"I hate to break this up. I mean it's hotter than hell and I'd love to go down on both of you, but..." Lacey licked her lips and looked at their bodies to rest her gaze on their cocks which were now hard as could be. "If we're going to get back before Talhrn leaves, we better get moving." She lifted her gaze to meet Isaac’s and her face turned a little pink.

"Be good, Lady Cat. Dan has my permission to beat your butt if you get into trouble." He pulled her into a hug, handing Dan the bag she had. "I mean it. I don't want to have to come to your rescue." He bit down on her neck, and then licked the spot.

"I'll be good and there will be no spanking in public, thank you," she squirmed and right away he knew their little lady wouldn't mind it so much.

"I think you protest too much, but don’t worry, we'll take care of that problem latter. Now go." Isaac swatted her butt and pushed her towards Dan, watching as they exited the building.

As Dan opened the door, he scanned outside before allowing their woman outside. Yes, Dan was going to do fine.

AC/DC played on the stereo as Dan drove them toward the police station, his hands tight on the wheel. "What's wrong, Dan? You're all tense," Lacey leaned over and squeezed his knee.

"It's the first time I've been away from, well you know," he sighed, and took one of her hands in his, squeezing it. "Plus with all the threats around if you were to get hurt while with me..."

"Hey, we're going to do fine. Plus, nothing is going to happen to us. Got to think positive." Lacey looked out the window, watching the city buildings go by. "How are you dealing with all the changes, Dan? Aren't you afraid you'll fail at something? Sometimes I think of all that has changed and how much each of you depend on me, and it scares the living shit out of me. For so long I've been by myself, well you know what I mean." She turned and looked at him.

Stopping at a light, Dan looked at her. "Lady Cat, if you ever need to just talk, I'm here for you. Don't think you are alone here. We are all experiencing something new here, but you’re right, it is scary." Dan turned his attention back to driving. "You know we would do anything for you, don't you, Lacey?" He asked.

"Yes, I know that, but still there is this unknown factor that has me worried," she placed her hand on her stomach. "How can we bring children into this world when there is so much uncertainty? At least when you were born, you had a whole family to surround you, make you feel safe. Will our child have that?" She opened the window and let the cool air hit her in the face as she tried to keep the tears back.

They drove into the police parking lot, neither of them saying anything till Dan parked and turned to her. "Come here, Lacey," he unfastened her belt and scooted her closer to him. "I think every family has an uncertainty to it, but we have to learn to trust each other. Isaac's been trying to install that in me over the past few months. I guess I finally understand what he means. With the four of us, it's going to take all of us to make this family work, but it will work, Lacey. You just have to believe and try. Now come on, let's get this done." He kissed her cheek and opened the door, scanning around them before he would allow her out of the car. Leaning in the back seat, Lacey grabbed the bag and Dan got a handful of her ass.

"Hey," she swatted at his hand but he only laughed and helped her out of the car.

"If you put it in my face, I'm going to touch what is mine, and thank God, you are finally mine, Lady Cat," He took her hand and winked down at her.

As soon as they walked into the police station, people were doing double takes on Dan. As he signed them in, and front desk officer buzzed them in and shook his head. "Welcome back, Dan. We've missed you, bud." The man shook his hand as soon as they stepped in the door. "But damn did you have to grow another foot? Jeez, you'll have the ladies..." he stopped at what he was going to say.

"It's okay, I know the ladies are going to be looking, but that is all they will do. He's mine." Lacey patted Dan's chest.

"Come on Lacey. Nice to see you, Hank." Dan pulled her towards the back of the building and a private elevator. She heard the whistles and catcalls they both got as they stepped into the box. Lacey tried not to laugh, but when she noticed Dan glaring at the men as the elevator door closed, she lost it.

"You are too much, Dan, stop. They weren't touching I'm here with you." She yanked on his shirt until he lowered his head so she could kiss him. "I love you, silly man."

"You better," he grumbled when the door opened and escorted her into his part of the office.

