Now that he’d come up with this idea for a little fun he was excited. Cole didn’t get into hardcore Dominance and submission. It wasn’t what he looked for. But every now and then he did enjoy playing around and making his lover crazy for his touch. He liked to be in charge most of the time in bed and it made him crazy aroused when his partner did exactly as he said. However, there were times when Cole didn’t mind the other person taking charge either.

Tonight he was going to tease Kendra until she was out of her mind for him.

He might have sped a little but he still drove safely. When he pulled into his drive he glanced at the clock on the dash. He had a few minutes before Kendra should arrive so he’d timed things pretty well.

Cole stopped by his mailbox but it was empty, so he strolled up to the door and unlocked it. The house was quiet and he wasn’t used to it. Normally Cocoa and sometimes Chloe would be rushing to the door to greet him. It might be stupid, but he missed it.

Instead of worrying about the dogs not being there, Cole closed the front door, leaving it unlocked. He switched the low lamp on in the living room but kept the other lights in the house off.

Inside his bedroom, he went to the closet and turned on the light. He closed the door until it was only barely ajar. Between the closet light and the sunlight through the curtains, he’d be able to see Kendra clearly.

He strolled over to the bed and folded down the comforter and top sheet. He ran his hand over the soft fabric to smooth out the wrinkles. Satisfied, he nodded then went to the bathroom. There he did close and lock the door behind him. He didn’t think that Kendra would go against his orders and join him but he wanted to make sure. Any other time he’d love to have her wet and naked in the shower with him but they did have limited time tonight. He didn’t think that his friends would give him a pass on the barbecue.

Cody and Aubrey had taken an extended honeymoon, and other than a small wedding ceremony, their friends hadn’t been able to celebrate their union. Cole did want to see his friends, even if he’d rather keep Kendra tied to his bed for the entire weekend.

Cole started the shower and adjusted the temperature before he began to strip. Once he was naked he stuck his hand under the water to make sure it was hot enough. He stepped inside the glass shower stall and stood under the hot water. He rolled his shoulders and his muscles began to unknot and relax.

The soap was on the ledge and he picked it up before he lathered up the washcloth he’d grabbed from the hook and washed himself down. He paid extra attention to his cock and balls since he planned to have Kendra’s mouth on him.

He rinsed off before he pumped some shampoo into his hand and scrubbed his head. Cole ducked his head under the water until all the shampoo was gone. The shower was quick but at least he was clean.

Cole twisted the knob off then reached out for the towel on the rack. The soft black fabric was a little harsh on his sensitive skin but he finished drying himself off.

Once he was done, he wrapped the towel around his waist. He paused by the door but didn’t hear any movement on the other side. Kendra should be there by now.

He cracked the door open, and yes Kendra had arrived while he’d been in the shower. Cole opened it the rest of the way and stepped out.

Kendra was on her knees at the end of the bed as he’d requested. She put her hands behind her back but she turned her head and smiled up at him. Cole found that he liked the fact that she didn’t keep her eyes on the ground. Kendra boldly ogled him.

“Hi,” she whispered.

“You look beautiful,” he told her.

She grinned wider as she straightened her shoulders. Cole strode up behind her and ran his hands through her hair. She let her head fall back while her eyes closed. He trailed a finger from her head down her cheek to her neck.

“Just remain still,” he said.

“Okay,” she said.

Cole dropped down to kneel against her. He was hard and his cock brushed against her lower back. The towel tented and he really didn’t need it. He wiped it off and tossed it over his shoulder. As he lowered his head to nibble on her shoulder he wrapped his right hand around her and cupped her breast.

To give Kendra credit she didn’t move a muscle, although she gasped as he plucked at her nipple.

He rocked against her, letting his erection drag over her skin. “We don’t have much time,” he told her.

“I know,” she responded.

“But we’re going to do things my way this time,” he said.

“Yes,” she agreed.

Cole nuzzled the side of her neck before he backed off and stood. He walked around her and fitted himself between Kendra and the bed. He sat on the edge before he palmed her cheek. “Suck me,” he demanded.

She didn’t wait. Only dropped her head forward and licked at the tip of his cock. Cole gripped his hard-on around the base and held his cock still for her.

