“Calm down. Calm down and keep your pants on….you certainly did last night.” She started rubbing her nose and wiping her face.

“I did? I kept my pants on? That’s a good thing right? Keeping my pants on?” Actually it didn’t matter. There had been plenty of times I unzipped and just took out what was necessary to complete to the job. So my pants staying on really didn’t prove anything. But I was grasping at straws.

“Yes. Well not good for me, no. But yes you were a very good little boy last night. I tried to get you to join us in the shower but you just watched us. I tried to get you to join us in the bed, after the shower, but you were just fine watching us again. When Will, Josie and Jane decided to take over the bed, I tried to suck you off but you wouldn’t let me do that either.” She stood up. “You were perfectly happy just being a spectator. I think you were half asleep most of the night.” Then she pointed to the floor. “We slept on the floor next to each other and you tried to cuddle me once but then quickly told me I didn’t smell like your wife, and pushed me away.” She was on her knees looking for her shoes.

“Please look at me. Please look at me and tell me we didn’t do anything wrong?” I was begging her. She stood up with her shoes in her hand and grabbed my shoulders.

“We didn’t do anything. I tried to get you to be bad with me, but you wouldn’t. I don’t know how short the leash is that your wife keeps you on, but in my opinion, you didn’t do anything wrong.” I pushed her arms off of me.

“Great. I have the approval of a prostitute, sex slave, stripping waitress. Everything is right in the world.” I went to my suitcase and started going through my things.

“Well aren’t you just a ray of sunshine this morning?” She started toward the door and then turned back to me. “You know what asshole?” I turned to face her. “I’m not a prostitute, or a sex slave. I’m a waitress in an exclusive sex club where consenting adults come to have sex. I’m not a stripper and you know what else…I’m not married either! You are! So if you’re mad at anything that happened last night, look in the mirror and blame that guy.” I took a few things out of my bag and walked to the bathroom.

“I’m going to take shower and when I come out, I want you gone.” I turned and went in the bathroom.

I gathered all the towels all over the place and wiped up the floor then threw them out in the room. I started the shower and called for housekeeping. I told them I wanted to have the room cleaned and neat by the time I was out of the shower.

I scrubbed every inch of my body and when I was done, I did it again. I wanted every part that she had touched to be clean. I wanted her scent gone from my nostrils. I wanted nothing to remember this night. This was a mistake. I wasn’t this person anymore.

I stayed in the shower and let the hot water run over my body for about 30 minutes. I wanted to call Norah and hear her voice, but I had to get my mind right and get answers before I went any further.

Kimberly said we didn’t do anything, but did I do something with someone else? Where were Will and Jane? Where was Samantha? They were with us when we left the club and Kimberly said they here in the room. Now they were gone.

I got out of the shower, brushed my teeth, put on some deodorant and shaved my face. I kept hearing voices in the other room so I gave them extra time to finish up.

The room was completely clean by the time I made it out. The bed was made with fresh linens, all the trash was gone and even my clothes were neatly laying on the bed. I grabbed my phone and called Will.

“What the hell happened Will? I woke up with the whore beside me.”

“Hey, hey, calm down. I don’t think you guys did anything.”

“Well tell me what happened?” I demanded. “This isn’t like me. I didn’t want this, I wanted to come back to the room and go to sleep. How did that turn into an orgy in my room?” I started getting dressed.

“I slipped you a little ecstasy in your last drink.” I stopped moving. “It was just half a pill but it was enough to loosen you up. You had a good time, but you didn’t do anything.”

“You gave me drugs?” I was pissed.

“I wanted you to have a good time. We came back to your room, and Josie, Jane and I got in the hot tub. You enjoyed watching us, but didn’t join us. Kimberly did though. We had some fun in the hot tub, in the shower, and then we took a little nap in your bed. But we left around 3am and came back here. When we left you were out cold, fully dressed and on the floor.”

“Where was Samantha?”

