“No bra… did you lose it when you regenerated? I wish I could’ve seen that.” He squeezed the tips of her nipples hard and if she had not sent her body into a semi-comatose state she would’ve screamed.
“Maybe next time, huh?” His thin hand moved downward across her belly. When he leaned forward and placed a kiss on her nipple, she wanted to slap him.

“Mistress
…” she called in desperation.

“Asia, what’s wrong?”

“He’s … he’s sucking on my breast, not as a lover might. But like babes do…I am going to be sick.”
She had been prepared for his fingers penetrating her between her legs or in her ass. He had been doing that for years. For the most part it was impersonal and, because he was a quick shooter, over within a few minutes. But this… she was not prepared for him to spend this much time sucking and cooing and making baby sounds.

“I am so sorry.”
Jasmine entered her mind bringing light and colors and tinkling sounds that took her mind off what was happening in the room. Moments later her stomach settled.

“You are so sweet, I wish I could keep you with me,” he said softly. “You would like that, wouldn’t you? I think you always enjoyed the fun we had in debriefing.” When he moved away, she thanked the Goddess for the favor.
“He is done and preparing the shot.”
“Okay. As soon as it enters you, I will destroy it. Do you know how you’re supposed to act?”
“Supposedly I am still drugged.”
“Are you sure we need to take it this far? I promised you no shots.”

Asia bit back a sigh at Jasmine’s hesitancy. As repulsive as the idea of an implant entering her body, she knew this part of the plan was the most important.
“Yes. If he does not take me down below, a lot of people are going to die. I am trusting you to grab the implant. Save it if you can. Destroy it if you cannot. Just don’t allow it to get
to my brain.”

“Okay
.” Warmth filled her from the top of her head to the tips of her toes. In the background the telltale sound of a syringe being filled and the dropping of the container to the tray hit the airwaves.

Asia strengthened her resolve to remain still and more importantly to trust. The first was easier than the second. When the needle point pierced her chest, her body bowed. It was a visceral response and out of her control. She counted to ten as he slowly injected the fluid and implant into her chest. When pulled he pulled it out, fire leapt in her breast.
Struggling to breathe, perspiration poured from her forehead. Her lips went numb and her fingertips tingled.
“Got it.”

“Thank you
.” Asia lay still as Deets stood over her watching as tremors wracked her body.

He touched her arm for a few moments. “Good. Let’s get out of here before this place blows.”
What she had thought was a padded wall was actually a small gurney turned sideways. Deets released the wheels and rolled her through the door. Eyes closed, she concentrated so that she could find this area again, it needed to be researched before it was destroyed. A cool breeze brushed across her face and then the sound of something heavy sliding across the concrete. They remained still until the sound stopped.
After a series of beeps, they moved again. The temperature changed and she could not make out anything other than Deets. Wherever he was taking her was at the end of a long, dark walkway.
“Mistress he is taking me somewhere. I do not know this area of the lab. Can you lock on me?”
“Lock on you?”
“Yes. Can you determine my exact location and tell La Patron?”

“I…I don’t know. Let me ask Silas
.”

She picked up sounds as the air grew cooler. Inhaling she picked up scents. Humans for the most part, two breeds. The odd smelling man’s scent was a distance away.
“Stop, she has to be scanned,” someone said in a commanding voice. They stopped as a human ran a hand held device around her. “That the implant?”
“Yes, it will move through her system and lodge into her brain,” Deets said in a haughty tone.
“How long?” the man asked.
“She’s drugged, that slows everything down. But within twenty-four hours.”
“Will those restraints hold if she wakes before then?”
“Yes.”
“Okay, we’ll load her in the storage area.”
The human rolled her toward the long boat. Her stomach grew queasy. She would help in any way she could, except on water. The closer she moved to the brackish smelling water, the more her stomach rebelled.
“Mistress…help!”

Chapter 12

The moment Silas received Tyrese call for assistance, he jumped up and ran toward the clearing. Everything had been filled except the opening for the men below to exit. “What happened?” he asked Tyrese as he reached below.
“They took Asia. Snatched her out of my hands, damn it.” Silas heard the self-disgust in Tyrese’ voice. “If they took her, it was because they were still able to connect to her in some way. Perhaps the metal in her body or something. Where are you looking?” He sensed Angus trotting behind him as he moved through the damaged areas.
“All the halls, the corridors. Nothing. The wall opened up and she disappeared. I can’t find anything, can’t smell anything.”