When Kendra wrapped her lips around him he could have died happily. The moist heat from her mouth seeped into him and warmed his entire body. Cole kept his right hand around his shaft as he buried his left in Kendra’s thick hair. He tugged her down so that she took him deeper.

He didn’t force her, instead urged her to quicken the pace. He rocked up as she dipped down each time. Cole was careful not to gag her but it didn’t take long before he was really bucking up. When he was close enough that he was in danger of coming he tightened his hold on her hair and yanked.

“I want you to come,” Kendra told him after she’d lifted off.

“I will. My way, remember,” he said.

She nodded.

“On your back on the bed with your legs over the edge,” he ordered.

Kendra was fast moving.

“Good,” he praised before he dropped back down. Cole spread her legs then scooted forward. He ran his right hand from her knee down her inner thigh before he dipped two fingers through the wet folds of her pussy.

“Ugh!” She cried out while lifting her hips.

Cole lowered his mouth to her clit and sucked on the small bud as he plunged two fingers deep inside her. Her legs were trembling but he knew it was from excitement. He tongued her roughly as he added a third finger. She moaned as he filled her. He didn’t normally use this many digits but he wanted her to come. Cole rubbed his stubbled chin over her before going back to using his tongue.

Kendra screamed as she climaxed. Cole lapped up her juices as they flowed from her sweet cunt.

He withdrew his fingers before he stood. Cole grabbed his cock and started to pump. It didn’t take long before he was shaking and coming over her stomach and lower body. “Fuck, that’s hot.”

“Yeah.” Kendra’s eyes were glazed over and she had a small smile on her face. The flush on her cheeks told him how much she enjoyed these games they played. They were quite a match.

“Sweetheart,” he murmured as he kissed her forehead.

“Huh?” she blinked up at him.

“You need to get into the shower so we can go.” He looked at the clock on the nightstand. “We’ll be a little late but shouldn’t get too much ribbing. I suspect some of the others won’t be on schedule.”

“Fine, I’ll get up,” she whined. “But you owe me.”

“I’ll pay up,” he promised.

Chapter Twelve

Cole accepted a beer from Zak as Jamie hollered in greeting to him from across the yard at the grill. As soon as they’d arrived, Jade and Abilene had stolen Kendra and taken her into the kitchen to meet Aubrey. Cole glanced around to see if he could spot Cody.

“Cody and Luca got sent to the store for ice. I guess that was the one thing I was supposed to get and I forgot,” Zak told him.

“Then why didn’t you have to go?”

“Abilene said I’d probably get there, forget what I had been sent for and come back with more beer,” Zak explained.

Wow, someone’s really in trouble.
“I’d make a comment about you being in the doghouse but I’m not Luca.”

Zak laughed. “He’s already given me a ton of shit. Even he knows how important ice is for a cookout.”

“That’s pretty bad,” Cole agreed.

The back yard was large and impressive. Zak and Abilene had added a new, bigger patio set since the last time he’d been there. As their little group grew and the gathering had new members they hadn’t had much of a choice.

Everyone would love Kendra’s porch and yard. It was obvious that she enjoyed being outside and she actually had an old-timey porch swing. Cole had plans for that chair. “We should get together more often,” Cole stated. “Kendra’s place is great.”

“Yours isn’t too bad either,” Zak told him.

Cole nodded. “I’ll probably be spending a lot more time out on pack lands, though.”

“Oh?” Zak lifted an eyebrow. “Things have changed then?”

He took a long drink of his brew before he turned to his friend. “Taylor asked me if I would consider taking the Alpha position when he moves to the Wolf Council.”

Zak whooped and patted him roughly on the back. “Congrats, man.”

Cole staggered a little. “I haven’t accepted yet.”

“Accepted yet?” Jamie asked as he joined them.

“Our friend here is going to be Alpha to the local pack,” Zak said for him.

Cole shook his head. He should have told Zak to keep the news quiet for the time being but now, with Jamie knowing, there was no chance of that.

“That’s awesome.” Jamie gave him a small hug. It always amazed him how touchy-feely Jamie was but he kind of liked it.