“She didn’t come back to the room with us. She left the club and said she had a date or something. She gave me her address and her phone number for you though. She said she wanted to catch up when you weren’t so drunk.”

“Don’t bother giving it to me. I want nothing to do with her anymore. That part of my life is over. This weekend was a mistake.” I told him that I would meet him in the lobby in about 20 minutes and hung up.

Norah

I stood in the airport and tapped my foot for about 10 minutes before Liam showed up. John and Winston had our bags, all of my staff had gone already and John had tried to call Liam several times and he didn’t answer.

“Where have you been?” I shouted under my breath as he ran up.

“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry baby. My head has been pounding all day, and I lost track of time. I am so sorry, I missed you so much.” He grabbed me around the waist and picked me up. “You smell so good, little one. I missed you so much.”

“Yeah you said that already,” I gave him a glare.

“Did you miss me?” he asked.

“Yes, I did and I plan to show you just how much on the drive home,” I winked at him.

He never let go of my hand the whole car ride home. I tried to wiggle away so I could kiss him or do something more, but he wouldn’t let me. He asked me questions about the wedding, which was unlike him because he usually didn’t care about that kind of thing. I gave up trying for some hankie pankie and decided his head must really be bothering him.

It wasn’t until we got out of the car and started in the house when I saw it.

“You’re wearing your wedding band?” I asked, but it clearly wasn’t a question because I could see it on his hand. He looked down at his hand, and back at me.

“Yes.” He said it like it didn’t mean anything. He said it like there was nothing weird about him wearing his ring. He said it like we didn’t just go round and round about this very topic and I gave in to his stupid but very relevant points.

“Why?” I asked. He kept walking like I wasn’t trying to have a conversation with him.

“Why? Because I’m married, that’s why. Do I need a reason?” he stopped on the steps of the house and turned back to face me. John, Winston and Trig all kept walking around us and took our bags inside.

“Well any normal married man doesn’t need a reason, no. But you, as you know, are not a normal married man. You just wrote an entire book on why wearing wedding rings doesn’t really matter the other night in our bedroom. Do you remember that?” He crossed his arms against his chest. Damn he was sexy.

I had missed him so much. I really just wanted to jump him. But at the moment I was more curious than anything.

“Yes, I remember.”

“So I was just wondering,” but he didn’t let me finish.

“Norah, I missed you. I missed so much in the 3 days you were gone I decided to start wearing my ring again. It reminds me of you, it makes me think of you, our wedding, my wife and you.”

“You just said four things that all mean the same thing,” I smiled at him as he stepped down to me and wrapped his arms around my shoulders.

“Do I need a reason to honor my wife? I love you and I missed you so much. Are you really going to turn this into a thing?” he kissed me slowly and softly. The butterflies in my stomach were now doing backhand springs. I started to feel a little light headed taking in the scent of clean linen, vanilla and Liam’s natural masculine scent.

My husband was so sexy and so charming with his smile, his kiss, his accent and his ability to make my knees go weak just by touching me.

“No, I will not turn this into yet another thing. Thank you for wearing it.” He kissed me again.

He was lying. I knew he was up to something.

I talked all through dinner. I told him about every detail of the wedding and just kept talking. He laughed and asked a few questions but for the most part he was quiet. I could tell something was bothering him but he didn’t look like he wanted to talk about it. Usually when Liam had something on his mind it was hard for him not to say it.

I kept chatting and started clearing the table.

“So tell me how your meeting went?” I yelled from the kitchen.

“Tell me about this kiss, Norah?” I knew he was in the kitchen behind me. His voice was close now. I turned to look at him and he was leaning against the door frame between the kitchen and dining room. I wiped my hands on a drying towel and took a deep breath.

“Liam, nothing happened.”

“I know that. I don’t doubt that for one second. But I want to know what happened and why did it take you 10 minutes to talk to me and I had to listen to people who were obviously participating in some kind of contact sport?” I walked a little closer to him.

“My team and I went out after the reception and some of the bridal party joined us. We were in a limo and everyone had been drinking,” I took a breath.

