“You know what? You’re right.”

I stated.

“There still is something I want to say.”

“Please, go ahead.”

“You think six months are enough for you
to get bored of me?”

I snorted.

“You give me more credit than I deserve.
You see, tonight, I had the first orgasm at the hand of another person other
than myself. I’m almost twenty-two and I have never let a man where you’d been
just an hour ago, nor have I ever tried to do anything intimately. I’ve been
troubled and confused, ever since I’d met you that damned afternoon. I had
given up on any chance to be happy. Yet, here I am, willing to see what this
insanity was about, I went through bigger disappointments than you’d ever
imagine and I was resolved to lead my life with as much control as possible.”

I took a harsh breath,

“I’ll survive you. That is undeniable, but
I’m just tired and overwhelmed by all the deception. I don’t know why I
expected more from you, but I did.”

My last words came out small and hurting.

Landon fixed me with an unreadable
expression. I let out a breath and waited for him to say something, anything.

After a beat, he grabbed me from my arm.

“Come with me.”

He dragged
me through the crowd, without giving me any chance to riposte. People were
staring at us; I looked down, embarrassed and realizing that I might’ve exposed
us, more than necessary. Landon ordered a bouncer to open a door just behind
the bar. We walked through an endless corridor, the music echoing slightly,
then another door and a stairway.

I found myself in a gigantic room, ground
to sealing glass looking down on the crowd on both floors. Beautiful mahogany
flooring, a large desk, and at least twenty screens with live feed from inside
and outside the club. It was pretty neat and soundproofed; we couldn’t hear the
tiniest buzz from outside the office. I turned to Landon to ask him what the
purpose of bringing me there was.

He
bluntly pulled me to him and pushed us across the room. I was stilled, my back
against the cool glass, my thoughts suddenly shattered into a million pieces.
His silence spoke more than I could’ve handled. Something shifted between us; I
saw something I’d never seen before in his eyes. I saw hope. Or maybe it was my
wishful thinking. I just relished what I thought I’d witnessed.

Landon
took a harsh breath in my hair and pulled my earlobe between his teeth, sending
shivers through me. I craved him, his tender touch, and his kisses. I couldn’t
wrap my head around the idea that this man had ever suffered from heartbreak.
It was the only reason I could find for him to live with such a lifestyle. I
brought my hand to the back of his head and pulled him to my hankering mouth.
Landon sealed our lips together in a dance of sweet lushes. His palms glided
all over me. His kisses became more and more possessive. I was holding him,
like holding for dear life. I thought I’d be able to let go, I thought I’d be
dense enough to deny how much I wanted him.

I slid
my hand down his hard shoulders, gripping him, as if I was registering all of
his features. I gathered my courage, brought my hand between us, and slid it
down. I moaned into his mouth, reaching further for his zipper. I had no
experience, or guidance; I just wanted to pleasure him, and myself. He groaned,
deepening our kiss, I didn’t have any previous referencing, as to men’ length.
He was thick and hard. I stroked him, extorting another groan. He licked and
nibbled his way across my jaw and sucked behind my ear. I had no notion of what
had happened to my body at that moment. I trembled, full of lust and hunger for
him. I pulled his belt open and pushed the zipper down, sliding my hand under
his silk boxers.

I
blinked in surprise. Landon was gloriously big. I apprehended my next step,
suddenly anxious. I drifted myself down against the glass and onto my knees,
pulling his boxers along. He tried to pull me back up, breathing erratically.

“No Clea, not now. I don’t know what’s
gotten into me.”

I arched my head back looking at him.

“I want to, please.” I argued hopelessly.

He breathed out.

“I need to, just like you.”

I mirrored his words, and without waiting
any longer, wrapped my mouth around him. I surreptitiously gaped at him from
where I was bent. He was perfect, his eyes softened, watching me intently. I
sucked him, hard. He stiffened.

Landon put his palms against my cheek,
guiding my movement.

I wrap my lips around my teeth and follow
his guidance.

I wrapped my palms around him, squeezed,
and sucked.

“Oh… Clea”

It was an appreciative sound and I sucked
harder, using my tongue.

“Fuck Clea, baby that’s amazing.”

I tried to gape at him, but I didn’t want
to lose any focus on what I was doing. I pushed him deeper, and twirled my
tongue around the tip of his cock. Another groan gave me the confidence I
needed to carry on. I gathered all the information I knew about this from the
internet. Every time I felt him tense, was another boost I relished.

“Jesus Christ…”

Landon brought his hands and held my curls
away in his fist. He started moving rapidly, pushing further, until I could
feel him in the back of my throat. I sucked harder, and swirled endlessly. I
could feel the pressure growing in my groin, I never knew that giving pleasure
could’ve been just as gratifying as getting it. It was an epiphany to me. I
grabbed him possessively. I was determined to pleasure him, I wanted his
pleasure, and in some way, I wanted it to belong to me too.
