Chapter 10

Javon and Abby were in the car, going back to her apartment. Javon was scowling to himself, thinking of a way to get back at Sally for interrupting his alone time with Abby.

“Are you angry with me? Why are you making faces?”

“I could never be angry at you. I'm thinking of ways to get back at Sally for ruining our night. I’m really sorry. I thought she was out for the evening.”

“Oh, Javon, she's your sister! It's her job to get on your nerves. Is she older or younger than you?”

“She's much older, ancient really.”

Abby laughed at Javon’s reply. Sally looked to be the same age as Javon “Very funny; she can't be more than five years older than you.”

“Tell me more about your family, Abby,” Javon said, changing the subject.

“There's not much to say, really. I have a younger brother, Ray. My dad left when I was little. My mom raised Ray and me. Ray calls me every week but my mom, well, we aren’t close. Ray’s the only family I have in the world as far as I'm concerned.”

“Sally is all I have, too. She can be a bit bossy, but I don't know what I would do without her.”

Javon pulled up to Abby's apartment. He didn't want the night to end; he wanted to find a way to extend their time together. “May I come in?” he asked.

There was a voice that kept saying no but that was not what came out of her mouth. “Sure, we could have a quick drink.”

Javon happily jumped out of the car and followed her up to her apartment. He entered the apartment and he thought it suited her well. It was plain with just a splash of color. He sat on the couch next to her.

“Drinks! I almost forgot,” Abby said as she ran into the kitchen and came out a moment later with two beers.

He thanked her and took the offering. He took a sip and waited for Abby to sit down next to him. He wanted to kiss her immediately but didn’t want to come off as being overly aggressive or as having a one track mind. He took her hand in his and held it.

“I like you Abby and after tonight I want to see more of you.”

Abby looked at him, her eyes widening. “That sounded really intense.” She laughed suddenly. “I’m sorry; that was really sweet.”

Javon was confused. He was trying to be serious and wanted to tell her she was special and she just laughed at him. “Maybe it’s time for me to go.”

“Really? Please don’t go. I know I acted like a jerk.”

“You’re right; it’s too soon, but I do want another date.”

Why don’t you call tomorrow and we can set something up for my next day off?”

“Sounds like a good plan,” Javon replied.

Javon set down his beer and stood up and walked toward the door. Abby walked with him and before he left she leaned over and kissed him. It wasn’t a heart stopping kiss but a nice goodbye for now kiss.

Abby shut the door and walked into her bedroom where she found a snoring Jenny. She had forgotten that she passed out in her bed. She loved her friend but not enough to listen to her snore all night long. She grabbed a blanket and pillow and decided on sleeping on the couch.

Chapter 11

Maurice glanced at the whore he already had in his car. She was patiently waiting as she counted the twenties she’d been paid with. The car was running and heated, and she seemed to be enjoying the time in a warm vehicle. It was an unusually cold night but the whores on eight mile still dressed in tiny flashy outfits to attract customers. Maurice used to hate the cold but after a few Detroit winters he enjoyed what it meant. Long nights and many humans tucked away in their homes. Just what a hungry Vampire wanted. His phone buzzed with a text message. He looked at it and saw it was from Brian.

Javon at Bloodlust with blonde female. Waiting on further instructions.

This was interesting; very interesting. Javon never stayed with any female more than one night—and to take a female to the club… He wondered if she knew Javon was a Vampire. When he first got into town, he considered taking Sally to make him suffer but the love of a maker was nothing compared to that of a destined mate. So he waited and now it seemed like it finally happened. Javon had found his eternal mate, or at the very least someone he loved. He opened his phone to dial Brian.

“Brian, I received your text; just keep watching.”

“What is the plan? Are we still going to take her?”

“Be patient. I will tell you what is necessary.”

Maurice hung up the phone. He knew the time had finally arrived. Javon finally had a weakness he could exploit; he had a human girlfriend. How pathetic. The whore was still waiting in the car. He walked over and got inside and smiled.

“I know a spot that we can go to have a bit more privacy,” Maurice said to the whore.

She had dark skin and black curly hair. She smelled like cheap perfume and wore a very short skirt and crop top.

“Not too far; I like to stay nearby,” she replied. “My name is Candy, by the way.”

“Buckle up, Candy,” Maurice replied.

