I manage to get a hold of Eddy later that
afternoon and he agrees to meet us at a coffee shop outside of
Bostwick.

“You ready?” I ask Wolf as he is typing
something on the computer.

“Yup, called Shay, she is fine with Zoey.
Said something about you being a worry wart and that dinner will be
ready when we get home.”

“Think she was talking about you, dipshit,” I
joke back. But even as I say that, I know I’m the same way. Even
though it’s been a short time of knowing her, I have this sense of
protection for her. Maybe it is because no one ever looked out for
her, maybe it was being woken up with a raging hard-on thinking
about her wet and soapy from the shower. Either way I’m not letting
her go, for now.

Since Wolf drove his truck and my Jeep is
still at the apartment, I’m stuck playing bitch. Pulling into the
coffee shop at a small roadside rest stop, it’s easy to spot Eddy.
I sit next to him on the left and Wolf on the right.

“Hawk, Wolf, good to see you both. So what’s
this job you have for me?”

“I need you to keep this on the down low,” I
quickly respond.

“Sounds easy, what’s the case?”

“Stalking,” Wolf chimes in.

“Okay, it’s normally cut and dry. Perverts
are easy to catch. Why me?”

“Because you can blend in,” states Wolf. Damn
that man is going to make it sound like a mission to take out the
drug cartel.

“Listen, the stalker is from your town. His
target was just run out of town by burning her granny’s house.”

“Shit, you mean the Thornburg’s place. Heard
about that. Wait, I think I heard about this. The chick, what’s her
name Chloe—”

“Zoey. Yeah we have her, but no one is gonna
talk to us about shit. And she is very much an outsider. Needless
to say, she can’t go back and Andrew is loved and sheltered
there.”

“Yeah his family owns practically the town
and the sheriff’s office. So they are gonna be no help to ya. The
Zamoras are some nasty people too. If they don’t like you, they
have no issues with running you out of town. They would run for
mayor, but not a one of them have the smarts to actually get the
work done. So they buy their elected official and things just
happen how they want it. Half the town folks don’t like them one
bit, but knowing they could be the next target to have their job
taken away, or gator tags cut, or hell, speeding tickets for going
three over. They don’t stop at nothing, and Andrew is just as bad,
if not worse.

“I remember he use to date this girl in high
school, real pretty, so much better than him, but he said she had
to go out with him or her daddy would be fired as principal. She
ended up moving away after that. And now he’s after Cloe, I mean
Zoey. Damn.

“I’ll look into it and see what I can find.
My little brother is sleeping with his sister, but it’s because she
is hot, and so doesn’t look like a troll like the rest of them. But
you should know, the Zamoras are not people to trust easily, but
they have no clue I know you both, or even Zoey.” Sounds like we
have a plan. I order a pie to go and we leave saying our goodbyes
to Eddy.

Eddy was great at blending in, mainly because
he had such a young looking face, and was still clean cut. Whenever
they needed to get info from someone while in the military, they
would send him in. He looked like a young boy, he could wear the
appropriate garbs and no one would stop him. But he also had a
trusting looking face, or so people and women say. He had kind
eyes, he listened, blah blah blah. Same crap to me, but it worked.
Hopefully between his training in the Corp and with the chicks,
Eddy could get them some real information.

We make it back to the apartment and see
Shaylene’s car sitting in one of the parking spots. I sign to
myself knowing everyone is back, and safe. I don’t know what I am
so concerned about Zoey’s safety more than other victims. She stirs
something deep in me that makes me want to lock her up, preferably
to my bed, and never let her leave. Trying to push away my wayward
thought I look at the clock see it’s five-thirty, so right on time
for dinner. Climbing the stairs, I hear music and laughing and
people singing. What the hell is going on? I turn and look behind
me at Wolf, who just shrugs.

Opening the door wide, I see Shaylene dancing
around in the living room to the most annoying Taylor Swift song
“Shake it off”. But where is Zoey? Looking in the kitchen, I can
feel my mouth drop open. Bending over, reaching into the oven, all
I see is a sexy round ass covered in fitted jeans and the cream
color of her back peeking out as her shirt is raised up. She stands
and again I am at a loss. Her hair had been cut and looks like it
was colored to add some type of shiny blond colors with a small
strip of blue. Her shirt, which I know is new, shows off her tits.
And boy do I want nothing more to than to bury my face between them
and inhale the sweet aroma of her. Finally looking up into her
sweet face, I see a small blush cross her face.

