He looked at
bewildered.“Don't tell me you forgot. Today you're coming with
me.”

Oh
my God. I don't know where my head is.. I'm sorry yes I have
completely forgotten. Yesterday was a bad day, I worked till late
and...”

Oh,
it doesn't matter. Hope it is not a problem..are you still willing to
come?” he asked all hopeful. He hadn't lost his sweet smile. I
admire him, he never looked sad.

I couldn't say no when he
was looking at me like that.

Yes
but I didn't bring any clothes with me and...”

Oh,
don't worry about that, I'll give you something.”

Not
Claire's.” I shouted probably more than I should have. He began
to laugh.

No
problem, I'm sure I can lend you something mine. Come on let's go.”

Although I really didn't
feel like, I didn't want to be rude so I just followed him. His car
was parked a little far from school. He had a beautiful sports car.

Beautiful
car.” I exclaimed as I gave it a better look.

You
like it? Thanks. But it's not mine. It belongs to my father. He just
lend it to me sometimes. I'm still trying to save money to be able to
buy my own.”

I looked at him surprised. I
thought he said that they were rich then how come his father didn't
bought him one? He met my gaze and I blushed.

I
know what you're thinking, that my father is rich enough to be able
to buy me ten of these. Well, I have been brought up very differently
from Claire. I have always worked hard to obtain the things I wanted.
According to my father only in this manner we give more value to
things. I was never a spoilt child Cassy.”

I smiled at him and I really
admired him.

That's
a very good thing. Your father must be a great person.”

Yes
he is, he has done a superb work with me, even though I didn't have a
mother.”

I looked up in his eyes
surprised and shocked. I felt sorry for him. He was still
smiling although weakly. My God, what had happened to her?

"I'm sorry," I
said not knowing what else to say.

No
Cassidy she's not dead, she just left us when I was five years old,
but anyway it doesn't really matter, I had a pleasant childhood
although I missed having a brother or a sister. I was always alone.”

Oh..

Well,
that's part of life I guess but now enough memories. Jump in and
let's go. I'm starving, I forgot my lunch at home today and I didn't
even have time to go to buy something from the canteen.”

I smiled and went in. He
started the ignition and drove off.

So
Cassidy, aren't you telling me something about you? You know a lot
about me now.”

I looked up to meet his
gaze. He was looking at me, with his  beautiful blue eyes which
seemed to smile all the time.

Well,
what do you want to know?”

Hmm
let  me think. Like why you're a mature student for example.”

Well,
it's a long story. Something happened in my life which made a huge
impact, a radical change which marked my whole existence.”

He looked me curiously
before returning his attention to the road. I wasn't sure if I was
doing well to tell him.

Would
you like to tell me what happened?” he asked softly.

I
had a terrible car accident and I lost my memory.” I said in a
whisper.

He turned his head towards
me and looked at me shocked.

Cassidy,
you mean you don't remember anything from your past?” He asked
in disbelief.

Not
a thing, it's as if the first 25 years of my life have been erased.”I
sighed. Every time I talked about it an immense bitterness gripped
me.

Oh,
but is it temporary right, I mean will you remember with time?”

I
don't know, the doctor said it's permanent, but recently I have been
having like visions. I don't know if they are flashbacks of my past
or a sort of deja vu. The visions I see are very clear but I'm not
sure if the things I see really happened.”

Oh,
maybe they are signals that your memory will eventually come back.”He
said encouragingly.

Maybe..
but honestly I hope it never happens.”

His head whipped round, he
looked puzzled.“Why not?”

Well,
I don't think I had a past to be proud of. The little things I
discovered are not so nice, I made people suffer and well I don't
want to return back there.”

I
see, well anyway for me it doesn't make a difference, right? I have
just got to know you. I'm hoping to be part of your future,” he
said with a grin.

I smiled at him. He grabbed
every opportunity to make me know how he felt about me. I liked his
attention, but I knew that our relationship would always be that of
friendship. Nothing could ever happen with him.

Maybe
it's a bliss after all. Not everyone can have a second chance in
life, starting from zero, trying not to do the same mistakes again.”

 “
Yeah,
you're right. I won't do the same mistakes again. That's for sure.”

At
that moment, my thoughts went back to David and Claire. I would
protect David at all costs. I loved him so much that I was ready to
stay away from him if that meant saving his career. This wasn't going
to be forever, just until the school finishes. Or maybe I could just
change school. I had to think about that eventuality. It hadn't
crossed mind yet..in that case I would solve everything and I could
be with David.

