It occurred to her that she was either dreaming or that she should be terrified. After all, she had just seen a wolf somehow morph into a human being. However, something told her not to be frightened, and as she looked at the man, she realized where she recognized him from.
My dream. That’s the man from my dream!

He was well-built and fair-haired with bright blue eyes and chiseled features, and Alison marveled at the hard, defined muscles on his chest, arms and abdomen. She had never seen such an amazing-looking man in the flesh; only in movies and magazines where the models could be Photoshopped so much that they no longer looked human. This man was real, though, and he was standing right in front of her.
Is he human, though? He was just a wolf!
she thought, reaching down to pinch her arm.
It’s another dream. It has to be.

He turned away and glared at Tim, who was still shaking and cowering on the ground, bleeding with his shirt torn open.

“Get the hell out of here. If you ever come near her again, or ever tell anyone what you saw here, I’ll come back for you. And next time I won’t stop until you’re dead,” the man growled.

Tim took the opportunity to whimper, get up and run back to his house, not even looking back over his shoulder once. The strange wolf-man smiled down at Alison, and his eyes suddenly began to glow a bright amber color; the same color that they had been when he was a wolf only seconds before.

“I’m sorry, Alison. I knew you were coming, and I was out hunting with the pack. I’m sorry that I wasn’t here to greet you the second you arrived in town,” he said.

His smooth, masculine voice turned Alison’s insides to liquid, and she was stunned into silence for a moment. Finally realizing that this was all really happening, Alison timidly responded.

“How do you know my name? What are you?” she asked.

Somehow, it didn’t matter that much to her as she gazed up at him. As his eyes lingered on her, Alison felt a torrent of strange emotions flooding through her mind, as if a dam had suddenly broken somewhere. Even though she knew that she should be scared, she didn’t feel any fear at all, and something told her that this was what she had been waiting for her whole life. The man standing in front of her had some sort of wild animal magnetism about him, and she knew that she was in the right place.

“Close your eyes,” he said gently, crouching down beside her. “What’s the first name that comes into your head?”

Following his orders, Alison squeezed her eyes shut, and a name immediately popped into her head.

“Jason Vincent.”

Her eyes flew open again, and she saw a wide grin spread across the man’s face.

“See? You do know me. You’ve known me your whole life, as I have known you. I’ve been waiting for you to realize and come to me. I could sense that you were close, and when you arrived today, I picked up on your scent straight away. I came as soon as I could.”

“I don’t understand,” Alison said. “What are you talking about?”

“You’re mine, and I’m yours. It is destiny. At birth, you were promised to me, and now I will make you my mate.”

“Your mate? Please, I really don’t understand what’s happening here.”

“You saw what I am,” he replied.

“A… werewolf?” Alison replied, still half-thinking that this was all a dream.
Werewolves can’t be real. They’re just a made-up thing for kids to read about.

“Yes.”

“I… I don’t believe this,” she mumbled, pinching herself again.

He laughed, although his eyes didn’t seem to be amused; rather, they seemed to implore her.

“I can assure you that I am very real. All werewolf males must take a mate. We mate for life, and my life won’t begin until you’re mine. You are
meant
to be mine. Take my hand.”

His voice continued to have its effect on Alison, and something in the back of her mind told her that what he was saying made sense, werewolf or not. He reached his hand out to her and she tentatively grabbed it, gasping the second their skin came into contact.

His touch immediately ignited a fire deep in her core, as if she had been suddenly set ablaze from within, and she felt another flood of primitive emotions surging through her. She had never experienced anything like it, and she felt as if she had been dead on the inside all her life, only to be brought to life now by the werewolf’s magical touch.

To her, it was almost unbelievable that such a stunningly attractive man would want her, and it was all happening so fast. Even in her wildest dreams, she couldn’t have pictured something like this happening…
except, I did. He was literally in my dreams,
she realized, remembering the dream on the plane again.
Oh my god, he’s right. This is meant to be… why else would it be happening like this?

Standing up, he pulled her to her feet and then grabbed her by the shoulders. Wave after wave of warmth coursed through Alison’s body, and every nerve ending seemed to be on fire. She looked up into his eyes, which were still glowing a bright yellow.

“I do know you,” she whispered, feeling as if she had actually known him forever despite having just met him. “Jason. I am yours, aren’t I?”

He gave her a wolfish grin and let go of her hand.

“Yes. I knew you’d come round eventually. I would have waited forever, but I’m glad that you’re here now.”

“Is that why I was so drawn to this town? Because I’m your… mate?”

“Yes,” he replied, sliding an arm around her waist.

“My mother was from here. I thought it was because of that.”

“We can discuss our families later. Right now, I want to take you as my mate, properly. I’ve waited so many years for you to get here,” he murmured, leaning down and moving his mouth over her left ear.

His warm breath on the soft skin of Alison’s neck sent goose bumps prickling up all over her skin, and she somehow knew exactly what he meant when he said that he wanted to take her as his. She wanted it as badly as him, and a tingling, pulsing sensation spread down between her thighs as her mind clouded with needful lust.

