“Rusty do you have one?” Cash asked his brother.

Rusty slid off the bed. “It’s never left my wallet.”

Cash rejoined her on the bed and unwrapped the condom. “Do you want to help me put it on?”

Alex licked her lips. “Okay.” Her hands trembled as she took the latex ring and placed it over the tip of his penis. In health
class
,
they had practiced putting condoms on bananas but this was no banana. Her movements were clumsy and unsure but she managed to roll it down his length.

Cash moaned. “Oh shit.” I’m not sure how long I’m going to last if you keep touching me like that.”

She giggled. “I haven’t done anything.”

“You’re touching it, that’s enough.” He caught her chin between his finger and thumb and their gazes locked. “Are you ready?”

“I think so.”

“You don’t have to do this is you don’t want to,” Cash assured her.

“I want this.”

Cash gently pushed her down and gave her a long deep kiss before positioning himself between her legs. She raised her hips when she felt his cock at her entrance.
Alex wanted Rusty to be a part of this moment as well so she reached out for him. He sidled next to her and took her hand in his, their fingers interlocking.

“I love you.” Rusty softly whispered the words as he gave her hand a tight squeeze.

Alex then returned her attention to Cash and gave him a nod signaling that she was ready. Cash eased into her with one quick thrust. Alex gasped. There wasn’t any real pain, just a tightness that gave her a little discomfort.

“Are you okay?” Cash pressed his lips against her forehead.

“Yes. It’s not so bad.”

Cash held himself still until Alex begin to wiggle her hips to let him know that it was okay to move. His movements were a bit slow and awkward at first but he found his rhythm soon enough. A sweet ache seared
th

her body as she and Cash moved as one.

Rusty held on to her every so often dropping kisses on her exposed flesh. Having these two beautiful men giving her so much pleasure, her climax hit her hard and fast.

Cash grunted and groaned as he reached his completion.
He rolled off her and took her other hand as Rusty took the spot that his brother had just vacated.

“Are you ready for me, honey?” Rusty whispered as he circled her clitoris with his thumb.

Alex was a bit sore from Cash but she couldn’t think of anything that she wanted more in that moment than being one with Rusty. “Yes. I need you.”

“Then you’re going to have me. All of me.” Rusty covered her mouth with his, swallowing her scream as he drove into her so deep it almost felt as if they had merged into one entity.

Rusty was a bit more rough, his motions a little quicker but somehow he managed to hit every sensitive spot within her walls. She

her muscles around his cock and moved with him stroke for stroke.

“Shit, I can’t hold on much longer,” he grunted.

“Then don’t. Let go. Come with me,” Alex moaned.

Rusty collapsed on top of
Alex after his release.

Alex panted to catch her breath. It was official: she was no longer virgin. Her experience wasn’t the horror story she heard from other girls when they described their first time. This was special, and she would hold this moment in her heart until the day she died.

Even after all this
time
,
Alex could remember every detail of that night from how they each held her between them and assured her of their love. They talked and laughed. They explored her body and she theirs. I
t was well after midnight when
he drove her home and thankfully her grandmother had been in bed.

From then on, Alex wasn’t in school, studying or at work, and Cash and Rusty had free time, they would sneak away to the cabin. After
graduation
,
Alex experienced the most magical summer of her life. Whenever they would go off to their secret hideaway, they didn’t just have sex, they fish
ed
,
went
canoeing, or just hung out. They even spoke about a future together and how they could make it work. And she believed them.

But sadly, their time together ended abruptl
y when the town had somehow found out what was going on between them. The town had turned against her, she was labeled a slut and kicked out of her house, and she never heard from Rusty or Cash again, until now.

That they could just come crashing back into her life as if nothing happened pissed her off. Her heart had been broken before. She couldn’t afford to have that happen again.

Chapter Six

Alex had nearly c
alled out of work the next day because she didn’t get a single wink of sleep. All the memories she’d thought were locked away came back to haunt her with a vengeance. She had even attempted to read which usually worked like sleeping pills for her but to no avail. Her mind was way too restless. She lay in bed, tossing and turning until she just gave up.

