For me, the afterglow was something special. I had my man’s life essence inside me, along with his now-deflating cock. His hot body draped over mine, his scent surrounding me, overloading my senses again.

As he started to withdraw from, me, he froze. “Uh…babe?”

“Yes,” I questioned back.

“Um, there’s uh…well, we didn’t use a rubber.”

I reached around and pulled him back into me, pushing my ass up to grind into him. “I know.”

“You know?” He was clearly surprised, and sounded a bit agitated.

“Yeah, I know.”

“But…”

“But? You’ve gotten your Christmas wish,” I whispered, hoping he’d understand what I meant.

“What?” His voice broke.

“I asked you what you wanted for Christmas, and I’ve just given it to you.”

He flipped me over, almost violently, his arms on either side of my shoulders, his big hairy body hovering over mine as I smiled up at him.

“You mean it?” The look on his face was that of total disbelief. “You’re not just saying that or…”

“I mean it. If you want me, then I’m all yours,” I smiled at the look on his face. “On one condition.”

A worried look struck his face. “Okay…what?”

“You promise me that you’ll stay out of the kitchen and never try and cook anything. I have no doubt you’d burn the whole house down.”

With a huge sob, he dropped down on me, rolled us to our sides and hugged me, squeezing the breath out of me. “Oh, please God, don’t let this be a dream.” He sobbed into my shoulder. I could feel his tears roll across my skin.

I held him and stroked his head. “It’s not a dream, Adam. I love you too, and you’ve got me lock, stock and barrel, if that’s what you want.”

Lifting his head, he looked at me. “I’ve never wanted anything so much in my life. I’ve loved you for a long time, J.J.” He started covering my face in kisses, his scruffy beard scratching and tickling me, making me laugh and push him away.

With a big whoop, he suddenly jumped out of bed, pumping his fist in the air. He started dancing around the room, his big dick flopping around, making me laugh so hard I was crying.

“Oh, my God…I gotta call Ma!”

He grabbed his phone from the nightstand and hit a button, speed dialing his mother. “Ma! Ma! You’re never going to believe this…Ma, let me finish!...Yes, I know what time it is, will you hush now? Ma, he said yes, he’s gonna marry me!”

While they were speaking, I took the opportunity to visit the bathroom and clean up a bit, and then went to the kitchen to get some coffee started. As the brew was finishing, Adam walked up behind me, hugging me to his warm body, as I poured each of us a large mug of coffee.

“You know you’ve made me the happiest man in the world, don’t you?” The emotion in his voice was ringing clear as a bell.

“I guess that makes me the second happiest, then?” I turned in his arms and kissed each of his nipples, before letting him kiss my mouth.

Pulling him into the living room, I asked him to make us a fire. As I watched the marvelous piece of art in front of me, I began to wonder if this could all be real. I was happier than I could ever remember being.

When Adam had a blazing fire going, I couldn’t wait any longer. I was like a kid at Christmas, which in a way I was. I wanted to give my present to Adam. “Go look under the tree.”

He looked at me questioningly, before crawling over to the tree, treating me to a spectacular view of his killer butt as he went. He rummaged around a bit, eventually finding the package I’d left there for him. He turned to look at me, surprised.

“How…when…this wasn’t here last night,” he exclaimed.

“You sure about that?”

Beaming, he tore the paper off. The look of surprise on his face was the payoff. He looked from the box of power tools, back to me, then back to the tools again. It was priceless.

“I can’t believe it…this is perfect. How did you know?”

I just shrugged, not giving him an answer.

After covering me with kisses, he went back to the tree, bringing out the gift that I had discovered last night while hiding his. I opened it, and there was the set of pots and pans I’d been drooling over at William Sonoma. I almost cried.

I hugged him tight, thanking him. One thing led to another, and our coffee turned cold as we heated up, yet again.

* * * * *

Even all these years later, I will always remember that first Christmas morning that Adam and I shared. Now, whenever someone asks me what my favorite holiday memory is, I unfailingly smile, remembering that big flopping dick as Adam danced around the room, announcing to his Ma that we were going to get married. Now my answer to that once dreaded question is always, “The Christmas morning that I got engaged.” If Adam is there at the time, we both grin at each other like silly kids, remembering it like it was yesterday. Many years have now passed and our hair has started to turn gray, but I will always remember that Christmas morning and the warm, almost burning heat that inflamed my heart, and still does to this day.

What people are saying about My Hero….

“I was gonna say, "at the risk of sounding repetitive", but I am going to repeat myself time and again because I just adore this author. His books short or long never fail to make me feel wonderful and feeling in a much better place for having read them. My Hero does exactly what I thought it would and it was such a joy to read (I think I smiled most of the way through, sometimes even when I wanted to hit the two MC's)”

“What a delightful, and erotic, little tale. One stop shopping; you've got it all here: Identity Comfort, Identity Questioning, Love, Lover's Quarrel (complete with make-up sex), Respect, Reconciliation, Confusion, Understanding, and I'm sure I've left something out.”

“Well first thing to say is I could NOT put this down once I started!! Got absorbed straight into the story of these two gorgeous boys.”

“Everything from the cover to the blurb makes you just need to read this book. It has a brilliant story line that pulls you in and won’t let you go until the end. I did read the whole book in one sitting, I just couldn’t put it down.”

What people are saying about Hawk ‘n’ Harley…

From Mrs Condit and Friends Read books
- three different reviews

“Max Vos's Hawk N Harley hits me right where I love to read: love, romance, and family. I also love vignettes about reunions, and there is one in this short story. You know the type - I crushed on you in Junior High and here you are all grown up!”

“Max has written a fabulous story that is short in length, but packed full of charm, humor, and well rounded characters that are anything but boring. The character driven tale has a fantastically smooth plot from beginning to end, and his writing style is eloquently simple, humorously clear, and the HEA ending was fantastic.”

“This is the first story I've seen by the author and, although it's a short story, it was hot and sweet. The way he did the epilogue, showing the passage of time, made me smile and laugh (the crusty butt comment especially).”

“I have to say that without a doubt I love the range that this author has.
Hawk 'N' Harley is a meeting of two people, Dan and Hawk, and the blossoming of a potential relationship into an actual relationship, beautifully laid out and told.”

“Loved the story and the writing - for such a short I connected with the characters so easily - just wish it was longer! Will definitely be keeping an eye out for more from Max Vos.”

What people are saying about Sasquatch….

“I must say, this little book was wonderful. Max Vos hasn't disappointed me yet, and this was no exception.” Patricia Logan – Author

“I was absolutely blown away with this book. Love his writing style and will definitely read all works from this author.”

“Max is like a good matured bottle of wine I don't want just a glass of it, I want a box of six bottles!!”

“Max Vos is so good at creating hot sexy characters and writing great stories, my only complaint is he always leaves you begging for more of the steamy love scenes, can't wait for his next book!”

“In Sasquatch, Max has written another sweet, down-to-earth story with characters that definitely aren't what you expect, but in a good way. I'm eagerly looking forward to his next one!”
