Cree Walker grew up as a ward of the state of Maine and she often found herself day dreaming when things got hard. Developing an imagination wasn’t a luxury for Cree; it was her means of survival. She actually learned to read later on in life due to being transferred from one school to another for the better part of her childhood, but she came to live in a home where education and especially books were treasured. There, her foster mother taught her it wasn’t important what you read, it only important
that
you read. This is where she truly discovered her love for the written word.

Whisper on a Scream
, the first book in the Sugar & Spice Series, was written in about four days. The idea came to her while listening to an old song on the radio. Finally, after seven years and losing the original copy of the book in a flood, she decided to try having it published.

Today, Cree works as an advanced psychiatric technician for both children and adults, but hopes to one day make writing her full-time career. She spends her free time thinking up more delicious works for her ever-increasing fan base, appearing as a guest blogger or for interviews on several websites throughout the Internet, including her most recent appearance on the Paranormal Romance Guild Website as a special featured author for the month of July 2012.
