“You know, you could make a girl melt with those words, you know.” I said with a smile. God I am
flirting. The position I was just trying to get myself out of, I was adding fuel to the fire by flirting!

I sat down on the bed and began to reminisce about what just happened. Even though we didn’t end up
going very far, I found I was smiling at the thought of kissing Caleb, but the knock at the door snapped
me out of my day dream, thank goodness for room service.

We sat there and indulged on the tender steak and the amazing scallops. I sipped on my wine and it
seemed that his gaze never left mine. I knew that we should be talking, but all the while I enjoyed the
moment of silence and the time we were getting to spend. I noticed that it was already rounding 5:30
and I should probably be heading out, but again, I was enjoying this moment a little too much.

“What time was Liam going to be home?” Caleb asked, as if he were reading my mind.

“He said late and to pick myself up some dinner. I think the earliest he would be home would be 8, but I
think that I should head out here soon.” I could feel the tension in the room.

“I don’t want you to leave. We really should have talked; I just couldn’t find the words to say.” He said
remorsefully.

“I know. I don’t even know where to begin.” I paused. “Caleb, kissing you was…it was amazing. I just…”

“Ryleigh, I know. I loved every second that I was kissing your lips, but I really do understand. I will take
what I can get with you. I just don’t want to lose you ever again.” He grabbed my hand and kissed my
knuckle.

“Do you think we can meet again, for a real lunch next time?”

“Ry, you don’t have to ask me that! I want to see you every day. You tell me when and I will be there.”
We both stood up and headed for the door. “Where are you parked?” He asked as he opened the door.

“I am over off of California. My car is parked still at work.” I said grabbing my keys out of my purse.

“Let me walk you to your car at least.” He started to reach for his keys.
“You don’t have to do that, I am all the way off California. I can manage.” I said as I put my hand on his
muscular arm.

“I don’t want you to walk downtown at night by yourself! Even if it is still light out, people down this way
are not going to care if you just have a couple of blocks to walk.”

“Well, I am not going to even try to argue with you then.”

We headed down the hall towards the elevators; the ride down was a quiet one, never mind the entire
conversation we had only moments ago. He reached down and grabbed my hand and held onto it
tightly.

“Ry, look, I don’t want this to be something that you stress about. We can pretend that none of it even
happened.” He squeezed my hand.

“Okay, I think that would be great. I would love to just start all over and be friends.” I said with a deep
sigh. It was definitely a sigh of relief.

He leaned in and gave me a soft peck on the cheek. It was only then he let go of my hand and started to
walk back.

Driving home I was in a daze. I am surprised that I had made it home, my head was not all there. I am
thankful I didn’t get into a wreck and I hope that I actually stopped at red lights.

As I pulled into the driveway, I began to question if I should tell Liam what I did. I mean it was just a kiss
and we agreed that it never really happened. I put it out of my mind and headed inside.

I dropped my purse down on the couch and headed for the bathroom. When I got in I blasted some
tunes and turned on the shower. I soaked in the sweet feeling of the hot water and I felt muscles
beginning to relax. When I got out, I quickly dried off and put on my most comfortable sweats, they
were actually Liam’s but I seemed to have adopted them, and a cami. I padded down the stairs and
poured myself a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and headed back upstairs.

I glanced over at the clock and realized it was already 9 and still no Liam. I turned on the television to
find I was catching an early edition of the news. Istarted to worry that something was wrong; he was
never really this late without a phone call. I reached in my bag to find my cell phone and found that it
had died. I quickly plugged in the charger and waited impatiently for it to boot up, to find that I had a
missed text and voicemail.

Hey babe, sorry- running late…guys wanted to go grab drinks…be home about 11. I love you!

I quickly replied.

Hey! Sorry, grabbed a shower- didn’t hear my phone. Have fun! Love you lots!

I then listened to my voicemail.
“Hey Ry, its Caleb. Look, I can’t stop thinking about you and I just wanted to make sure you got
home okay. Your phone went straight to voicemail, so I am hoping that you are okay. Shoot me a text.
Talk to you soon.” There was a long pause before the message actually ended. I could tell he wanted to
say more.