Maurice drove fifteen minutes away, then pulled into the parking lot of one of the many abandoned factories in the Motor City. The building was brick and all the windows had been broken out.

Maurice got out of the car. Candy followed and gave him an
I don’t think so
look. “What the hell? We are not fucking in there,” she shouted.

“Fine then bend over the car. Those are your only choices unless you want to give me my money back?”

“The car then, but I’m not getting naked; it’s too cold out here.”

Maurice positioned himself behind her. It was a good thing Vampires couldn’t catch diseases; who knew what this whore was carrying. He lifted up her skirt and ripped off her panties. He immediately pushed inside her and pounded her from behind with his cock. His fangs extended as his blood hunger rose inside him. He latched onto her neck from behind. Candy gasped as she felt pain then pleasure, but that only lasted a moment. Maurice didn’t want anyone feeling pleasure. As he pumped into her with his cock, he increased his drinking; it became more forceful and painful for her. He unlatched as he moaned and came on her back, she didn’t deserve to have him come inside her, and she was just a dirty whore. Candy turned around with a horrified look on her face, holding her neck wound as she bled all over herself.

“What are you?” she screamed with fear. Candy backed away and tried running. But she didn’t get very far. Maurice, using his Vampire speed, quickly ran ahead of her and she ran right into him. Maurice laughed. He loved it when they fought; it made the blood taste so much sweeter.

He smiled with her blood still on his teeth. “I am a Vampire, you fucking whore, and in a moment you will be dead.”

“Please, no. You can do whatever you want. Please don't kill me,” she begged.

He lunged onto her throat. Candy screamed at first then quieted down as she lost consciousness. Maurice drank down her liquid as ferociously and as fast as he could. Her body twitched as the last bit of life drained from her body and finally her heart stopped beating. He took the body and threw it in the trunk like the piece of garbage that she was.

He got in the car and drove out of the city and along Lake Erie. The once busy city was now more spread out with houses on the lake. He finally came to a stretch that had no houses or anything else and he was able to dump the body. He knew it wouldn't stay hidden long. It would probably be discovered in a day or two, but he didn’t care, not really. He got back into the car and called Brian.

“Brian, I’m on my way home. Go to
Bloodlust
and find me a snack.”

“Sure, nothing happening here anyway. Any preference?”

“No; just willing and pretty.”

Brian walked into
Bloodlust
and immediately he was on the prowl. Maurice taught him to hunt and even for a human he was talented. He didn’t have Vampire senses or powers but he could attract a female with ease. He was good looking in a rugged way. His hair was short and brown; he sported a full but well trim beard. He walked into the club and could already spot a few females checking him out. He sat at the bar and ordered a beer and just observed the crowd. He watched one and she saw him looking and smiled. She was Goth with black hair, pale face with a lot of eyeliner, and she was skinny and had an expressive face. Brian thought she would be perfect for tonight’s meal and activities. Getting a Goth girl to accept and want to be bitten wasn’t usually too difficult. He knew she would come to him willingly. He looked at her and she looked back and finally left the dance floor.

“Hi, I saw you looking at me,” she stammered nervously.

“Yes I was. Would you like to sit with me?”

“Sure that would be nice.” She sat down at the bar stool next to Brian and the bartender came over to take her drink order. She ordered a shot of tequila, and as soon as the bartender put it down, she grabbed it and quickly swallowed the entire thing in one quick gulp. “I needed that.”

“Rough day?”

“Something like that. I’m Lizzy, by the way. What’s your name?”

“I’m Brian,” he replied.

“I like it—simple and to the point.”

“Want another drink?”

“Yes please.”

Three drinks later, Lizzy was drunk. Even in her state, Brian found himself wishing he didn’t have to serve her up as tonight’s meal. He wished he could keep her for himself.

Chapter 12

Brian was just getting up after last night. Lizzy was still asleep, recovering from being bitten and getting pounded into the mattress by Maurice. He was starting to wonder what he was doing with his life. Hanging out in this dump with Maurice, hoping he would turn him. If he was really going to become a Vampire, wouldn't he have become one already? He left his entire life, his friends, his family, even his job for Maurice. He noticed Lizzy began waking up; he was going to have to take her home. It was already 3:00 pm and Maurice would be up soon.

“Brian?” She smiled.

