“And the fact you’re getting pissed means you are so fuckin’ pussy-whipped.” Throttle laughed and clapped Chas on the back.

Chas shrugged Throttle’s hand away and glared at them. His jaw clenched and his hands formed fists. What he wanted to do more than anything was beat the shit out of both of them.
I’m pissed at them because I know what they’re saying is true. I can’t get Addie out of my mind. She slipped into my life, and now she’s vying for my heart. Fuck.

“I’ll show you what you’re missing, dude.” Axe pushed away from the bar and wandered over to Rosie, who was bent over, wiping one of the tables. Her short-shorts showed off her curved, firm ass.

Chas watched Axe
as he approached Rosie. Women loved Axe’s rugged good looks, and at six-foot-two, he commanded respect. Axe was lean but muscular from working construction. A collection of tattoos decorated his arms, chest, and back, and with his short black hair, dark chocolate eyes, and square jaw, he melted more panties than he could count. A self-proclaimed bastard, Axe had no intention of settling down with any bitch. Love was a word which never graced his soft, full lips. Chas knew Axe thought he was a fool to mess around with Addie and cut off other chicks, but she had cast some sort of spell over him. He was crazy mad for her.

Chas gazed at Axe as he shoved his hand under Rosie’s shorts. Startled, she spun around, her look softening when she recognized Axe. She smiled and looped her arms around his neck. Axe shoved his other hand down her low-cut t-shirt and fondled her breast. Chas took in the scene as he finished his beer.

“Church,” Hawk’s voice boomed.

Chas pushed away from the bar and headed to the meeting room as Axe fell in with Chas’s stride.

“You leavin’ Rosie high and dry?” Chas joked.

“Club business comes first. Anyway, the sluts are always available.”

“Isn’t that the truth,” Chas said, nodding as they went into the meeting room.

Banger discussed general club business such as membership dues, upcoming parties with out-of-state charters and affiliates, and how much money the club fund had. The big topic of discussion was the construction of the club’s newest project—a strip mall over in West Pinewood Springs.

Banger paused to take a sip of beer. “We finally got funding, and we’re ready to break ground on our new construction project. We’re gonna hire an architectural firm in Denver to draw up the plans. Axe, you’re spearheading this project. You’re the best brother to do it since you know a ton of shit about construction, and you studied engineering when you went to college.”

“I didn’t finish it,” Axe interjected.

“Yeah, but you went two years, and that’s a lot longer than most of the brothers, except for Hawk with his degree. You’re good with design, math, and visualizing the end product. You’re the best one to oversee this. Everyone in agreement?”

“Aye!” the shouts rang out. Axe nodded his chin at Banger and at the rest of the members.

“Then it’s settled. You should be thinkin’ bout all this. You’ll be meeting up with the firm next summer, but I want you to have an idea how the project should be.” Banger drew another long sip from his beer. “In other news, I bumped into Dustin at a run in Denver last week, and even though it was strained between us, he seemed like he was okay. Haven’t heard much about him and that piece of shit Shack since we discussed the situation at our last church. That doesn’t mean I trust either of them for one minute, though. Just sayin’ Hawk and Jax are still lookin’ into the situation, but we’re gonna lay low ’til we confirm it. May be nothin’ or it may be somethin’. We’ll see how it plays out.”

After discussing a few more issues, church wrapped up when Banger pounded the gavel on the table. Chas and Jerry exited the room and when they entered the great room, a hickory aroma wafted through the place as the old ladies made dinner for the party later on that night.

“That smells awesome,” Jerry said to Chas.

“Yeah, I didn’t realize how hungry I was until I got a whiff of what the old ladies are cooking. You gonna be here for the party?”

“Fuck yeah. I’m on the prowl for some new pussy. There should be a lot of hoodrats tonight.” Jerry grinned wide.

