He licked his lips. "Put my dick inside of you."

She reached down between them, circled her fingers around his hardness and aimed him between her legs. The head of his cock rooted into her pussy, and she removed her hand from him.

"Perfect," he said as if the word pained him.

He glided in, slow inch by extremely slow inch, until he covered her completely, filled her fully, and cradled her with the love shining in his eyes.

She inhaled a trembling breath. Unused to being at the mercy of another person, she soaked in how surreal, how incredibly good it was to have Emmett connected to her.

He started rocking in a sweet caress, lowering his head to trail a path from her ear to the sensitive spot on her neck. "You. Me. Fit perfect," he whispered.

She hooked her heels behind his knees, afraid he'd stop and leave her laying there wanting more.

He raised his head. "Hold on to me."

He glided back in, settling deep, and ground his pelvis against her. She wrapped her arms around his neck. Powerless to add anything to the sex but her emotions and the response he drew from her body.

The sure, steady strokes, in and out of her wet pussy added to the music that drifted in from outside. She panted, riding a pleasurable wave higher and higher.

He shifted, raising his knee, and pushed deeper. She gasped, holding on tightly.

Right there.

Again.

He didn't let her go and continued to plunge his cock into her. Her hands grew restless and grabbed at his shoulders. She needed more.

His body stilled.

"No, no, no," she whispered, pushing her heels into his legs. "Keep going."

His thrust came quick, powerful. He pushed up on his hands and held himself above her. She grabbed at his bulging chest in front of her, uncontainable and at his whim.

On each inward thrust, his cock stroked her sensitive clit. She tensed against him, her body violently trying it's best to consume him and hold him captive forever.

"Come on, Nova-girl." Emmett grunted, swaying the bed with his movements. "It's mine. Give it to me."

She bit down on her lower lip and moaned as she came.

An explosion of grand proportions whirled her around and around. Deep and forgiving. Healing and comforting.

Emmett stilled, his body rock hard, his gaze glued to hers and in the back of her delusional state, she watched the moment he claimed her as his. Where he accepted that he received something other men never got from her.

Together, they rolled to their sides, reeling off the orgasms that shook them both. Staying connected, she wrapped her leg over his hip and nestled her head underneath his chin on his chest. His labored breathing soothed her.

Several minutes passed and he kissed the top of her head. "Stay here. I need to remove the condom."

She rolled her upper body away, reluctant to lose the connection. He slid out of her, and she reached out and snaked his wrist. "Thank you."

"Hold that thought." He walked out of the room to the bathroom.

She curled on her side. The music from outside seemed to get louder. From across the hall, the toilet flushed. She smiled to herself at the familiar sounds and wondered if she should walk over to Nick and Shayla's trailer next door. Unaware of the standard procedure after she had sex with someone she loved, she closed her eyes and waited for Emmett to let her know what he wanted her to do.

Chapter Thirty Three

T
he 'Cuda passed Mile Post 39. Emmett chuckled at the way Nova startled, whipping her head around as she plastered herself against the window of the car.

"Emmett?" She turned back around. "I thought you said the house was only five miles away from the trailer park."

He'd lied.

All week long, he'd ushered her to different houses in and around Federal and found out Nova was the pickiest woman he'd ever met. Either the house was too run down, small, large, fancy, smelly, or she refused to live next door to someone who painted pathetic, juvenile flowers on their mailbox—her words. He thought the flowers were cute, considering an eighty-year-old woman owned the house.

"No, I said it's fifty miles away." He glanced at her and raised his brows. "Maybe you were sleeping and misheard me."

She gawked. "Where are we?"

"Montana." He laid his wrist on top of the steering wheel.

"Are you serious?" She flopped back against the seat. "Turn around."

"Don't you want to—"

"Emmett. Turn the car around. Please." She sighed. "I want to live closer to my family. Nick and Shayla need me, and I need them."

He coughed to hide his amusement. There was no house to look at. He wanted to get her away from the trailer park because every time they had two minutes alone, someone came over or he got called out to help repair-advise-dispute one problem or another within the park.

