I have to thank all the amazing authors who have been alongside me. Your wisdom, kindness and generosity have proven invaluable since I began my journey as a published author, and I don’t see that changing any time soon. There are too many bloggers for me to name because I know I’ll leave someone out, but for everyone who has been reading and reviewing and chatting and shouting, thank you. I can’t imagine this path without you.
I have to thank my boys—my husband and son—who go without more home-cooked meals than they should, who watch dishes pile up around deadlines, and lose a huge chunk of me to my imagination when I’m writing. I love you so much. You’re the center.
There were several signs that Kennedy Ryan would be a writer, but making up stories with a mop as her long-haired heroine while the other kids played kick ball may have been the most telling. After graduating with her journalism degree from UNC–Chapel Hill (GO, HEELS!), she found various means of gainful employment having absolutely nothing to do with said degree, but knew she would circle back to writing, in some form or fashion. After years of working and writing for nonprofit organizations, she finally returned to her first love—telling stories.
