curious

note
that
no
authority
writing
on
Kepler
seems
to
have
noticed
this
stubborn
omission

the
word
"ellipse";

because
historians

science
recoil

the
irrationality
of
their
heroes,
as
Kepler
himself
recoiled

the
apparent
irrationality
of
the
elliptic
orbits
which
he
discovered.
