His mom is next to hug me, she also is so beautiful but she has a tanner skin, she’s tall with long dark wavy hair.

She whispers in my ear, “I’m thrilled to finally meet you; Jackson has told me all about you. My boy is quite obsessed with you my dear and I can see why, you are absolutely stunning!” she beams.

“Yes it’s good to finally meet you Alexia, you are Jackson and his friends talk about so we had to meet you! I’m very pleased that we could put a face to the name now.” Frankie smiles at me as Jax comes up behind me.

“Dad please doesn’t embarrass us.” he teases giving me a quick hug.

“I’m very happy to meet everyone as well. I don’t know why they were hiding me from you, you aren’t embarrassing at all! Jax, you wana see embarrassing? Come live with me for a while!” I smile and they laugh as if they know what I’m talking about.

“Lexi you can keep him, take him with you, I beg!” his mom jokes and I laugh and pat his arm.

“You look beautiful baby...” he whispers and kisses my cheek as we walk to the table and sit down. I smile at him and thank him, I
notice his mom and dad looking at me with big smiles on their faces obviously they witnessed and heard what Jax said.

“Damn! Finally I get to you!” Drake dramatically sighs as if he’s out of breath and sits in the chair next to me.

“You had a crowd around you and I couldn’t make my way to the front, even Donny said hello before me!”

Just then Donavon comes running to me and lifts himself onto my lap and puts his arms around my neck and kisses my cheek.

“MY girlfwend Dwakey, MINE!” Donavon yells at Drake next to me. I can’t hold in my laughter as he says this and apparently neither can the rest of the table as they all erupt laughing hard.

Jax is hunched over the table with tears falling from his eyes he’s laughing so much.

“How about we share her Donny?” Drake asks his brother in a softer voice.

“Hey! Don’t I get a say in this?” I ask Drake. “There’s only one boy I want! And that’s you!” I poke Donavon’s tummy and he giggles, I tickle him then let him go eat his dinner.

“Drake your brother is adorable.” I say as we eat our dinner. “Dah…he’s related to me! Of course he’s cute.” Drake chuckles.

The parents make small talk with me about how I like “their” town and how I’m enjoying school. It reminds me of Alex and Johnny’s pack, it’s as if they are one big happy family. I learn that Ronny’s mother was killed in an accident when she was still a baby and her father preferred to be single so he never remarried. Everyone is quite close and friendly, apart from Jax with his father, there was some tension and I don’t know if any of the others noticed this.

“Jax, how’s things going at school? You doing better in your classes? I don’t see you that often so thought I’d ask while you’re around.” Frankie asks Jax, I knew Jax was battling with Mathematics but he seemed fine in his other classes that we shared. I wasn’t aware it was such a big issue that it had to be brought up in front of everyone during dinner as if he was trying to belittle Jax.

I see Jax’s shoulders slump in the corner of my eye as if in defeat, “I’m passing most of my classes, I’m
still battling with math’s…” he trails off as if he doesn’t want anyone to hear him announce this.

“Make sure you sort that shit out! You WILL pass do you hear me Jackson?” Frankie’s voice booms over the chatter of the table and I feel Jax tense next to me and nod. I didn’t understand why his father is acting this way trying to embarrass him like that in front of everyone, I had to do something and make him feel better.

I put my hand gently on top of his leg under the table, I feel his body relax, then he slips his hand under threading his fingers with mine.

“Jax, I’ll help you with your math’s okay?” I whisper so only he can hear me, he looks at me and smiles and mouths
thank you.

I look back to see Jax’s mother smiling at me, she should’ve said something to her husband instead of sitting there and letting him humiliate her son.

“Jackson why don’t you invite Alexia over to our house this weekend and all of you can enjoy the new theatre we built? Maybe put it to use?” Frankie says as if trying to break the tension at the table and put Jax in a better mood, the whole table goes quiet and they stare at him in confusion.
Maybe they don’t want me at their house…

“Really? It’s okay if she comes over?” Jax asks his father with a bewildered expression.

