CHAPTER
16

I washed my face with cold
water, I needed to cool down a little. Although I smudged my makeup I
didn't really care, my face was still burning. I looked at the mirror
and arranged my hair before returning to him. I was hungry and the
lobster sounded delicious. At that moment, I thought about our bet. I
was curious to know what he was going to given me if I had to win. I
went back to him. He was standing up looking at the view with his
drink in his hand. Even from behind he looked so alluring. I looked
at his wide back, at his trim waist and I couldn't not notice his
bottom. I felt hot again and I would have stood there staring at his
perfect body in eternal if the waitress hadn't interrupted me...

Excuse
me, “she said while she tried to pass as she held the big tray
in her hands. I was still standing like an idiot in the middle of the
door. I moved away and saw him looking at me with smug satisfaction
on his face. He knew what he was doing to me and I didn't like this.
I looked down and went back to my seat. He waited for the waitress to
put the plates on the table and then sat down.

Everything
OK?” He asked.

Yeah
fine.” I said trying to focus on the food which looked really
yummy...

Hungry?”
he asked smiling.

Yes,”
I confessed and I really was, I hadn't eaten anything all morning.

Why
don't you start with this?” He said showing me the plate
containing the lobster.“So that we discover if I was right or
wrong?” He continued looking deeply in my eyes.

OK.”

Be
fair, no cheating OK? Don't say you don't like it if you do just to
win the bet.”

I looked at him and smiled..

OK..
let's see.”I cut a piece of lobster and grabbed it with my fork
and then I put it in my mouth. It tasted delicious, I really loved
it..

Seems
that you like it,” he said with a grin.

Not
at all.” I lied.

Oh
yes, you do. Don't lie, only bad  girls do that?”

And
how do you know if I'm a bad girl or not?” I dared. He wanted
to play, OK we'll play. I wasn't going to give up so soon.

You're
too sweet to be a bad girl and usually bad girls do not blush so
much. Only naughty girls with naughty thoughts do.”

Oh my God, I couldn't
believe he had just said that. I felt my face burning up again. I
took another piece of lobster and ate it. He laughed...

You
took another piece, I assume that I won the bet then right?”

OK
OK I surrender, this is the best thing I ever tasted.” I
admitted.

I'm
glad. Hmm, now I have to think about my prize.”

You're
prize?” I asked stunned.

Sure,
you have to give me something.” He reminded me.

Ah
right.”

But
we'll talk about this later after lunch. I don't want to ruin your
appetite.”

He didn't say anything else
and began to eat. We ate in silence. He kept glancing at me and
smile. He liked to torment me and see me blush. He seemed to find me
attractive as he kept glancing at my cleavage thinking I wasn't
noticing. Although the dress I had on didn't have a low cut, he still
could have a hint of what I had underneath. I had noticed him looking
at my legs as well when I was standing. Was this what was all about.
Lust? Was Tyler one of those who thought that he could bed a girl a
few hours after meeting her? Well, if this what he thought he was
completely wrong. I liked him, he was charming and devilishly
attractive but I wasn't going to loose my good sense after a man I
had just met. When we were ready, he asked if I wanted dessert and I
said no. I was full up.

Did
you enjoy lunch?”

Yes
a lot thank you.”

Glad.
Listen what do you think of a tour around the hotel? Would you like
that?”

I smiled at him and nodded.

Good
then let's go. I still have some time before I return to work. I'll
show you the pool area, the rooms and the administration area.”

I followed him around. The
pool area was beautiful, there was an enormous strange shaped pool
and lots of palm trees everywhere. It was like being on an exotic
island.

Wow!”
I said gasping.“This is a amazing.”

Yes,
it's my favourite place in the hotel. You have to see it during the
night, it's just marvelous under the moonlight. Maybe on our next
date I'll bring you here.”

My stomach contracted.“Our
next date?” I repeated helplessly. He didn't reply.

Was this a date?All of a
sudden I was going to start panicking. I looked at him, he was
looking down in my eyes. He smiled and then grabbed my hand and we
walked inside down a narrow corridor that led to the administration
area. He then stopped in front of a big room and...

This
is where I pass the majority of my time,” he said while he
showed me a kind of big board room. “Here I do my meetings on a
daily basis.” He added.

You
must be a very busy person, do you work a lot?” I asked gazing
briefly at him.

Well,
I think so... someone used to tell me I was a workaholic and that I
had to slow down. I used to think about nothing else but work. I
think I used to exaggerate, only now I realise. But I have changed
really. I'm not that person anymore.” He said feeling the need
to emphasize that. Why was he telling me all this?

Come
on let me take you to the reception. I want you to meet Mary.”

Mary?
Who's Mary, your girlfriend?”

What?
Oh no.. no girlfriends.” he laughed “She's the
receptionist.”

We walked some more and
finally we arrived at the reception. It was wonderful as every part
of this luxurious hotel. There I met Mary. She was very sweet and
when she saw me, she came out to greet me. She seemed so happy to see
me, as if she knew me and was a long time since she last saw me. I
felt strange. She grabbed my hands in hers and smiled at me.

This
is Cassidy.” Tyler said. “The woman I told you about.”

He had told his receptionist
about me? What a weird thing to do, I couldn't understand? Why would
he ever tell her about me, a girl who he had met just a few hours
earlier?

