“I highly doubt it,” he laughed. “I happen to know - without going into detail - that my own parents were rougher than we are when mum was pregnant with Sabrina.”

“How
would you know?” she frowned.

“I was only four, but I remember vividly walking in on them in the barn. Let me tell you this, perversion runs in our family, but I have yet to know or suspect
anything of the sort with my sisters.”

“That’s
very disturbing, thank you. I’m not sure if I can ever look at your parents in the same way again.”

“Why?
They’re married and in love. Like I’ve said before; play as a couple and the desire to stray evaporates. My parents have been married over forty years, do you think they have only had one kind of sex all that time?”

“I’d really like to stop discussing this now, if you don’t mind.” Creighton laughed and
rolled her over to lie between his legs as he pulled a pillow beneath his head.

I am very proud of you my love,” he told her a few minutes later. “What you just did broke the ice you’ve been hidden inside of. You are now free and able to enjoy sex without feeling guilty.”

“I feel slightly ashamed, but I don’t feel as guilty as I
thought I might. Especially when I think about how much you enjoyed it.”

“Oh that I did, darling. More than words alone could ever say. In fact, I wouldn’t mind doing it again, soon. I like knowing you don’t need m
e, but take me on anyway. It’s erotic and challenging to my libido.”

“But I do need
you; I would never have done anything like that if I didn’t think you would make love to me afterward.”

“I would never survive
the day, if I didn’t find myself inside that sweet body of yours by the end of the torment. That is my first most favorite place to be.”

Sandra smiled as his phone began to buzz, feeling so much more at ease than when reality had taken hold of her conscious. He reached to the table next to him and answered the phone, smiling as he
listened to the message.

“It’s finished,” he said excitedly. “The tracking device we’ve been working on is ready for testing.
Lawrence and Brian are bringing it over this afternoon. I’d like for you to test it out for a while, if you don’t mind. Besides, it will be fun locating you when you hide from me.”

“When have I ever
hidden from you?”

“Never, but you will today. I plan on making a game of reward and passion out of it.”

“Pervert,” she smiled.

“You know it baby,” he told her, leaning in and kissing her lips.

Sandra and Creighton ate a quick breakfast of frosted flakes and bananas, then returned to their bedroom to unpack.
Bess still had not brought the rest of their luggage to them, but they had enough to keep them going for several days. Creighton had instructed Matthew to create a drawer in the walk-in closet with a false bottom where they placed their toys out of the sight of snooping eyes and children. It was a large drawer in the center of the row and Creighton made mention of how much room was left over for future additions to the collection.

The room was put back together after their morning activities and the windows were opened to allow the
fresh air and light to shine though. Her box of personal belongings was taken out of the trunk and they were busy determining where to place her trophies on the living room shelves when the doorbell rang.

Without waiting for an answer, Irena came bursting into the house, calling out to them to get dressed because they had company. Creighton couldn’t resist the impulse to sneak up behind her as she headed to the stairs and grabbed her from behind, causing her scream and slap him on the arm.

“You are hateful,” she snapped turning back to Sandra as she stepped out of the living room. Irena screamed with excitement, shoved the small puppy she had been carrying into her brother’s arms and ran to her sister-in-law, hugging her tightly.

“I’m so glad you’re finally here,” she said after a few moments of squeezing her. “I’ve been going bonkers waiting for you.”

“What is this?” Creighton asked, scratching the dark brown shepherd behind the ears.

“It’s a dog, duh!” Irena answered with a roll of her eyes. “You can’t have a farm without a dog and Amelia’s shepherd just had puppies, so I got one for you. He’s my favorite, I called him Maximilian.”

“We haven’t decided on getting a dog yet and when we do, we’ll name it ourselves.” Creighton narrowed his gaze to his little sister playfully, as he nuzzled the puppy’s head.

“Thank you for the thought,” Sandra said, knowing that it was useless to argue with him.
“He’s adorable and he’ll fit in nicely around here.”

Creighton
may not admit to it at the moment, but he had already accepted the puppy as their own and she smiled, watching him snuggle the small dog to his chest, kissing the top of his head.

You’re welcome,” she said, sticking her tongue out at her brother and smiling when he laughed. “So, how is the moving in part? Need help?”

“No thank you Irena, we’re finished for now,” Sandra said, setting the empty box by the front door. “We have to wait until the rest of our stuff arrives. Until then, we’re just trying to settle in and see where Maxine put everything.”

“Well, if you need help let me know, I’m just across the yard. Right now I have to go to Kristen’s and give her a break from the kids. Call if you need me.” She turned and left the house with wave, skipping down the stairs and nearly running into the two men who walked up the path toward the house.

“That’s my sister,” he smiled. “She offers her help but has no intention of making good on it. If she ever settles down, she may just prove to be a responsible person.”

“How old were you, when you finally settled down?” Sandra asked as he handed off the puppy to her. He smiled wickedly and lifted her hand, kissing her finger with his ring on it.

“How old was I
when we got married?” he asked with a warm chuckle. Sandra shook her head in amusement as she watched him open the screen door and welcomed Lawrence and Brian into the foyer.

“Nice place,”
Brian said with a smile, looking around at the newly refurbished interior.

“Thank you,” Creighton said proudly. “It was a mess before we took over, but it
was well worth the mess and wait. Brian, this is my wife Sandra.” The two shook hands then she turned and greeted Lawrence before leading them into the living room. She sat on the sofa with her husband and the dog while the other two took up the wingback chairs on the opposite side of them.

“Here it is,” Lawrence said proudly, handing a leather box to his employer. “We had it installed exactly as you instructed and we’ve tested it a couple of times. It’s working, but only within 400 kilometers.”

