Chapter 3

Eros stepped into the extensive corridor, who was meeting my father's bedroom.

He seemed so anxious to communicate to Vincent about my presence in that castle. And also to show his master he didn't fail in his mission.

The vampire young stopped near
the wood door and knocked on the bedroom door, announcing his arrival.

A male voice demanded behind the door.

"Come in." he ordered.

Eros went on and opened the door and stopped into the room and closed the door behind him. He looked in the direction in which Vincent was seating on his
armchair; it was sculptured especially to him. The same was made with stones.

“You
are back."

He said looking at his servant.

Eros stopped in the midst of room and looking at his master, who was sitting on his armchair. My father was dressed in wine robe, it was enormous, and when he walked the fabric was sliding on the ground.

“I arrived
here just now." he informed him.

“My
daughter?" he asked as he was dazzling.

“I
brought her with me."

Vincent rose from his
chair; he seemed satisfied with the news.

"I knew you would never disappoint me! It was not by chance I chose you for this. Nobody could do this so well as much as you."

My father devoted him therefore.

"She is unconscious; I believe she will soon return to herself. Eros informed.

"Where did you put her?" my father asked.

"She is in the living room; Valeska and Bizak are next to her." Eros explained.

"I will wear appropriate clothes to receive her."

"I will rest, most of the time, I don't do this."

Eros said and left his master's room.

Chapter 4

When I opened my eyes I saw two strange creatures looking at me. Their curious looks, as if they have never seen a human being in their lives. The vampire girl approached first.  She was owner of an explicit sensuality. Her dress was tempting, tight - red color and her make-up was intense. She made me remember my friend Mirta.

Her fire-red hair, length to her neck, her enormous eyes, in gray coloring, and her mouth was expressive.

Her skin was whitish. She was a beautiful vampire.

The boy next to her, he also had hi
s charm, he was strong and tall, his face was pale and attractive, his brown hair. Any woman would see to him. His look had similar characteristics to Valeska's look, they were gray.

I looked at all the corners in that living room.   I frowned and in intention to find out what I was looking for, with my uneasy eyes.

"How are you?" she asked me.

My brain didn’t assimilate her question. I was lying,
and then I lifted my head slowly and pronounced carefully...

"EROS!"

"Take it easy, he came with you." She said and her tone seemed friendly.

“Where
is he?" I asked, discomfort could not abandon me, unless, Eros could be there, near me.

“He
was just talking to Vincent." The guy answered.

I rose up and it made me dizzy, it looked like I was out of one's wits. I realized I was barefoot and dirty. I saw this, looking at my dress, which I dressed
to Rock and Roll show's night.

I just imagined I was dreaming,

"She is dizzy." The boy commentated as he was looking at his friend.

"It is natural she being this way." A male voice coming from the corridor said.

A man arrived here. As soon as I looked at him, I felt I had already seen him in another place. He was the man from my dreams, though I didn't have seen him clearly in my dreams, but I knew
it was him. He was well dressed, wine-colored cape and rings adorned his fingers, his nails were long, his long hair, length to his waist and black as night, his pale skin and his look was stunning, also in gray coloring.

My father was a handsome man; therefore my mother had not been able to resist him at that night. I swore
it; I would meet him in his age more forward. He looked 35.  Almost twenty years later and e he was in the same manner, my mother had acquired some traces of expression on her face and also some wrinkles and without mentioning someone white hair was lost in her scalp, and she covered them with dye. I waited so many for this day, I being face to face with my father. I only didn't imagine that it would be that way, at that place, at other planet.

He was distant from me, watching me.

I did the same thing to him.

"My daughter."

He said, deeply touched and stretched out his arms for me to go in his direction.  However, I hesitated about doing it.  I was not accustomed yet to the idea he was my father.

"Come to give me
a hug!" he insisted.

I walked in his direction, my steps were slow, and it seemed I would never come closer to him. When
I realized I was involved in a paternal hug.

"You are part from me, Valkyrie."

I continued next to him for a few minutes, until he left me to fix the glance upon me.

"You look like me."

I gave him a smile without thinking.

"Your mother also contributed to make you as beautiful."

He commented as he was looking at me yet.

"Won't you tell anything to your father?"

Valeska asked.

"Leave her!" my father ordered. "I will have all the time of Neptune to hear her."

Valeska kept silent, her inconvenience was an affront to the ears of Vincent.

"...My father..." I said as my eyes were blurred by an accumulation of tears.

"What a sweet voice!" my father said as he was more and more enchanted.

My father introduced Valeska and Bizak to me.
He insisted on to stick out they were part of our family and they were there to serve me.

"Everything you need, Valeska and Bizak will be near you to serve you."

He said and put his hands on my shoulders.

“Valeska
take her to take a bath."