By the time her alarm clock when out she was bone weary but the last thing she wanted to do was stay at home thinking about when Cash and Rusty would show up again because she had no doubt that they would. Alex
was so exhausted she could barely keep her eyes open.
During her lunch
break
,
she’d managed to catch a catnap that refreshed her somewhat but it wasn’t the same as a good night’s sleep.
Somehow
,
she made it through the day without causing any major disasters. As
Alex
headed to the parking lot,
she contemplated going to a hotel to avoid Cash and Rusty but knowing her luck, she’d probably pick the one they were staying at.

“Hey Alex, wait up,” Georgia called out to her.

Alex stopped long enough for her friend to catch up. “I thought you were working a double today.”

“I am. I’m on break right now
,
but I wanted to
talk to you before you left.”

Alex raised a brow in surprise. Georgia had her number and could have called if she wanted. This had to be serious.
“Oh?
Is everything all right?”

Actually that’s what I wanted to ask you. We haven’t had a chance to
talk
since
lunch yesterday and I wanted to check in on you
.
A couple people mentioned the huge bags under your eyes.”

“Wow, that’s nice of them.”

Georgia shook head. “
No
,
it wasn’t like that. I think they were
worried
is all and seeing you now, I can understand why.
I’m saying this as a friend but you look awful. You look like you just rolled out of bed and came straight to work. You’re always so put together.”

Alex groaned. “I know. I’m sure I look a mess. I didn’t sleep at all last night.”

“Is that why you were asleep in the break room instead of meeting me in the cafeteria.”

“I’m sorry I missed our standing lunch date Georgia. If I didn’t have that little nap, I wouldn’t have been able to get through the rest of the day.”

“It’s okay. If you needed the rest then I completely understand. But it’s not just your appearance.
I noticed how
spacey
you’ve been
and I had to go behind
you to make sure you didn’t have a mishap like yesterday.
I don’t want our supervisor breathing down your neck.

“Thanks for having my back, hon. I appreciate. I guess I just had a lot on my mind.”

“Does it have anything to do with
that letter you received?”

That was the last subject Alex wanted to discuss.
“I’m so sorry to have worried you.
I promise I’ll be more diligent tomorrow. As soon as I go home, I’m going straight to bed so I’ll be well-rested in the morning
.”

Georgia pursed her lips and folded her arms across her chest.
“That doesn’t answer my question
and you know it
.”

“What was the question again?”

“We both know you heard me loud and clear the first time.”

Alex groaned in frustration.
“You’re going to make me tell you, aren’t you?”

“Well,
considering I’ve covered your butt these past couple days,
I think I’m owed some kind of explanation.
That aside, we’re friends. I’m not asking to be
nosy
, I’m asking because I care about you. Please tell me what’s going on?”

Georgia could be quite persistent when
she put her mind to something and she did have a point. The redhead had her back when no one else did. Alex doubted that she would have made it through these last eight years without her friend
. “
I had some visitors last night.”

Your letter writer?”

Alex nodded. “It was two of them
,
actually.”

Georgia raised a brow. “Really? Two of them? You know, I thought it was odd when you kept saying they and them instead of he or her but I didn’t really think about it. Who are they?”

“These two guys I used to know. We grew up together
.”

“Were you close?”

“Very.”

“So what happened?”

“Let’s just say that things got a little complicated. We haven’t spoken in years but after ignoring me for these past eight years, they decided it was time for me to go home to Bradfordville.”

“What for?”

Alex shrugged. She was trying to figure out that part herself. Surely they could find some other plaything to toy with. Heaven knows there was never a shortage of women throwing themselves at them.
“They say it’s because my grandmother wants to see
me
,
but they implied they wanted me to come home for good
.”

“Who are these people? Are they more relatives?”

“No.”

“Is one of them an old boyfriend?”

“If I told you, you’d probably never look at me the same.”

“You’re my one of my closest friends. I wouldn’t judge you.”

Alex sighed seeing no point in keeping her past a secret any longer. “Like I said before, they used to be friends of mine. My grandmother worked as their housekeeper since before they were born and when I came along she would take me to work with her. They became my best friends.
Eventually
,
it became more.”

