Pain overshadowed everything for a moment. Cade held still as she adjusted to the new sensation of being filled and stretched. Draven continued to rub and suckle, and she wasn’t sure if she liked both sensations of pain and pleasure. Tears leaked from her eyes.

“Take a deep breath,” Cade murmured. “It’ll fade.”

“It hurts.” She gasped.

“Come on, deep breath. Relax your muscles. That’s it, just breathe. Think about what Draven is doing to you, how good he’s making you feel.”

Dove did as he said, little by little letting her body relax and accept the huge shaft that stretched her. The pain eased somewhat, but she was still a little uncomfortable.

Slowly, Cade pulled out, only to push back in again.

“Oh,” she moaned. The discomfort hadn’t totally gone away, but the pain wasn’t quite so sharp either. She felt so full that she wasn’t sure if it was a pleasant feeling or not, but there was no denying the lust she saw shining in both men’s eyes, so she relaxed as much as she could.

“That’s it,” Cade murmured. “You feel so good, Dove. So fucking tight. Can you feel me touching every bit of you inside?”

“Oh, yes.”

He surged inside her, over and over, and she was fascinated with the pleasure on his face. Next to her, Draven had taken his dick in his hand, slowly pumping up and down as he stared at her body. She appreciated that he wasn’t pounding into her like she’d read in romance books. She didn’t think she could take that right now.

Still, his thrusts began to build in tempo, and soon a pleasant tingle began to build, exactly like when he’d finger-fucked her. She tentatively moved her hips with him.

“Ah… Dove!” Cade cried as he thrust deeply into her and held still. His orgasm hit, and she felt him swell within her. Then he was shaking as he surged up, burying as deeply as possible as he came and came. The knowledge that she had caused him to lose control filled her and made the butterflies resurge in her belly.

“My turn,” Draven said.

Dove saw he was already sheathed with a condom.

As Cade withdrew from her, his body quaked with little aftershocks. He kissed her tenderly then fell to the side as Draven settled between her thighs. He twined their fingers together.

“I know you’re probably sore,” he said. “I can stop. Just say the word, and this ends.”

She shook her head. “No. I want you, John. You and Cade have been my fantasy. Please, let me feel you too.”

He closed his eyes and lowered his forehead until it touched hers, then he began to push inward. He rocked a little forward then back, letting her get used to his size. Instantly, she realized he was a little wider in girth than Cade.

“Oh!” she moaned. She felt a set of fingers touch her clit and she saw Cade’s hand between her and Draven. He rubbed her little nub again and pleasure shot up her spine.

“I know you don’t think you can,” he murmured into her ear, “but I want you to come as John fucks you.”

She shook her head. “I don’t think—”

“Shh,” Cade whispered. “Don’t think. Feel. Feel me rubbing your little jewel. Feel John’s cock filling you up. Feel us loving you, Dove.”

His words were seductive magic, which had her relaxing even more as Draven surged inside her body. He started out slowly and built up speed. The stimulation of Cade’s fingers on her clit managed to do the impossible. She felt her body quickening, the build of pleasure surging from deep within. Draven pounded into her, and soon her hips moved of their own accord, rising to meet him as he worked deeper into her body. She didn’t even notice when Cade’s hand disappeared. Sweat rolled off their bodies, breaths mingled together. No words were spoken—they didn’t need them.

She and Draven were panting, moaning, and Dove knew they were spiraling together. In and out, in and out as Dove wound tight, tight, tighter. Suddenly the spring recoiled, flinging her off a precipice. Stars literally lit up behind her eyes as she cried out in abandonment.

“Yes!” Draven cried.

She dimly realized he was climaxing with her. The pressure on her clit eased and all three of them sagged onto the bed.

Before she drifted off to sleep, she thought she heard Cade say, “You knew I wouldn’t be able to leave if this happened, didn’t you?”

* * * *

Somewhere stuck between waking and sleep, the nightmare crept in. Her mind told her it was a dream, but how could it be a dream when it felt so real?

Dove cringed back as the older man lifted her chin with a finger. He had cold, black eyes, the kind that held no soul, and he studied her as if she were nothing more than a slab of meat.