Up ahead a mile, he knew a restaurant that had the best and biggest cinnamon rolls that would erase Nova's disappointment over not finding a house today.

"Look at that cloud." Nova pointed out the front windshield. "Do you think it's going to rain?"

"It might." He turned on his blinker and took the exit. "It's October. Snow can show up any day."

"Oh, God." She slunk down in the seat. "I don't have any winter clothes or boots."

"Don't worry." He stopped at the stop sign, looked left and right, and sped across the road into the parking lot of the restaurant. "Shayla can take you shopping. There's a mall in Spokane."

"Spokane?" She bent her knees and put her feet on the dash.

He reached over and tapped her foot. "It took me two years and twelve hundred dollars to replace that part of the car."

"For a dash?" She laughed and sat up straighter. "Do you know what you can buy for that much money?"

"A
used
dash in original mint condition," he said, pulling into a parking spot and shutting off the engine. "Come on. I need to go inside and buy something."

"What?"

"You'll see." He exited the car, jogged around the front, and opened her door.

Inside the log house restaurant, he went right to the pie display. Pepper turned from a table, spotted him, and hurried over with a smile on her face.

"About time you stopped in." Pepper leaned over the display. "You missed Mom and Dad by a half hour. They said if you stopped in to tell you to get your butt over to see them. They're wondering what happened to your weekly visits and why you don't call them back when they leave a message on your phone."

"I talked to dad four or five days ago, but tell them I'll stop by next week. I've been busy getting the park ready for winter." He looped his arm across Nova's shoulders and pulled her tight against him. "Pepper, meet Nova Kinsley. Nova, this is my baby sister, Pepper."

"Cool name." Pepper grinned. "What are you doing hanging around my brother?"

Nova burst out laughing. "I've been asking myself that question all day, considering he's trying to get me lost in Montana and hates when I put my feet on the dash of his car."

"Ignore him. He's a jerk about his car." Pepper flapped her hand in dismissal. "I have what will make everything right in his world, and afterward, you can do whatever you want, and he's not going to care."

She dipped down behind the display and popped up with a plate-sized cinnamon roll. "Give me one minute to turn this into heaven and then you'll have the number one weapon against my brother."

"Dear Lord." Nova pressed her hand to her stomach and gazed up at Emmett. "Can that cinnamon roll get any bigger?"

"I hope you have an appetite." He rolled her in his arm until she leaned against his chest.

She gazed after Pepper. "Your sister seems nice."

"My whole family is nice." He kissed her forehead. "I am, too."

"Conceited much?" She laughed. "All this time we're spending together, mornings, nights, days, I'm discovering that you, Mr. Emmett Parker, are stubborn, demanding, and when you think nobody is around to witness, a little bossy with me."

He grunted to keep from laughing. She enjoyed when he bossed her around, and he loved how she thanked him.

Pepper returned with the cinnamon roll heated and a cup of melted butter on the side. He let go of Nova and whispered in his sister's ear. Pepper nodded and hurried the length of the counter, grabbed a key from inside the cash register, and tossed him the ring. He snatched it out of the air and slipped the key into his pocket.

"What was that?" asked Nova.

"Grab the plate and I'll show you." He grinned and led her back out the front door of the restaurant.

He guided her the length of the wrap-around-log porch and down the side of the building and took the few steps to the ground. Eight employee cabins, replicas of the bigger building that housed the gift shop and restaurant, lined the rear of the property near the river.

"The cabins are for the employees." He walked up on the porch of the first cabin. "Pepper stays here on the weekends and in the winter if the roads are too bad to travel, but most of the time she goes home to my folks."

Nova set the plate down on the table between the two rockers. "It's lovely here. Why doesn't she stay here every day?"

"She hates spending the night alone. Mom and Dad only live about two miles down the river." Emmett sat down and peeled off the Saran Wrap. "Get ready. There's only one way to eat this."

He tore off a corner of the roll, dipped it in the warm, melted butter, and shoved it in his mouth. "Try it," he said, between chewing.