Chas laughed. He liked Jerry and was glad he’d finally been patched into the club. Jerry had been a prospect with the Insurgents for two years before he received his top and bottom rocker. Jerry had definitely earned it. Being a prospect was a shit job. Prospects were at the beck and call of all members twenty-four seven. A man earned the prospect status either by being a hang-around for a long while, or coming in through a recommendation from a brother or a close friend of one of the brothers. Not all hang-arounds were invited to be prospects. A prospect, or member, couldn’t simply quit, either; the process to cut ties with a person ingrained in the club’s lifestyle could be brutal, and for that reason, very few walked away.

Chas knew Jerry had the hots for Kylie, Banger’s daughter, but even
thinking
of looking at Kylie meant a death wish. No one at all was allowed to think of Kylie as anything other than a little sister. But Chas and Jax had noticed the way Jerry stared at her long, blonde hair and firm, rounded ass. Jerry had been smitten with her since he was a prospect and she was a senior in high school. Chas couldn’t tell if Kylie returned the affection, but he was glad she was away at college that year. He’d hate to see Banger beat the shit out of Jerry, or do something worse, like burn off his Insurgent tattoos then kick him out of the club. He hoped fucking a lot of pussy kept Kylie out of Jerry’s mind.

Chas padded into the kitchen. Doris, Marlene, Sofia, Cherri, and Bernie had large stainless steel pots boiling on the burners, and the smoker was doing its job.

“Hey, ladies. It smells awesome in here,” Chas greeted as he lifted a lid on a pot of beans bubbling on the stove.

“Don’t be openin’ all them pots,” Doris said, pretending to be stern.

Chas laughed. Ever since Banger’s old lady had died about seven years back, Doris had taken her place as head old lady. The newest addition to the growing “old lady clan” was Cherri, Jax’s woman.

After the food was prepared, the old ladies would leave the club. They were not invited to the party. Old ladies attended family events—usually held on Sundays and on all birthdays and holidays—but the regular club parties were reserved for the club whores, the mamas, and the hoodrats. If a member wanted to bring a woman, he could do so, but longtime girlfriends and old ladies were strictly forbidden from attending these parties. The women loved gossip and drama too much, so it was simpler to keep them home so the brothers could party and fuck freely. All antics stayed in the clubhouse, and a brother would never rat on another to his woman. It made life at home a helluva lot calmer.

Chas took out his phone and sent a text to Addie:

Chas:
Club is having party tonight. Want to come for food and fun?

He went out back and made his way across the property to the garage which housed some of the brothers’ bikes needing repairs. Chas had a few Harleys which required his attention. His phone pinged.

Addie:
Sounds like a plan. Love to go. What time?

Chas:
Seven-thirty ok?

Addie:
Perfect.

Chas:
K. Pick you up then.

Addie:
K. Miss you.

Chas stared at the screen, reading it several times. He missed her, too, but whatever it was that consumed him, he didn’t want any part of it. Or did he? Whatever this was with Addie, it was messing with his head in a big way.
I don’t want a girlfriend. I don’t want anything permanent.

Chas:
See you.

He put his phone in his pocket. Was he being a bastard? Yeah, he was and he knew it, but he wasn’t ready to go there all the way with his heart. Axe was right—he was pussy-whipped.

After several hours, Chas sauntered back into the great room, wiped the sweat off his forehead, and ordered a Coors on tap. In one long gulp, he drained his glass then motioned the prospect for another one.

Lola swayed over to him, raking her fingers through his hair as she rubbed her big tits over his chest. Chas held up his hands, stopping her. “Not interested, okay?” Noticing Axe playing pool, he pointed to him. “Go bother Axe. He’s always up for it.”

“You don’t like me anymore? I haven’t had your big dick in me for months. What’s wrong? Don’t like the way I look anymore?” Lola rubbed her hands over her breasts, squeezing them.

“You look fine. Damn fine, but I’m not interested. It’s not you, it’s me.”

From the pool table, Axe yelled out, “He’s got a woman. Get your slut ass over here if you want some cock.”

Lola looked at Chas. She shook her head, then whined, “What’s going on here? All the good guys are being taken. First Hawk, then Jax, and now you? Fuck.”

