“I think I've talked
about myself enough,” Kai told her and they both laughed,
knowing he'd certainly told her a lot over the last half an hour.
“Tell me about you, Morgan. What do you like?”

There was her chance. She could
try to break him out of his shell. Morgan knew what he was really
asking, but she'd answer it in her own way. “Well,” she
started, reaching for her jacket, “I like comfortable clothes.”
Her hands worked the buttons until her jacket was off and she slowly
walked over to the desk chair on the other side of the bed and laid
it across the back. She liked that corner, as it had a lone lamp
lighting the room, one that would provide her with her own spotlight.
Kai's eyes watched her as she undid the button of her jeans, then
slid those to the floor. Morgan turned around to pick them up, making
sure her ass faced him as she bent over. When she turned back around,
she noticed he'd sat up more and his stare was intense. It always
felt good to know eyes were on her and she used it to her advantage.

The girl then pulled her
sweater over her head and laid it on the back of the chair as well.
“Ahh, much better!”

“Definitely,” Kai
broke a smile and continued watching her as she slowly walked back
toward the bathroom. She already knew there were the fluffy white
robes she loved from when she'd brought her bags to the room earlier,
so she grabbed one off the hook and made her way to the bed.

“You need to be more
comfortable too.” Morgan met his smile, then brought one knee
up on the bed and draped the other over his waist in a fluid motion.
Her robe was still open, leaving him with the perfect view as she sat
on him.

“I...yes...I do...”

Morgan reached up to his collar
and loosened the maroon tie, then pulled it through completely and
threw it on a nearby chair. The buttons on his stark white shirt were
in danger of being ripped apart as opposed to gently undoing them,
but she gained control and did it right. When she got to the third
button however, the man's phone rang out.

“I also like when we turn
our phones off so we can enjoy each other,” Morgan sat up,
dropping his half opened shirt from her fingers, then shot the
annoying culprit a dirty look as Kai reached for it.

“I have to answer,”
Kai sighed, then helped Morgan climb off his lap. He was already up
and walking toward the door with his phone, and buttoning his shirt
back up before Morgan could even argue.

Morgan rolled to her stomach
and reached for the remote that was in the chair beside the bed. Her
plans of seducing the work out of the man were clearly laid to rest
for the time, so a little television was in order to pass the time.
The time turned into ten minutes as that's when Kai returned to the
room.

He sat on the bed next to
Morgan and pulled her up to a sitting position. “You're a very
tempting woman, Morgan.” He moved the hair from her cheek and
looked into her eyes. “There's nothing I'd rather want to do
than stay right here with you until we're both quite
comfortable.
But, I have to pick up one of my partners at the airport. I hope
you're still awake when I get back.” He held her face as he
spoke, and Morgan instantly liked the feel of his warm hand on her
skin.

“I'll certainly try to
be.” She lowered her head to the side and nuzzled his palm
that hadn't moved. He started to stand, but sat again slowly.

“I just have to do one
thing before I go.” His eyes moved to her lips and he met her
mouth softly, then deepened the kiss to the point of Morgan no longer
trying to persuade him to do anything. She was left nearly
breathless by the time he released her. “I'll see you in a few
hours.” He gave her one more sweet small kiss to the lips,
then finished straightening his clothes as he left the room.

“Well, this just got a
whole lot more interesting.” Morgan fell back to the bed and
giggled as she looked forward to seeing the handsome man later that
night.

Chapter Five

Kai's mission to pick up his
partner had turned into drinks with him in the lobby until well after
midnight. His mind floated to the beautiful girl in his bed, but
business came first and he had entertained the man for as long as
needed.

He returned to the room to find
what he assumed he would, a sleeping Morgan that wasn't able to wait
up that long for him. With regret, he climbed into bed gently beside
her, and fell asleep quickly with the help of the wine that he'd so
liberally enjoyed for most of the evening.

The following morning, it was
actually Morgan's phone that annoyed both of them. “Nooooo!
Stop! Where are you, ya little shit?” Morgan's half-awake
ramblings made Kai laugh, and he decided it wasn't such a bad way to
wake up to after all. Neither was seeing her ass in the air as she
felt around beside the bed looking for her phone. When she found it,
her upper body popped up and she looked over at the amused man beside
her. “Oh... god...sorry..I forgot.” Morgan moved the
hair from her face and he laughed again at how red her cheeks were.

“No, don't stop. I
always yell at mine too.” He motioned for her take the call as
her phone's tune rang out between them. Morgan rolled her eyes,
mainly to herself for not turning it off the night before, and
quickly answered it. Her Angel's voice rang out loudly in the quiet
room.

“I only have a sec, GiGi
can't find his briefcase, you know, the same black motha' fucker that
he carries every damn day, but I had drinks, had a few laughs, and
scored another date. Love you, miss you, hope you're flying that
Kite naked all over Fuckland!” Morgan tried to cover the
phone, but it was no use, Angel's voice was far too loud to hide from
anyone. She also couldn't tell him to keep it down, because he
kissed into the phone, held it out for PoPo to kiss as well, and hung
up.

Morgan quickly turned it off
and put it on the nightstand beside the table. The humor on Kai's
face turned into laughter again, and he asked what the hell that was
all about.

With her cheeks blazing, Morgan
told him that the call was from Angel, her best friend. “He's...
well... the sweetest friend I've ever had, or ever will have.”
She told him briefly that the two of them like to catch up when they
get a few moments, but she doubted that he understood their humor.

“So, are you like that?
Funny, outgoing, a little outrageous?” He reached out and held
her hair between his fingers, watching her as the redness started to
fade. She nodded as she made eye contact again.

