CHAPTER FIFTY
-
ONE
Tiana
I twisted and turned all night. I kept calling Micah's phone, texted him, and left voicemails, but still hadn't heard from him. The last time I saw him was when he left with the girls. He was supposed to drop them off and come right back. Baby Micah was with his mother so this was supposed to be our date night.
I was sincerely worried because this was so not him. It wasn't like we were beefing or anything. Actually we were on good terms. I cut the TV on to see if there were any accidents or shootings that happened. I didn't see no breaking news or any new incidents. “God, please protect my husband,” I prayed as I laid my head back down.
I didn't want to get his mother involved in what we had going on, but I was a nervous wreck and I knew if anything happened she'd be the first to know. I grabbed the phone and dialed her number.
“Hello,” she whispered.
“Hey, Ma, sorry to wake you up. But have you seen your son?”
“No, why, did something happen?”
“No, I just can't reach him since this evening. I thought maybe you seen him.”
“No, I haven't. Hold on; lemme try calling him off the house phone.” I anxiously waited until she came back on the phone. “Baby, his phone is going straight to voicemail.”
“Oh, okay,” I said. I was disappointed.
“It's okay, don't worry. He probably out in them streets and his phone went dead. You know how men are. Child, get you some rest. He will come home soon.”
“All right, Ma. Sorry to wake you up again.”
I hung up the phone feeling worse, because if anything happened his mother would have been aware. My mind started wondering if my husband was laid up with another bitch and forgot to make it home. I quickly shook the feeling. I had no proof he had ever cheated or was cheating on me.
I walked downstairs to make a cup of ginger tea. I walked over to the window and peeped out there. My nerves were torn up. I felt a tear drop from my eye. I quickly wiped it away and walked back up the stairs with my tea. I drank the tea and browsed the Internet. I then logged on Facebook to see if he was online, but he wasn't. I wished I had that bitch Ayana's number, because I would sure ask where my husband was since he left here to go to her house. But I doubted that Micah would be over there with her. He despised that bitch after the shit she put his kids through.
I finished my tea and lay down on the bed, still worrying about the whereabouts of my husband.
* * *
I wasn't fully asleep when I heard someone entered the house. I jumped up and sat up in the bed. I had the gun I bought in the drawer close to my side of the bed. As soon as the person hit my room, I noticed it was Micah.
“Where the fuck you been?”
“Sorry, babe, I was with the niggas. My phone was dead, so I couldn't call you.”
I looked at this nigga and I could tell that he was on some bullshit. “Really, Micah? Did you forget that we're supposed to be going to dinner and the movie? You really think I believe that shit? Boy, I swear, you're fucking a liar.”
“I swear on my life, B, I ain't lying to you. T, why can't you just believe me that I ain't cheating? I'm not, B,” he said, damn near pleading.
“I swear, Micah, if I find out you fucking with any one of these old nasty-ass bitches, I'm going to divorce your ass and move the fuck out of this house. I'm about sick of your shit. I could've stayed single if I knew this was how your ass would be acting. Now I see what Ayana was talking about.”
“What the fuck you mean, what Ayana was talking about? Don't you ever bring up that bitch's name when we're talking 'bout us. I was a good nigga to that bitch; she was the fucking whore,” he yelled.
That kind of threw me off. He'd been mad with her plenty of times, but I'd never heard him call her any kind of names and definitely not a whore. It seemed like he was drunk or something. “Are you drunk? Yo, what the hell is really going on with you?”
“Listen, I said I'm sorry and I promise it won't happen again. I need to take a quick shower.” He walked off into the bathroom.
Hell no, I really didn't believe shit he was saying now! When a nigga comes home and rushes to the shower, unless he getting off work I thought the nigga trying to wash another bitch pussy scent off his dick.
I got up and ran into the bathroom. He was already washing off. I picked up his dirty drawers and smelled them. Nothing jumped out at me but sweat. I threw them back on the floor and walked out of the bathroom. I sat on the bed. I wasn't feeling this. Was I overreacting? I was never an insecure chick, but lately my actions were just that.
I crawled back on my side of the bed. I was happy he wasn't in jail or dead. I pretended that I was asleep when he came out of the bathroom. I was still pissed off, but without proof, it was useless to keep on going. I would accuse him, and he would deny it. I knew for a fact whatever was done in the dark would definitely come out in the light!