“I told you to get me an Indian,” he informed her abductor coldly.

“I did get you an Indian!”

“You moron. The kind of Indian with feathers, not a dot head!” the old man barked out. “We live in fucking Wyoming. How could you possibly not understand I meant a fucking squaw! He has a buyer who wants an American Indian, not an Indian Indian, you stupid shit. Now get me a Shoshone girl. Hell, they’re everywhere, so it should be easy.”

“What do I do with this one?”

“If I had the time, I’d break her in myself, but I don’t, so I don’t fucking care what you do with her. Just make sure you kill her when you’re done.”

The meaning was all too obvious and Dove shrank back in terror. The two men left and slammed the door behind them. Once again, the darkness engulfed her. She moved her wrists and pain shot through her, causing her to gasp around the gag. She heard the men upstairs, heavy footfalls stomping on the floorboards. She looked around to determine if she could see a window or any way out, but it was too dark. She heard water and rose, carefully and slowly examining the parameters of the room. She splashed through a small trickle of water and she figured it was from the river that had to be nearby. The foundation was stone in which large boulders had been chipped and fitted together precisely, which meant that the only way in or out was through the door.

A moment later, the footfalls returned on the stairs and the door opened. Her abductor stalked in, the light making it easy for him to find her. He grabbed her bound wrists, causing her to gasp with pain, and brought one hand high before slapping her soundly across the face. She fell, but with him holding her hands, all she really did was slide down until she kneeled in front of him. He bent over her and grabbed her jaw, wrenching her face upward. Tears leaked out of the corner of her eyes as she stared at his ugly face.

“You want me to hurt you, girl?”

Dove shook her head, unable to talk.

“Then you stay put, hear me? I’ve gotta go find me a squaw girl instead of you. If I find you tried to leave or made a peep, I’ll hurt you so bad you’ll be begging me to die. Then I’ll carve you up and bury your pieces in different parts of Wyoming so they’ll never find all of you. Hear me?”

Dove nodded frantically.

The man shoved her away and she landed in the trickle of water. He threw two things at her—a jar of peanut butter and a box of crackers.

“Food until I get back. Remember my warning, girl.”

Then he was gone, slamming the door and leaving her in darkness.

Dove sat up in bed, her heart thumping so hard her chest hurt. She was panting and sweating and it took her a few minutes to realize that she was in bed with both Cade and Draven. Safe. Far away from that dark hole that had almost become her tomb. As her heart rate returned to normal, she lay back down and let their breathing lull her back to sleep.

Chapter Twenty

Dove’s eyes shot open, her heart thumping painfully from the haunted images that still teased her. The nightmare had returned. She sat up, wanting the dream to fade as quickly as possible, and that’s when she realized that she was alone in bed.

She remembered what had happened last night.

Her body felt a little sore, but more importantly, she felt alive.

Loved.

Content.

She smiled, unable to contain her joy, and threw the covers back. The sight of blood on the white sheets sent embarrassment flooding her face and she rose, quickly stripping the bed. Even the pad underneath was stained, and she snagged that too, then she headed out of Draven’s bedroom to her own. She piled the sheets on the bed. She’d deal with them later.

She took a quick shower, dressed then hurried to make Draven’s bed with clean sheets. Having had period accidents over the years, she knew she was going to have to use cold water to get the blood out of the sheets, along with some bleach. Thank goodness they were white.

When she came downstairs, the house was empty and she noticed it was close to noon. She heard noise outside and glanced out on the front porch. Draven and Cade were working on the carport, clearing it out from all the junk that had accumulated over the years. They wore heavy gloves as they lifted some type of rusted bike frame and moved it onto a stretched out blue tarp. She pushed open the door and stepped outside.

“Good afternoon, sleepy head,” Draven teased as he and Cade set the frame down.

“Sorry, I guess I was more tired than I thought,” she said. Warmth stole through her cheeks.

“Don’t be sorry,” Cade replied, his brown eyes warm as he looked her over from head to foot. “We wore you out last night.”

Draven chuckled and took off his gloves. “Are you hungry?”

She nodded.

“Let me and Cade get cleaned up and we’ll head into town for some lunch,” he said.