"Wait, where's Sally? She's usually here when we get off the elevator?" Lacey asked, looking at all the desks, but not seeing her friend.

"I don't know. Let me find out what's going on. Maybe she got promoted," Dan said, heading to the last desk where a black man was on the phone. He nodded to the chairs and they both sat down, waiting.

"Sorry about that. We've had to start answering the calls since Sally's not here anymore. Captain is still trying to replace her, but so far nothing," the man said, leaning over and shaking Dan's hand. "God, it's good to see you, even if you look like a giant." The man turned his gaze on her. "Damn, you weren't kidding, Dan. She's a knock out." The detective held out his hand.

"I'm Dan's partner or was, Nick Abraham. It's a pleasure to finally meet you. Dan here has talked about you for years. Now I know why," he said, sitting back down.

"Its nice meeting you too. Where’s Sally? I brought something’s for her kids. Is she in another department?" Lacey said, getting a bad feeling in her gut.

The man shook his head. "I'm afraid she had to quit. She has been admitted into the hospital last week with terminal cancer." The man shook his head. "In a matter of a week. Sally found out she was sick and dying. Her family is devastated as we are. Too bad your kind can't cure cancer."

His words hit like a ton of bricks. The woman wasn't even in her 30’s yet and had been engaged. "Lacey, you okay?" Dan asked, squeezing her hand.

She nodded and looked at Dan's friend. "Do you know what hospital? I'd like to go see her and see if there is anything I can do for her or her boyfriend. He must be sick since they'd just announced their marriage plans."

"She’s at Mercy, but Lacey the jerk left her once he found out she was sick. Kids and all. Her mom is taking care of them." Nick stood. "Come on Dan, I'll take you back. Lacey can sit here while you talk with the captain."

"No, she comes with me. The captain is expecting both of us," Dan said pulling her away from the desk and wrapping his arm around her waist. "We'll go there after I finish up here, I promise,” Dan said and she nodded.

"
We'll meet you there,"
Isaac said.

"
You don't have to, but thank you. She is so sweet and to be alone now..."
Lacey swallowed and smiled at the captain as Dan introduced them.

"
We will be there. I don't know if there is anything I can do, but I'll see,"
Isaac said and cut the connection between them as Lacey sat next to Dan who explained what had happened and how Nick should take his place.

Inside she knew there was nothing they could do for Sally. They couldn't go around changing people; it just wasn't done, but it was going to hurt seeing her friend sick. She'd always been so full of life and so happy.

"You ready?" Dan asked standing.

"Sure. You all done?" Lacey glanced at the clock on the wall and noticed it was already 10:30.

"Yes, I have everything I need to get things started. It was a great pleasure to meet you, Lacey. Keep our man here in line now. If he gives you too much trouble, remember you have a full room of men here that would love to take his place," The captain teased, but Dan didn't like it one bit. He pulled her out of the office while the captain laughed behind them.

She couldn't help smile a little as he rushed her out of the building. "I swear you are never coming back here again," Dan growled, getting into the car after her.

"Dan, come on, please. What are you going to do when we are at the club? We are going back to the club, right?" Lacey asked.

"This is different. I worked with these men." He pulled the seat belt across her and kissed her, hard. "Now let’s go and see how Sally is doing, okay." He kissed the top of her head before starting the car and pulling out of the parking lot.

Chapter Fifteen

As soon as Dan pulled into the parking lot, Lacey saw Isaac talking with Talhrn and Anthony while they waited for her. Dee stood next to Talhrn looking up at her as she got out of the car. "About time. I was getting tired of hearing about the ways they were going to corral us females," Dee said, hugging her tight. "I'm sorry about your friend." Dee stood back into Talhrn's arms.

"Thanks, Dee. I just can't believe she's here. Every time Maya and I saw or talked with her, she was so full of energy," she smiled up at Isaac when he wrapped his arms around her from behind.

"Let's go see your friend. My brother is going to bring Maya here in a few minutes." Isaac led her inside.

After kissing her cheek, Anthony handed her a bottle of orange juice and took the bag she still carried. "Drink the juice. You need to keep up your vitamin C. The baby will drain you fast as it gets bigger."