“Of course son! I’ll talk to the others and make sure they’re on their best behavior for Alexia.” Frankie teases and then he’s silent and they’re looking at each other as if they could read each other’s thoughts, it’s rather weird.

Uncle Mike breaks the silence as soon as I start to get uncomfortable. “Drake you better keep an eye on her, the older boys might steal her away from you since there’s fresh meat in the house.” He winks at me and the other adults laugh and I join in when I see Drakes expression.

“Oh don’t worry; I’m not going to let her out sight! And I will make sure they know who she belongs to… ” Drake winks at me and I feel Jax squeeze the hand I forgot he was holding. I squeeze back and he smiles at me.

The parents decided to go home after dinner leaving us behind, I get hugs from everyone and little Donavon kisses my cheek saying goodbye.
Too cute…

We decide to sit at a smaller booth on the other side of the bar, Ronny is telling jokes and I swear Rachel is close to peeing herself she’s laughing so hard. Wiping the tears from laughing,
Jax asks me, “So are you going to come over tomorrow then?”

I look around at each of their expectant faces, “Umm…. I kind of have plans tomorrow night? What about Sunday?”

“What plans do you have?” Jax asks me.

“Well, Alex asked me to stay over at her place tomorrow night so I'm leaving early tomorrow morning to spend the day with her.” I tell them.

“What the hell Lexi?” Drake barks from the side of me making me wince and move closer to Jax looking for protection in case Drake lashes out again. Jax shoots Drake a death glare.

“Drake we spoke about this after….” Afraid to bring it up in case the memories flood back in I avoid saying the rest.

“You said it was fine and you wouldn’t bug me about it, she’s my friend and I’m going to see her okay?” finding the courage that was hidden somewhere inside me I finish the sentence ignoring the shocked look on his face because I’ve never really stood up to him in front of everyone.

“I’m not going to argue with you Drake, I’m going and that’s it!” I say looking straight into his eyes.

Jax pats my arm that’s resting on the table and smiles at me as if to say he’s proud of me.

“It’s okay Lexi you can go see Alex just let us know you are safe, right Drake.” Jax says but it doesn’t come out as a question more of a statement informing Drake that he doesn’t have a choice but to accept it.

“Okay okay!” Drake puts his hands up in defeat, “but on one condition?”

“Yes?” I roll my eyes at him.

“You have to stay over Sunday night.” he says as he takes my hand and kisses it, then gives me a big toothy smile.

“Oh YES! Slumber party!” Ronny shouts out, very unlike her.

“I’m so excited!” Rachel shrieks, “Finally another girl in that boy infested house!”

“And we can paint our nails and ooh! Gossip about boys! Don’t forget the scary movies, from what I hear Lexi loves ‘em!” Jax says in a girlie voice which just makes the group laugh.

“Okay guys, deal.” I tell them and they all cheer with excitement, you’d swear they’ve never had a sleepover.

After talking about our plans for Sunday night, we decide to head home since it was already nearing midnight.

Drake is driving slowly home, obviously trying to get as much time with me as possible.

“My parents love you already.” he exclaims with a big grin on his face.

“You think? I know your brother is head over heels, that’s for sure.” I tease him.

“Yeah my mom and dad spoke to me as soon as they met you, you gave them quite a first impression, I swear Scarlet and my mom are probably already planning our wedding.” He jokes and I can’t help but wonder why I don’t feel all that excited about Drake.

“Of course Donavon is in love! I was head over heels the first time we met ….literally!” He winks and I giggle at our inside joke.

“But don’t forget who you belong to! I’m going to be kicking plenty of ass when you come over on Sunday, I can’t wait.” he gives me a naughty smile and I want to kiss him all over. He puts his hand on my leg as he drives.

“Why is everyone saying that? You would swear I was a model fresh off the runway…” I mutter more to myself than him as we get out the car. He stands in front of me and pushing me gently against his car as his hands cup my cheeks.