“I’m still interested, sweet butt. I told you to get your ass over here. My cock needs your mouth,” Axe told her.

She licked her finger then brushed it across Chas’s lips, mouthing, “It’s too bad, baby.” Lola then bounced over to Axe, unzipped his pants, grasped his hard cock, and fell to her knees. Opening her mouth, her pink tongue licked his shaft as Axe settled back against the pool table and closed his eyes.

Chas snorted then left the clubhouse.

When Chas and
Addie entered the great room, many eyes were on them. Addie wore a tight black spandex skirt and an amazing green top which molded over her sumptuous, ample tits, showing off a hint of her creamy cleavage. Chas loved the way the guys eyed his woman. Some held hunger in their gazes, and Chas got off on the fact that he was the only man who would suck, lick and fuck Addie. He pulled her in tighter.

“Want a glass of red wine?” he whispered in her ear.

Addie nodded, her lush hair falling around her face.

Smoothing out her hair, he tucked each side behind her ears, kissing her on her nose. They smiled at each other, warmth and tenderness emanating from Chas. Drinks in hand, with his palm on the small of her back, Chas maneuvered Addie through the labyrinth of people, tables, and chairs until they reached the buffet table. Hickory-smoked beef brisket, hot links, pinto beans, coleslaw, green beans with bacon, and cornbread tantalized the diners.

“Wow, this looks delicious,” Addie said as she started filling up her plate.

“The old ladies cooked all afternoon to prepare this. I tasted some of it before. It’s good.”

“You’ll have to point them out to me. I’d like to thank them.”

“They’re not here. This is a club party, not a family event. Old ladies aren’t invited to these parties.”

Addie put the serving spoon down and turned to look Chas in the eye. “Really? That doesn’t seem fair. They cooked most of the day for a party they can’t come to? Why would they do that?” Her face flushed with indignation.

Chas didn’t know if he should kiss her, hug her, or fuck her for looking so cute and stern. Damn, this woman turned him on like no other he’d ever known.

“See, you’re at a loss of words at this injustice, as well.”

He laughed, tweaking her nose before he kissed it. “You’re too cute. Babe, that’s just the way it is in my world. The old ladies are fine with it. They know they’re the queens, so everything’s cool. There’s no way an old lady would want to be at a party with club whores and sluts. It all works out, you know?”

“Then why am
I
here? Do you view me as a whore or slut?” Anger gleamed in her gaze.

Chas cursed himself for putting his foot in his mouth. With his arm around her, he balanced his dish. “Fuck no, precious.
You
are definitely not a whore or slut. You’re a classy woman, and I didn’t want to be alone at the party. I wanted to share a slice of my life with you. You’re not like anyone here.”

If you were, you’d be out of my system by now. But I want every part of you.

She was stiff under his arm. Chas breathed in her ear, “Come on. Don’t be like that. Let’s have a good time, okay? You’re special to me, and that’s why I brought you tonight. I want my brothers to see you with me.” His teeth grazed her earlobe, and he felt her shiver slightly. “Let’s get a table and eat before the food gets cold.”

Nodding, he led her to a long table outside. The yard was large and a chain-link fence surrounded it. Speakers installed under the eaves of the clubhouse roof and garage thumped hard rock music. Flames shot up and curled in the massive fire pit, and heating lamps circled the area. Sliding Addie next to him on a long wooden bench, Chas glared at Axe and Throttle’s smirks.

“Who’s this pretty woman?” Axe asked, amusement dancing in his dark brown eyes.

“Fucking back off, asshole,” Chas growled.

Addie grabbed Chas’s hand, massaging it. The movement cooled his fire a bit.

“My name is Addie,” she said, extending her hand.

Axe glanced at her hand, and with raised eyebrows, he burst out laughing.

Chas leapt up, knocking over his plate, and grabbed Axe by his t-shirt. Axe’s nostrils flared as he shoved Chas’s hands off him.