“That’s not very far,” Creighton frowned taking the box and opening the lid to reveal an elegant gold ladies wristwatch. The black leather band was soft and supple as he lifted it from the box and inspected it then turned it to show Sandra.

“Any way we can increase the signal?” he asked, smiling as his wife took the watch. Her eyes widened when she saw the Rolex insignia on the face.
Each Roman numeral around the soft white face held a small diamond between the gold numbers. The band was the softest leather she had ever felt and the gold buckle was small, making her vividly aware that it was intended for a woman’s wrist.

“We have only been able to secure two cell phone
carriers to allow us to jump on their satellite dishes,” Brian began, almost in a rushed, apologetic tone. “I’m sure once it is known what this little baby can do and who the maker of it is, the other companies will be asking us for their business.”

“It’s a good start,” Creighton said, taking the watch and fastening it onto his wife’s wrist. “Tell me about the data? Can I upload the tracking service onto my
cell?”

“Yes sir,” Lawrence stepped in. “Along with your laptop and we have the car security company interested in seeing how we can join with their GPS systems. Once all the bugs are worked out, the device will be available for private use as well as military or police.”

“We’ll start with police first,” he told the man. “I want it to be available for all new parents; something they can easily afford to insert into the baby’s pram or slings, even car seats.”

“That is the goal sir,” Brian added. Creighton took his phone out of his pocket and began to discuss the site in order to download the tracking device while Sandra stood quickly, taking
the puppy in her arms, the leg of her pants warm and wet.

“Irena forgot to tell us he’s not house
trained,” she said, excusing herself and taking the dog outside. She sat the puppy on the grass and looked around the yard as he sniffed about the flower beds and shrubbery.

This
was possibly her most favorite sight of the entire property; the drive was circular and paved in new concrete with small trees and flowering bushes along the inside embankment. The grass was dark green and thick, easy on her feet as she walked barefooted across it to keep Max close to the house. There were fruit trees lining the side of the yard and behind the house several hundred yards was a fenced coral and new brown and grey barn.

She looked across the yard to the garage and smiled as Clark stepped out to the balcony and waved to her. This life she had fallen into was a dream come true, but she kept feeling like she would awaken to find it was just that, a dream.

“Thank you gentlemen,” Creighton said as he stepped out onto the porch with Lawrence and Brian. “We will try it out and let you know. Stop by to see Michelle when you get back to Paris; she has something for you both.” The men beamed and shook their employer’s hand, smiling and waving at Sandra as they climbed back into the dark blue Toyota. She watched them pull away before turning back to the handsome barefoot man who joined her on the grass.

“What was that all about?” she asked him with a slight frown. “What would Michelle have for them?”

“A very handsome bonus for their hard work,” he said with a shrug of his shoulders. He looked down to the dog and smiled as he jumped across a very short distance to chance a grasshopper. “The entire team will be receiving a bonus, more if this thing works as well as I’ve been promised.”

“You are a very kind sir,
Mr. Ashford,” she said, reiterating her sentiment.

“Keep your workers happy and they will stay loyal, even in the hardest of times.”

“I thought you were talking about something else,” she said hiding her smile as he frowned.

“Like what?” he asked.

“Has Michelle called and talked with you, I mean about anything going on?”

“Daniel is back to work and Aryana
’s baby is due in two weeks, other than that there isn’t much to discuss. The project is going well, the profits are up and Rachel is pregnant, but that’s about it.”

“So they did tell you!” She nearly shouted when she turned to look at him, a wide smile across her face, causing him to laugh softly.

“Yes she told me, but how did you know?” he asked, wrapping his arm around her waist.

“They told me at our reception, but swore me to secrecy. Keeping anything from you is very difficult you know?”

“Are you telling me, my personal assistant told my wife something this important before discussing it with me?” Sandra’s eyes widened at the shocked look of disbelief on her husband’s handsome face.

“I’m sorry, it just slipped out,” she began. “They were excited but wanted to wait until everything settled down
with us before they told you. Don’t be angry with her.”

“I’m not,” he said with a slow smile. “Actually, I’m rather impressed. Michelle doesn’t ta
lk much about her personal life, so for her to open up to you is a miracle. I’m happy you get on so well with her, just keep it on the level of acquaintance. I don’t want to lose you, the way Pierre lost Rachel.”

“Not going to happen,” Sandra said with a relieved smile. “Remember, I’m not into the mirror-mirror thing either.”
Creighton laughed, wrapping her in his embrace a little tighter and kissed her cheek.

“Care to play a game of hide and seek?” he asked, his tone low and seductive. It was Sandra’s turn to laugh, as she laid her head against his chest, watching the puppy roll around the grass.

“So how does this thing work, anyway?” she asked looking down to the very expensive watch on her arm. She didn’t care much for wristwatches; they made her feel hot and sweaty, but if it meant keeping her husband happy and helping him advance on another of his projects, then she would endure. Besides, it could prove fun.

“Right now there is no way of activating the device yourself,” he began, lifting her hand and kissing her knuckles. “That is something Lawrence is working on. This is just a prototype remember; the official version will have many more bells and whistles.”

“So how can you locate it?”

“I have to activate it on my
phone, which I’ve already done, but the activation will only last as long as I deem fit; an hour, a day, a week. See the color?” Sandra glanced down at the soft yellow glow of the once white face. “When it’s yellow, it means the device has been activated, it will take a few minutes to connect to the watch. It will be white when it’s off and blue when the tracking has begun. When the face turns green that means it’s been located within the 402 kilometers, but when it’s purple that means the device has been found.”
