Fallon nearly dropped the phone. “You do know these phones are recorded, right?”
Jane laughed. “Do you really think I’d call you one of the regular lines? I’m using that old blue phone. You know, the one that used to get the old CB calls on. She sighed and collapsed back on the bed. That memory was like a dream to her, and she sometimes wondered if it’d ever truly happened.