“You don’t really know how beautiful you are, do you?” He obviously see’s that I'm shocked at what he's asking me because he continues.

“Lexi, you are the most beautiful person I’ve ever met, inside and out. There is something about you that draws people to you and the fact that you don’t even know how gorgeous you are makes my job as your boyfriend REALLY difficult. You don’t know how many asses Jax and I had to kick to get the guys from school to stay away from you. There are even guys from college that live by us that were talking about you, I don’t know how or when they saw you but everyone just wants you…”

He stares at me with those sparkling brown eyes then he puts his lips to my ear and I can feel them touch my ear lobe sending shivers down my spine.

“They can’t have you though, wanna know why?” He whispers and I nod slowly, “Because you are all mine...” Drake growls possessively in my ear before his mouth devours mine.

CHAPTER 19:

I walk into the house as Drake drives away, Georgina is at her boyfriend’s house again. It’s as if she’s trying to avoid me at all costs.

I put the lamp on in the lounge and use my phone to light my way to my room. Flipping on lights as I go ,stepping into my room I put the lamp on that’s next to my bed and scream as I notice Jax sitting on my windowsill.

I fall on my bed clutching my heart trying to regain my breath. Jax is laughing his ass off, falling on the bed next to me clutching his stomach and rolling around like a kid.

“Jax! What is wrong with you! You scared me!” I say through deep breaths and smack his arm.

“Sorry Lexi, I didn’t mean to but you were in your own little world and I was enjoying the view.” he smiles up at me as I’m sitting on the bed and he’s still lying comfortably.

“What you doing here Jax, what’s wrong?” I ask him as I get up and dig through my cupboard for clothes.

“I just wanted to talk to you without the crowd around, we haven’t really hung out alone since last weekend and I.. I just missed you.” He mumbles and I smile to myself because I missed him too.

I walk up to the bed and lean on the side where he’s now sitting.

“I missed you too but we’re going to be spending a lot of time together from now on because I’m your new math’s tutor, remember?” his face beams with a big smile.

“You look so beautiful tonight baby, thank you for everything with my dad. My parents love you and my dad is so fascinated by you. You know he doesn’t hug
anyone
apart from my mom, he’s just not a touchy type of person but with you he seems so much calmer. You seem to make everyone fall in love with you.” he whispers as he leans his face forward and instead of kissing my cheek like he usually does he kisses the corner of my lips.

Oh god his lips are so soft
, Jax gives me butterflies and tingles just like Drake does but for some reason with Jax everything is more intense. I need to stop my thoughts so I tell him I’m going to change and rush to the bathroom after quickly grabbing underwear and a shirt.

I don’t know why I’m feeling all these feelings for Jax when not even half an hour ago I was making out with Drake and thinking about how much I’m in love with him.

After washing the make-up off, pulling my hair down and putting on my dad’s long gym shirt. I get the underwear I snatched from my drawer and see this tiny piece of black lace fabric.
Really Lexi? Really??
I HAD to pick THAT out of all the underwear in there! Luckily the shirts long so you can’t see much apart from my legs.

Walking to my room, I see that Jax isn’t there,
he must have gone home.
I can’t help but feel a little sad that he’s not here anymore.

I climb under the covers and face the window. Through the window I can see the hill where my friends stay, it’s not too far away but it’s surrounded by thick trees so you can’t see much of it except the roofs sticking out.

I hear footsteps and I see Jax walk into my room closing the door behind him.

“Hey I thought you left?” I ask him as he walks over to the other side of my bed putting off my lamp that was on so now the only light that can be seen in my room is from the bright moon through my window.

“I was just putting the other lights off and making sure you locked the door.”

He starts taking off his shoes, jacket, jeans and then shirt. I swallow as I stare at him pulling his clothes off leaving him in black boxers, his body is so gorgeous, his abs hard as steel, I can see the ripples on his stomach of his muscles and I just want to run my tongue down them. He opens the covers and starts to climb in.
