Gently pulling out of her, he pulled her up and carried her into the bathroom, turning the shower on. “A day? I have to name a day? That’s like a commitment.”
Tara slapped his ass as she climbed in the shower behind him. “Yep. There will be no more nookie till you take the plunge, and you better ask nicely. ”
Standing under the hard spray of the water, he grinned at her, “Then I insist for the future of all our potential geeky kids, that you, Tara Douglas be my wife. Now come closer so we can talk about this getting hitched thing.”
She soaped his chest, lingering on the hard lines of his abdomen. “Talk? Hah! I know what you want to

about. First, you have to tell me that you love me.”
He tilted her jaw up and kissed her lips, “Jeez, you want it all don’t you, you demanding wench. Okay, ” he mocked reluctance, “Tara Douglas, I love you. ”
“A lot? Or only a little?”
Dropping kisses on her wet eyelids he chuckled, “A lot. More than my tuba, even. ”
Sighing against his lips, she replied, “Oh, that is heavy. All girls want to be cherished more than a tuba. I guess I love you too, August Guthrie and I’ll consent to be your wife on one condition. ”