I sent him a quick message.

Hey. Phone died. Yes, I am fine… I will call you later. Gnight

He hadn’t responded so I set my phone on silent, slipped in bed and drank a bit more of my wine. I
couldn’t find anything on T.V. I began to drift off.
Chapter Five
I woke up the next morning to my alarm going off. I quickly jumped up to find Liam still asleep. When
had he gotten home? Why didn’t he wake me up?

“Liam, honey, wake up.” I whispered in his ear I could see that he was beginning to smile. “What time
did you get in?”

“About 11:30. Those guys are something else. They didn’t seem to realize that we have work in the
morning. I wanted to wake you up, but you seemed so peaceful, so beautiful, so…everything. You got
time before work?” He smiled grabbing my hips to position them on top of him.

“For you, I got all morning!” I leaned in giving him sweet kisses on his neck as I wiggled into him. He felt
so good and we still had all of our clothes on. Just when things were just about to get good, his phone
rang.

“Don’t get it!” I huffed.

“I have to, that ring tone is work. I don’t know why they are calling so early, but obviously it means
something is going on, don’t you move.” He rolled over and answered his phone. “Andrews. Yes, sir. I
will be there in an hour.” He rolled back to his nightstand to set his phone back down.

“You have to go? How come?”

“The merger that was supposed to take place in a couple weeks, well they decided to actually move it
up. Which is great, but that means a bit more work for my team; new marketing plans. I think I am going
to have to work this weekend, did we have any plans?”

“No, not that I was aware of. Courtney sent me a message yesterday asking to do a spa day; I can set
something up for tomorrow and have a girl’s day.” I remembered all that took place yesterday and my
stomached twisted.

“Perfect, you ladies will have a great time. Now, I can spare 15 minutes if you can.” He said with a
cheesy grin.

“I think I can work that into my schedule.” I laughed.

We both quickly undressed ourselves like we were on a timer. He rolled on top of me and teased me
with his hardening erection. I arched my lower back to let him know I was more than ready for him. I
could feel his kisses on my neck; fast, desperate. He glided himself deep into me, I moaned aloud. He
grabbed my leg and lifted it into his hip and I could feel each thrust getting harder and deeper.
“Oh, God! You feel so good!” He groaned into my ear. “I don’t think that I would ever get sick of feeling
you around me!”

“Liam… you…oh my god! I need you deeper!”

With that he was pushing harder and deeper into me. I felt all my muscles in my entire body tighten up. I
dug my nails into his back and screamed out in ecstasy. We both climaxed together.

He lifted his head; in a sex daze he kissed my mouth. This kiss was the kiss of such passion, but I felt so
guilty at that moment. He lifted his body up and padded across the room to the bathroom, while I laid
in bed unable to move.

When I heard the shower kick on, I rolled over andchecked the time. I contemplated calling out from
work today, I could have a nice long weekend. Afterthinking about it for a few minutes, I decided that it
sounded amazing. I picked up my phone and dialed Ava’s cell phone; she would be getting ready for her
day as well.

“Hey, Ava its me.”

“Hey Ryleigh, How are ya? TGIF, huh?” She sounded like she was in dire need of a day off too, her voice
just seemed strained. She may have been just my assistant, but she worked just as hard at helping me
complete this project. I really appreciated all of her hard work.

“Hey, it’s been a crazy month; why don’t you take the day off. I’m going to do the same. We deserve the
time away from the office and since the project has been presented we need the time to relax,
especially before the next project.”

“Are you serious? That’s awesome! I was just thinking I needed to take a vacation! Thank you so much
Ryleigh, you don’t know how much I appreciate working for you. Wanna grab some lunch later, then?”

“That’d be great! Let’s plan about one, The Tavern in the Tech Center?”

“Sounds great! I will meet you there. Do I need to call into the office?”

“No, don’t worry about that. I will give them a call. I just need to let Paul know that we both will be out. I
am going to have my phone forwarded to my cell so I won’t really miss much.”