“Jasmine, Asia has been taken. Contact her for clues so we can find her
.”

“What? Never mind
.”

He knew what that meant; his mate was upset and wanted answers. “Your mom is contacting her and will tell us something soon.”
“I didn’t think to contact mom, she is going to kill me,” Tyrese said.
Silas did not respond to that remark because Tyrese should have contacted Jasmine. She was the only one who could link with Asia. “Continue your search.” He dismissed Tyrese as he strode down the hall and turned into the room where the residents were congregated. Samuel sat on a bench talking to one of the older women.

“They have been abused
,” Angus said coming to stand next to him. The top of the black wolf’s head reached his elbow. Wide eyed, the residents stared at them.

“Yes, their wolves sense me, but are confused
.” Silas hated what had been done to these wolves and was determined to put an end to this butchery.

“She is in a room somewhere in the lab. Three men are holding her
.” Jasmine’s voice changed and he sensed her anger through their link. “
She is in that damn lab somewhere, Silas. Find her.

He bristled at her command. “
We are looking for her. Did she give you any clues where she is?”

“No. How the hell is she supposed to do that? They have her chained to a damn wall like a fucking animal. You promised –”

“Stop. Do not yell at me as if I am sitting on my ass. We are searching everywhere for her. Now get us some damn clues to help.
” He exhaled as she cut the connection. His bitch had a temper and he wouldn’t have her any other way, but there were times he wished she didn’t direct it at him.

“What will you do with these… the ones who are lost?
Angus asked
.

“It is up to their Alpha. I support his decision.”

“They require special care, I sense their desperation
.”

Silas glanced at the huge, dark as midnight animal standing next to him. “
Perhaps they are desperate to be out of reach of such a hungry looking wolf.”

“Possibly.”
Samuel stood and walked toward him. “La Patron.” He bowed and glanced at Angus.
“Alpha Samuel, this is Angus. Angus, Alpha Samuel.”
Samuel nodded and returned his attention to Silas. “They are considering returning with me to my den. But they do not wish to shift. They despise their wolves.” His gaze slid to Angus. “May I introduce you to them, Sir?”

“Silas, they plan to place another chip inside her. She wants to die. I said we said no way. Now tell me how to stop this? How do I fix this, damn it
?” Jasmine asked speaking fast, her energy flew wild through their link. She was too close to the edge.

He held up his finger to Samuel and turned around. “
You’re right no more chips…although it would help if we had one that hadn’t been used. Passen and Matt could replicate it in the lab and we could turn the tables on them.”

“Nothing goes inside her, I promised.”
“I understand, think of a way to grab the technology without her being hurt. That is the main reason we are here.”

“I don’t care about your mission right now,”
she snapped. A stream of unbridled energy grazed his jaw.
“I just want her life saved. I won’t forgive myself if she is enslaved again because she thinks she is serving me. I am not going to allow that.”

He sighed, knowing she wouldn’t be swayed
. “I agree, no shots.”

“Listen in as she repeats what she heard the men said so we can make a plan to get her out of there.”
Seconds later he listened as Asia told all she knew. It wasn’t much, but it was more than he knew. He sent brief messages to Leon and the twins telling them to return to him. They needed to make plans for the fall out.

“Okay. They are going to blow up the lab and Asia says it will be worse than what you planned to do,”
Jasmine said sounding winded.

He brought her current on what he knew.
“We don’t have much time. Keep me informed of your plans; I need to get the residents out of here.”

“Oh yeah, the janitor, Bruce, he gave them her box and turned her in. Kick his ass for me.”

Silas shook his head. “
Bloodthirsty bitch.”

“Stop flirting and find those bastards
.”

He turned to find Samuel and Angus watching him. “They have taken Asia and plan to blow the lab. It will affect the river, the highway and all the surrounding towns.”
Samuel’s eyes widened. “I need to prepare my pack.”
Silas nodded. “I’ll introduce myself to the residents, staying is no longer an option for them. Make arrangements for them to leave at once.”