“Um welcome home?” Oh damn, it
is
good
to be home now.

Chapter Eight

Zoey

I don’t know why he is looking at me like a
crazed cat high on catnip. Sure, I look a little different, okay a
lot, but seriously, do I look like a troll or something? While out
we found a great shop that actually had jeans that fit my big ass
without creating a gap in the back, or making a muffin top. I admit
they are a little more on the snug side than I am used to, but they
look great with the boots I have. Oh and my hair has changed. I am
no longer, what was the word Shay said, oh right, I don’t look like
a washed-up-wanna-be cat woman with cobwebs in my vagina. Yeah, I
spit my coffee at that time too. Needless to say, she did an
amazing job. I feel good for the first time in my life. Andrew had
brought me down without me even realizing it. I used to have spunk
like Shay, before I became closed in because I was always looking
over my shoulder.

“Long day at the office, dear?” I finally set
the casserole down on the stove and toss the rolls in the oven to
finish warming up for dinner. I feel braver, it might be from the
two shots we did before they came home too. Either way, I’m not
gonna tell.

“Um yeah, Zoey, you look, umm…”

“Hot, the word you are looking for, dingle
dork, is she looks fucking hot.” I can’t help but giggle at Shay,
who is now setting plates down at the small table. I really don’t
see how we are all going to fit, but I guess it’s a wait and see
type of game today.

“You look nice,” Wolf grumbles and Hawk nods
at me. Seems they got hit by the stupid stick today also. Glad I’m
not the only one.

“Thank you, but you have to thank Shay, she
did all the work.” I smile sweetly at them.

“I sure did, but I found she has a good base
to work with. Speaking of which, I need to take off. I have someone
working with me on another matter.” She winks at me, making me
snort. I know what she’s talking about. She has a booty call, as
she stated earlier that day, waiting for her.

“See ya later, Shay. Thanks for
everything.”

“Right back atcha’, hooker. Be good.” Both
men talk for a second with her while I put the food on the table.
It isn’t much, just a simple chicken casserole and a salad with
rolls we picked up at the small bakery on the way home.

“Looks like quite a spread, I’m gonna wash
and be right back.” Both men take off to the back room and come
back a few minutes later. Which works out in perfect timing for me
since I grab a beer for them and a small glass of wine for me. I
sit and wait for them to finish.

“Looks good,” and before I can say anything
else they dish up their plates. Hawk notices and then my plate is
gone, replaced with what I think is his. I start on my salad and
notice they don’t have any in their bowls.

“Something wrong with the salad?” I ask.

“No, its fine,
cheer
, you see we ain't
used to eating them. But since you cooked, we should.” He sends a
glare to Hawk, who grumbles about rabbit food and makes a small
bowl. We eat in silence for what feels like hours before Hawk
starts to talk. I notice his voice has a whole different tone than
Wolf’s. Hawk has almost a radio voice, soothing, calm, and sexy.
Whereas Wolf’s is deep, growly, and also sexy. Who am I kidding?
Both men ooze sex appeal no matter what they do. Maybe my small
little friend that Shay had bought me in town will come in handy
tonight.

“We came up with a plan. We have someone, who
was born in Bostwick, in town gathering information. He is going to
see what he can come up with and maybe even get us a lead.”

“That’s great. Is he really from there, you
know the town? You’ve seen them and how they, you know, treated
me.” It’s Wolf who growls this time.

“We’re sure. It’s Eddy Maroon. We were
deployed together. He’s on our side.”

Huh, I didn’t take them for military men. By
the look of them both, I thought maybe cops who got mad or maybe
mix martial arts, but not the military. Maybe it’s the hair.

“I know who Eddy is.” He use to go to the
same high school as me, though he was more popular.

“Good. Now all we need is for you to show us
areas Andrew talked about, if you remember any. But we can wait
until tomorrow for that. I don’t think he’s going anywhere for a
while. If he is using the town, most likely he is going to plot how
to get you and that takes time.”