A few minutes later he
turned around the corner to enter into an enormous drive in. I gasped
as I looked around. It was an enormous villa set among trees. On one
side there was a huge garden and on the other I could see the pool
and bar b q area. Blake's father was certainly very wealthy to afford
all of this.

You
live here?” I asked in disbelief.

He gave me a half smile.
“Yes I do, although honestly I think that all of this is just a
waste of good money.”

I gazed at him, was he
serious?

Oh,
I know what you're thinking, that I'm just saying this to appear
modest but it's not the case. This house was bought  5 years ago
on insistence of Cledia, Claire's mother. She's one of those snob
persons who like to impress and degrade people. She wants to always
be on top of everyone. The elite of society. So she managed to
convince my father to buy this enormous villa in order to make
parties, and to entertain and meet with her dumb snobbish friends
every week.”

I smiled, Claire must have
inherited a lot from her mum I thought.

You
don't seem to think highly of your step mum.”

No,
not at all, she's a cold woman, who married my father just for his
money and power, but he's in love with her, and when you're in love
with someone, well I guess you just see what you want to see. As they
say, love is blind.”

This guy surprised me every
time we met. He was very mature for his age.

So
here we are,” saying this he stopped his car and got out of the
car. In a flash he walked in front the car and came to my side,
opening the door for me and helping me out. I looked in front of me
and saw a big door which I presumed led to the house. I was going to
walk towards it when he grabbed my arm softly and stopped me.

This
way, I don't live with them.”

I
looked surprised at him. He smiled.

I
couldn't stand the two witches so I asked my father to have a small
flat all for me,”he explained.

I couldn't help myself but
chuckle. He smiled too and I followed him to his apartment which was
near the pool. He pulled out his key and opened the door.

 “
Come
in, this is my little nest. It's small but I love it and it's all
mine.” he said proudly. I smiled and followed him in.

Oh,
this is really nice,” I said as I wandered around his small
living room. It was plain but cosy.

Thanks
I'm glad you like it. It’s plain and unfussy I know, probably
you expected something more expensive but this reflects me. I bought
the furniture myself.”

Oh
no, it's great really.” I said in all honesty.

Do
you fancy a piece of cake or something else? Or maybe I could fix
something to eat, maybe pasta?”

I shoved my hand in a
friendly way as I said; “Oh, don't worry about me Blake, I'm
not hungry.”

Oh,
please I hate to eat alone.”

I looked at him amused.

What?”He
asked grinning.

Well,
you live alone right, so you must be used to eat alone.. unless..”

Unless..”
he looked at me with a smirk.

Well,
unless you bring a girl after school with you every day. I'm sure
girls would volunteer to come with you.” I said settling down
in one of his recliners. They seemed so comfortable that I couldn't
resist trying one. And in fact it was as comfortable as I had thought
it would be. He came to sit beside me...

Well,
I'm glad that the only girl I ever wanted to bring here didn't
refuse. Let me adjust this for you. He bent down brushing my thighs
with his arm while he pressed the button which made me lay down a
little. My heart lost a beat. He was still bent down and dangerously
close to my face.

Comfortable?”He
asked. I could feel his breath on my face. I just nodded and
swallowed. I couldn't help the sense of awareness which had hit me
all of a sudden. My heart had raced a little. His dazzling gaze in my
eyes had a strange affect on me.

Ahmm
may I have some water, please.” I said hoping he would just
stand up so that I could breathe.

He continued to stare down
in my eyes for what seemed forever although it was just for a few
seconds. I was holding my breath trying not to shiver.

Sure..”
saying that he stood up and walked away to the kitchen which was just
opposite to the living room. I gasped and sucked for air. I was angry
with myself I shouldn't feel like this, I was in love with David. I
looked in his direction and took in his appearance. He was extremely
handsome and manly. He had a great physique, wide shoulders, honed
muscles and a taut stomach. He had big strong arms and hands possibly
due to the continual basketball training. He was tanned which made
his blue eyes look even bluer. I sighed as I felt guilty for
lingering on his body like this, but the fact that nearly all the
female students of St Isle felt this way gave me comfort. This guy
was one of those guys who triggered desire in every girl who laid
eyes on him.

Here
it's cold, this should make you feel better?” he said while he
gave me a glass of water.

Feel
better??” I asked quizzically.

Well
yes, today it's really hot and I apologize for not having an air
condition here, another of my choices. I thought you were going to
pass out before.”

I nearly suffocated in the
water. So he had noticed. Did he really think that it was due to the
heat?

Oh..
I'm fine really.”

I'm
glad. Listen if you want to refresh yourself or take a shower the
bathroom is there. I'm going to prepare the pasta then we can start
with the rehearsals OK?”