“Thanks, but as I was telling Zak, I haven’t accepted yet,” Cole explained.

“Why not?” Jamie asked.

“I’m not even part of the pack and now I’m going to be responsible for every member?” Cole said. “That doesn’t seem odd to you?”

“You’re a natural leader and even if you’ve been alone for a long time your instincts are pushing at you to want this,” Zak said. “You’ll do it and I think you should. We’ll be here to help.”

The little place in his heart that had hardened when he’d left his home pack filled. Cole might have considered himself alone and without family but he’d been wrong.

Wasn’t that what the other Coalition agents and Jade had become? His family, his pack. He looked over as Kendra, Jade, Abilene, Brandy and Aubrey all exited the house, each carrying a plate or dish of food.

They might be a ragtag group but each of them was brilliant in their own way and every one of them had a heart of gold. They’d go to battle for one another and that was what Cole considered pack.

He found himself grinning wide.

“What’s that smile for?” Jamie nudged him.

“He figured out what we already knew. Cole’s already part of a pack, he just didn’t know it,” Zak stated smugly.

“Oh,” Jamie laughed. “Took him long enough.”

“Our wolf might be ferocious but that doesn’t mean he’s the sharpest tool in the shed,” Zak teased.

“Yeah.” Jamie nodded. “Not the brightest crayon in the box.”

Cole groaned. “Since when did the two of you turn into Luca?”

“I am grand and wonderful!”

Cole almost smacked himself in the forehead as Luca announced his presence with that comment. It would probably be bad form to run away, so he downed the rest of his beer before heading over to the porch with Zak and Jamie behind him.

Cody dropped the bags of ice he was carrying before putting his hand out to Cole. Cole took his hand then yanked him in for a manly hug while pounding on his back. “Welcome home.”

“Thanks.” Cody grinned as he slipped his arm around Aubrey’s waist. “It’s good to be back, even if we have to deal with Luca again.”

Luca threw a lime at Cody, who easily dodged the fruit and laughed.

“I don’t see why everyone picks on me,” Luca bitched.

“Because you act like a child,” Abilene told him.

Luca didn’t help his cause when he stuck out his tongue.

“It’s okay, baby.” Jade tugged Luca into her arms.

It was still weird for Cole to see his normally serious, work-oriented partner with a goofball like Luca but he also saw how Luca had lightened her up and made her enjoy life.

Kendra stood to the side, and Cole motioned her forward. “Have you met Kendra?” he asked Cody.

“Not yet,” Cody admitted.

Cole made introductions as Abilene ordered Jamie to get the steaks off the grill before they burned. They moved as a group to the large picnic-style table and took their seats. He slid his hand into Kendra’s under the table and she peered over at him.

“Everything okay?” he asked.

She nodded. “I like your friends.”

“I do too,” he whispered.

Jamie came back with a platter full of red meat.

There was joking and teasing, kissing and soft touches by all those at the table. Cole should have paid better attention to how close he’d become to the others. He was right where he belonged.

Zak was right. He was going to be the new Alpha. It didn’t matter how hard he would have to work, Cole wanted it.

He’d already been planning to talk to Taylor later that night to ask his questions and he’d still do that, but he wanted to give the Alpha his answer as well. The platter of meat was passed over to him and he forked a piece for Kendra and dropped it on her plate before filling his own. Cole piled his dish until there was more food than he might be able to eat.

Oh well, good food and great friends. It was the perfect evening.

* * * *

“Do you still want to talk to Taylor tonight?” Kendra asked as he pulled up in front of her cabin.

“Yeah, but I should check on Cocoa and Chloe first,” he said.

“Oh,” she laughed. “I meant to tell you that he volunteered to check on them and let them out to use the bathroom and feed them while we were gone.”

“That was nice of him.” Cole appreciated it.

“Well, he texted me earlier and said that the dogs demanded they come home with him until we got back. He seems particularly in love with Chloe,” she told him.

Cole laughed. That was his girl. “That one’s sneaky. She usually gets us men wrapped around her little paw.”

“I already love her myself,” she admitted. “Anyway, since they’re at the Alpha house I can walk over with you then take them for a walk while you talk to Taylor.”