Georgia narrowed her eyes. “What do you mean by, ‘became more’. She made air quotes.

“Exactly how it sounds.”

“You mean you were romantically involved? With both of them.”

Alex nodded. “Yes, but it went horribly wrong. I thought what we had was special but apparently I was wrong. When my grandmother found out…let’s just say she didn’t take it well.
Wow, so you ended up dating them both at one point?”

“No, I wouldn’t say that,” she finally answered.
“It’s kind of hard to put a label on what we were. It was something…different and complicated.”

“Okay, it’s clear you’re not going to expound on that but what about your grandmother
?
Yesterday
,
you said the
two of you weren’t close but
if she
wants to see you, maybe she’s looking to make peace. Or maybe she’s not well. Sometimes when family members have disagreements nothing brings them back together faster than the birth of a child or an illness.”

“I haven’t thought of that. And as heartless as this sounds,
me
and my grandmother have never been that close.
If she’s sick and wants to make amends I have no idea what she could possibly say to me to make up for all the years of emotional neglect. I’m not saying that I don’t care for her, but it’s hard
to
rebuild something when there was never a foundation in the first place.”

“Maybe she just didn’t know how to show that she cared about you. Some people are like that,
incapable of showing affection.”

Alex snorted. “That’s not exactly true in my grandmother’s chase. She practically doted on the family she took care of and whenever my Uncle visited which wasn’t often, she would fawn all over him. It was like she was a completely different person around other people. But when it came to me, she acted as if I were a huge burden. I get it, she wasn’t expecting to raise her grandchild because of my mother’s irresponsibility but it would have been nice to know that she at least cared a little for me.”

Georgia closed the gap between them and gave Alex a tight hug. “I’m so sorry sweetie. It’s no wonder you never talk abou
t her. I completely understand. But what are you going to do about your mystery men?”

“I’m not sure, but you know how the saying goes: y
ou can never go home.”

“That’s bullshit. You can go home if you want to, but you’re being stubborn.
I empathize with you, I really do, but if your grandmother is
willing to make peace
don’t you want to at least find out what she wants? If not for her for yourself
.”

I’m doing myself a favor by staying away. The last words she ever said to me is something no
one
should say to another human being, let alone a grandmother to a granddaughter.”

“Maybe not, but I know what it’s like wondering
,
what if
?
I told you about my family and how my parents got divorced because my father was a raging alcoholic. He was mean and abusive
.
He
made us all miserable. I was so glad when Mom finally left him. But years later
,
he got sick and he wanted to see me and my brother. Jack went but I refused. I didn’t want to grant his one dying wish because I didn’t feel like I owed him a damn thing. And then
,
he died. And I
didn’t get
to ask him all the things I wanted to. I never got that closure
.
I had the opportunity but I didn’t
take it
.
I’ve
regret
ted that
for a long time, now. Don’t do that to yourself
.
You
might not regret it now,
but
one day you
will
and there won’t be a thing you can do about it. As for t
hose men
who’ve
got you all twisted in a knot, I’m guessing you prob
ably still have feelings for them
,
otherwise
,
it wouldn’t be affecting you this much. You should
consider taking a vacation. You never take off so I bet you have a
ton
of paid time off
.”

Alex couldn’t argue with her friend

s logic because everything she said made perfect sense. “I’ll think about it.”

Georgia patted her on the shoulder. “That’s a start. I should go back in but I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Okay. Goodnight.”

“And be sure to get plenty of sleep tonight. I don’t want to see you walking around the hospital like the walking dead.”

Alex chuckled. “Will do.” As tired as she was, that wouldn’t be a problem.

Alex
re
played
the
conversation with Georgia in her head over and over again as she drove back to her apartment. By the time she arrived home, she was so
wiped out
all she wanted to do was slip into bed and fall into a deep dreamless sleep. That
,
however
,
wasn’t to be
,
because as she approached her building, she spied Cash and Rusty standing by the entrance. Her first instinct was to turn around and get back into her car and drive off. But remembering her friend’s words, she knew she had to confront them or else she’d never find the closure she needed to get past the pain she still carried deep within her soul.