"Yes dear," she took a sip before looking back at Dee. "Hey, how's it going on their world? Are those bitches giving you any trouble?"

Dee snorted and glared at Talhrn. "I don't know his highness here wouldn't allow me to handle the situation. I kept telling him if he keeps handling all my problems, the people are not going to respect me or listen. They'll think I'm a trophy wife or something," Dee growled.

"You are pregnant and should not be confronting anyone. We are here to help you,
meru,"
Talhrn rubbed his hand over her belly. "Plus, you have two little ones you are already taking care of."

"See what you have to look forward to? They don't let you do anything and get really pissed if they catch you doing something too." Dee rubbed her backside and Lacey couldn't help but snort as she turned to smile at the lady behind the desk.

"Hi, I'm looking for a Sally Whitestone?" Lacey asked, with her group behind her.

"I'm sorry but only three are allowed up there at a time. She is on the ninth floor, room 9012." The lady looked behind her and shook her head. "The others can wait in the waiting room on the 9th floor. That way you can take turns. Take the back elevator up. Once you step out, you'll see the waiting room."

"Thank you, have a nice day," Lacey said and moved towards the elevator, when she heard Maya behind them.

"Wait, I'm here," Maya said coming up next to her before turning to glare at Akaos. "I would have been here sooner, but some ass didn't think I knew when my cycle was over. But I have to admit, there is a plus to be mated to them," Maya nudged her and she shook her head.

"Amen to that. One day of totally embarrassing myself is enough for me," Lacey grumbled, stepping into the elevator waiting for the rest of them to step in, but only Isaac and Talhrn entered. "The others will meet us upstairs," Isaac announced, slipping in behind her. "And you did nothing to embarrass yourself. It's a natural part of your biology. It's nothing to be ashamed of." He kissed the side of her neck as Talhrn pushed the button.

"Exactly, it's not like we can't handle your heat. If anything, we are envied for being matched with such sexual beings as you." Talhrn slipped his arm around Dee and nuzzled her neck. "Can't you tell the way we always have to be touching you? I don't know about Isaac, but Dee, if I could have you attached to me, I would."

Dee snorted and tried to push him away, but he wouldn't budge. She rolled her eyes and they laughed. "Don't worry, Dee, I have a feeling I'm going to be the same." She pointed up at Isaac who had his chin resting on her head.

"Of course we'll be with you. You are the center of your
kith.
When you ladies hurt, we hurt. If in need it's our..." Lacey turned in Isaac's arm and glared at him.

"If you say ‘job’ I'm going to bite you! You're already on my shit list, Egg!!!" Lacey turned to Maya. "Did you know we lay eggs? Maya, Tiger's eat eggs, not have them!" She grumbled as the elevator came to a stop, but not before Maya and Dee burst out laughing.

"You know damn well once your egg is born you'll be Miss Over-protective of it," Maya teased. "Hell, look at how you act when one of us is hurt," Maya said, stepping out of the box and running right smack into Akaos. "Damn it, Akaos, don't do that to me." She slapped his chest when he stopped her from falling backward.

"You know better than to step out before the area has been scanned," Akaos pointed a finger at Maya's face. "You know that earns a punishment," he almost purred, but Maya shook her head.

"You and your punishments. Just admit it. You love playing with my ass," she winked at Lacey and held her hand out to her. "I take it all is clear to her room?" Maya asked, taking hers and Dee's hand.

"Yes, but I'm afraid Randle has been here,
my heart.”
What Akaos had just said stopped the three of them in their tracks and they turned to look at him.

"What? He did this to her, didn't he?" Maya snarled.

"Isaac?" Lacey looked up at him.

"We'll have to see here, but we need you three to explain what is going on. We can't promise anything, but the sooner we check her out, the better. We have warriors coming in now and Dan is calling Nick, informing him about what has happened. Anthony is working with the security staff here, but for now we need you three to stay together, okay?" he asked, but Lacey knew there was no choice.