“Yeah, I need to check in with the field office anyway,” Cade murmured.

Minutes later, Dove got behind Cade on his bike and the three of them roared down the road toward the edge of town. The day was bright and lovely, not too hot. Bugs swarmed through the warm air. A bug hitting an arm or a leg at sixty miles an hour hurt like a son of a bitch and left nasty bruises, so Dove was mindful to keep her mouth shut.

They pulled up to the diner, cut the engines. Several people glanced at them through the windows. She smiled at them and they tentatively returned it. She wanted people to know the Red Wolves were united and still strong.

Inside, Draven led them to the booth in the back, and she slid in next to him while Cade sat across from them. The waitress came over with cups of water, smiling, and the men went ahead and ordered burgers while Dove felt more inclined to breakfast.

“Dove, you ride back home with Draven while I head into town,” Cade said.

“We’ll follow you,” Draven told him. “I have to go into the shop today. Got a client coming in for a tat.”

“I’m trying to talk him into letting me work as a receptionist there,” Dove said brightly.

Cade shot her an amused glance that she had no idea how to interpret.

“Hopefully, after the investigation wraps up,” Cade said mockingly.

Draven gave the finger, a smile playing on his lips, and she relaxed. Whatever the conversation was about, she knew everything was still okay between her guys.

“So any leads on finding Gunner?” she asked, once the food had arrived.

He shook his head. “There’s an extra urgency to find him since we think he poisoned Gray Dog.”

Suddenly, her dream filtered through her mind. How could she forget something so important?

“Cade, listen, I remembered something from my captivity,” she said, leaning forward. “Gray Dog was talking with Hiller, well, yelling actually, about me. That I was the wrong ethnicity. He said he had a buyer who wanted an Indian girl, the type with feathers and not a dot head. His words.”

“That’s the reason why he grabbed Allis so quickly after you,” Draven murmured.

Cade leaned forward as well, narrowing his eyes. “Gray Dog said
he
.”

“Yeah,” she replied.

“Gray Dog wasn’t the ring leader,” Cade murmured. “Son of a bitch.”

“Well, it’s not Gunner,” Draven said. “No outlaw president would take orders from their second, not like that.”

“I agree.” Cade nodded. “So Gunner may not have killed Gray Dog. He might be running for his life.” He threw down his napkin. “I have to get to the office.”

He slid out of the booth and took his wallet out of his back pocket. As she and Draven also rose, Cade threw down some cash. Draven grabbed her hand and led her out of the diner. Moments later, they roared out of the parking lot, heading east on County Road Twenty-Five. Cade took the lead since he’d be veering off when the road split to head back toward town.

They were almost to the branch when another bike suddenly pulled out of a side road even with her and Draven. She screamed when she saw the gun aimed at them, and it was only Draven’s fast thinking that saved them from crashing or skidding. He slammed on the brakes at the same time that he turned the handlebars sharply to the left. Gunner still fired and the bullet hit the front tire. Dove and Draven went tumbling, although they were spared from the rough asphalt by the thick leather and hard helmets. She got some scrapes and she was pretty sure she’d have a plethora of bruises, but she lay staring up at the sky, panting.

“Fuck!” Draven shouted and surged to his feet.

Dove saw him pull his gun out from his shoulder holster, but Gunner was on top of him, punching him. Had they not just been in an accident, Dove had no doubt that Gunner wouldn’t have gotten the drop on Draven. He went flying back, the gun falling out of his hand.

“You fucking shot at me!” screamed the Demon Devil madman. “You destroyed my bike!”

“Payback, you son of a bitch,” Draven muttered.

Gunner took aim, and she screamed just as a body flew in between the bullets and Draven. Two shots blasted her eardrums. Cade grunted twice and fell, blood pouring from his body like a sieve. She cried and began to move, intending to get to him, when another shot rang out. She flinched.

Draven had recovered his gun and fired, hitting Gunner in the stomach. Dove didn’t know where to go, what to do, or how to think. Cade moaned, snapping her out of her frozen daze and she hurried to his side.

“Oh, my God,” she cried, tears streaming down her cheeks.