“Yes, sometimes. I guess
we get along so well because we're alike. Then again, he says things
that I probably wouldn't.” She thought about that for a few
seconds, then corrected herself. “No, I probably would say
them.” They both laughed and Kai threw the blankets off of
himself and headed to the bathroom.

Before the two of them went
downstairs for breakfast, Morgan thought about what she needed to do.
The man found her amusing, that much she knew, and she could tell he
liked to laugh, but it was probably something that didn't fit into
his schedule too often. She was going to be sure that she made him
laugh, and by doing that, she'd just be herself, just maybe with some
added touches.

When they got downstairs
though, the mission temporarily was out of sight, out of mind, when
she found a few little gems sitting there on display for her.
“Score!” Morgan let go of Kai's hand and rushed over to
the pyramid of fresh blueberry muffins, then piled three of them onto
a small butter plate. When she turned around, her cheeks flushed
again from the amused look on her client's face, but she remembered
that's exactly what she'd intended in the first place.

Kai gathered a few breakfast
items for his own plate and the two of them found a table. Morgan did
what she does when it comes to muffins and immediately went to work
plucking the berries from their breaded home.

“Do you always do that?”
Kai watched her, his fork hovering in mid-air with a bite of eggs.

“No...well, yes. Just
blueberries though. Oh, sometimes chocolate chips and one
time...yes.” She closed her mouth when the man shook his head
and laughed.
There we go, come on, laugh some more. Let me chip
away at that shell. You have your job, let me do mine.

Morgan watched the man
spread jam along his toast, and she had to admit, she'd never seen
anyone so careful about it. The purple never touched the crust as his
butter knife slowly moved back and forth, forming a perfect square on
his bread. Just as he went to take a bite from his masterpiece,
Morgan reached out, grabbed Kai's wrist and took a big bite from the
corner.

“That's how it is?”
Kai's laughter echoed through the dining hall and Morgan nearly spit
the bite out in her own laughter. The look of surprise on his face
was enough to make her double over and the two took turns trying to
talk, but each time, one of them would start laughing again and ruin
it. It took nearly five minutes to get themselves under control, but
eventually, they were back to eating their breakfast.

“I have to say, Morgan,
you are certainly a breath of fresh air,” Kai told her when
they were finished eating.

“How so?” She
popped the last of her muffin in her mouth and wiped the crumbs from
her lap after asking what he'd meant.

“You're hilarious! You
have a lot of personality and you've already made me laugh more
during this breakfast than I've laughed in months.”

The girl, in a very comfortable
state, absentmindedly slurped down the last half of her coffee. It
was the kind of slurp that would have made Julianne cringe at the
sound, but thankfully, Julianne wasn't there to see it, nor scold her
for it. Morgan smiled and told him she was glad she could make him
laugh and he needed to have more fun, but she also had to know
something else.

“So, I have to ask...”
Normally, she wouldn't ask so soon, but under the circumstances, the
curiosity had her wondering about her client, “If you're always
so busy with work, why did you hire me?”

“I've got a very
important meeting this week, as you know.” Morgan nodded at his
words. “Tuesday is the day. I'm meeting with several clients
from all around Europe and they're going to let me know, one way or
another.” Morgan nodded again, having no idea what his meeting
had to do with her. “All of the men bring their wives or
girlfriends...when I don't have one at the moment...”

“You pay for one!”
Morgan's outburst made him flinch and even gathered the attention of
a few people sitting nearby.

“Precisely.”

“Awesome! It's
like...uhm....Pretty Woman! Yeah, I can totally do meetings! This
will be so much fun!”

“I think only you would
find a business meeting entertaining,” the man smiled, his
eyes still full of amusement.

“Not everything has to be
so serious, Kai. I mean, I know this is a big deal,” she added,
hoping to add some sincerity, “but you can still take time to
laugh and enjoy life. A good friend of mine says to live life like
you mean it. When you're not signing contracts and talking to people
in suits, take time to
live.
” Morgan grabbed his hand
from across the table, forcing him to look at her.

“You're right. I have
missed out on a lot lately.” Kai's smile disappeared and Morgan
knew that wasn't good. Sending her client on a walk down memory lane,
a walk he wasn't seeming to enjoy, was
not
what she had
intended. She knew what might help, a real walk.

“What do you say we get
bundled up and take a stroll though the park?” She was already
standing before he could answer. The man nodded and took a sip of his
tea, then Morgan grabbed both of his hands and pulled backwards,
dragging him out of the chair. She was nearly running by the time
they got to the elevator and he laughed as she pressed the 'close
door' button a few times before he could reach the elevator.

“Trying to leave me, are
you?”

“Nope,” Morgan
twirled her upper body back and forth and began whistling a tune,
claiming her innocence. The joking continued as they got off the
elevator and Kai ran to their room, unlocked it and was already
shutting it before Morgan could reach the door. “Okay, you
win!” She pushed hard when he let go, and fell forward toward
the ground, but Kai caught her before she kissed the hard floor.

“I'm...so...sorry!”
It was her clients turn to double over in laughter, seeing the girl
with her arms crossed in front of him.

“You're not sorry,
Mister,” she pointed at him, but laughed too.
This was
easier than I thought.
Seeing the man so happy thrilled her more
than words could speak. If it were true that he hadn't laughed in a
while, she was grateful to be the one to bring that to him.

The two were in their coats and
Morgan had her camera in hand in less than five minutes and they were
already headed out the door.

Their time at the park together
was exactly what Kai needed as well. She saw a side of the man that
she wondered if many others could see. Certainly, he didn't flick
snow on his clients. He most definitely didn't hold their hand during
a meeting. She was also sure Kai wouldn't have kissed any of his
prospective buyers underneath a beautiful tall tree. Nope, Morgan was
lucky to see his charming qualities, and there were many that he
showed her throughout their afternoon together.