"Just like what you're doing, huh?" She laughed, eyeing the drip at the corner of his mouth. "Okay, I'm game."

He forgot about chewing and the cinnamon roll waiting to be eaten when Nova lifted a piece to her mouth, leaned forward, and caught the dripping butter with her tongue. His cock hardened behind the fly of his jeans, and he sat back in the chair.

Nova closed her eyes and moaned, fingering the corners of her mouth. He stared at the curve of her jaw wanting to kiss his way to her mouth and help her with the runaway butter.

"Oh, my God." She licked her fingers, popping each digit out of her puckered lips. "I've never tasted anything as good."

He stood and pulled her up out of the chair. She stumbled, and he caught her.

"What are you doing?" She grabbed his forearms to balance herself.

"Inside. Now." He walked her backward.

"Wait. What about the roll?" She stepped away from him and covered the cinnamon roll and cup of butter with the Saran Wrap.

Impatient, hard, and no longer hungry for food. He wanted her. "Save it. We'll eat afterward."

She tilted her head in curiosity and held on to his hand while he worked the key in the lock. He hustled Nova inside and kicked the door shut.

He kissed her against the wall, swallowing her laughter. The situation urgent, he had no time to find out what amused her.

She wound her arms around his neck. He reached down between them and unbuttoned her jeans and pulled down the zipper. His cock threatened to blow the seams in his pants with every second it took him to get her jeans over her hips. Finally, the material gave way, and he shoved down her panties, twirled her away from him, and put his boot between her feet and widened her legs.

He scrambled for his wallet, undid his belt, and had a condom on his dick at world record speed.

He ran his hands over her bare hips, tested his grip, and tugged her back. Her upper body dipped, and she slapped her hands on the wall to brace herself.

"Ready?" He teased her pussy with the end of his cock.

She widened her stance until her jeans restricted her movement. "Yes."

He plunged inside of her. His eyes almost rolled back in his head at the swift and overpowering pleasure of being inside Nova.

"Oh, shit," she mumbled over a gasp. "Yes."

He thrust, retreated, plunged, and glided. Her wet, slick sex squeezed and he let go of her hip with one hand and reached around her and slid his finger between her legs. She bucked against him, and it took everything he had to stay in contact with her clit.

Her body trembled in his hands. He bent his knees taking the brunt of her sporadic movements. Riding her excitement, he wrapped his arm around her waist and caught her weight when her orgasm pummeled down on his cock and he lost control.

He held her tight, riding the pleasure emanating through his body. The solid rush calmed, and he leaned forward over her back and chuckled.

"That cinnamon roll needs to come with a warning," he muttered near her ear.

She laughed softly and sucked in air. "That was...crazy fast."

"Who's fault do you think that was?" He straightened them both, slipping out of her body.

She bent at the waist, grabbed her jeans, and shimmied them up and over her hips. "How do I get the blame for your rush?"

"You look damn sexy when you eat." He smacked her ass and walked to the bathroom. Wrapping the used condom in tissue, he put it in the wastebasket out of sight. "Besides, I knew you wouldn't feel like sex after you ate the roll. I had to take advantage of the moment," he said from inside the bathroom, looking at all the pink splattered around the room. Fuzzy rug, toilet seat cover, towels. "Why don't you take a break from looking at houses for sale for a while. At least wait until spring when the snow starts to melt. You can stay with me over the winter."

He washed his hands, and as he dried them on the girly towel, he said, "Nova?"

Silence.

He shut off the light and walked back to the main room. Nova stood in the opened doorway with her back to him. He walked up to her and hugged her back to his chest.

"Uh, Emmett," whispered Nova. "We've got a problem."

He raised his gaze, and that's when the sniffing and grunting broke through his desensitized after-sex head.

A black bear pawed at the cinnamon roll now laying on the floor of the porch, growling and swiping at the Saran Wrap stuck to its claws.

"Be real quiet." He pulled Nova back into the room silently and shut the door.

The click of the latch echoed, and he quickly turned the lock. He stood between Nova and the door. The damn bear was eating their cinnamon roll.