“Do it then,” she said. “Take me.”

As she spoke, Jason moved his head back up and looked down at her. His eyes darkened with arousal, and he let out a low growl; a sound which suddenly seemed like music to Alison’s ears.

“Are you aware of what this means? It means forever,” he said, his jaw clenching with his barely-contained desire for her.

“Yes,” she replied breathlessly. “But first, let’s go inside.”

With that, he lifted her up in his arms and headed through her gate, his well-muscled arms easily supporting her weight as he strode up the garden path towards her doorstep. He obviously wanted to carry her over the threshold like a newly-married couple, and he growled as he tried to open the door.

“It’s locked,” she said, just as desperate as him to get inside.

Fishing around in her pocket for the key, she handed it to him, and he unlocked the door and then kicked it fully open, staring down at her with his eyes burning. He seemed to already know where everything was, and seconds later he was throwing her down on her new bed as the moonlight streamed through the half-open curtains of her bedroom.

His eyes blazed as he pounced on her, and Alison gasped with happiness as he yanked her legs apart and settled himself between them. When she had felt the sudden itch to move to this town from California, she had had absolutely no idea that the reason would be to become the mate to a werewolf, but everything about it seemed so right; so perfect. It was as if every single thing in her life had been leading up to this exact moment... the moment that she was finally united with her perfect man, and the moment that her life really began. His, too. He had said that earlier - his life couldn’t begin until he had his mate.

“Kiss me,” he growled, leaning down and grabbing her chin.

As he tilted her face closer towards his, Alison closed her eyes and pressed her mouth up to his. The second that his lips were on hers, he took firm control, possessing her mouth in the same way that she knew he wanted to possess her body. His entire body seemed to radiate heat as his tongue glided through her semi-parted lips, and Alison felt as if lava was streaming through her veins as she kissed him back, tasting and exploring his mouth with her own tongue as he hungrily devoured her through his kiss as if she were his prey.

Feeling as if she might be about to actually melt right through the bed, she broke away and murmured softly.

“Jason, please… do whatever you want to me. I need you.”

As soon as the words came out of her mouth, she knew that she had never meant anything more in her entire life up until this exact moment. Jason growled again and moved his mouth to her neck, nipping softly at her delicate skin before sucking on her earlobe. Her earlobes had always been one of the most sensitive parts of her body, and Alison gasped, still shocked that he seemed to know every little thing about her.

A soft hum of pleasure escaped her mouth as he continued to nip and suck at her earlobes, and she felt as if fireworks were exploding in her mind. He clearly wanted her, but he also seemed to want to draw this out as long as possible, teasing her until she couldn’t take it anymore.

One of his arms coasted over her shoulder, down to her belly and hips, and he began to paw at the soft wool of her coat.

“Take this off,” he murmured, biting her neck before sitting up and eliciting a soft yelp from Alison.

She obliged, arching her back and quickly removing the coat, and his eyes blazed as he saw the blouse underneath.

“And that. All of it.”

For a moment, Alison was afraid. He was so perfectly built and handsome, and she was…
well, I’m me. I’m chubby and plain. Aren’t I?
she thought, chewing her lip nervously as she hesitated.

“I can already tell how perfect you are. I’ve seen you every night in my dreams anyway,” Jason said. “So take it all off, and I’ll do the same.”

With that, he flashed her an amused smirk and unzipped his pants. He wasn’t wearing anything underneath, and Alison gasped as she saw him completely naked for the first time. As her eyes lingered on his muscular abdomen, she couldn’t help but slowly move them south, checking out everything he had between his legs.

As soon as she saw his thick, smooth manhood, she felt an urge to reach out and grab it. It was already rock-hard, and she knew that it was hard for her.
He really does think I’m perfect,
she realized, before smiling back at him and sliding her pants down her legs, all her previous reservations immediately forgotten. After they were off, she unbuttoned her blouse and threw it across the room before lying back in her bra and panties and spreading her legs slightly, giving him easier access to her body.

“God, your body is even more incredible than I imagined. Although… I said I wanted to see all of it,” he growled, moving down the bed and propping himself up on his elbows between her thighs. “But that’s okay. I want to tear the rest of your clothes off with my teeth.”

In an instant, he had shifted into a wolf again, and his yellow eyes stared straight up at her as his sharp teeth nipped at her bare belly and thighs. He was only biting her softly, and the sensation was a strange and unfamiliar one to Alison. It slightly hurt, but each nip seemed to send electricity coursing through her veins at the same time, arousing her even further until she was in an almost frenzied state.

Letting out a soft moan of anticipation, she closed her eyes and lay back on the pillow, waiting for the wolf to tear her underwear off. He finally did as promised, sinking his teeth into the waistband of her panties and pulling them down her legs before jumping up and pawing at her bra.

“Hey! I thought you said you were going to tear it all off with your teeth,” she protested, swatting at the wolf’s muzzle and paws.
