She felt one of his hands leave her thigh, then yelped when she felt his hand come down on her ass, stinging but exciting at the same time.  Sabrina moaned loudly, then swallowed hard as electric current pulsed through her body from where his hand landed on her flesh.  Lord, she'd never thought she'd actually like that, she had just been teasing him.  But
she couldn't deny that she did.

"You like that, sugar?
" he asked biting her ear lobe. "
M
aybe I need to spank you more often...Lord knows you deserve it.
  Y
ou're a very bad girl," he said in a deep gravelly voice
near her ear
, then his hand landed on her ass again and she whimpered and tried to stop the orgasm barreling down on her, but couldn't.

Her whole body
trembled
with it, and she screamed out his name.  She was breathing so fast now
,
as he kept slamming into her body, she thought she might pass out.  Suddenly she felt him tense then
he leaned
his head against the door and roared his release, his fingers clutching her ass
.

She heard him sucking in air through his nostrils and felt his heart racing against her chest.  My god, that was the most exciting, incredible sex she'd ever had in her life.  But she couldn't tell him that after reaming him out for saying it the first tim
e they'd had sex.

He was
still
hot and hard inside of her, and she squeezed her inner muscles a
round
him
, then
giggled and licked his ear. "Jesus, cowboy...I'll have to be naughty more often, if that's my punishment."

She felt his hand gently rubbing her butt cheek, then he groaned, "I didn't hurt you did I baby? I'm sorry, I just lost it."

"Okay at the risk of getting my ass slapped again, I have to say that was the most incredible sex I've ever had in my life...no you didn't hurt me."

He lifted his head and his eyes glittered angrily, "Incredible sex, huh?"

She laughed then kissed him, "I know, sugar...I just couldn't think of any other way to say it.  I'm sorry for getting on you about that before.  I understand now."

He grinned then and slid her down his body until her feet touched the floor.  "Now that we have the edge off, I have big plans for you tonight, darlin'," he bent down and picked up her clothes and handed them to her, then stood back up suddenly, and said in a low shocked whisper. "Oh,
shit
..."

"What?" Sabrina wondered what the heck he could be thinking
, his face had gone pale and his eyes glittered with some emotion she couldn't name
.  She grabbed her clothes from him and
waited
for him to explain the shocked look on his face.

He swallowed hard then looked at her seriously, "Are you on the pill, sugar?"

Sabrina felt like someone had hit her with a taser gun and she knew now why
h
is face looked like it did...they hadn't used a condom.
Her throat worked a couple of times before she could force out the words, "No, I quit using them after Ken--two years ago."

"I'm sorry, darlin'..." Cole told her and shoved hand through his thick dark blond hair.

Sabrina

His eyes narrowed and he pulled her to him
and told her gruffly
, "There better not be any other man fathering your children...or even the chance of that happening."

"That's not what I meant...I love you, Cole and you are one of the best men I know," she clarified then stood on her tiptoes and kissed him
.  Looking
deeply into his eyes
, she
told him,
"If I'm pregnant with your baby, I'll be the happiest woman in the world."

He growled then pulled her to him and caught her lips with his
, the
kiss was full of emotion and promise.  "I love you too, sugar...
so damned much," he told her then said, "L
et's go take a quick shower
, so we can get out of here
.
"

A few minutes later they walked back into the living room,
she finished dressing
and Cole left her there to go into the kitchen.  He came back smiling and carrying
a picnic hamper and a bottle of wine.
"I packed us a picnic and we're going to a special place I want to show you."

Cole
sat the
basket and bottle
down,
then
dropped the towel around his waist
.  Grabbing
a pair of board shorts that were thrown over a chair,
he
put them on,
then
slid his feet into a pair of flip flops.  His glorious, tanned, muscled chest
was left bare for her to admire, which Sabrina didn't mind one bit.

She smiled and walked over to him and picked up the basket and wine.  He grabbed it from her quickly and told her, "Ut, uh...this is my show tonight, darlin'.  You're along for the ride."

"Mmm...I look forward to the ride, sugar
,
"
she looped her arm through his then kissed his shoulder.

"Stop that or I might have to spank you again," he told her playfully, his eyes full of heat and mischief.

"Promises, promises..." she said then finished, "Now let's get out of here before I hog tie you to the bed and make
you
scream."

Surprise flickered in his eyes, then he said in a low whisper, "Promises, promises..." and
he
put his arm around her waist then leaned down to give her
a heated kiss.

