Fallon’s pack had become his home and he knew that he could never ask her to leave it, even if she
would
do so. Between the two of them he was the one who’d always been restlessly searching for something and now that he’d found it, he had no intention of letting her, or it, go. Glenwood Springs was where he belonged, he knew that.

Apparently it was also where Maddox belonged because the little bastard simply told him, “I like it here. So I’m staying here.”

The last time Ransom had seen him, he had more than twenty-five stitches. Cree
really
didn’t pull any punches.

Resist the urge just a little bit longer, baby. I’ll be home to bat him around soon.

You better be, or I promise you, things are going to end badly, sweetheart. And I’m going to send your brother back to you in mangled pieces of hopelessness and lost dreams.

He started laughing and couldn’t stop.

LISTEN...

Why am I mated to you again? Why? And if your response starts with “my great big magical” I am coming to California and I am
maiming
you!

His chuckles carried outside of his office, gaining him a few curious stares as he walked out and headed for the elevator, ready to hop a flight and find his way back to his mate. She amused him. So very,
very
much.

Fallon never failed to keep him entertained. She should be proud of that fact. And no, he
still
didn’t think that thought made him a narcissistic bastard!