CHAPTER FIFTY

TWO
Ayana
After Ant and I had sex, he started acting really stank toward me. Whenever he dropped the children off, he barely mumbled, “Hey.” Shit I had no idea why he mad though. I really should have been the one who was upset. He fucked me, got up, and went home to his bitch!
I stood outside waiting as he pulled up to drop the kids off. I walked over to his car. “Hey, Mama,” they said in unison as they got out of the car and ran toward the house. He was about to pull off when I walked up on his car.
“Yo, what is your problem? You barely say two words to me ever since that night you left here.”
“Yo, B, ain't nothing to really say. I don't know what the fuck happened, but I do know I didn't willingly get in your bed.”
“Ant, you sound stupid as fuck! You're saying I forced a grown-ass man to get in my bed, suck on my pussy for over twenty minutes, and fuck me? Come on with that bullshit. That might sound reasonable to you, or when you're explaining that shit to your bitch, but not to a normal person. You saw me in my little shorts and you wanted to fuck. Plain and simple. I missed fucking you, so I gave you the pussy. You enjoyed it, just like I did.”
“Yo, if it's like you said, why the fuck can't I remember anything? I can only go by what the fuck you're telling me.”
“I 'ont fucking know. Maybe you just suppressing that shit, so you don't have to accept the fact that you wanted me that bad,” I said with a grin plastered across my face.
“Ayana, you're full of shit. Nice try, but just know we are over and done with. I'm a married man and I'm faithful to my wife.” He started the car.
“Yeah, okay. That's not what you're screaming when you was head deep sucking on this pussy.” I patted my front.
“I swear, B, I be trying to tolerate your ol' dumb ass 'cause of my kids, but I swear I wish you'd just get the fuck on out of my life.”
He backed out and pulled off without saying another word. I bet you that ass was in the car racking his brain as to what happened between us! Silly fool had no idea that I put that date rape drug on him.
I walked back into the house, ready to deal with these bad-ass kids of mine. I sure wished their daddy would stop playing and move back in so he could take care of their bad asses. Especially that Dominique; that little heifer so caught up on her so-called Auntie Tiana, I tried to let her little ass know that she wasn't related to that bitch at all.
* * *
I wasn't feeling too good. I was nauseated and feeling weak. I figured it was because I was working hard, and I wasn't eating like I was supposed to. Even though I didn't want to, I forced myself to get up out of the bed. I fixed eggs and bacon with some fried potatoes. I was hoping I would feel better after I ate. False. The minute I swallowed pieces of the food, my mouth gathered water; and I knew that feeling all too well. I ran to the bathroom, and hung over the toilet seat as I vomited up everything I just ate. I hung over the toilet seat until nothing was left to come up but that green nasty liquid.
I got up, brushed my teeth, and washed my face. I stumbled to bed. I knew this feeling all too well, but shit this couldn't be. I lay there, pondering. I recalled when Ant and I had sex a few weeks ago; he didn't use a condom and didn't pull out.
“Oh, shit,” I yelled out, but quickly regrouped. Why was I yelling out? If I was pregnant with Anthony's child, this would mean Tiana would be livid. I know that bitch too well, and I was pretty sure she would divorce his ass, which meant I would have a better chance to get my man back.
I ain't goin' to lie, I wasn't sure who the fuck my baby daddy was. Shit, I fucked Daquan, Keyshawn, the fucking Indian man at the hotel, and Ant. I shook my head in disgust at myself. How did I allow myself to get caught up in some shit like this? Fuck it, I wasn't going to stress myself out. As far as I was concerned, this was Ant's baby until he proved different. I knew once his bitch found out, her pride was going to be crushed and she wouldn't stick around.
I looked in the mirror and noticed that my hair was a hot mess. I decided it was time to take out this weave and get a fresh sew-in. I took a shower, and got dressed. I made sure I was on point, because it'd been a minute since I went around the way to the hair salon, and all these messy-ass bitches be around there.
I pulled up at the Beauty Café on Columbia Road. I parked across the street and sashayed toward the store front. I quickly peeped Daquan's car parked at the entrance. I straightened my clothes and put an extra pep in my step. I saw him staring at me as soon as I got closer. “You can stop staring now, boo; it's only me,” I said as I stepped in front of him.