He pulled her to the back door and across the huge deck, then they walked down the stairs and she followed him to the floating dock where a small motorboat sat moored.
It was dark out now, but t
he lights on the dock illuminated the darkened water and cast a yellow glow over the backyard.
Cole
helped her into the boat and it rocked gently, then he climbed in behind her and cranked the motor.

Sabrina looked up at the sky and saw a blanket of stars so thick and sparkly they looked like a rhinestones on black velvet.  The moon was full and it cast an iridescent glow over the smooth glassy lake making it picture perfect.  She inhaled deeply of the earthy fishy smell, and then sighed.  Peace filled her
,
and she couldn't think of anywhere else in the world she'd rather be.

Her life in
Phoenix
had always been filled with something to do, somewhere else she needed to be...or some new adventure Kenny was taking her on.  Relaxation wasn't something she was familiar with.  Cole had taught her how to relax, and enjoy the beautiful things to be seen...to be at peace with herself.

"This is wonderful, Cole...thank you," she said as he
guided them
away from the dock and took them out into the open water.

He looked over at her and gave her a half-smile.  "You're welcome, darlin'...but you haven't seen anything yet," he told her the
n
increased their speed across the water.  His hair was blowing back and he lifted his chin to the wind.  Sabrina thought he looked at peace too, and so damned sexy it made her teeth hurt.  The moon painted his chest and shadows formed along his washboard abs and firm chest.  Her fingers itched to run along tho
se ridges to their conclusion.

He glanced back at her then and his eyes snagged on hers
then
he smiled, "Your face is such an open book...good lord woman, you're going to kill me."

"Cant' think of a better way to go," she told him in a low purr then licked her lips.

Cole's eyes darkened to the color of the lake and he growled then dragged them away from her
to
look over her shoulder focusing on where they were going.
She wondered where he was taking her.  He seemed pretty damned excited about it, wherever it was.  As long as he was with her, she was sure she was going to love it.

They rode in silence for about fifteen minutes, then he turned right into a large cove with an island in the center.

"We playing castaways tonight?  I like it..." She grinned at him and watched as he pulled the boat up on the sand and jumped out to pull it up further on the shore.  He reached down and picked up the bottle and tucked it under his arm then grabbed the basket and held
his
other hand out
to help
her to step out.

The trees were thick where the beach ended and she was a little anxious about going inside there, whether he was with her or not.  She could hear crickets chirping and other odd animal and insect sounds.  "You sure this is safe?  You bring your gun with you?" she asked looking up at him as she slid her hand into his.

He threw his head back and laughed, "If it wasn't safe, I'd be dead.  Luke and I about lived here every summer."

She stepped out then stood beside him and eyed the woods again.  "You go first then...if you don't get eaten, I'll follow in a few minutes."

"Gonna use me as bait then?" he asked her with humor shining in his eyes. "Like Cassie did with James and the coyotes?"

"She hasn't told me that story, but if it worked for her..."
she said looking up at him with a grin.

"You've got to hear it...you'll laugh your ass off
,
" he told her then shook his head
and added,
"
She's something....
"

"That she is...she's one of the strongest women I've ever met
,
"
Sabrina said.

Cole nodded then told her seriously, "It's safe, I promise
.
"
His eyes held other promises, as he finished with
, "I'll take care of you
, sugar
...
always.
"

With a squeeze of his hand to reassure her,
Cole
led her
across the sand to the tree line
then
down a dirt path she hadn't even seen from the beach.

N
ever letting go of her hand, seeming to know exactly where he was going
, Cole led her down a dark path with tall trees on either side
.  He must be like a bat, she thought, she could hardly see anything, but he didn't seem to have that trouble.  A few mosquitoes decided to try and have her for dinner, so she swatted them, but didn't break stride with him.  Finally, he stopped and took her off the path and into the thick woods, brushing aside brambles and ivy that grew between the trees.  When he reached a tree with evenly spaced
wooden
boards nailed into
it
going upward
like ladder rungs
, he stopped and walked around the back of the tree.  Putting the wine bottle inside of the basket, he tied it to a rope hanging there.

Grabbing her hand, he walked back around the huge tree then said, "You climb up in front of me, and I'll make sure you don't fall."

Her eyebrows flew up and she asked him, "We're going to have our picnic on a tree limb?"

He laughed and swatted her behind
playfully
. "Not hardly, darlin'...just climb."

With one more glance over her shoulder, she put her boot on the first rung and hefted herself up.  When she reached the third rung, she looked back down and said, "I thought you were going to keep me from falling?"