“Were you drinking?” he asked.

“Yes. I had two margaritas at dinner and a few more, later at the club.”

“Oh this just keeps getting better, little one.” He uncrossed his arms and stepped closer to me.

“Some of the people in the limo started playing twister while the car was still moving. Not me. I was just watching.” He took his eyes away from mine when I said ‘just watching’.

“The car hit a bump when I answered the phone and I dropped it. The guy that asked for a kiss, was just one of the groomsmen. He was hitting on all the girls. I told him I was married and when we got to the club he found someone else he was interested in.” He looked up at me and took my chin in his hand.

“Tell me about the club? You were drinking? What else?”

“I danced.” But I held up my hand to him. “I danced with John. He didn’t feel comfortable in my safety in the crowd because he couldn’t see me clearly.”

“I agree with John,” his face was stern.  “So I dragged him on the dance floor.” We both started laughing.

“You danced with John?” I nodded and he kissed my forehead. “Well little one, I think I am a little jealous of your driver.” He gave me another slow kiss. “I’m sure he was thrilled about the experience.”

“He wasn’t happy about it at first, but he loosened up after a while. John’s a very good dancer.”

“Thank you for being safe, sweetheart. I know you hate all the precautions, but I am glad you take them seriously.” He reached behind me and grabbed the cake Rosa had made for us.

“Now I am taking this cake and one fork up to our bedroom. I would like to take a shower, lay in bed and eat cake, and then make love to my wife all night long.”

“That sounds wonderful.” I took a fork out of a drawer and we went upstairs.

We took our shower together and he washed my body and my hair. His touch was soft and sensual. He dried me off with a big fluffy towel and wrapped it around me.

“Norah, I have to tell you something.” His voice was cracking and he looked like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders. The last time he had this look on his face, I had just found out I wasn’t his slave and I could leave him if I wanted to.

“What is it?” I was worried now.

“I did something, and I have to tell you, I need to tell you, but I just want you to know that you mean the world to me and I love you more than my life.”

“Liam, you’re scaring me. What’s wrong?” He looked at the floor and took my hand in his. He rolled my wedding rings in his fingers and I could hear his breathing had increased.

“Norah, while you were gone…” I stopped him. I lifted his head up and put my finger over his lips. His nervousness was making me nervous. I wasn’t sure I wanted to hear what he was about to say.

“Don’t. Whatever it is you don’t have to tell me now. Whatever it is it can wait.” He closed his eyes.

“It can’t wait, little one. I need to tell you now.” He still didn’t have the confident look on his face I was used to seeing. I put my hand over his mouth.

“Take a deep breath and relax. I know you need to tell me something, you know you need to tell me something. So you can tell me later.” He nodded slowly and I felt his body relax a little.

I turned on the TV and we watched a home improvement show and Liam talked about how he wanted to add a big porch and deck on the guest house.

He talked like ‘adding a porch and deck’ meant he was going to strap on a tool belt and do it himself. I let him have his fantasy. But we both knew his adding on to anything meant hiring construction workers to do it for him.

We ate cake and he rubbed my legs.

“So listen, I was thinking we could plan our getaway weekend for the last weekend of the month,” he panted as he parted my legs and moved between them. “I have never liked celebrating my birthday, but the thought of you and I laying on a beach, anywhere in the world, together where I can do this,” he kissed the inside of my thighs and ran his tongue up to my belly button, “..Makes me want to celebrate.” He pushed his tongue in my belly button and twirled it around.

I loved the idea of laying on a beach with him. But I had bigger plans.

“Well don’t pack your bags yet, ok? I might have an event that weekend, so let me check.”

He pulled my underwear off and we made love all night.

Chapter Six

Norah

To celebrate my big success, I took Monday afternoon off and went shopping. Shopping wasn’t something I usually liked to do but I made an exception this time.

I bought myself four dresses, six pairs of shoes and three pairs of underwear. I was looking at purses when I ran into Jane.