“Shawty, go ahead with all that extra shit,” he said, looking all nervous and shit.
“Damn, why you looking like you want to take a shit? Your bitch must be somewhere nearby,” I said sarcastically.
“I done told your ass, go on now. I ain't wit' this drama shit right now.”
“Boy, please, you wasn't saying that when you was fucking and sucking on this pussy.”
“Say what?” I heard a bitch's voice said. I quickly turned around to face his bitch. I didn't personally know her, but I knew of her and I'd seen pics of her on Facebook.
His face turned red and he looked like he was about to pull a disappearing act.
“You heard me right. This nigga acting brand new. He damn sure wasn't acting like this when he was fucking me, and sucking on my pussy—”
Before I could finish my sentence, this bitch popped me in my face, knocking me backward. I dropped my purse and went straight for this bitch's high yellow face. I used my car keys to dig a hole in that bitch's face.
Slap! Slap! “Get the fuck off her,” the nigga said as he slapped my face numerous times. That shit hurt, but I wasn't gonna let her ass go. I continued pounding on that bitch.
“My face! My face. This bitch cut my face,” the bitch screamed out.
“Yo, bitch, get the fuck up.” He snatched me hard and threw me to the side.
“Fuck you, nigga, you and that punk bitch,” I said as I held my head. I felt to see if there was blood coming out, but there was none. The pain, however, was intense.
“Bitch, I should blow your fucking brains out right here on this concrete, but I got you another time. Now get your bitch ass up and get the fuck out of here.”
I was hurting too bad to respond to this nigga the way I really wanted to.
“Girl, you a'ight? What the hell happened out here?” the old, fake-ass hairdresser bitch said.
“Bitch, get away from me.” I managed to stand up. I looked over at the bitch who was bleeding from her face. There were also patches of weave along with that ho hair on the ground below. I looked down on my keys and saw that I had blood all over them, and also all over me. I thought about calling the police on this fuck nigga, but judging by the injury on her face I was pretty sure I would be locked up as well.
I dragged myself across the street to my car and jumped in, quickly pulling off. My head and my body were hurting bad. I was angry as fuck, but also happy that pretty bitch wouldn't be that damn pretty after all. Every time she took a look in the mirror, she would remember that ass whupping I served her ass.
So much for getting my damn hair done. I knew Daquan wasn't into calling no police; however, I wasn't too sure of his bitch. It's bad enough I had to worry about Tiana's bitch ass snitching on me; now I had to worry about another bitch.
A bitch can't catch a break. Fuck this day.
I decided to go home and see if this headache would go away.
On my way home, my phone started to ring. It was funny; e'erytime some shit pop off, this nigga was the first one to call my phone. “Hello,” I answered with an attitude.
“Hello there, Miss Beasly. I'm just calling to check on you, see how you doing.”
“Are you having me followed? Because for some strange reason you're always popping up or calling when some shit happens.”
“I told you that I won't stop until I bring down that baby daddy of yours. I think you're a smart woman and you know that it's only a matter of time before he and his crew are arrested.”
“Okay, so if you know all of this, why do you keep calling me or bothering me about him? I'm not with him anymore, so you need to go bother him and his new bitch.” I regretted ever answering his phone call in the first place because he was getting real annoying.
“Why are you protecting this sleaze ball? He don't give a fuck about you and your daughters. He left y'all and shacked up wit' that other girl over in Stone Mountain. I think the best way to get him back is to help us get him off these streets and out of your girls' lives for good.”
“You know what, Detective Robinson, you really don't give a fuck about me and my girls; you're pretending. I got to go. I heard enough.” I clicked the end button.
Detective Robinson thought I was a stupid bitch, but I was far from that. There was no way I was going to give them anything on Ant if there wasn't any benefit for me in it.
I threw the phone on the seat and cut the music on. It wouldn't be a bad idea to tell everything I knew about all these niggas who did me wrong. Especially that nigga Tahj. I would never forget how that nigga tried to kill me. The last I heard, his ass left town because Ant and his crew was after him.
Ant, Keyshawn, and Daquan better watch their backs.