“Awesome. I will see you there at one! Ryleigh, thank you so much again! I’m gonna get back into my
pajamas for the next couple hours.” She laughed and we hung up.

I heard the shower turn off and headed towards the bathroom. I opened the bathroom door to see Liam
standing there drying off. His chiseled body, he may not have had a six pack like Caleb or the definite
muscle tone but he was still fit. He had those “V”lines that could make a girl go ga-ga over. He was
standing there beaded with water; he made me want to jump him again.

“Hey, aren’t you supposed to be getting ready for work, too?” He asked drying his hair. He had the
darkest of hair, it was not quite black but it was so dark that it could have passed for black. His brown
eyes always made me want to stare a bit harder to catch that glimpse of honey in them. He slicked his
hair back, which always made me laugh because no matter how much he brushed it back, it would fall to
the side only when it dried. He truly was the total opposite of Caleb.

“I’m taking a personal day. I gave Ava the day off too, so we are going to go out to lunch. We have finally
finished that project and the board loved it, so we are taking some well-deserved time off.”

“You definitely deserve this, babe. You are amazing, in more ways than one.” He winked at me as he was
slipping on his boxers.

“Don’t tempt me over there; you’re going to be late if you do.” I said with a smile and turning away,
knowing if I didn’t walk away; he definitely wouldhave been late.

Walking back to my side of the bed, I saw my phone lit up. I picked it up seeing I had a text message.

Hey. Can you meet for lunch?

It was Caleb. For some reason my face lit up.

Hey, I am already having lunch with my assistant. Tomorrow I am going to the spa with
Courtney, maybe after?

Liam was already in his suit when I looked up. I don’t know what it is about a man in either a suit or
uniform, but it sure got my pulse racing. I could even go with a man in jeans and tee but sexy just oozed
from a man that is put together.

“You know I could get used to seeing you in bed, while I get ready for work. Staying home. Maybe eating
bon bons while our kids run around.” He looked at me through the mirror on the dresser.

“Wow, where’d that one come from?” I looked at him shocked. We had talked about kids when we first
got married, but we thought that with all the work we were taking on that we should hold off another
year and that was the last we spoke of them. I wanted kids, as did he, but we just liked it being the two
of us.

“Well, we haven’t talked about it in a long time. We both have been doing really well lately and it’s
almost to the point where we could take some time off. Or kick it into a slower gear. I think that we
would be perfect parents, especially you, but it would be nice.”

“Liam. I love the idea, I just…with Courtney just announcing her big surprise, I don’t know if I really want
to ruin her moment.” I lied. I didn’t know if I wasreally quite ready to have kids yet.

“Well, I love the ‘trying’ part anyway. We will have to ‘practice’ again later, but I’m not sure what time I
am going to be home tonight. I also have to get upand be at the office early tomorrow. Maybe I will just
pull an all-nighter and that way I can just come home tomorrow and not have to worry anymore. You
and Court all set for your girl day tomorrow?”
“I have to book the appointments but I am sure we will be all set. Maybe around brunch time, have a
late lunch with her, that way you can get some rest and we can do dinner tomorrow night?”

“That works. Alright, babe, I gotta run. Have fun being lazy today and spa day tomorrow. I love you like
crazy!” He leaned down and kissed my forehead before heading downstairs and out the garage. I was
left in shock; he really wanted to start this family. I always thought it would be great to stay at home
with the kids and kiss him off to work every morning. Or was it someone else that I was thinking that it
would be great with? I needed to clear my head!

I picked up my phone and called up Courtney.

“Hey Mama! How are you feeling?” I asked with a big smile, I still couldn’t believe my best friend was
going to have a baby!

“Morning sickness sucks! Other than that, I’m good. Your ears must have been burning because I just
booked the appointments for tomorrow at 10:30, does that work?”

“You were reading my mind then, I wanted to call and ask if tomorrow would work around brunch! This
is why we are best friends!” She and I really did think alike.

“Wonderful! Hey wait, why aren’t you calling me from your work line? Are you okay?”