Pleased
to meet you.” Mary was saying. I nodded shyly and smiled back.
He winked at her and then asked me to follow him in the office. He
opened the door and we went in. He had a nice office, modern and
spacious. I took a look around while he opened an adjacent door which
led to another office; smaller but still nice and it had a kind of a
feminine touch which the other lacked.

Do
you like it?” He asked as I followed him in.

Yes.”

This
would be your office if you accept to work for me.”

Tyler
I don't know... I mean why me?”

Because
I like you and I'm sure you'll be an excellent accountant.” He
said certain.

How
do you know? You didn't even see my certificates.. and..”

Oh,
those aren't so important.”

No?”
I was stunned. The whole situation was getting weirder by the second.
I meet a stranger who invites me to lunch; who flirts with me and
then offers me even a job without even asking for a CV. There was
something very strange happening here. I was about to open my mouth
when he continued.

The
work is not difficult for someone who have studied accounts and I
would show you what to do.”

I sat down on the desk and
looked around, there were piles of files to be done. Probably he
needed an accountant badly if he was trying to convince me to accept.

Any
plans for tomorrow?” He asked as he leaned against the desk.

I...”

We
could go out again. A proper date. I don't know, perhaps we could go
for dinner this time.. at night things are quite  different.”

What did he mean? I was
already feeling my stomach aching...

They
would be more romantic,” he then added as if he had read my
mind.

Another
date?”

Why
not? I really like you. I thought you liked me too.” He said
while he raised a hand to my face and caressed it. I felt
uncomfortable. I pulled back getting on my feet and walked to a safe
distance from him.

Who
did this office belong too? It's different from your yours.. I can
tell it belonged to a female.” I said trying to divert him off
the subject. I wasn't feeling at ease at all. That look he had in his
eyes was intriguing yet it made me feel nervous.

Yes
there was a female here but she left.” He was standing behind
me now. “It will be yours if you only accept to come and work
here.”

I'll
have to think about it, as I told you I'm going to start studying
again.”

You
could come even twice or three times a week if you want. It would be
part-time. Don't you need to earn some money?”

Well, in reality I did. I
didn't like to depend on my mum.

I'll
think about it OK?”

OK.”
Saying this, I felt his hands wrapping around my waist from behind. I
felt my body stiffening.

Cassidy,
maybe it's time to have my prize.”

His hands tightened around
my waist as he pulled me into him. His scent invaded my nostrils and
my body froze for a second. I could feel my body tingling especially
where his hands rested. One of his hands left my waist to go up my
neck. I swallowed while his thumb moved on my throat. I was feeling
my body on fire. I could feel his warm breath on my neck which made
me get goosebumps. Suddenly I felt his lips on my nape trailing
little kisses. I thought I was going to die there on the spot. My
body awakened and my stomach twisted so much that it hurt. He then
turned me to face him. His eyes looked deeply in mine, they were
burning with lust. He wanted me and badly. I felt terrified all of a
sudden...

A
kiss.” He said huskily. “That's all I'm asking for.”

I was going to protest when
I felt his lips on mine. He captured my mouth with hunger and forced
it open. I felt his tongue invading my mouth, exploring the inner and
caressing my tongue. The fingers of one hand combed into my hair
pulling me more into him while the other ran down my body till it
found my bottom and down under my dress. At that moment, my eyes
widened. My God, what the hell was I doing? NO... I struggled to get
free and pushed him. He looked stunned at me. I gasped as I tried to
catch my breath.

I
have to go!” I said as I felt the sudden need to be far away
from him. I wasn't feeling well and even though I couldn't deny that
his kiss had been enjoyable I knew that this was completely wrong.

Cassidy..
why? I'm sorry I didn't mean to...”

Goodbye...”
I didn't want to hear him. I opened the door and ran away without
even saying bye to Mary. I stormed out of there and walked in the
streets. Probably it would have been better if I had called mum to
come for me since I didn't have the tiniest idea of where I was, but
I didn't want to wait there. I just wanted to go away;away from him.
He had provoked in me sensations that I never thought to experience.
My body was burning and aching for him. I felt needy but I didn't
want that. It was pure lust from both sides. Lust was all I had seen
in his eyes, hunger and desire. I knew that if   I had stayed
there he wouldn't have stopped and I wouldn't have had the strength
to stop him. Even if my body didn't seem to agree, lust was not what
I wanted. Having sex with a guy I just got to know was not what I
wished even though he was drop dead gorgeous. Probably any girl would
have fought to be in my place. I couldn't deny that I was curious to
know what was under those perfect clothes. To feel my hands over his
muscled body. He had kissed me with such passion that I still
struggled to breathe. Just then I saw a taxi and stopped it. I went
in and gave the address to the driver. I put my hand on my heart that
kept beating frantically. My God, he had affected me in a way I
didn't think was possible.  I kept thinking about his eyes, they
were strikingly beautiful. His gaze was so passionate almost
devilish. I needed to get home. I needed to feel safe. With him, I
wasn't. He controlled me in a way that was unbelievable. My body had
betrayed me in his presence. I had ached for him and now I just felt
terribly guilty and dirty. I sighed as I thought about David, about
his gentle eyes, his beautiful smile and I already felt better. I had
missed him and I really wanted to see him. They were two very
different guys and I like them both but only one could have my heart.