“Yes
, master." She did what her master had commanded to her.

Valeska took me to a place of which it could be called of bathroom.  All the rooms in that castle were vast, not only the bathroom. It was almost the amplitude of the house where I lived with my mother at the planet Earth. There was no shower, water tap and toilet seat. In fact, I was surprised at everything. I could only be torches lit on the walls and an enormous hole in the ground, inside it there was a liquid emerald-green, this would be the water for my bath. Valeska took care of everything, she till helped me take off my dress. She guided me to the hole with water, which I called ‘the lake’. My toes became cold and wrinkled as I went into that icy water.  When I felt the cold- water had covered all my body, my skin became full of lumps, as many shivers. I had never taken bath in water so cold like that.

"It is so icy!" I murmured.

"You feel like this because your blood is hot!" She explained and smiled at me.

I perceived they had not that kind of problem, after all, they were as frozen as much as the water which I had taken my bath.

I arrived in the room which was destined to me.  My bedroom had enormous curtains on the window and my bed was sculptured of stone.
There was no mattress; it looked like a marble table, that is, smooth and cold.

“There’s
no pillow here? Not even bedspread?

I asked her, as I was exploring the place with my critical look.

"We don't need it."

She
answered naturally.

"Do you
all lie down on this?" I referred to what I considered being a marble table.

I could not avoid
my disappointment.

"There are several manners to sleep here, when you to become one of us, probably you will find yours."

She answered, staring at my fearful expression.

A shiver ran down my spine as I
was hearing those words, soon I would be like them,

I had no
choice, except I should accept my sad destiny.

She put on me a long
, salmon dress; the fabric was heavy and rough.

During the time that she was buttoning up my dress, she could see an engraving on my back, that is, the symbol of Neptune.

"You have it on your back!" she said and your eyes ran over the engraving.

I felt another discomfort.

"My engraving is here."

She
showed me where it was. The symbol was on her nape, I could see as soon as she rose up her hair, distancing it from her skin.

"We all have one." she said as she turned to face me again.

"Why have we this?"

"It appears on our bodies, when we are chosen by your father to be part of his lineage."

She concluded and looked at me with enthusiasm.

“And
it also protects us from the clarity, thus we can go out during the day at the planet Earth.

“Now
I understand because Eros could attend at school every morning."

I said, looking at the corner of the wall, as I was
remembering again some scenes of Eros at school.

"This would never make possible if he could not have the symbol on his body." she affirmed.

Valeska took pride in her life, for being a vampire. She always tried to do everything with dedication and serve my father without efforts, she was grateful
for everything he had done in her life.

Chapter 5

We returned to the living room. The place was empty, my father and Bizak were
not there. We stopped in the midst of the enclosure, without knowing what to do.

"Where are they?" I asked.

"Probably they are resting. If leaving, they sleep all the time. Sleeping, it helps to replace our energies. And we vampires need too much."

"Where is ... Eros?" I hesitated saying his name.

“He is reposing, too."

She
informed me and looked at me with suspicion.

Valeska asked me to accompany her to another room of the castle. She wanted to show me a thing, but she didn't want to say me what it was. We walked through the corridor carefully and making no noise.

"Make
no noise, we, vampires have acute hearing, we hear any noise in the distance. And we detest to be interrupted when we are sleeping."

I did exactly what she asked me, we walked tiptoe and our bodies looked like a curved line, as if we
could be taken by surprise at every moment.   She stopped in front of one door and I remained behind her.

“No
word." I was advised before she opened the door.

We entered a dark place, there was no clarity, I could only see walls and some objects. We
stopped in the midst of the room; Valeska looked up at the ceiling and gestured with her head for me to do the same thing. Then I looked up at the ceiling, what I saw it made me amazement. Eros was sleeping upside down, he was hanged up and his arms crossed over his chest.

Looking
like a bat sleeping upside down. Valeska pulled my arm trying to advance our exit of the room, before he could awake.

We
stopped in the midst of the corridor as soon as we were outside the bedroom.  I rested my back against the wall as my thought went forward to that creature upside down.  Everything he did, in my way it was fascinating.

"What do you think about the way he sleeps?"

"I am surprised; I have never seen somebody sleeping like this... upside down like a bat."

"You tell, 'vampires' because normal people will never sleep this way."

"Sometimes I forget you all are..."

"Creatures from the darkness."
she completed with her right words.

"How did you become into a vampire?"

"The right question is, when did your father became me into a vampire?"

She said as we went
on through the corridor as long as she told me the facts.

"I was always a complicated
person; I never lived well with my parents ... and with my brothers. One day... I decided to abandon my house..."

"Did
you leave your family?" I asked, surprised.

"Yes, I did. And I had no regret. My family mistreated me all the time."

Valeska knew to narrate her version, describing her suffered life beside her family.
