her rudeness and people wondered where he got it from. Unlike them,
Nell was the cool, calm, and collected one. He got that from his
dad. Debbie was an outspoken woman that didn’t care what she says

Nell’s girlfriends or whoever they brought over to the house to
meet her except Shaniqua. Debbie thought she would scared Shaniqua

“This is Denise,” he said “Denise this my

need to be trying to work it out with Shan instead of running

“I’m not about to keep trying to suck up to
Shan, she made it clear that she doesn’t want me so I’m moving on,”

“So you had to bring your lil girlfriend with
you to pick up Ray’Shun,” Debbie wanted to know

Debbie was getting on Ronny last nerves
acting like her and Shaniqua was best of friends “I’m pretty sure
she has my son around that nigga she fucking. Hell they probably
living together as far as I know,” he said looking at Star hoping
she’ll spill the beans.

Just as he thought, Star cleared her throat
“Actually she lives by herself,” she said getting up walking
outside. Star was upset and didn’t like the fact that Ronny brought
the woman he cheated on her sister with, with him to pick up her
nephew. She knew it was the same woman because she went with her
sister to Denise job so she already knew how she looked.

“Come on lets go,” Ronny say to Denise once
she came out the restroom “Ray’Shun come on,” he said to his son.
Ronny was fed up with everyone thinking he’s the bad guy, yes, he
cheated on Shaniqua but he was willing to make it up to her but she
wouldn’t give him a chance and he was tired of kissing her ass.
Ronny walked out the door with his son in his arm and seen Star
sitting in Nell’s car on the phone. He already knew it was Shaniqua
that she was talking to. He shook his head and kept walking with
Denise close behind.

Shaniqua paced around her condo with the
phone glued to her ear “I’m gonna kill that mothafucka,” she said
into the phone “Thanks for letting me know Star. I’ll hit you up
later,” she said hanging up the phone. She didn’t care that Ronny
was still talking to Denise but she would be damn if he was going
to have her son around the hoe. Dre had been trying to get her to
move to Maryland with him and Ronny was making it so much easier
for her tell him she was going. Shaniqua dialed Ronny number and he
answered on the third ring. “Yeah,” he said.

“Ronny we need to talk, could you bring my
son home please,” she asked calmly.

Ronny already knew why she wanted Ray’Shun
home. “Man Shan, you know it’s my weekend to keep him.”

“Ronny you know I don’t mind you spending
time with your child, but you is not about to have him around that
hoe of yours.”

“Don’t you have him around that nigga of
yours?” Ronny asked “Plus I don’t have him around her, yeah she
went with me to pick him up but I dropped her off at home after we
left.”

“I don’t want my son in that hoe’s presence
PERIOD POINT BLANK,” she yelled into the phone. “You know that shit
is different Ronny, I didn’t cheat on you with him you cheated on

“Okay Shan and I apologized already,” he
said. “Look what you wanna talk about?” he asked feeling himself
becoming angry.

Shaniqua took a deep breath “Just spend time
with your son and keep him away from that bitch. I’ll text you my
address and we can talk when you bring him home,” she said hanging
up the phone not waiting for a response. She got up and decided to
take shower. While inside the shower, her mind went to Ronny and
thought about how she was going to break the news to him. She
didn’t really want to move out of town with Dre but she thought it

knew that was the only way to completely get over Ronny. Once she
was out the shower she text Ronny the address and made herself
comfortable under the covers.

Shaniqua didn’t know how long she was asleep
but when she woke up it was dark outside and someone was knocking
on her door. Being that she didn’t put on any clothes she grabbed
her robe and rushed down the stairs “Who is it?” she asked in a
raspy voice but no one said anything, she looked out the peek hole
and shook her head as Ronny stood on the other side of the door.
She cracked the door “What are you doing here Ronny?” she
asked.

Ronny smiled. “I came to see where my son
rests his head at night,” he said as he tried to push the door
open.

Shaniqua frown “Back the fuck back Ronny. You
could have saw that Sunday when you brought him home.” She noticed
he was by himself. “Where the fuck is my baby at?” she asked still
holding the door.

“He’s with my mom.”

“Okay so again what are you doing here?”
Ronny was pissing her off and she hated she even text him the
address.

“I wanna know what you wanted to talk about.
Can I come in?”

Shaniqua took a deep breath and closed the
door in Ronny face and unhooked the chain then opened it back and
walked off. Ronny walked in the house closing and locking the door
behind him. He walked into the living room where Shaniqua was
sitting on the couch and sat next to her.

“So what you wanted to talk about?” he
asked.

She looked at him and nervously said, “Me and
Ray’Shun is moving to Maryland.”

Ronny tilt his head to the side and just
stared at her as if she was crazy. Shaniqua shifted nervously in
her seat “Say something Ronny”

“So you just gonna up and leave with this
nigga and take my son with you?”

Shaniqua dropped her head feeling bad after
hearing so much hurt in Ronny’s voice “I’m sorry,” she said just
above a whisper.

He chuckled. “Sorry huh?” he asked now
standing. “Sorry, you taking my son away from me?” he asked
angrily.

Shaniqua stood up getting in his face. “It’s
all your fault Ronny, if you wasn’t such a hoe and kept your dick
in your pants then you wouldn’t have to worry about another nigga

“I’m sorry, I just didn’t think it was the
right time to bring a baby in this world with all that was going on

“So you couldn’t talk to me about it and see
what the fuck I thought about it?”

She dropped her head and didn’t say anything
as Ronny let her go and walked towards the door once again “I’m
sorry Ronny,” she said sliding down the walk as Ronny walked out
the door and didn’t look back.

The next day Shaniqua pulled up to Debbie
house to talk to her about the whole baby situation and to let her
know personally that she was moving. She had already told her
parents and being that they loved Dre they were cool with it. She
walked in the house to find Debbie sitting in the living room
smoking a blunt “Hey Debbie,” Shaniqua said sitting on the
couch

laughing.

Shaniqua took the blunt and pulled it “Where
my baby at?”

“Ronny came by last night to pick him up.”
She grabbed the remote to mute the TV. “He told me about the
conversation y’all had last night,” she said and Shaniqua dropped
her head.

“I was upset. Debbie and Ronny hurt me in the
worst way,” she said.

“I understand that Shan, but you could have
talked to him before you went through with the abortion,” Debbie
said taking the blunt Shan was passing to her

“I know and that’s where I messed up at,” she
said as the door opened and in walked Ray’Shun.

“Hey mama,” he said running over to Shaniqua
hugging her neck.

Ronny walked in with a mug on his face and
Shaniqua knew he was still mad about the previous night. He looked
at Shaniqua, didn’t say a word, and went straight to the bathroom.
Shaniqua shook her head and went into the hall to wait on him to
come out so they could talk. She was leaving in a couple of days
and didn’t want to leave on bad terms with him. She heard the
toilet flush then she heard him turn on the water and once she
heard him turn it back off and open the door she stepped around so
he could see her. They stood there staring each other in the eyes

Ronny looked at her. “I’m listening,”he
said.

“In private,” she said looking up at him.
Ronny hesitated then moved aside so she could enter the bathroom.
He closed the door once she was in and lend back on it .

Shaniqua took a deep breath unsure of what to
say. She closed her eyes “I was wrong for getting the abortion
without talking to you about it. I should have let you know what
was going on and I’m sorry. But at the time I was hurt and wasn’t
thinking,” she said slowly opening her eyes to find Ronny staring
at her.

After a few minutes and Ronny still standing
there not saying anything she asked, “Well aren’t you gonna say
something?”

her face “Yeah you should have told me. But I forgive you anyways,”