Lizzy walked toward Brian. Brian thought she would be so much prettier if she gave up her Goth look.

“Ready to go home? I'll drive you.”

“Um, sure. I just need to use the restroom.”

Lizzy disappeared into the bathroom and came out a few minutes later. She had washed her face and pulled her hair up in a ponytail. Brian thought she looked stunning.

“So, Brian, I’m having a hard time remembering last night. What happened?”

“Well, Lizzy, you've been fucked and bitten by a Vampire, and now it’s time to go home.” Brian didn't like being so crude but he didn't want her to think of this as a romantic situation she would want to repeat. Next time, she might not walk away in one piece.

Lizzy gave him the stink eye in response.

“You don't have to be an asshole. I knew exactly what I did last night. And you were the one I really wanted. I left with you, not Maurice. You handed me over to him like I was a gift.” Brian was stunned at this revelation. No one had ever shown any interest in him in years. Usually the girls he brought home for Maurice didn’t care who they left the club with.

“Um, sorry about that.” Brian was feeling really horrible now. She could have been his, but no, he couldn't think about such things. His only goal was to please Maurice so he would turn him into a Vampire.

Brian sat in his car, driving with Lizzy next to him. She smiled when he looked over at her.

“So, Brian, how long have you been with the Vampire?”

“Maurice; his name is Maurice.”

“Whatever; that bloodsucker you live with.”

Brian began to get angry. He wasn’t sure why but he felt a need to defend Maurice. Most of the time he didn’t even like him but now that someone else was taking shots, he didn’t like it one bit. “Lizzy, that’s enough. One more word and you can walk.”

Her mouth was open, about to say something else, but she closed it and folded her arms and just sat silently the rest of the way back to her house.

Brian pulled up into the driveway of the house and waited for Lizzy to get out. She didn’t.

“I’m sorry I made you mad. I meant what I said about wanting to be with you last night. Could I have your number?”

“Why? Why in the world would I even consider giving you my number!?”

Lizzy took Brian’s hand and he immediately pulled away. “You don’t see it now, but you will eventually want someone to talk to.” Lizzy grabbed his phone and called her number then shut it. “Got it!”

Brian watched Lizzy run into her house to get out of the cold. He never met anyone like her. She was infuriating and at the same time he liked her. He started the car and headed back to the house. Maurice would be waking and he would be hungry. And since he took Lizzy home, he would now be dinner.

***

Brian just returned from taking Lizzy home to find a hungry looking Maurice. Brian knew what that meant. He dreaded being bitten. When he first came to live with Maurice, the feedings were gentle and pleasurable. Maurice would caress his back and afterward tell him how much he meant to him, and how he would make a wonderful companion as a Vampire. Now it was rather violent, like being raped each time.

“Where were you, Brian?” Maurice asked angrily.

“I was taking the skank home.”

“I wanted her for breakfast.”

“You already took enough. We don’t need the attention of another death.”

“Very well.” In an instant, Maurice was on Brian and pinning him to the floor. Maurice violently pierced his neck, ferociously drinking down his blood. Brian held back a whimper as he felt the pain and violence of the feeding. Maurice retracted his fangs, not bothering to seal the wound.

“When you are done crying like a bitch, I want you to go find that female of Javon’s and bring her to me. It’s time to put my plan into motion.”

Maurice left Brian on the floor in a weakened state. All he could do was remain on the ground, unable to do much of anything. His phone rang and he barely had enough energy to answer.

“Hello?”

“Brian?”

“Who is this? How did you get this number?”

“This is Lizzy.”

Oh great, just what I need—a Vamp whore clinging on.

“Lizzy, you shouldn’t be calling me. Just forget you ever met me or Maurice. It’s for your own good.”

“I was worried about you. I had a bad feeling, and I just needed to be sure.”

“I’m fine; just a little depleted of my blood, that’s all. Maurice was very hungry this morning.”

“Do you need help? I can come and help you.”

“No,” Brian shouted over the phone. “I just need a nap. I will be fine. I’ve been through this plenty of times.”

“Okay, but I’m calling every hour until I know you’re okay.”

“Fine, whatever.”

Brian hung up. He thought about what it would be like to have a girl like Lizzy—someone who would care for him, someone to love him. It had been so long since he’d had anything like it. It was almost foreign to him now.
