Queen
laughs.

"I
know
she
talks
a
whole
lot
of
shit.

But
I'm
usually
the
one
who
backs
it."

"You?

What
your
fly
weight
ass
know
about
fighting?"

"Muay
Thai
champ,
baby."

"Get
the
fuck
out
of
here."
Teddy
laughed.

"What's
so
funny?"

"You

re
a
mixed
martial
arts
fighter?

What
you
took
a
self
defense
class
or
some
bullshit?"

"I
said
Muay
Thai
champ,
not
chump."

"Let
me
find
out
you
know
a
little
something
about
something.

"I'd
better
know
a
little
something.

You
don't
go
around
looking
like
this
without
somebody
wanting
to
whip
your
ass."

"Yeah,
or
comb
your
hair."

Teddy
laughed
as
he
tries
to
smooth
Queen's
fly
away
mane
down.

"Oh
shit.

I
forgot
my
hair
was
all
over
my
damn
head.

I
must
look
like
a
hot
ass
ghetto
mess,"
Queen
replied
as
she
ran
to
the
bathroom
mirror.

"The
hottest."
Teddy
mumbled
as
he
admired
her
long
legs
as
they
disappeared
beneath
his
Jersey.

"Paul's
one
lucky
bastard,"
he
thought
to
himself.

CHAPTER 7

Later,
that
evening
Paul
and
Teddy
drove
Queen
to
her
dorm
to
pick
up
her
things.

In
route
Queen's
roommate
called.

"Hey
Queen,
it's
Shanta.

Sorry
to
bother
you."

"Hey,
don't
worry
about
it.

Is
everything
okay?"

"Yeah.

Nothing's
wrong,

I
just
called
to
tell
you
that
you
have
out
of
town
visitors."

"Visitors?

Who
is
it?"

"I
can't
say.

It's
suppose
to
be
a
surprise."

"Okay,
please
don't
tell
me
it's
my
parents?"

"I
promised
I
wouldn't
spoil
the
surprise.

But,
I
can
say
that
I
think
you'll
be
happy
to
see
them."

"Okay,
I'm
on
my
way.

I'll
be
there
in
a
few
minutes."

Queen
said.

"Shit!"

"Is
everything
okay?"
Paul
asked
as
he
maneuvers
the
Escalade
onto
the
highway
towards
the
campus.

"I
don't
know.

That
was
my
roommate.

Apparently
I
have
out
of
town
visitors.

Hopefully
it's
not
my
parents."

"You're
going
to
have
to
tell
them
sooner
or
later."
Paul
replied.

"I
choose
later.

I
can't
tell
them
that
I've
moved
in
with
you
two.

My
dad
will
lose
his
damn
mind.

This
is
strictly
a
need
to
know
thing
and
they
don't
really
need
to
know
a
damn
thing
about
this."

Teddy
was
puzzled,
"Are
you
and
your
roommate
cool?"

"Yeah,
why?"

"Wouldn't
she
have
given
you
a
signal
if
it
was
your
parents?

Especially
since
you
spent
the
night
out.

I
don't
think
it's
your
parents.

This
is
a
long
way
to
come
on
a
surprise
visit."

"You
know
what?

There's
one
way
to
find
out.

Queen
pulls
out
her
phone
and
calls
home.

Her
mom
answers.

"Hello."

"Hey
Ma
it's
me
Queen."

"Hey
pumpkin,
is
everything
alright?"

"Yeah,
I'm
fine.

Where's
dad?"

"Out
in
the
garage
working
on
that
old
car
of
his."

"Ma
that
car
is
a
classic
sixty
six
Mustang."

"Yeah,
it's
a
classic
alright.

A
classic
piece
of
junk."

Her
mom
laughed.

"Do
you
need
to
talk
to
him?"

"No,
I
just
called
to
say
hello
and
to
tell
you
guys
I
love
you."

"Sweetheart
are
you
sure
everything
is
alright?

Do
you
need

me
to
put
more
money
in
your
account?"

"No,
Ma.

I'm
good.

Look
tell
dad
hello.

I
love
you.

I
gotta
go.

I'll
call
you
later."

"Love
you
too.

Baby
be
safe.
Okay?"

"I
will."

Queen
hangs
up
the
phone
and
calls
Shanta
back,
but
her
phone
goes
to
voice
mail.

"You're
right
it's
not
my
parents.

And
I
hope
to
God
it's
not
who
I
think
it
is.

"Who's
that?"
Paul
asked
as
they
drove
onto
the
FDC
campus.

"Logic,
my
boyfriend."

"Ah
snap!"
Teddy
joked
as
he
snapped
his
fingers
in
Z
formation.

"Your
what?"
Paul
asked
a
little
surprised.

"What
I
meant
to
say
was
my
ex
boyfriend."

"Does
he
know
he's
an
ex?"
Paul
asked.

"Yeah,
I'm
pretty
sure
he
does.

I
haven't
returned
his
calls
or
talked
to
him
in
a
couple
of
months."

"Does
he
know
you're
here?"

"I
don't
think
so.

Oh
shit!

There's
his
car."

"So
what
do
you
wanna
do?"

"About
what?"

"About
me.

If
he's
your
boyfriend
then
who
am
I
suppose
to
be?

Just
tell
me
what's
up?"

"Paul,
he's
not
my
boyfriend.

He
cheated
on
me.

We
broke
up
and
I
transferred
here.

If
he's
here
then
I
don't
know
why?"

"Let's
just
go
upstairs
and
see
what
the
nigga
wants.

Instead
of
sitting
out
here
speculating."
Teddy
interrupted.

"Is
there
anything
you
want
to
tell
me
before
we
go
upstairs?"
Paul
asked
Queen
as
they
got
out
of
the
car.

"Paul
nothings
up."
Queen
insisted.

"Well,
he
may
have
arrived
as
your
boyfriend.

But,
he
damn
sure
won't
leave
as
your
boyfriend."
Teddy
laughed.
