soon as she got the words out of her mouth, she spied a spider
crawling on the wall to the left of the bed. She gasped and pointed.
“
You
were saying?” Gwar laughed.
“
Could
you like, dispose of it? It might be one of your warriors.”
“
Ex-warriors.
I’m no longer king, remember?” Gwar slipped out of bed.
With little exertion, he captured the tiny creature, walked over to
the window, opened it, and set it free.
“
Is
this what we’re going to go through every time you see a spider
in the house?” He asked with a laugh before closing the window.
Abigail
chuckled. “Yeah, especially if you’re butt assed naked. A
girl could get used to this,” she teased.
He
returned to bed, but she nudged him away.
“
What?”
He asked innocently.
“
Um,
before you climb back into this bed, you need to wash your hands.”
“
What?
Abby, are you serious?”
She
smiled. “As a heart attack.”
“
Oh
Abby.” With a half smile, Gwar walked into the bathroom, washed
his hands and returned to bed. “There, are you satisfied?”
“
Yes.”
She snuggled up close to him, resting her head on his chest.
“
Thank
you Gwar. I’m not as afraid of spiders, but it’s going to
take a little time.”
“
I
understand.” He tightened his arms around her, making a silent
promise that he’d never let her go.
“
I’ll
miss that sexy web tattoo you used to have.”
“
I
don’t miss it at all,” He laughed and hugged her tight.
