I’m fine Thai it’s just that I feel like I’m floating on cloud nine, my heart feels as if it may explode. I’m so happy right now I can’t even explain the joy that I feel.” Ru said a grin.

Oh I think I know how you feel this was a profound experience for me as well. I’ve never felt this strongly about a woman before. It’s like you have me under a spell and the funny thing is I don’t think I ever want to be free of it.” Thai said as if he was confused by his own emotion.

Ru grinned up at him. “Well it’s good to hear you say that because as of tonight you belong to me now? I know you didn’t think that I was just going to give you something that I’d been saving all my adult life. I didn’t just give you my virginity I gave you all of me including my heart.”

Well I think you should know that I didn’t just accept your virginity I’d already decided that every inch of you would be mine especially your heart.” He said with a smile.

That’s a relief I thought I was going to have to kidnap you and hold you hostage until you agreed to be my man.” She teased.

No sweetheart I’ll gladly agree to be your man. Now when is this tour of yours going to be over?” He asked curiously.

This was the last stop on my tour that’s why my grandfather arranged the meeting for now. So I’m all yours I just need to tie-up some loose ends. Most of my equipment and wardrobe will be shipped overseas I guess that’s why granddad wanted my tour to end here.” She said.

Yeah we’ll track your equipment from here to see where it ends up and have someone waiting for whoever comes to pick up the smuggled goods.” Thai informed her of their plan to catch the people responsible for using her tour to smuggle goods.

Well that’s good to know so with that taken care of. What’s next for us where do we go from here?” She asked a bit unsure about their future together.

“
Well I don’t plan on letting you out of my sight anytime soon so I hope you don’t mind having a shadow for awhile?” Thai said.

“
As long as you’re the one doing the shadowing, I don’t mind one bit.” She replied with a smile.

“
Good, as for now I think another session of explosive love making is just what we need to celebrate.” Thai said as he lowered his head to take her mouth in a mind-blowing kiss before slowly making love to her.

Chapter Eight

It was long past two a.m. when Alex and Lex finally made it to the police station in Augusta.
Once the desk officer verified their identities he had someone escort them to the prisoner they were there to question. Within a few seconds of them walking into the room the man was spilling his guts about everything he knew. He told them about how he’d been hired to break into Dr. Jennings home to find classified medical records. The person that had hired him told him to destroy the place so that it would look like just a regular burglary.

Fortunately for them Akiva’s contract mandated that she had to keep all of her medical records under lock and key at an undisclosed federal building. However it was unfortunate for the man they were questioning because since he wasn’t able to do what he’d been hired to do they were trying to kill him.

That was the reason he for him spilling his guts about everything including telling them what he knew about the smuggling ring as well as the organized crime members that were involved. He needed their protection without it he’d be dead in no time flat. But just in case they video recorded his statement and emailed it to the Five Nations office, so that Kenji would have a copy right away. Since the man had named a couple of government agents they didn’t want to take a chance that something would happen to the file.

After they were finished at the police station and once they’d checked in with Ken and Kat they headed over to pick up their room keys. When they spoke with the person at the front desk they learned that there was only one room available. They were completely booked because of a sales convention.

“
We have two options we can either head back to Atlanta or we can be adults about it and share a room. I’ll leave the decision totally up to you whatever you decide I’ll be fine with.” Alex said as he held the pass-key to the one and only available room.

Lex thought about it for a minute maybe fate was trying to tell her something. If she chose to go back now she may never know what could have been. Nevertheless what would happen if she chose for them to stay? She wasn’t sure the only thing that she was sure of was that she needed to find out.

Lex smiled up at him. “Are you trying to get out of the promise you made to show me some fun? Because if you are you can forget it we’re staying now let’s go find our room.” She said as she turned for the elevator.

Alex smiled pleased with the choice she’d made. “Yes ma’am, I’m right behind you.”

Thankfully Lex had brought some of the clothes that Kat and Cam had purchased for her earlier that day and Alex always kept on overnight bag in his car. By the time they’d both showered and changed they were starving so they ordered room service.

When they were finished eating neither of them was ready to go to bed even though they should have both been bone tired, so they moved to the sitting area. They talked for well over an hour until they realized that it was five o’clock in the morning.

“
We should probably get some sleep huh?” Alex said the statement into the form of a question.