I once again nod. Wanting to switch topics to
something more pleasant, I ask them questions.

“Are your real names Wolf and Hawk?” Hawk
chuckles and Wolf laughs.

“In a way yes. I don’t go by my real name
much. Ever. Since we were kids, we got the nicknames. My real name
is Beauregard LaRue, but I go by Boa with my kin, and Hawk is
really Remy DeBlanc. Can’t get more Louisianan than that. But being
that we used to hunt, still do sometimes, in the swamplands for
gators or whatever we needed for money, we developed new names. My
mom gave us the name, said it fit our animal spirits, so Wolf and
Hawk fit us. And before you ask, no my mom is no longer alive. And
yes, I’m sure I don’t want to talk about it right now.” Huh, I
would have never thought they would actually have real names. I
mean sure, it fits them perfectly, but to hear they have normal
names like me was nice. But my heart breaks hearing about his mom,
and from the look on his face, he loved her a lot. But, I know some
subjects are touchy to people, so I let it go.

“Not what I was expecting,” I chuckle as I
sip my wine, trying to keep the conversation light. The sweet red
wine I picked up today is amazing. I normally drink what’s on sale,
but there is something to say about spending a little more for a
better product. I listen as they both talk about basic training and
how tough it was, and how they met Gunner and Snake, the other
people in their business. I definitely have more respect for them
than I had before.

“So you see,
chéri,
we have done
everything together.” Suddenly the image of being between the two
of them in an animalistic sandwich has me squirming in my seat. My
new panties start to get soaked from my arousal.

“Oh I see. Well you know what they
say—sharing is caring, or some shit like that.”

“We enjoy sharing our toys, doll, and the
toys like it too.” I totally caught their double meaning. I can’t
sit here anymore. Standing up, I grab my plate and take it into the
kitchen rinsing it before I place it in the dishwasher. I can’t
face them right now, not when my horny level went from non-existent
to smoldering. I’m terrified that a single touch might set me off.
It is totally the new toy night for me. But as I think about it, it
would be kinda weird playing with myself in someone else’s bed,
especially when he is one of the people I will be imagining playing
with. Shit, time to think. Hmm, well maybe once they are asleep. I
can pretend to go to bed, read a little and maybe one of the
storybook heroes can come and take their place. Fat chance that
will happen, but a girl can hope, right?

“We can finish cleaning,
chéri
.” I
didn’t even hear Wolf come up behind me until his hands held my
shoulders. “You can soak in the tub, I heard women like that kinda
thing.” And he would be right. Neither of my apartments had a bath
big enough for me, hell even this one didn’t. I swear they make
tubs for sticks or small children. Lord forbid a normal sized woman
actually want to take a bath and relax. But since he was offering I
can use this as the excuse, I need to leave. Plus, I can just sit
and read. I can at least do that part.

“Sure thanks.” I spin and plaster what
hopefully looks like a sweet smile, instead of an
Oh my god I
want you now
smile. He nods and I walk my way around him to see
that Hawk is eating a second helping and almost finished the
casserole. Holy shit, at least know I know food won’t get wasted,
or have leftovers.

“Enjoy your bath.” He nods as he takes
another drink of his beer. I, unfortunately, can’t help but follow
his action. The bottle reaches his lips, which are full, and I can
only imagine what they would feel like on my nipples. Shit, I jump
when he catches me watching him, and the bastard winks.
Fuck
me.

I quickly, well quick for me, make it to the
backroom. The bags sit on a corner where I had placed them. I dig
through one and find the new body wash and grab my Kindle, making
my way to the bathroom. But the closer I get, the more I can see
this might not work. Ignoring my inner fat chick, I start the
water, making sure it’s scalding hot, before I start to strip off
my clothes. I carefully fold them then set them on the sink.
Grabbing the body wash, I make my way to the tub. It won’t be that
bad. I set my Kindle down and put my foot into the hot water. It
feels amazing, and then I lower myself into the tub. Okay, so I do
fit, but just barely. It’s like those luxury tubs where people of
normal size can soak for hours and wash the day away. I can’t lay
down, but I can let my sore feet soak.
